I see that happen sometimes but tunneling killers will often proxy camp pretty hard. So you are often forced to unhook while killer is near.
That's the thing with both sides some players will camp and tunnel from the start proxy camp is ok IF you know someone is there going for the save, same with survivors the perks and items they bring in can gen rush big time, keep saving someone you pick up etc but some survivors are not like that they would rather have fun then try and finish the match in 4 min.
Both go hand in hand how do you fix tunneling but also make it that the killers have a chance with out be gen rushed.
-
@HoodedWildKard said:
Perhaps giving survs guardian as basekit would help discourage tunneling. Gives the unhooked survivor much better chance to escape.
Maybe even make the haste effect linger a bit longer, or to really punish killers for tunneling have it persist until the surv leaves the killers TR. Ignoring killer's stealth effects obvs.
Here is a better idea survivors need to stop unhooking before the killer leaves , 90% of the time a killer tunnels is because a survivor unhooks right in front of them or before they take 10 steps.
So why wouldn't the killer go after the injured one and not the health one, a perfect example is Myers hooked someone popped tier 3 and 2 people went down trying to get rescue instead of waiting out the time like i did then go in for the saves,

Well I do this all the time. "Quentin, you were good." Then I leave. I'll single a person out and praise them when I know they carried the team. Still not going to say wp when they lost though. I don't say it just to say it. You might; I don't.
I'll say it if one person did something worth me saying it or even if it was the whole team, most times ill try to single out the person like you said sometimes ill just say ggwp because i might be busy and need to leave chat/game asap. Sometimes saying it even if its just to one person can turn the feeling of getting destroyed in the match to kinda a small win because you did something a fellow player thought was good.
-
@steezo_de said:
I don't say ggwp if I win unless I'm rubbing it in. Maybe gg if they say it first or if I need to bounce out quick. And even then, I reserve saying it for truly good games where everyone made good plays and it went the length-- which isn't nearly as often as a bad game, in DBD.
Besides, wp is for the loser to say. I can acknowledge a good game, but I'm not going to tell them they played well when they lost. This was something my coach taught me in junior high and it carried over to every game since.
Not really even if a team lost you can still say well played, take soccer the final score is 3-1 and you have won but those 3 goals was out of i.e 20 shoots which means the goal keeper stopped like 80% of your teams trys at a goal. So you can still say well played because the goal keeper did play well in that match even though his team lost.
The biggest difference between sports and DBD in sports you have time after to walk up to that one person and tell them well played but in DBD everyone is in a rush to leave and move on to the next match asap, you don't know if that person is still in chat or can even see what you say, so its more easy just to say ggwp and move on to next match and if that person responds you can tell them why.

If you got destroyed you often did not play well, nor did your team. It's like immediately getting knocked out in a boxing match. Does it feel sincere if your opponent says "well fought"?
Even if you or your team got destroyed you might of done something that match that the other person gave a WP for it could just be 1 chase you did well on and the killer lost you but wanted to say WP, well played does not always have to mean the match was close if a killer gets 0 kills but they played well in other parts or a survivor dies but did 1 great chase, saved there teammate at egc and died doing it when they could of got out why not give a WP.
Well played does not have to cover the whole match but could just be one thing you or your team did or tried to do or would you rather people say gg ez, trash killer/survivor etc just because they destroyed you.

