what learn ? be unpredictable? LoS arguments? base kit fine? get good? run meta perks and a SOLID SWF to win?.
my man this killer needs a rework for healthy reasons same as Maps on the survivor side.
note: they changed some Macmillan tiles , hopefully for balance on the killer side. (is dumb getting 5 connected safe loops currently)
Using that logic over half the killers on the roster need a rework take hag 1 item from survivors and you can take away her power fully and lets not forget about maps the game has way to many pallets.
But we don't hear about any changes coming to these problems and others where a item can take away a killers power, maps are busted with to many pallets, where m1 killers can't keep up with the speed that gens are getting done because that killer has no map pressure survivors just say get good and learn to apply pressure but if anything comes out or is strong since the game came out survivors cry until its fixed.
Take undying survivors cried that is was to strong and not fair they might of had to cleanse 5 totems so it got nerfed but take boon totems and its fine that they can be relit over and over again but thats fine cause it helps survivors.

Her power is not fine. Nurse is not a DBD character, has never been. If they want to keep her that way then fine (in fact, I'm totally okay with it, it makes her very unique) but she needs some actual drawbacks to keep her in check. She's been trivializing the entire rest of the killer cast for almost six years now, it's time for an actual revision.
You do know killers are meant to be the power roles in these types of games your not playing a 1v1 your playing a 1v4 survival game, so the killer needs to at least be able to handle a 1v1 with easy and if its a 1-4 try and control it.
It's really starting to look like survivors won't be happy till they get bot killers .

The last changes to perks showed a new trend of giving downsides to perks to balance them. Trend which I'm personally not a fan of, for a couple reasons...
There are (luckily) few older perks which have a downside/debuff, but how many use them? The answer is very few, and the reason is that no one wants to have downsides. Perks in this game have always being designed as power-ups for your character. They might have conditions to activate, but that's it.
The main problem though it's not in the downside per se, but it's the fact that the vast majority of perks don't have downsides. When it's time to choose between two perks we're naturally inclined to pick the one which has only positive aspects, and that leads to those perks to rarely be seen in matches.
If perks need some balancing imo that should be done with numeric changes or by adding conditions, not by giving downsides, because that's the best way to never see that perk in a match again.
i think they should have a downside as then it would make picking perks more interesting as you no longer just pick the best one if the downside to it is ok, Take F13th they had it set up that each perk had a positive and a negative so when it came t o pick your perks you had to work out which one was the best for what you needed i.e do you take the perk to give you 2 first aid sprays when you picked one up but the down side is you run out of stamina quicker.

Just git gud lmao
But seriously, lets imagine situation where i am literally god dbd player, and as soon as nurse will realize it, she will leave me
So there s the question, what should i do about my temmates?
Simple you can't always expect to save every teammate and get a 4 man escape every match, if that is the case and everyone was getting a 4 man escape then the stats would show that the killer is to weak and needs a buff.
if your a god dbd player and the killer drops you to chase someone else that's the right call for the killer, why spend i.e 4 min trying to down you when they can down another survivor in 30 sec
So to answer your question sometimes you need to leave a teammate behind it might suck but its the right call to make.

I know if you don't take the game too seriously it can be quite fun but as killer it's not fun rn. I'm new compared to alot of people my age and am facing people that have thousands more hours than me. I'm not really having fun (for me personally) mostly because I don't know who I'm going against, which map, or how the gens will be spread out . Mix that with the "aim assist", rubber banding, sometimes ridiculously close pallets next to god windows really annoys me . If bots actually are implemented soon I'll buy killers, skins, etc . But until things change this is how I feel , and yes I suppose I could just leave and find another game that suits me better but I really enjoy the idea of this game .
if your looking for fun in DBD like someone said get your bbq stacks then just have fun after i do it all the time, i'll play the pig and my build is done to sneak up on people and to try and get as many boop on the snoot in that match, ghost face find a window and see if you can get a survivor to go up and down with you, there is a lot of ways to have fun in this game it just comes down to if you just want to try and get the 4k or your happy to hook them at least once then have fun and not care if they get out.

All she needs are her addons looked at. I was once a Nerf Nurse person until I.....learned how to play her....by doing that I learned how to loop her....how to escape her....how to deal with her.
The skill level to learn how to play her is equal to the skill level how to escape her.
That's pretty much goes for all killers if you play them and get a understanding on how they work its a lot easier to counter them, I had a friend that only played survivor and hated the DR but she played some matches as the DR and got a understanding how to handle him.

@Anniehere said:
She doesn't need a nerf, they need to rework her.
Eliminate her ability to ignore the chase.
So because you don't want to learn how to counter a nurse she needs a rework.

You don't need to wait for the killer buffs to go live to understand that nurse is in dire need of a balance change. People have been saying that she needs one for years.
Now by people do you mean everyone both killer and survivor mains or just survivor mains, Nurse isn't the problem survivors need to learn how to counter her and the maps is the biggest problem as a lot of them rule out a lot of killers being viable so killer mains have to go to the only couple killers that can handle the problem of maps.

