That the thing tho this is fun for the survivors most if any killer find the looping boring and anoying because if you need to follow the survivor until they make a mistake and you as a killer are allow to hit them ( ofcourse this is not apply if you play killer like hag etc). The reason huntress feel fair in 1v1 is because 1) she have limit ammo and she need to reaload very often in the game ( literally letting the survivors go for free) 2) because she is 110%.
If you try to apply all this to the other killers then you will destoy them because anlike huntress and DS the other killers don't have range attacks.
You may think it will make it worse if you make gens take more time but the truth is is the only way to have "fair" 1v1 ( in a game made for 1v4) without make all the killers leave the game for good.
You forget that huntress can shoot over loops and has insane slug potential she is a fair 1v1 the better player typically wins.

If he's "waiting" at a jungle gym you can just "wait" him or run to another loop, it all boils down to simply not giving him the angle for his shot.
I've already said what's the counterplay to Deathslinger, but you chose to ignore my comment and just continued your whining. But that's okay, what to expect from someone who watches Ussylis and can't keep up with an argument without saying "1v1 me" because you can't prove your point. But ok, you can continue with your "huur I have to guess" argument.
I never wait as in stand still I meant to see if you vacuum vault or dodge in other words zone you.
All your counterplay consisits of guesses and breaking los which is fair but sti angood slunger wont let you break los.

And what about killer's like me that literally try to play fair but get punished by the perk for playing fair? Imo DH is a crutch and a perk that literally tells killer's '######### you for playing your cards' even before the perk wasn't working it was a crutch
That's why I woukdnr care if DS was deactivated on another hoom but even then it isnt that big of a deal. Also yes DH corrects mistakes i use sprint burst I'm good at looping so I mean. Also its jsut optimal use, you play as spirit and stand still you aent phasing kinda crutch that you are cheesing hits but to each their own.

I'm glad to hear that. Just to make it crear tho, I know that DS is very hard to beat in 1v1, in the not as many as I'd like matches I had I've had vs slingers between all those that were bad I've had a few who were really good so I know that if slinger plays extremely well he'll down you super fast. For me it's just fun to vs killer like that, I love facing killers who most players don't like to vs due to their strong chase power like PH, nurse, spirit, slinger, etc even if I go down early and die etc.
I know many hate that but since I love those playstyles I defent them so that they don't get the nurse treatement whom I loved to face but after her "rework" I hardly see her once in 10 games unlike before it.
So with all that clear and if's it's just for fun then I'd love to have a few matches vs slinger.
Yeah I understand a bit more now I've been trying to face more nurses recently too luckily infected a legacy one and got to hone my skills.
I'm down for some fun matches against you who knows maybe we can find a way to consistently make these guesses.

I mean if those were the conditons I'd be willing to try the proving except the fact that I think the only thing we could prove is that yes lag effects the game, As iirc we're in different regions, and even when just playing the game in my own region I semi-regularly see both survivors and killers just sorta teleporting around.
If we are in different regions it would skew the data as if I play killer I would get unfair hits but if you truly want to try I'm all for it.

I'm excited as well I hope it does come no more gen rushing and maybe they will make better designed killers now that killers have more time to pressure.

This is offtopic so it's bypassing my no more discussing final statement.
Tbh I wouldn't mind some practice vs slinger. Whenver I play survivor I can't get to face him, everyone plays M1 killers or spirit. I've never said I can do "educated predictions so consistently" I don't know where you found that, I've just said that he has counterplay that's very hard to pull off and requires a lot of experince and knowledge about DS.
If you want I wouldn't mind a few matches of 1v1 vs slinger on one condition that you won't be using it as argument material since I know I'm not a great survivor since when I play DBD I enjoy killer much more so I lack a lot of chase experience as survivor. I know this might bite me and you'll forever use a few matches of me sucking vs slinger as proof that he doesn't have counterplay to silence any of my opinions but I really enjoy facing him and getting better so if it's just for fun I wouldn't mind getting a bit better vs slinger since I can't get almost any normal matches vs him.
Ofc I don't want to waste your time since I'll probably go down pretty early so take it as you will. As I said it's more of a for fun 1v1 and not some me wanting to show you how to counter DS since I know that I'm not someone who's good at chases vs all killers in the first place.
No I'm not like that I wont use it against you not as argument purposes I will attempt to help you improve against slinger but this is good you might see his flaws facing against mine sound fair?