Mori and slugging changes are big right? Could be extremely impactful to the game yes?
Ok, then notice how they're not just giving us the PTS to bugtest before these big changes move to live? Notice how they've said these changes may not make the cut? By giving players the chance to try these features and give feedback before they're even planned to make it to live, this is the most/earliest the community has been involved in big design decisions for the game.
This is a very good thing.
Keep in mind, they're working on at least 3 or so patches at any given time. Bare minimum. That means they have plans for these patches, things they're aiming to address in each one. They've identified slugging and moris as being problematic and they want to address them in some way.
Regardless of whether or not you agree with these changes, or even their rationale/conclusion that moris/slugging are problematic; recognize that by involving us and letting us test these potential solutions before they commit to them, that makes this a more meaningful PTS than those that have come before it.
What we definitely should NOT do is cry about the devs somehow hating one side or the other because you don't like the way things are being addressed, or because this PTS doesn't have any of the changes you feel the game needs.
Calm tf down.
They've been making tons of great changes recently. They are most likely already aware of all these other things that need to be changed. Time is limited, they can't fit everything into one patch. So just, calm down. Appreciate the good this PTS represents.
That's the thing the devs shouldn't have to test it internally then on a PTB to know that a major part of the player base does not want the moris changed to what they plan people have been vocal about it since they told us what they were planning to do with them and that was coming from both sides not just one, why spend hours on something the player base does not want in the game as what they are planning will take away a lot great, tense and major comeback moments.
Then thinking of making UB basekit and not limit it to 1 use per match there is a lot of better ways they could of done things to handle slugging then that i.e speed up the time you recover not sure the right time it takes but say 30 sec they could drop it to 20sec but you still need someone to pick you up.
So its hard to see the good of the PTB when 1 thing no one wanted the mori rework and the 2nd how broken UB as basekit could become affecting the game in a lot of major ways.

No always. There are plenty of killers that 4 man slug and wait for a 4 minute bleedout, which is way more toxic than someone pressing the crouch button. One is literally preventing 4 players from playing the game for 4 minutes while anyone complaining about teabagging is just immature and needs to toughen up a bit.
It's not just teabagging it's also spamming the flash light or having a survivor follow you around all match with one yer it's one less person on a gen but it can get very old and annoying quickly even more when your trying to be fair and not tunnel the same person. And there has been times in the game where killers had to slug and let survivors bleed out remb the breakdown bug.
What's funny is when i play ghost face and a survivor teabags and when i down them i do the same thing back to them they don't like it, if your slugged and bleeding out then suck it up and wait out the 4 min if your whole team was able to get slugged then your team messed up to allow the killer to do that. It's part of the game and slugging and a valid strategy so maybe it's time for survivors to toughen up a bit and not let valid strategy get to them.

If theyre legit strategies why are the devs implementing things to combat them?
Killers got basekit STBL and Brutal Strength.
Because survivors ######### when the game gets to hard for them and seeing as there is more survivors then killers of cause they are going to make survivors happy to keep the cash coming in.
lol those 2 are no where even close to what survivors are getting and killers only got part of those 2 not the full effect of the perk, but they are happy to give survivors UB basekit and you can use it as many times as you want how is that change close to basekit STBL and Brutal Strength.

Because teabagging doesn’t win you games and tunneling/slugging does.
Which both are legit strategies to use in the game to get a win, survivors have perks to counter camping and slugging they just don't want to use them and rather have BHVR make them basekit for survivors.
You don't see killers getting basekit perks like corrupt intervention to help out killers more so the slower ones or even BBQ, when someone responds to a post saying "It's just a mindgame, bro! Get thicker skin" then sorry that should apply to survivors also and not needing basekit perks.

dead hardmori anymore. You dont need to rely on that. It's not that simple with this change they are now forcing killers to play in a way which could be a lose/lose no matter what, some killers depend a fair bit on slugging.
One thing no one is really bringing up is with BT in basekit and now UB survivors are pretty much running 6 perks now, how is that meant to be fair when they won't put any killers perks in the basekit.

Being slugged is not the survivor failing. They fail when they die because their objective is to escape. Killers that tend to resort to slugging are failing because they are not getting rid of players, they are still keeping them in the game, at times, keeping them hostage.
slugging is a crutch for killers when they can’t keep up with the survivors, the same way that DH was, the same way that a 4-man hatch escape was.
the changes punish being too greedy as your main objective is hooks/kills.
The survivor failed in the chase causing them to be downed, survivors ready to try for the save and you down them failed at getting the save there is many ways a killer or survivor can fail in the match not just the basic kill or escape.
Killers slug for pressure and the fact that sometimes you can steamroll if the survivors are hanging around for the save and you can 1 shot them i.e Myers tier 3, why would a killer pick up the first one when they can down the survivors close by ready to try and get the save and ending up with 2-3 on the ground because of the choice the survivors made to hang around for the save.
Slugging is far from a crutch as there is times when you need to slug, forced to slug i.e survivor goes to a dead zone and with boil over they know you won't be able to hook them the counter to that is to slug them and let them bleed out.
The changes do nothing more then making it more easy for survivors and forcing killers into a lose/lose spot, how would survivors act if they made PGtW base kit to help putting pressure on gens and to stay away from the hook?