This is just a generic rant.
lets see you come up with something better then, people have the right to say what they feel about the game and as simple as the post is it also covers a very basic problem, playing killer is not a lot of fun at times i would love DBD to set up what Friday the 13th had for a month, that at some point after so many matches as a survivor you have to play as Jason for a match, if DBD did something like that then maybe everyone that plays only survivor might see how bad playing killer can be at times.

if you couldn't get a single kill before 5 gen you deserve to lose period
Like i said the games not over till survivors leave get kill, survivors need to stop being entitled by thinking 5 gens are done we have won, sorry your still playing the match and if killer NOED and blood warden makes in harder to escape when blood warden is up and using your theory if blood warden is up survivors deserve to die because they didn't because the were rushing to much.
-
The pallet you throw down early could be the one that pallet stuns the killer as they pick you up or when carrying you to the hook, also another survivor might drop it giving them the time to pick you up from dying state and take a hit for you while you get somewhere to be able to heal. The worst cast is if you thrown them early and the killer breaks them come towards the end off the match there is no pallets left for survivors to use leaving them in a dead zone.
I prob play 90% killer and the things i just listed is from what i have seen and has cost them the match or allowed me to hit someone because there was no pallets around to use.

I don't think anybody is asking killers to farm, but to play in a way that is fair. Playing fair makes a much more fun match, gives survivors at least a slight chance of escaping.
Survivors can't make any points unless the killer cooperates.
And how many times do survivors play fair dependent on the killer the

So because it can't pick up stealth killers it's it's now a useless perks now, Even tough there is only a few killers that are stealth killer and there is a reason they are called stealth killers.

@WaveyTrey said:
I posted this idea in another discussion, but I want to make a separate one here.
NOED: Whenever the first exit gate is opened and a dull totem remains on the trial the dull totem becomes a hex totem. Upon activation The Entity will block the first exit gate opened until that Hex totem is cleansed.
What this means is that survivors that purposely body block their way across the whole map to a single door they 99% will be surprised to see that this exit becomes blocked entirely. This will only happen due to the cockiness, and abuse of second chance perks at EGC. All of this becomes their literal doom. They cannot crawl out of that gate, nor abuse DS to get through that gate as planned. When the hex activates they have to use the other gate. As most times survivors never take the time to open, or use both gates. They almost always abuse their way to a single gate they have at 99% already.
Survivors now have to take the precaution of opening BOTH exit gates to be safe from this scenario, or break the hex that could block the 99% gate they all want to run through. Giving the killers the potential to catch more players at EGC.
NOED is fine it has a easy counter (do bones) so come when the 5 gen pops the killer won't get it and apart from the fact the killer is only using 3 perks the whole trail in hopes the 4th one will come into play at the end of the trail is a big risk, if a team decides they want to rush gens and get out asap then get hit by NOED thats on the survivors they ignored any 2nd objective they might have to do just to get out as quick as they can. But take 30 sec- 1min and you could find NOED before the killer has a chance to use it.

How gate regression would help you survive in any way? Your are not the first one posting the exact same idea pretending to be a surv main. EGC was introduced to force survivors out, to prevent holding killers hostage, not to give killers free pressure. 99% gates is a valid strat just like camping and tunneling. Deal with it
The EGC starts when you open the gates, until you open the gates your are still doing your objective even then your still doing your objective as your objective is to escape, not finish 5 gens, not to open the gates and not die when the timer runs out so why is there so little changes (perks) for killers to counter end game mechanics like the switch.
Just because you got all 5 gens done does not mean it's game over and you have won there is still things to do hence why there are end game builds like NOED+blood warden but there is pretty much nothing that affects the switch in a big way and to me they should regress, by doing that you/the game is putting more pressure on survivors and what they should do, rescue that last teammate on hook or leave.

It would make the game far more enjoyable if the meta got completely shaken, not just perks but most of the entire game itself.
One problem that the devs are always facing is when they release a new killer if it seems just a bit OP the complaints come flooding in for it to be nerfed/changed, instead of leaving the killer for 3-6 months then looking at it from stats, complaints and any other feedback, instead they adjust it before they release it sometimes making it a lot worse for no reason.
Then you look at survivor perks like boons everyone knew they we a problem before they got released and it took them months to come up with a band aid fix by making a perk killers can use to snuff them out and break the totems, something like that should of been made base kit for killers not made into a perk.
if they are going to shake up the meta it needs to be done on both sides and stand by the changes they made for at least 3 months while they collect data to see if anything needs to be changed a bit.

First of all, there was a major nerf to toolboxes, so don't forget that.
I've only recently started using Prove Thyself and specifically trying to get BNPs from the web. There are more and more slow down perks (The Artist literally ONLY HAS SLOW DOWNS, for example), with more and more killers running 3-4 a game, with killers who passively stop you from playing the game like Pinhead or Nemesis or the Artist with her birds or Sadako with her tapes, that survivors can't really play the game.
Lots of times, Prove Thyself is pointless if you're a solo player because lots of survivors are TERRIFIED of playing the game and will not do gens. I cannot tell you how many times I lose with one gen to go, with all four survivors alive and fully healed, because I am the only person trying to do the last gen.
The nerf to toolboxes came after the nerf to ruin so lets not forget that. killers mori were done all of a sudden while survivors had plenty of time

Doing gens is how survivors win. Do you really expect your opponents to help you win the game? I guess you should purposely slow down your hooks, huh?
But they do have a point all of the killer perks that take 25% of like pop to other ones like ruin are all getting nerfed or changed, but yet there not touching any survivor perks that speed up getting gens done its kinda saying a lot right there.