You want to make killers be more fair in 1v1 so if this happen will you be ok if gens or any objective survivors have take 4 times more or so ? The idea behind a killer win fast a 1v1 is that's they have no time to speand. because normaly after the first chase ( if the other survivors are not potatoes that only want chases) killer left with 2-2,5 gen to protect.
So again if you make the killer more fair will you ok add 4 times the time you need for gens ?
The whole strength of the 1v1 argument comes from the fact that its more fun than doing gens. I dont like gens nor do I encourage hyper focusing gens unless its spirit,ph,slinger. My point is you are asking to make th boring part more boring in turn losing players. Huntress is fair in 1v1 and shes strong right?

A 1v1 if the survivors has multiple long meaningful chases against slinger using the aforementioned counterplay they prove he has counterplay of I stomp them quickly then well he has none and slinger they're proven wrong.

We're still hating on Spirit because the community is more focused on the 1v1 and not the 4v1. I'm sorry but if every killer was able to be mindlessly looped, their would be no killer's for y'all to play against.
Mad that a lot of Spirit's run Stridor (even though Stridor was literally made to counter IW) go curse out BHVR for making chase music louder, survivors regular breathing and footsteps inaudible.
And as I been saying, Spirit is a product of what's wrong with looping and flips the script on survivor's and obviously most of y'all don't like that so I believe that looping needs looked at.
No once again you fail to look at things objectively and understand the 1v1 is the most fun part of the game take that away and its gen hook sim and survivors will leave.

Well, I don’t think I’m in a bad spot, but I’m a Killer main so...
But I did read through and someone suggested that the killer shouldn’t be overpowered in the 1v1 and should be compensated with a secondary type of movement speed. It’s already been talked and suggested but...
As far as making the chase/mind game more balanced. You simply have to add another layer of choice. Deathslinger players do not want to deal with the wind up of a huntress and the forced reload slowdown and survivors want something to battle. So you just add a wind up time to Deathslinger BUT also add a (5-10) second window where he can instantly raise his gun (like now) AFTER a finished reload. Now Deathslingers have to decide to work against the slower wind up, losing a bit of instant threat but under certain portions of the map, still giving time to hit a shot, or saving an empty gun and waiting to find someone and then reload and having a window of opportunity to hunt under his strongest condition (with some timed pressure) or having his gun loaded but having met a survivor at a tight loop, choosing to misfire the gun to reload and change tactics. Doesn’t take away much from Killer but gives survivor a layer of mind game and strategy based off of killer actions.
In exchange, Killer should be able to shoot and hook anything with a surface (maybe even the ground) and be able to reel himself across the map. It wouldn’t be helpful in chases but could get you where you need to be to defend generators or get to survivors spotted with BBQ.
Just food for thought~
I wish they did more ptbs I would like to see how this plays out thanks for actually understanding my frustrations and thinking of balance rather than "entitled survivor main you just want easy to loop killers" its refreshing.