you see, as a killer main i'm not mad because they are essencially erasing slugging as a strategy (after all it's effectively boring as survivor being on the ground for 5 minutes without doing nothing, for that reason that mechanic could be deleted), i'm mad because they are punishing it, giving nothing in return to killers to compensate the loss of another tactic... what people fail to understand is that slugging most of the times is a necessary evil, required to get more time because normally YOU DON'T HAVE THE TIME for doing normal chases due to various factors (mainly the maps that now are actually awful to play as killer). i think that if this patch will be released, i'll probably took a loooong break from the game (or at least until the devs will gave to killers compensations for what they lost)
We know they won't give killers anything the way they are going they will make DS basekit for survivors, with the BT basekit and now UB each survivor is pretty much using 6 perks now not 4, i'm surprised with how many people can't see making UB base kit is a bad idea if there were more conditions to using it as basekit then that wouldn't be to bad but the way it is now is pretty ######### and to be honest the devs on one hand is holding survivors even more now and the other hand giving the finger to killers.

Not to be an #########, but slugging is a last-resort type of strategy - that most of the time, a player will resort to because every other thing that they were meant to do in trial, they failed.
Whether it be map pressure, gen pressure, or successful chases. In the same vein that Hatch was a 'last resort', that skipped out a portion of game-play for killers by prematurely finishing the game for the killer, slugging is the same. Killers don't need to be getting clean 4Ks, especially in a 2k, two more to go situation. If one person gets out, and it's via hatch, that doesn't affect you, as the killer negatively in anyway as it counts as a draw. The only loser in that situation is the survivor because they lost out on a win.
But it's not a last resort your pretty much saying if 3 survivors are in the same spot and you have Myers at tier 3 that slugging those 3 before you hook someone is a last resort and somehow the killer failed, not that the survivors made any mistakes that allowed the Myers to do that, why should a killer be punished for outplaying the survivors or them making a mistake and be forced now to hook someone and giving 2 people a free chance to get away.
There is a lot of ways that slugging can be used as a good strategy and yes some are bad slugging everyone with 5 gens left, slugging just to get the 4k. in your own words not to be a ######### but if a survivor is in the dying state then they failed at things they were meant to do in the trial , if a killer slugs 2 people within 10-20 sec then once again the survivors failed.
This change to add UB to basekit will punish killers when they slugged at the right time of the match, if they only made it that you can use it when down to 2 people that's fair and will help survivors when a killer is slugging to get the 4k. but it also now going to punish killers that slug at the right time or to make a great amount of pressure because the survivors made a big mistake.

This is literally only a problem if you actively choose to slug survivors.
in worst case scenario, you have 22 seconds to pick a survivor up, in best case scenario, you have 45. Both are enough to pick a survivor up.
Sometimes you need to slug be it to put pressure on survivors, type of killer your playing i.e hag, other survivors are close ready for save. Slugging at 5 gens yer that's just wrong but at times you need to slug and now having UB as basekit it will kill a lot times you need to slugh.
-
@NerfedFreddy said:
Camping and tunneling are not strategies bc strategy implies some skill, planning and decision making that those "strategies" clearly lacks. They are simply bad side effects of dbd base gameplay mechanics that killers tend to explot for easy wins and bhvr should fight against
Not really as some killers are best played by setting up a 3 gen from the start i.e hag so during that match you need to plan and decide where the 3 gen will be, what gens your willing to give up and making sure that you keep the 3 gen till late in the game, which is why some killers will hook someone in the middle of a 3 gen as they are able to cover 3 objectives at once. So they are far from exploits and some take some real planning to pull off and are needed in some case.
Are you telling me if you played killer and downed a survivor under a pallet and you saw someone with a flashlight you would pick them up or would you chase the other survivors, yes face camping at 5 gens sucks but sometimes killers need to proxy camp if they know survivors are near the hook and most times survivors are tunneled is due to your teammates unhooking you before the killer even leaves the hook.
This change to UB basekit is not the way to go it just the devs being lazy if anything they should off let you bleed out faster if you wanted to or heal yourself faster when downed but you still need a 2nd survivor to pick you up.