The mentality. Op complaints about killer not taking the 5 BP offerings into consideration and I just showed an example of survivor being sometimes not any better.
I was plague iirc and not very good with her and despite not getting more than one or two hooks they didn't slow down or seek more interaction but left as fast as possible not taking my fun into any consideration.
And I just see it as double standards when people like op ask for killer to keep survivor fun in mind and many survivor don't as soon as they outskilled/outmatch the killer.
If they are so much better than the other side and have seen that the killer isn't camping, tunneling and slugging, which i obviously and intentionally avoid, then they could take it a little more slow if they wanted and still get out easily but they don't have any obligation to keep my fun in mind. And since that's the case i don't see that obligation for killer even when i myself play intentionally friendly.
i agree with you 100% survivors are complaining or telling killers to take it easy, farm and let everyone get max BP while the event is on, but come when the event ends if killers did do this during the event i can 100% guarantee survivors won't payback the kindness that killers showed.
They will go back to getting gens done asap, follow you around clicking the flashlight, run all the best meta perks and not care if the killer is new or has only got a few hooks.
so i would love to know if killers did this playing nice and relax why people (not you Burt0r) that play survivor won't payback the kindness shown by the killers after the event?

Yes i can, because a game is supposed to be fun and not a chore, no matter how many bp you get.
And yet playing killer outside of events can feel like a chore at times compared to playing survivor, events might be the only time killers might take it easy, farm and have some fun and yes there will always be killers that will try and hook you as fast as they can.

No, I dont expect free kills and no one should, I meant I have never had a survivor even show respect a single time in my whole playtime.
If I win I will get insulted because im a sweat, and each time I lose I have never seen a gg or a "hey cool trick with [inset power]", on the contrary I have seen infinity of #########, you suck lmao, go play something else etc... Why should I show any empathy towards survivors when they have made clear they dont have any towards me?
As someone that memes around a lot when i play killer i.e pig ill try to get everyone to boop the snoot, ghostface find a window and go up and down with survivors it's not very often i get matches with survivors that know what i'm trying to do and will take part in it just for the fun of it.
But you are right if you let someone get the unhook saving the teammate from dying just to be nice they all body block and teabag at the exit like they just pulled of some great play where in actual fact you let them save that person but survivors never see things that way some do but most don't. Then when your having a rough match you pretty much never see survivors ease on gens or let you get a few hooks, killers are willing to give survivors a chance to enjoy the match but survivors pretty much don't care about the killers fun.

@Audiophile said:
Look, I appreciate the few, more level headed comments here. But being toxic is being a jerk unnecessarily by definition. There is no NEED to play toxic. And lets clarify something here… I’m talking about high level play… former ‘red ranks’. By the quality of some of the replies I’d say that eliminates about 3/4 of you. If you are a good / red rank / high mmr killer, the only time you get ‘bullied’ is by a good / red rank / high mmr 4 man swf. The rest of the time you’re facing solos with quits / dcs / bad matchmaking / no comms etc. You can NOT tell me that the majority of killer matches are against 4 man red rank swfs. If you play toxic it’s because you want to be a jerk and that comes through loud and clear in your game play, your post game chat, these posts…everywhere. Lots of killers just like to play like jerks.
A survivor doesn’t have that luxury unless they manage to get lucky with a strong team and a weak killer. Flashlight saves are hard and require skill. Sabotage is risky. And both are mostly utilized for a legitimate reason - burn up killer time to get gens done so we can escape. Which comes back to my earlier point. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had a killer play toxically and then complain about genrushing post game… yet… no fancy toolboxes or PT was run… no swf even. They just got beat by normal gameplay and call it genrushing and turn toxic.
And come on… face camping bubba is so common it’s been around for years and I still face them in about 5 - 10% of my games. Start game, catch someone, camp. There’s no justification other than a desire to be toxic.
So yeah before you say toxicity exists on both sides… think about how skill enters into the picture and what is legitimate gameplay vs nonsensical toxicity. Killers have the market cornered on that.
Getting bullied has nothing to do with ranks, being in a 4 man swf or matching making it just comes down to the person playing, a survivor can follow you around most of the match clicking there flashlight at you to try and annoy you or to focus on them, dropping a pallet without stunning you and then tea bagging like they did something good and if you are playing in the high level of play like you claim then you should know all of this.
Whats even more sad is after 10k+ hours in this game you talk like survivors don't play TOXIC at all, you complain that about killers camping because survivors are gen rushing but yet don't have tools/items to really do that but a killer that camps someone in the middle of a 3 gen is toxic or one EGC starts camping the person on the hook and lets not leave out good old NOED bring that and your toxic even though you might get all 4 kills before gens are done.;
Camping is legitimate gameplay the devs have said it is and the player is not breaking any rules is it ######### for the person on hook yes but the killer is doing nothing wrong as sometimes the best choice and really the only on is to camp, survivors can bully/be toxic to killers more then killers can to survivors no matter what spot you are in with the MMR.
-
@Audiophile said:
No. You don’t get to equate an anecdotal bad game to the avalanche of toxic killer games. 90% of the toxicity in this game is camping/tunnelling killers. Killers act like every game is a SWF gen rush with flashlights. No. I have 10k+ hours in this game, most as a solo. They’re almost all 3k and 4ks because matchmaking is terrible. Killers get huge amounts of easy games from bad matchmaking, afks, dcs, etc, and then toss in the incredible amount of camping and tunnelling and then toss in the number of games where they run their S and A tier killers with (or even without) their top addons… please lets not perpetuate this myth of the poor beat up killer.
There’s simply no need to face camp, camp, tunnel… ESPECIALLY during an event where everyone earns tons more if you just knock off the toxicity.
I'm going to call complete BULL ######### on what you just said if you claim to have 10k+ hours in this game then you SHOULD know both sides can be toxic with or with out a event, but when there is a event survivors will come play killer as it is more easy to get the invite all you have to do is play the match unlike survivors that have to escape. you prob didn't factor that in when you want on your rant about toxic killers someone even made a post saying that people they know that are survivor mains are playing because it's more easy to get invites.
This one part here annoys the ######### out off me "Killers get huge amounts of easy games from bad matchmaking, afks, dcs, etc," if you have afks or people that DC why are you taking it out on the killer they have NO responsibility to play more fair, farm etc. Take it out on the person that DC that screwed your team over. You pretty much never see survivors let people that are new/learning a killer take it easy slow down the gens, let them get some hooks etc no you see them teabag, flashlight clicking etc.
So don't ask for killers to be nice during a event so survivors can get more BP that is the biggest double standards as once the event is over will survivors play nice to the killer?