I really didn't want to reply anymore but I gotta tell you this so that I can close this off hopefully permanently.
His counterplay is "GUESSES" if that's how you want to call educated predictions that you do vs every killer in all chases even in normal M1 wraith chases when you don't see each other you're doing these. You just can't swallow that DS brings it to the next level and he forces you to do them much more often and that he as killer has the advantage in them.
Guesses are a huge part of DBD and they occur vs every killer in every chase, some smaller, some bigger. Some more survivor favored, some more killer favored. You're stuck in your own reality where guesses for whatever reason aren't valid counterplay even when they were part of DBD since it was released. Yes DS has power that is based around them, both sides do them, DS and the survivor as well. Yes they are hugely in favor of DS due to his small ADS time but that's how he was designed, where were you to give feedback once he was on the PTB, that was communities 1 shot to change his ADS but nobody complained so it's here to stay.
You for whatever reason target DS and his power that "doesn't have counterplay other then guesses" when so many other powers have guessing in them as well almost on par with DS. You can hate it as much as I hate to guess where trappers traps are placed but it's here to stay for a long time before DS gets touched again.
Now, that's all I have to say to you. You may not like it but guessing or the better word predictions is counterplay. I hate when people say it's a pure guess, that would mean a coin toss which couldn't be farther from truth. Another of the excuse word as "boring, unfun, guesses, etc" to get something nerfed.
Now I'm really done with this. I've again said my peace and I don't want to continue this anymore as we see thing very differently in the matter of counterplay.
Ok good just wanted to make sure we are on the same page. His power is disgusting his guesses like you admitted are heavily in his favor. that is not fair. I'm gonna leave it at that because you still have refused my offer to 1v1 and show me how you make all these "educated predictions" so consistently.
You are another killer main who cant back up their claim.

The Blight marks a huge step for behavior for the reason that were finally getting fun killers again. Survivors have been plagued with annoying and unfun killers since spirits was released. The biggest offenders of this being spirit, deathslinger, executioner, freddy, and doctor. These killers all are extremely new and extremely annoying to play against. This is just by design and not the fault of the killers but by how the devs designed them. The Blight changes all of this by bringing us a fun to play and play against killer that who with the proper changes will be actually really good. The Blight also has brought us the best killer perks in a long time mainly dragons grip and hex:undying with amazing survivor perks too. Overall great job BHVR with bringing back fun killers.
Yeah I agree but freddy and doc actually arent that bad freddy needs tweaks to his spam snares and lunge and doc needs tweaks to spam shock. Other than that what you said is true. The blight is finally a break from braindead uncounterable killers.

You can call us second chance but I wont atop running it until killers stop tunneling. And besides the only true second chance I see when looping is dead hard but even then it hardly works.

I'm mocking your view that "you don't dodge DS he just misses you" with as equally dumb sounding argument that somehow even god nurses never miss if you didn't get it. Survivor's movement plays insanely huge role in how DS aims & times his shots and if you don't even know that they it's obvious to me why you don't think he has counterplay.
I know that you want to use this 1v1 as an "proof" if you win that DS doesn't have counterplay. If you searched around YT or twitch even a small while you would find more then enough gameplay with survivors outplaying deathslingers but all of that is dismissed by you as "DS missing or something simmiliar". You also clearly don't see the flawed logic in 1v1 me and if I win your opinion doesn't count based on 1 game. You're really desperate to silence anyone who disagrees with you if you challenge everyone who claims that DS has counterplay into 1v1 with you. Many people told you counterplay vs DS and you dismiss it, there's really no helping you if you refuse to listen.
I already know what you think about DS so any more replies would be a complete waste of time. Keep on challenging people to 1v1 as if it proofs anything.
You are mocking it because it is a truth your movement doesnt matte riff the deathslinge has good aim and can track. He shoot some fast you cant react.
A 1v1 is proof I was planning on doing multiple chases with anyone if they do want to challenge me but no one including you will because you understand you lack the skills to prove this claim of yours. All the counterplay is simply a bunch of guesses like "dodge when he shoots" now you have to guess when he does the quickshot. Link me those videos of survivors "outplaying slinger" when this not a guess. It's like that video where otz was looping a spirit and he himself said it's just guessing. You can definitely loop a slinge if you win the guesses.
Once again if you truly believe in your claim why do you still refuse to show it. We can do multiple chases just stop wit jb the excuses that I dismiss all counter when in reality it's all just x perk or guess this way or that way.