Flashlights are seriously not that bad. If you play more, you will learn how to counter them. You can bait survivors for free hits as well.
If you p1 Billy, Lightborn will unlock on all of your killers. You are new killer and Lightborn is new killer friendly perk. So you should use it when you see survivors have flashlights.
So how do you counter a flashlight blind when pulling someone from a locker something like that shouldn't be able to happen but it does.
@MikaelaWantsYourBoon said:
You are new killer and you are asking nerf for something instead of trying get good?
Just use Lightborn and try to adept. After a while, you will not need Lightborn. Flashlights are fair.
Until they lock survivors at say 20sec left you have no idea what they could bring in as they can swap from no flashlights to 4 in the last few seconds and you don't have time to swap 1 perk for lightborn which can be a very fun match for killer getting blinded at every chance and from angles that shouldn't allow it i.e you can't see them but yet they can blind you from the side.
Answers like that is like saying survivors just need to learn to get good again after patch 6.1 and adept to the new changes and every point the OP has suggested this isn't the first or last time people will complain about flashlights, more so on the side of spamming it and blinding the killer from angles which survivors shouldn't really be able to.

I never stated anything about unsafe unhooks. Even if the killer is chasing somebody on the other side of the map, they will drop it to go back to the hook and go straight after the unhooked person. Happened to myself way too many times, so no its not about if its safe or unsafe unhook, its the killer just targeting 1 person over and over plus ignoring others trying to take hits or get chase.
If the killer is on the other side of the map chasing someone then survivors should have enough time to get the unhook, get somewhere safe and heal up and a lot of people do it under the hook which the killer knows that at least 2 people might be there. Even when i play killer people thought i tunneled them out with out thinking sometimes its just bad luck the killer finding you again first.

Old hatch and key would implement a new option for survivors stuck in a 3v1 gameplay other then just doing gens. It would give some incentive to continue to play reasonably to get enough gens done to at least get hatch to spawn and give the killer another point of pressure. Once the game gets down to 3v1 it stalls on the survivor side and progresses very fast on the Killer side. There needs to be a balance to this.
What happens when the survivors 3 gen themselves its pretty much the middle finger to the killer and a escape they didn't earn, some killers need to plan for a 3 gen, survivors 3 gen themselves why should they be rewarded for messing up and putting themselves in that hard spot.
Games like this will never be fully balanced no matter what they put in place if the killer gets a early kill then it's 3 vs 1 making it harder on survivors but then if survivors get 3-4 gens done and killer has only got a couple hooks then it leans towards the survivors.
One example is F13th game in a 20 min match the first 10min the counselors have a bit of a upper hand as they can fight back but when it its 10 min max the power balance swaps and only a few things will stun him at that point. So for the first 10 min its a race to get out and as more people get killed the harder it becomes

With the way the current setup survivors are not guaranteed 2 or 3 hooks which makes Moris a mute issue for me. Face camping means you literally don’t get off your first hook ever. Moris do not need to be buffed because killers have had many perks and movement buff. Along with plenty of survivor perks being nerfed.
And your saying none of the killer perks got nerfed and that only survivor perks got nerfed survivors got BT put into basekit but that must of been a nerf, Face camping has nothing to do with old hatch and keys and how broken it was same as moris which is why they changed them both. Not every player will face camp and not every killer can face camp well like Bubba you can't bring back one without bringing back the other as both work on the same principals they both can end the match early.

They can’t balance the game around individual killers or their add one (hello nurse). Bringing back the old hatch and key would be a punishment for face camping at gen 5. As the game stands killers have stated repeatedly their game gets easier when they wheedle down the survivors to 3 v1. Survivors need more than “just do gens” strategy once you get down to 3v1 especially when you are in early game with 4-5 gens needing to be done. Adding back old hatch/key would bring additional strategy to the survivor side. If killers want to face camp fine and they should have consequences other than a 4k being the outcome.
Now lets flip the coin and and say the key and hatch comes back then the moris will have to come back and after hooking survivors once, some killers have next to no map pressure or anti loop skills so moris will now be punishment for gen rushing when vs a killer with no map pressure or anti loop. Both changes to moris and key/hatch was needed to make it more of a balanced game.