The dbd community is just awful. I come from games like Overwatch and Rainbow Six and MK, and I thought those communities were toxic. None of those compare to the toxic cesspool that is the dbd community. You can't have fun at all without people sending all kinds of hate your way. Want to play Legion or a killer someone hates in particular? You are the worst human alive. Want to blind a killer? ######### yourself. Run NOED? Scum of the earth. This community really needs to grow the ######### up. Also, everyone likes to talk about face camping and tunneling and whatever, but thats not toxic. That is ######### in the game. What is toxic is how you as a person behave and what you say to others. Tunneling and NOED is not toxic, but calling someone a slur over it is toxic. Most of my experiences come from toxic survivors. I get maybe one toxic killer every other week. I mean actual toxicity, playing like an ######### to just be an #########. I don't mean camping or tunneling because they have to catch up and want to win as well. It is so rare I actually run in to killers just simply wanting to be an #########. But for survivors? It is every game almost. So much hate gets sent my way just because I had the balls to load in as a killer. And even when I paly survivor, I still mostly put up with toxicity from the other survivors! This community needs to grow the ######### up and quit encouraging it. And the double standard is atrocious. It is funny and cute when survivors act toxic, but it is awful when it comes from the killer. And the devs need to quit promoting toxic behavior in the community, as well. They could easily fix the things people abuse for the sake and purpose of being an #########, and also make camping and tunneling unnecesssary, but I still don't see what is being done about it. They can also make flashlights only click so fast. I get so many people macro clicking in my face, and it is so disorienting. This community needs to grow the ######### up and start acting like decent people.
This is something i put in another topic, A saying i know "The fun you have will come at the expense of another person unless your willing to make a sacrifice for them to also have fun" in games like this and any pvp games it's very true while one player is having fun the other side will not be, if the killer is having fun chances are survivors are not and if survivors are having fun chances are the killers not.
This game has a major problem of people not thinking about the other player and this goes from the players all the way up to the devs, the surveys we get are pretty much a waste they need to work out what is fun for both sides and then try to balance it around that. If 90% love being chased and thinks its funnest part of the match then look at ways how they could do that in the game, the result could be changes killers need 2 hooks to kill a survivor but they have made being more fun by adding in stuff so chases go longer.
But you do meet some really nice people on this game some that will meme around with you when your the killer and say your playing the pig people will boop the snoot soon as they see you and if they die there just happy they got to boop the snoot.