I can tell you from the bottom of my deathslinger main heart, there is no slinger in this game that will not fall for a juke at some point. Saying a good slinger wont miss is like saying a good huntress wont miss, it's completely unrealistic. It's like saying you can read every mindgame as survivor.
If you drop the pallet early and dodge at the right times it'll be hard for them to hit you. Juke and try to read when hes just baiting a shot.
Every killer has longer chases on worse maps. That's not just slinger.
If you look at the game as a whole that way and not how long you stalled the killer for then I think you're looking at the game wrong. But hey you do you.
I was being vague a good slinger wont miss many shots maybe 2-4 but my point stands juking wont so much if they have good aim. There isnt much comment good aimnplus quickshot is uncounterable.
Now we are back to pre drop and guess when he shoots his projectile in less than a second.
Fair enough.
If I have a short chase it pushed me to improve but when you have slinger make chases boring an leave me nothing for me to improve on it sucks.

If you break Deathslinger's LOS he can't quickscope you. On jungle gyms and some loops like the ones on Coldwind and Ormond he takes forever to get to a nice spot for a shot due to his 110% speed. You as a survivor can predict when this spot is going to happen and just drop the pallet or try a juke. I agree that open areas and short loops like those on Autohaven are death sentences against him, but it is your job to avoid them if you know you're against a Slinger.
Breaking los is the only thing you can do. Even in jungle gyms all they have to do is wait for a window vacuum to get a free shot. Then my bring up guessing which boils down to guess right 4head if you don't you die.

I probably am biased in some way or another and I just cant realise it. But hey, what can I do.
IMO the killer just should have an advantage from a pure fun and balance perspective. The game is 1v4, you have to consider 1v1, but the killer should have an advantage there too.
Dropping pallets early, juking, etc. You've heard it all. Positioning id say from a slinger main standpoint is most important. You'll have me looped for a solid minute in a good building. Stall him for as long as possible.
Against slinger, your skill still matters but he has more control. Id argue he has the most chase control in the game. If you are bad, you'll have the slinger looped for a solid 20 seconds, if you are good, a bare minimum 40-50. This can be increased to a minute and even 2 minutes on bad maps like trashham and good positioning.
It's that when you look at things in the 1v4, if you have a long chase with him that's awful for him due to his lack of pressure. You shouldn't look at it as "darn i went down", you should look at it as "I wasted a lot of his time there".
Basically, you play well against him, you stall his time, you do gens.
Killer already has advantages in the 1v1 a faster movement speed and a power. Aldo hit priority but that's hardly relevant if the killer has good wifi.
Juking only works on bad slingers. Dropping pallets early only works on long loop lost of the loops a braindead and short easy bloodlust. Besides he can shoot you before you reach the pallet. Also if you ar health if he shoots you, you are injured guarenteed hit breaking the chain injures you.
You are also making the counter based on good maps and if you need a specific map to have a better chase it's bad.
I look at chases with him as darn I got down because it feel cheated because nothing u did mattered it was always just a guess no true outplay.

You only see the direction she'll blink, not the exact spot. Thanks for supporting my claim that your imput only makes her job harder but overall it's still on her if she predicts you correctly and god nurse will never miss you no matter what you do or where you are, right.
You will dismiss it as "DS missing" so there's no point in wasting time on that.
You dont know the exact spot but you can make an accurate guess to hoe far shes blinking by how long she holds it. But overall you can outplay her by using her power against her. Unlike slinger your input doesnt make is job harder nor can you counter him.
A god nurse can still miss. I played tur jaynif you know him people claim hes a good nurse I still outplayed him I see the direction he blinks I go the opposite way. You cant do that with slinger.
I'm gonna play slinger you would be survivor so you can show me the counterplay. It's funny how you are so bent on not doing the 1v1 because you know your skills dont back up your claim of slingers counterplay.
So either take up my offer or stop claiming he has counterplay it only proves you cant back it up.