Yes im a survivor main, but besides that my friends who play killer and survivor equally even find the amount of tunnel, camp & slug atm ridiculous. Might be a tactic but its sure no fun for the whole team. The basekit might be for anti tunneling a bit, but nerfing perks that have to help preventing tunneling, camping & slugging is beyond this. New meta fine, but listen to the community too about it
All those problems could be looked at once survivors learn how to do a safe rescue and not just lead the killer back to the hook so they can get the save then have the other survivor complain they got tunneled, When it was your teammate that did the unsafe hook not the killer so you might say killers are bad for tunneling etc but some survivors are worse hen killers at it,

Dead by daylight has been around since 2016 and it has been 6 years now and survivor game play feels the same . They do not have the same options as killers who can swap up their game play based on killers ability . So something like they can play a killer that incredibly fast pace or a stealth killer taking it slow. They can play killers with a mix of game playstyles
While survivors are as is sure you survivor has a neat cosmetic or just look more appealing than one other but that is it. There is literally no difference between a David and a Jake . They lake something that make their characters unique different and more standout is.
I'll put it in prospective give all killers the same ability and animations
It will feel as if you're facing the same killer every game with the same build every game
That's one thing i liked about F13th each counsellor had skills they were good at plus ones they were bad at, some were better at fixing things and could get it done faster but had no stamina to out run Jason, then someone that is good at fighting Jason but couldn't fix stuff to save his life and this was before perks even came into play.
So depending on who picked who you would work as a team to fix things and get out, some were great for running parts to the car, some for fixing it and some to fight jason.
It would be hard to put something like that in this game as the only things survivors really have to do is gens, if they put a 2nd objective i.e you need to get a part to start a gen i could see something like F13TH had working.

The survivor equivalent of tunneling is called genrushing which is bringing toolboxes, prove thyself and BNP. If survivors only did 25% of a gen, then moved to another gen, they'd all be dead at 5 gens.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3150962#Comment_3150962
Old Undying was anything but balanced, and expecting survivors to cleanse all 5 totems every game is absurd. If you didn't know totem locations, you had to dedicate perks to finding totems and even then you had no way of knowing how many were done.
As for survivors doing unsafe unhooks, those are bad players and they are always going to be present in the game. They also don't represent the bulk of the complaints against tunneling.
Survivor-induced tunneling is fine. There's nobody who'll disagree that killers should punish mistakes. I'm talking about actual tunneling though, where the killer is trying to eliminate a survivor who has recently been unhooked so they can have an easy 3v1.
"As for survivors doing unsafe unhooks, those are bad players and they are always going to be present in the game. They also don't represent the bulk of the complaints against tunneling."
That's the problem us the players and devs have no way to tell when someone post on the forum about getting tunneled if it was a unsafe hook, Survivor-induced tunneling or the killer just went after them no matter what or they made the story up about how they got tunneled out of the game.
So say out of 100 post only 10 of them were legit tunneled out of the game the other 90 weren't but it puts the devs in a hard part do they buff something to help out survivors or do they draw the line and say sorry your not getting any more changes/help the only change will be soloq and how we can buff that.

Pain Res got reverted though. Before the nerfs to those favourite perks, killers still tunneled. Killers claimed they had no choice but to tunnel because of gen speeds.
The devs increased gen times because of this claim, and nerfed regression perks because it would be rather unfair to only increase gen times. Then killers moved the goal posts and said it's because their regression perks got nerfed.
Killers are constantly harping on about how survivors need to adapt, but don't want to do so themselves, and are surprised when survivors actually do adapt. (Insert surprised pikachu face)
Survivors don't adept when undying first came out did survivors adept to the posb of having to do all 5 totems nope they just bitched till it got nerfed, survivors got base kit BT and instead of adapting they still go for unsafe hooks i.e right after killer hooks a survivor, the killer take 10 steps and bam a unhook or the best one a survivor is in chase with the killer and is injured but runs to the hook to get the unhook.
There is so many survivors complaining about being tunneled or camped and its the killers fault, yet if a unsafe unhook happens like the ones i said above and you get tunneled who's fault it is it's your teammates fault not the killers, the killer has no obligation not to chase you and if they do don't blame the killer blame your teammates.
No matter how many buffs to base kit or perks if your team mates are going to unhook you when it's not safe then non of the perks or base kit changes will matter.