it seems people didnt read my replies XD, i have never said it was toxic or that franklins was bad, it was the build of taking items, why did everyone bring flashlights up? simple they didnt read what i said, i literally said i understand and that her power shouldnt be countered. i also stated that the annoying part is the silent traps on top of it so she can trap the items. it is just annoying to be robbed of my item, i dont run any sweat perks and i rarely run items and only do it when i have a goal in mind, and then the people that cant handle items or flashlights ruin that. like really? lets be real if i can win against 4 toolboxes or 4 medkits im sure everyone else can, if i can never get blinded during save by a clicky squad im pretty sure everyone else can.
franklins to go against items is a baby thing, its for people who arent confident or just dont want to try as hard to win. knowing how survivors are and how i used to be when i started, i understand and sympathize. i really do. i never knew about flashlight saves and didnt understand why i kept dropping someone when i started, but everyone knows how to avoid it and play the game at a higher mmr, so why be lazy and just avoid it? QoL? well i mean understandable but your quality of life will surely go down when you lose out on good perks just because you A. dont wanna handle items or blinds or B you genuinely worry about those game. i am ok with it being a crutch and im ok with people running those perks, doesnt mean i cant be annoyed, me calling them babies isnt to say it as an insult but mainly to point out a lot of the killers who run it are ones who struggle. also i had a medkit i was going for my adept which sadly ive not had luck, because A. camping killers B. hook glitch that killed me in 2 hooks and C. i didnt wanna deal with an annoying hag that ive already experienced before.
so this comes back to my first point... NONE OF YOU READ ANYTHING! i go through all the insulting comments, read all of them and listen to what people say, but yet you guys make assumptions about me based off my post and OTHERS comments. My comments are there too, so why not read those and see the misunderstanding? hell yeah im being immature in game, i can be as much as it sucks for my teammates, who also wont enjoy the game, but when i want to have fun and achieve a goal ill do that, if my teammate does it id be upset but id understand because i cant insult someone for caring about their own fun, when thats what i care about. And before anyone gets upset at me more let me say this... i actually apologize to killers and survivors if they dont have fun or they feel like stuff wasnt fair, even if it was a hard match. if a killer chases me too long and they feel gens are too fast i correct them and even give them tips. im not a total immature jerk, but the fact that people instead insult me and others for our thoughts automatically instead of correcting us or discussing goes to show how people like you are actually the most immature.
so if you wanna say im in the wrong go ahead, but at least read my comments and talk to me like an adult and not a kid please, i dont want a bad time on the forums and to give people the wrong impression about me.
Like i pointed out before and also other's have flashlights hard counter her traps taking away her power turning her into a M1 killer with very poor chase capabilities, if killers queue up as hag and gets a group of survivors with say 2 flashlights your going to want to bring franklins to try and get rid of the flashlights so they can't burn your traps.
Hag is all about setting up a web of traps most around 3 gens and getting survivors to run into your web and come towards the end of the match you have a web or traps set up around a 3 gen flashlights will just burn all those traps taking away Hag's power which is why so many Hag's run franklins.

Well if you're looking to make the game 'healthy' encouraging toxic play from killers doesn't justify having a nerfed hatch. I don't feel bad if you don't know how to enjoy the game with how the hatch was, but it was such a blast playing with friends. We would be cackling with laughter.
And now, it's just OK.
The same could be said for a mori before they got nerfed i'm pretty sure a lot of killer players were cackling with laughter after using the mori on all 4 survivors before the gens were done, That's pretty much how old hatch and mori were they allowed the game to finish sooner i.e the killer managed to set up a good 3 gen for survivors just for them to come along and say screw you we are getting out using the hatch with this key bypassing having to finish all the gens plus opening the exit.
For mori hook someone once and you could mori them bypassing a hook stage both needed changing to try and stop both sides from being able to finish the match early.

I think what the poster is saying is that in this specific game there was no reason to not start hooking the slugged people after looking for the last hiding survivor for a bit to speed the game up. If the hiding survivor is clearly not trying to revive anybody but is just off somewhere waiting for hatch then there’s no strategic reason to wait four minute for everybody to die versus hooking them so they can die in two minutes.
Overall general there’s absolutely nothing wrong with slugging, either for pressure or to get a win with four slugged survivors. But slugging for four minutes when you can obviously hook everybody and win in one to two minutes is kind of petty.
The same thing could be said about survivors and the EGC instead of leaving and getting the match over with they have to stand there waiting for 2 min just to tbag the killer before they run out, but because it's survivors people say it's fine and the EGC will end in 2 min if the killers are petty for letting someone bleed out to death then survivors are petty for waiting at the exit gates when they know they can leave and finish the match, both sides are guilty of doing it the only real big difference is the time one is 4 min the other is 2 min.

Let's be honest with one another, Killers will defend other Killers on this forum, no matter what. It's like talking to a wall sometimes. And of course, some survivors are the same. BM'ing should not be defended.
Yes, slugging is a valid strategy. But when all 4 survivors are down I don't see any reason not to try to end the game. The "no hook in the area" is the only valid reason imo.
I've been slugged to death even though i letterally crawled to a hook and laying right next to it, with the Nurse standing over me and nodding her head. Do you defend that?

This is not the first post where a Killer slugged Survivors to death for no reason. But all the time people are making up reasons.
No Hooks? Might be possible, but for 3 Survivors? Eh, doubt it.
Unhooks/Deliverance? Wait in front of the Hook and slug them (and nobody can tell me that this would be a problem).
And I am surprised that it did not come up yet: "You dont know what the Survivors were doing, maybe they were toxic!!111"....
Sometimes players just do it to be annoying. No other reason.
Both sides will always defend each role even though the topic at hand you can see that side was just bm'ing/ being toxic to the other or some people will back up the other side and say i.e no that killer was just being toxic and BM'ing the group, you will get killers that will slug at 5 gens and let everyone bleed out just because they want to i'm not going to disagree with that at all. But there is no need to go down the path and saying they are defending what ever role the topic is about being dicks when someone gives a simple reason why they might of did what they did without having a go at anyone or anything.

Once you have all Survivors slugged, there is 0 reason to not hook them. Except if you want to be annoying.