Mate you lot need more objectives other than pop 5 gens and disappear, playing survivor takes no skill whatsoever a bloody monkey could play and win as survivor. Did you lot not notice that when ruin was destroyed half the killer playerbase left. Because it was unnecessary.
- Bring old ruin back
- Make totem spawns a lot more harder
- don't put keys in basement chest every match
- nerf flashlights
- make it so you can only find hatch after all gens are done no matter how many survivors remain.
- kill adrenaline, dead hard etc
- delete half the pallets
- remove half the loops (which by the way they didn't fix god loops a couple of patches ago they merely made them worse)
Are you a 2019 player I can tell you know nothing about balance or the game after reading your proposed changes you are a new killer main like alot do the playerbase who complains.
If survivor takes no skill why does so much of the playerbase suck at looping. Did y ok u notice with old legion definitely t had the biggest survivor dip? If survivor is so easy let's play custom I'll play oni and loop me on blood lodge for atleast 2 minutes.
1. Old ruin was incredibly unhealthy for the game new players couldnt get through gens. It was braindead for killers who were bad st making map pressure for themselves. Pop is a good ruin replacement and so is corrupt.
2. This I would be ok with some totem spawns are so bad actually unfairly.
3. Keys arent guaranteed they still have a spawn chance but I wouldn't mind this either but in turn decrease ebony mori spawn rate way too common.
4. Flashlights have been nerfed 3 years ago crippling their addons and having nothing useful but 4! 4 addons are useful and to top it off you can look at walls and run lightborn or franklins.
5. Im mixed about this but for the most part I guess. But keys will be getting nerfed any ways and hard locked to one escape so what's the issue?
6. Adrenaline rewards you for completing your objective, dead hard is an exhaustion perk. You have to joking these perks are on cooldown to one use per 40 seconds.
7. I had 6 pallets max on auto haven it was so bad it spawned double pallets! Alot of the survivors are bad at the game if you delete the pallets we lose every game guaranteed you are showing the basis basis this one.
8. If you "remove half the loops" you essentially make blendette become meta and you will have boring games where survivors will stealth so hard you might as well quit.
So anyways be honest when did you start this game my killer biased friend I can tell you got to be new here. Havent seen 2017 loops, havent seen vacuum pallets, havent seen insta blinds. Its gross that you think this way.

No with nurse you can always lose los use your camera to see where theh aim then run accordingly. Your input actually makes nurse job harder and you can win chases.
I wont dismiss counterplay if you show me. Would you like to play a custom and provrnyour claim or keep saying things you cant back up?

Its because Deathslinger has possible outplay potential at loops and during transition of tilesets. If you give ussylis a classic map such as Bloodlodge and you pick a ordinary M1 killer such as Myers and you ask him to loop Myers for as long as possible with the rule that if Myers gets bloodlust 1, he has to break the pallet, He can probably loop Myers for 3-5 minutes, In fact every good survivor can. Myers and every M1 killer can be beaten in a single chase. The only reason it does not happen is human error and that is ok because the game does not require survivor to win in a single chase.
The idea that survivors have the capacity to 1vs1 the killer and the expectancy to do so is already an extreme entitlement in itself. Its because survivors are conditioned to face weak killers in a chase so when a killer has strong/decent chase capacity, its like a shock. The reason why nobody offers to go in custom game to "show deathslinger counter-play" is because its stupid. Suppose someone does accept and they loop you for 60 seconds, that in itself is counter-play. If you include fact that the killer needs to search for the survivor to enter a chase and extra require to put a survivor on a hook, that is like 3 gens right there. Survivors are not meant to go from 0 to 5 gens instantly, Killers don't go from 0 to 12 hooks instantly either. they have to work for it. small chase after small chase, little by little, gens gets done. same thing for hooks, little by little, survivors die.
The clip itself shows counter-play. Deathslinger weapon isn't hitscan, past 10-18 meters, you to have lead your shots and predict survivors movement to slide into them. The counter-play is hard but its definitely there. There's also this idea that killers that have strong 1vs1 are "Unhealthy". Arguably speaking the only tool that a killer really needs to win is strong 1vs1 and a tool to contest loops. Map mobility, Stealth, Aura-reading, Instant down are very indirect forms to power up the killer and frankly speaking they aren't very useful by themselves. I am not saying that its impossible win with these tools but they certainly aren't very direct or obvious to win with and they often have large exploitable pitfalls and shortcomings which is why they're often very low on killer tier-lists.
The clip itself just showed him missing as slinger. I'm gonna address a few things like how we are "entitled" and why slinger is unhealthy.
For starters it's not being entitled when you play a game that is pvp and expect to have a fair chance at outplaying your opponent. I also want to comment on how you think looping for a long time equal counterplay. I looped a stridor spirit but that's because I was just guessing correctly. I made multiple good guesses i never really outplayed anything.
If survivors also are conditioned to weak chase killers (huntress, billy, oni, nurse) those are very strong killers why arent they complained about?
One more thing if a killer doesnt give survivors an equal opportunity for survivors to counterplay them it's not healthy you clearly dont look at things objectively or at least on the survivors end.