What would rather a killer that hard camps and tunnels one person out at 5 gens left or one that wants to have a bit of fun by trying to get someone to boop the snoot, so which is is are you happy with killers hard camping and tunneling someone out at 5 gens or a killer that is more relaxed to play against more fun because they are trying to do this meme?

Next time you have the pig as the killer crouch down and walk towards the pig, if the killer is going to let you do it they will do the same thing and once your right in front of the pig you point at the pigs nose and that's how you boop the snoot.

Then like i said, they need to fix matchmaking.
Equal levels need to play with each other and against. And this probably will make imposible to find match on top mmr and low mmr. Because most of players are mid-mmr. And they are not gonna do this.
The lastest patch destroyed solo-q exp and escape numbers down so badly. Killer queues are insanely long. So yeah, they have to do that. They needed to give some love survivors.
But i think this will stop here. I doubt they will add anything to basekit anymore. Maybe mini version of Corrupt for killers, i would support that tho. But DS base-kit? This is insanely broken and it will never happen. Just make DS 5 second again and perk will be alright.
Yer i agree with you on that they need to look at the mmr system and matching making the lobbys are just to random at the moment and solo q does need some love.
Who knows if they will or won't we know what they are like, to me i would rather them look at killers that struggle at the start and if they can buff them in a way i.e trapper gets a speed boost at the start but after first hook or hitting a survivor goes back to normal speed, corrupt for killers would make some even stronger like nurse and help out weaker ones like Myers.
Just have to say thankyou it's been a civilized chat with you and the points going back and forth between us, it's not often you get this on the forum.

i know i posted this in the past and i read the pros and cons answers , but 1 year passed and here we are, 34558343 updates later, tons of survivor perks nerfing yettttttttttt we are still facecamped. My most recent game i just got out of , i asked the killed why he camped my hook only and he/she said IT WAS ONLY YOU AND 1 OTHER LEFT, I WON;T WASTE MY TIME CHASING 1 SURVIVOR HE COULD BE ANYWHERE, SO I ALWAYS FACECAMP . well i was pretty discouraged to play as killer before, but i see absolutely no changes in the killer behaviour nor BHVR applying any penalty for this. I currently have 4k hours in game and i am always grinding my way to rank 1 iri, as i am in this moment too. I love the game, but man am i sick of facecampers?! i got it we nerfed DS too and BT and what not, but MAN DO YOU KILLERS REALLY NEED TO HUG OUR HOOK EVERY SINGLE GAME? I honestly feel like playing killer just to prove survivors good fair killers exist and the game is not suppposed to go this way. Go ahead tell me i am wrong, but i am uber bored of finding campers and tunnelers still.
LMFAO are you kidding with this post, they gave you a valid response as to why they faced camped you it was you and one other person at that point and your lacking some info how many gens were done, did the EGC start and would you rather them slug you until they found the other person posb leaving you to bleed out taking 4 min. You would think someone with 4k hours in the game would know this stuff and not just look at it as they just got face camped for no reason, BUT MAN DO SURVIVORS NEED TO COMPLAIN ABOUT EVERY SMALL THING WITHOUT THINKING THAT IT'S THE BEST STRATGY THE KILLER CAN DO IN THAT MOMENT.

But survivors have no counter for camp and tunnel. This was problem. I know we can use some perks but they all are band-aid perks. I am alright for base-kit changes if they made it good.
Base-kit BT is good change but it needs one small change for make it fair. Survivor should lose collision. So they can not bodyblock for their teammates and killer can not tunnel them easily. Fair change for both sides.
And killers could argue that some perks or base-kit BT shouldn't work in EGC because it puts the killer in a lose/lose situation soon as the EGC timer starts it should be all or nothing unless your killer build was for endgame but that meant playing the match with 1-2 perks, it should pretty much get out once gates are open if you want to come back for your teammate that's fine but some things won't wont like perks and base-kit BT.
"Survivor should lose collision. So they can not bodyblock for their teammates and killer can not tunnel them easily. Fair change for both sides." this part i agree on fully cause if you body block me going for the unhooker then im going right after you and not them now, it's not just now but the future of DBD people are wanting base-kit DS and it buffed back up to 5 sec but they seem to forget why it went from 3 sec to 5 sec and the promise the devs made about the time.
So when do the devs say no we are not making anything more base-kit if your teammates do a unsafe hook that's on them not the killer, you can't expect the killer to pick a healthy survivor over one that's injured of it was a really bad play form you teammate, that's what worries me is a lot of people asking for things to be base-kit and not looking/thinking outside the box and what problems that could cause to the game.