- Deliverance or random self unhook
- Not enough hooks in that area so survivor could wiggle off

I give you the "no hooks". But Deliverance or random self Unhooks are poor reasons. Because you can just wait on the Hook and slug them again.
But it does not surprise me that this Forum defends Killers being dicks. Classic here.
All that person did was give 2 reasons why a killer might not hook survivors in response to your message nothing more and nothing less so there was no need for you to respond the way you did and saying "But it does not surprise me that this Forum defends Killers being dicks. Classic here."
Should we start listing how many times survivors have defended survivors being dicks, if you don't want people to respond to your comment with simple and nice answers just for you to turn around and say they are defending killers being dicks then don't comment on a topic which is going to leave you open for people to answer back on why survivors/killers might do it with out going after you or the role involved.
At nearly 12k post on this forum you should be leading by example on how to respond to comments with out turning back to they gave a good answer while being polite so i'm just going to sink to calling them defending the role in topic dicks.

you cant read? i say that you SHOULDN'T WIN in the last minute of the game only.. if survivors reached the endgame you fcked up early and mid game.. you still have endgame perks but if 4 survivor is still alive when gates are opening then you lost the game simple as that
The match is not over till all survivors are killed or have escaped not when 5 gens are done, not when you start to open the gates and not when the EGC has started. There are perks like no way out which needs the gates to be open to use but by what your saying is that at that point the killer has lost the game and should let the survivors get the unhook and wait out the time and then hold the survivors hands while they escape.
No way out alone can get you kills if people are on death hook put in NOED and there is even better chance of getting kills because the match is not over yet, as for the topic yes DS should deactivate if a survivor starts to open the gates as they are still progressing the game for it to come to a end, if you want to keep your DS don't open the gate and let someone else do it.

i mean im entitled to have a fun game and everyone else is, we pay money so its only fair, i dont think its toxivc its just a jerk thing to do for the reason people do it. its like going into a match to camp or tunnel because it will help you win, or going into a match with nurses best add ons or like going into a match with old iri head. most of the time it wasnt an innocent thing you know?
A saying i know "The fun you have will come at the expense of another person unless your willing to make a sacrifice for them to also have fun" in games like this and any pvp games it's very true while one player is having fun the other side will not be, if the killer is having fun chances are survivors are not and if survivors are having fun chances are the killers not.
Yes most of us paid for the game and want to have fun but that is where it ends for a lot of people as it turns to i want to have fun even at the expense of someone else and both sides are guilty of it.

well i play games for fun not suffering and annoyance :)
Try giving killer a try and going up against some matches with out lightborn or franklins then come back and let us know if your still having fun, like someone said lightborn is incredible against 3 flashlights the amount of downs or hits you get because they still try to blind you is funny, if your playing hag and there is more then one flashlight then yer you kinda need franklins.
So do you think its fine that survivors can remove hags traps with a flashlight pretty much removing her of her power in the game ruining the fun for the killer trying to play her, but if they trap your flashlight or item it's wrong because it's taking a small bit of fun away from you even though you can still do gens, loop the killer etc still having some fun compared to a killer that is now forced to walk (has very weak chase) around the map because a item can remove there power.

I developed some simple rules for myself:
1) You use Dead Hard? Don't expect me to be nice in any way towards you. If I see my chance to slug, camp or tunnel you out to get the upper hand I will absolutely do that.
2) You go all clicky clicky or teabag me? Have fun watching the rest of your team slowly get dissolved until you go down and get BMed yourself.
3) You try to force your DS on me? Buddy, that little thing was your last line of defense. I will literally throw the game just to kill you now idc.
4) You are afk at the start of a match? I will give you a slap. If you don't get back until the birds are circling over you I'll down you.
5) You use your BT to bodyblock me and prevent me from going after the unhooker? Since you obviously don't wanna leave my side I'll grant you your wish, wait out BT and down you, maybe even eat your DS or straight up hook you again.
6) If you play good and fair all game, don't do anything of the above and didn't bring an insane item I might just give you the hatch or sometimes even reward you and your team with the gate.
You can also make up some fun rules for each killer i.e the pig if i get 1 boop on the snoot i let the time go if i don't get any then its fair game, same with ghostface if im at a window with the survivor on the other side ill crouch down then up to see if i can get them to do the same. The best one i have had was Myers on Gideon Meat Plant got my 4 stacks for bbq then went downstairs to the room with the TV in it then waited a couple min and when i looked all 4 survivors were next to me watching it also.
Sometimes you just need a meme game or some way to have a bit of fun and if survivors pick up on it then you all have a laugh at the end and sometimes they will leave there item behind for me.

look, im both a survivor main and killer main so this isnt quite onesided, i just feel like this would make it more fair.
at least change it to wear the timer is removed PLEASE! i know DS has a broken history, and i know its quite strong still, but whats the point of using an anti-tunnel perk if it has a whole timer AND it gets disabled by doing an action?
now i know one thing your thinking, "whats the point of leveling up its tier then if the timer is removed?" well thats something i thought of and found a solution;
Tier 1: 3.5 or 3.75 second stun
Tier 2: 4 second stun
Tier 3: 5 second stun
also i know it doesnt add up right, but i just thought that 3 seconds wouldve been too short. i honestly think that doing these changes would help balance out while also help fix the situations where your being tunneled, you manage to run the killer around for 60 or more seconds and DS deactivates but then the killer downs you and you dont have DS active.
DS is fine the way it is now if you get tunneled of the hook and killer picks you up then DS is doing what it needs to do, not sure how long you have been playing for but before they nerfed DS survivors had 1 min of you can't touch me because i have DS, so survivors would sit in front of a killer doing a gen knowing they are safe for that 1 min window.
If you really want the timer gone then the timer should be removed from at least the killer had to work for PGTW but DS has none apart from you being hooked.