The point is on the 2 minutes it takes to place one trap down and find your first survivor 2 gens pop (it's way too fast). You must be a survivor main for this comment
I am but yes 2 minute is enough to pop 2 gens it is 80 seconds solo. I also dont understand how me being a survivor main is relevant. Why do you think the survivors shouldn't do gens while you are doing something other than pressuring them.
If gens are made longer which you are implying the game will become even more boring for the survivor side which some fo you killers are ok with despite needing 4 times survivors per killer.

Really. I had a match earlier as trapper I placed one trap and found my first survivor and 2 gens popped.
So what else were they supposed to do while you placed your trap? Let you place more? Go find you?

If you change his 1v1 he is nerfed. That's just fact. He is probably the only killer that if you change one thing about him he is now clown tier.
You're also changing an entire killer not because they're too weak, but that you don't like them. With no consideration of the fact that people play and main slinger like me.
Also slinger is actually quite good, id put him just above billy.
So I did guess correctly slinger main witn an obvious bias even though he has no way to counterplay.

please only talk about yourself. For me, running round in circles is not "the only fun part" of the game. I prefer the hide-and-seek part. There is more than one way to play the game, even if you dont like the other ways.
Yeah but not everyone likes sitting in a Bush that's boring and the majority of the community likes the chase. And like I said I dont want to sit and be stealthy I want to play.

Well you said be able to...of course people should have even the slightest chance of outskilling their opponent, otherwise what's the point of trying and what's the fun of a chase? Survivor is boring enough as it is with having to sit on gens and hooks, you really think they deserve to have every chase be "oh the killer found me, based on the tiles around me, I can live exactly 41 seconds before the killer catches me." Think about the experience of both sides.
I've noticed that this guy has a somewhat killer bias doesnt think survivors matter and only killers need buffs and tweaks.

Yes because clown and legion are the best killers around. That's exactly why they are considered the most boring. Get over the victim mentality and your claim of one "side" being holier than thou. If survivors want easy games we're all supposed to assume that the poor helpless killers are just trying to have fun? Not needlessly divisive and stereotyping at all...
I like you, I can tell you understand my and my fellow survivors frustrations with this killer. People forget that a lot of survivors are needed to play this game an holding m1nis boring af.

Yeah ngl not a huge fan of scott jund
You arent a huge fan of scott because he like one of my friends is one of the only killer main who takes survivors fun into consideration its downright disgusting that people are ok with this killer.

People who say he hasn't got counterplay tend to want easier counterplay that any mediocre rank 10 can pull off. I've had matches where I faced really good loopers that managed to read my shots and prolong the chase for a while, just because Deathslinger requires different mindset when outplaying him in chase doesn't mean he's got no counterplay.
If claiming that good deathslinger will never miss his shots no matter what survivors do then killers like nurse, spirit or even doctor are far superior in chase then deathslinger is. Adapting to deathslinger's chase mechanics is hard, that's why people want him nerfed to make it easier for them.
Alright so let's play a custom and show me that counterplay. All the "reads" they did was you missing. The survivors have no input when it comes to slinger it's all on the killer.