I am not telling you are wrong but the point is you can not choice your solo-q teammates. And sadly the matcmaking we have pretty bad.
So they need to make matchmaking very fair which will make queues very long for both sides. Because soft levels will be removed, everyone will play with people who is on their level.
But they don't wanna do that because queues will be really long. So they added soft levels which makes you team with god or baby survivors. So if you have this type matchmaking on your game, then you need to give some love to solo survivors. Because baby teammates most likely will ruin their games.
I am okey with 10 seconds BT, this is really good change.
That's part off the deal when you join a lobby you never know who will be on your team, it's like that with most games even ones that aren't pvp based or 1 vs 4, take FF14 when you queue for pvp or just even a trail depending on your class your taking the risk of getting a bad tank, healer or even dd.
So no matter how much they tweak the matchmaking there will always be those times when you will get bad teammates or your the weak link in the team, yes solo q does need some work even just something to let your team know what your doing i.e working on gen next to your name.
The biggest problem that the devs are heading towards and not sure how many people have picked up on it if they keep making things base kit for survivors or killers is that it will promote bad plays, punish killers who are trying to play fair and not tunnel, make things to easy for survivors knowing they have base kit to save them. There has to be a line the devs draw and at that point they pretty much have to tell players that they need to improve there skills as survivor or killer and as much as people claim to be in the high mmr bracket they are not.
It might hurt and piss people off but they can't keep adding stuff to base kit on both sides or have a perk band aid a problem, when the simple fact is that the players just need to improve on there game skills for DBD.

@MikaelaWantsYourBoon said:
Unsafe saves was common before base-kit BT too. Nothing changed? So at least unhooked survivor will have chance now.
That's the thing a lot of people were complaining about camping and tunneling and base-kit BT needed a buff but out off all those people that complained how many of them were doing unsafe unhooks, when i play killer it's a joke how many survivors will do a unsafe hook be it just as i hook them they were there waiting to unhook right away, i start walking away and bam they unhook or the one i love the most i could be on other side of the map and the survivor i find starts to run for the save and even after being hit they keep going for the save to the point i down them in front of the hook.
So it's fine to say survivors will have a chance now but they also need to own up about when they are unhooking and start doing safer unhooks, if you give the killer a reason to go back to the hook be it in chase or you unhook a survivor 5 sec after they leave then sorry if the unhooked survivor is tunneled and hooked again that's on your teammate not the killer.

And I'd say that Jason was over buffed for that, him being unstunnable except with the shotgun, but I did like the fact that you getting stun locked makes your rage go up faster. It just feels like there's no DC penalty because every time I get on there, that's all I see. 1-2 people leave 10 seconds into the match. If the host leaves, everyone gets kicked out. That's why I don't play it much.
When they did it they said the first 10 min counselor's were stronger but the last 10 min Jason becomes the power role so the 20 min match time was spilt in half, but if the counselor's kept hitting Jason then he gets rage faster. yer with no servers now and someone having to host its best to play with friends and do a privet game, least you know no one will leave or dc during the match.

That doesn't make any sense to me, because unless all of the players in the lobby had their preference to counselor, why would it ever pick a counselor preferring person to be Jason?
Because they wanted everyone to play Jason at some point, the group of friends i played with the few that picked counselor might of got Jason 1-2 times a week and that was playing everyday for 6 hours.