The developers encourage it or else they would take steps to stop it.
They do take steps not everyone is able to record the match but they can take screen shots of the chat at the end or even have time to start to record stuff, If things get to bad people will send the info across and they will act based on what evidence you sent them.
instead of passing the blame on to someone else why not as a community step up and do whats right, i'm pretty sure most people can tell the difference between bullying and having a bit of a banter in matches between both sides.

in a lot of games, things will feel personal when they really aren't. That guy that headshot you in Halo three times in a row isn't trying to make you have a bad time, he's just playing the game.
I've been there for sure. The more you play, more you're like "oh, nice flashy save" instead of getting tilted
There is a major difference from someone that was able to get a great flashlight save to other people clicking non stop and following you everywhere you go just to keep clicking the flashlight as much as they can to try and annoy the hell out of you.
If someone gets a great flash light save on me ill let them know post game chat that they pulled that of well, if someone wants to follow me clicking there flashlight non stop i'll just hunt them down and kill them, if its really bad ill leave them and stand over them till they bleed out they wanted me to focus on them so i made there wish come true.

That’s a interesting idea even though I don’t really farm much as killer but I don’t know I may think about it. I usually just play regularly as killer like trying to get a good amount of hooks, chases that’s are not too long, and applying gen pressure. So I may again think about it but anyway thank you for the recommendation.
You don't have to farm to have some fun with killers i get my bbq stacks then just have fun after but i will still chase them and once i got them into dying state i'll leave them. there are a few killers you can have fun with and even make up some rules to follow like for me the pig if i get 1 boop on the snoot i let them escape. it sounds easy but a lot off people won't or don't know how to boop the snoot had a match a while back and it was the persons first time booping the snoot so they were excited that they got to do it at last.
Even ghost face stand at a window and go up and down and see if survivors will do the same back but my best one so far is myers on meat plant got my stacks then went downstairs to where the TV is and stood there watching it, not long after the survivors joined in just watching it. went to the streamers stream after the match and they were having a lough with what happened.

The way this game is objective wise its almost impossible to not make someone feel bullied, you're either winning or you're not I mean you wouldn't be saying all this if you were the one winning those games but for whoever lost it's rare to find players that just don't care either way and that's important to having fun with this game is remembering that you could lose to someone only to play them again in the next couple matches and demolish them, it all boils down to not taking the game too seriously just have fun and quit taking things personal.
The games objective be it killer or survivor has nothing to do with people being bullied, it's the person playing survivor or killer that is out to bully the other side, doing gens or hooking/killing survivors is part of the game objective but when that 1 player desired to start to bully the other side then that is on that person not the objective of the game.
Some matches you will win others you will lose but the choice to bully someone is the personal choice of that player, people might say its just a game don't let it get to you but no one knows whats going on in the players life that you thought it was a good idea to bully or even how they might feel or act after the match.
Bullying no mater which way you try to twist it is still bullying at the end of the day and more people need to think is it worth bullying the other person, could my bullying have a impact on them irl you will never know.

For real though, how many Hex builds do you see (or use, for that matter) these days? Hexes once were a fun mechanic, but now they are literally bottom of the barrel killer perks.
You have to commit your entire build to Hexes, if you want to make them work, and even then its like a coin toss if you get any use out of your Hexes beyond the first minute. The only one that comes to mind that still somewhat works are Hex: Plaything and Hex: Pentimento, both hexes that break from the normal hex formula and have their own rules. But bog standart hexes get blessed or cleansed so fast that its barely worth the disappointment.
So the nusiance that was old Hex: Undying (I wasnt around that time, so I never experienced it) basically killed off the entire Hex playstyle. I remember watching survivor guide videos were you got told to tap the first gen you see in order to check for Ruin. Jeez, I dont know when was the last time that I actually felt Ruins bite. And when I use it, it goes poof within a minute.
Old Hex: undying was if someone cleansed your say ruin it would just transfer it over to another dull totem and keep doing that till there are no more totems left, sometimes survivors got lucky and got rid of undying first so when you cleansed ruin it wouldn't transfer to another totem other times survivors got unlucky and had to cleanse all 5 totems. Which it turn allowed the killers to focus more on chases and hooking survivors and not have to worry to much about gens.
Due to it being no fun for survivors having to sometimes do all 5 totems and lose a lot on gen regression, they nerfed it so the first one is always undying the next is ruin, there was also the aura reading when someone near a dull totem. But now survivors get boon totems that killers can put it out i.e 10 times and they can still put it back up.
Hope that helps with the difference with old undying and the new undying.

Rewards the killer for not pressuring gens or hooking and killing survivors before gens are complete, yes
And the fact killers have to play the match with only 2-3 perks for the chance NOED to proc, so for the whole match depending on build a killer is using 2 perks vs 16 for the chance one will proc at the end, What if they changed DH to only work after last gen is done would survivors be happy to run 3 perks the whole match with the chance to use DH at the end.
A lot of times killers will kill everyone before the last gen popped so NOED didn't even come into play, some builds NOED helps a lot i.e endgame builds NOED + blood warden so the killer played the whole match with 2 if not less perks because the way they have there perks set up is for endgame not start or middle.

I dont think its wrong comparing these two particular games at all because both function similarly in alot of stuff. 1v4 multiplayer, set in a horror atmosphere, end goal is to either escape or kill all survivors, each killer has unique perks as well as survivors. Its just that I feel like the friday the 13th team bit of more then they can chew by implementing things like a clunky combat system for survivors, really terrible animations for both Jason and survivors, horrible driving mechanics, and without a doubt a very buggy and unpolished mess.
Not sure when you played it last but give it another look at it, it used to be a massive mess of things but got better over time. To me i treat each game as its own and try not to compare it with other games in the same area or you get caught in the same loop as x game is worse then x game when the only thing they have in common is the type of game it is.
people complain they are tired of DBD and the unbalance of things and how matches are the same but for some reason won't try something new for a bit to see if they like it or not, like predator hunting grounds to me the predator was to weak when starting out and took a while before you got some better stuff so a lot of games at the start you got punished bad because predator was to weak.

Lmao pallets are the free second chance? If pallets didn't exist not a single survivor would escape and why aren't survivors supposed to greed pallets, because you don't want them to? Lol.
When I equip dead hard it's to boost away from a killer that is using bloodlust and Is inherently faster than me therefore nothing to do with "failure" but me knowing that killers catch up with me, lol.
I'll use a simple example you vs a trapper and he has forced you into a spot were you can only go 1 way and there is a trap blocking the door, so not only did he out play you with mind games they also forced you to a spot were due to your failure to escape the killer will lend you in a bear trap but wait for it you just hit E to go over the bear trap making up for all the mistakes you made during that chase. Hence it rewarding failure you failed at every chance to get away from the killer so you had to use dead hard to make up for your failures to get across the bear trap.

For sure, I also think alot of these games tend to have a ton of bugs or even are just less polished cause they try to do more. Example being friday the 13th with its unpolished animations, terrible driving mechanics, horrible combat. Alot of devs do to much without polishing the game up.
Friday the 13th ended up getting a lot of the things you talked about fixed, they found a good balance between each side being the power role i.e before Jason got rage you could stun him after he got rage around 10min into a 20 match only a few things could stun him so you could no longer chain stun him. They changed the way he grabbed people so you had to line it up right were as before you could be off a bit but the swing of the grab you were still able to grab him, yes there was a lot of problems for a while but they ended up smoothing a lot of them out as time went on.
Last month 8 streamers got together to play it on a Friday the 13th and most of them found it a lot harder then DBD because there is no you need to hook them 3 times and some of them are full time DBD streamers, each counselor had there own strengths and weakness same with the perks each perk had a + and a - to it, pretty much if Jason grabs you then your dead unless you have a pocket knife or someone is with you to free you, the combat was fine once you got the hang of it.
To many people want any other asymmetrical horror games to be like DBD take hide or die the vision they had for it was great but to many people wanted it more like DBD so they added in sliding to run away from the killer and slide under stuff, you get killed you spawn in a coffin and someone has to set you free, were as the last man standing if you got killed that was it hence last man standing.
Any new game comes out and the first topic is always this is DBD 2.0, they are copying DBD, it's not fun getting killed so quick. I would love to see great DBD survivors vs great Jason players in Friday the 13th just to see how different and harder it is. But that's just my thought on it and people need to stop compering games to DBD the more they do the harder it can be for a new game to shine even if it is a lot better then DBD.

This. It’s called Shattered Hope. There’s also Thrill of the Hunt, Hex Retribution, Thanophobia, Nurse’s Calling, Sloppy Butcher, Coulrophobia, Undying, Pentimento, & Overwhelming Presence. These are counters to COH and some of these combo together really well. I truly believe SH will be the best counter, especially paired with Pentimento, Plaything, & Retribution.
COH is not as popular as it once was when first introduced, and it’s been nerfed twice already. One more nerf and it’ll be useless. We have too many useless perks for both killer & survivor as it is.
Just accept it and learn to adapt. I used to HATE Pain Resonance & Ruin, but I just learned to deal with both. To this day PR carries a lot of killers, but it is what it is. This is exactly why perks make DBD interesting & gives it replay ability. Some perk builds will counter other builds, have no effect, or even handicap you and put you at a disadvantage. Just try some of the combos next week & see what works best.
LMFAO "Just accept it and learn to adapt." shame that theory doesn't work when its its the other way around did survivors Just accept it and learn to adapt to undying even with items and perks to help find totems, nope they complained till it got nerfed because it was unfun for them but now killers have to Just accept it and learn to adapt to it.

Does it really reward failure?
People play more "greedy" because they have Dead Hard, you didn't outplay them and catch them, because they knew they had Dead Hard, killers are also faster than survivors and also have bloodlust (which actually rewards failure, for free, unlike Dead Hard, which is a perk slot), so it's almost inevitable you'll catch up to a survivor.
it does i had a survivor trapped in the corner on Gideon Meat packing Plant with no were to go as i hadn't broke the wall yet and all they had to do was press E to run past me without taking any dmg, in my eyes the survivor failed in that chase and got cornered what should of been a down lead to another chase by just pressing E.