The game is nowhere near killer sided when you get to the level of survivors being efficient and knowing how to play. The problem with switching to Friday13th, as I've tried multiple times to do, is that the host leaving means everyone gets kicked out, there's no DC penalty, and not finishing a match (either the match getting disbanded or you leaving before the results screen) results in you getting no points or XP. Also, you can't pick when you want to be Jason. It's just chance.
A lot of those things did get fixed before they had to stop working on the game, everyone got servers be it pc or console so no more hosting, they put a DC system in and you could leave once you got your results be if escaping or getting killed and they put it in that you could pick if you want to be Jason more, Counselor or both but even if you picked counselor you would still end up being Jason at some point.

Counselors at the highest level in that game are by far the power role. It's just that you never ever see it because there's no matchmaking system. Also, no DC penalty, and you're getting constant people DCing.
They were till they buffed Jason once he gets rage only 4 things will stun him a gun, pocket knife, knocking his mask off or when you go to kill him otherwise counselors can no longer stun him and they reduced the amount of items they can find. They did put a system in place for people that DC all the time i can't think what it's called but if you DC all the time you would only get matched with other people that DC. Just before the lawsuit made the game come to a halt they put a lot of good changes and fixes into the game but they were a bit to late with the changes even without the lawsuit.

Since the meta perks nerfs for survivors, DbD team propagandaed the so called scourge hook pain resonance ann a series of great perks for killers in the place for the ruined ones. Now every day in east asia server, I keeping getting 4k with 3 or 4 gens left playing as killer and the same as survivor. There has never been one exception match, given how east asia players are not so skillful in general. Shout in slogan with me : Pretty good job so far ! Game perfectly balanced ! From today on, I will begin afking as survivor to grind Shards easily, since killer takes great time to queue up, obviously players are not fool and all know how ez it is now to play killer. GG worse and worse game, now ruining other survivors pleasure is my greatest pleasure since matches all go 4k in the end.
Btw, playing killer really is not fun anymore since with current meta perks, Nurse and Blight guarantee me a 4K in every single match.
: ) Be salty as you can thanks.
You say playing killer is easy then you tell us all that you use the 2 best killers in the game, which pretty much makes your whole topic pointless if playing killer is so easy do it with bad killers and non meta perks?

I try almost every time I see Piggy. I don’t see her much these days.
If it’s a Piggy who tunnels at 5 gens, I deny her my glorious booping skills because she’s a meanie!
Yer a lot of killers don't want to play a killer for memes with survivors or just to try and get a boop, those types of matches are prob the most fun ones i have had as killer, screwing around as ghostface with survivors, trying to get boops, slug races at end ######### i even started a conga line with the survivors following me to the exit and each one left as i turned around as ghostface.

I believe newer players just aren't aware of this "tradition", and some are simply just too scared to get close to the killer by their own will.
True couple months back someone got to boop the snoot for the first time playing this game, they had there friend talking to them explaining what to do and why to do it.

Well explosions because of fast vaulting also count as punishment for Survivors similar to missed Skillchecks. Because you have the choice to slow vault (no punishment) or fast vault (audio cue punishment for rushed action). But there is no option to slow-unhook or something.
Sometimes you don't have the choice to slow vault and the best option is to fast vault to keep your speed, if someone is about to die on hook and the best way to get to them is fast vaulting things are you telling me your going to slow vault and lose a team member then save them and keep them in the game a bit longer.

The game was intended to be played more stealthily and chases were deadlier.
I don't know where you even picked this idea. When Nurse came out it was the time of double pallets, pallet vacuum, no vault blocking/infinites and no bloodlust. Chases where deadlier only when survivors didn't know how to expoit those mechanics.
The OP is kinda right when the game first came out they didn't think or consider looping to be part of the game it was more hide/stealth to get around, soon as people found out you could loop killers the game changed from what they intended it to be to a game in which you can loop killers.

Only an unskilled baby killer camps in the EGC! You should pressure the gates and practice your chases! Camping is for bad killers!
LMAO if the gates are open and EGC has started if a killer hooks a survivor with less then half the EGC he has no reason to leave if he does he is just giving the survivors a free escape at that point, camping is not for bad killers as sometimes you have to camp or you are forced to, yes some people do it right from the first hook they get others do it because the situation calls for it like i described at the start of this.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/342064/you-cant-nerf-nurse
And this? That suggestion is a TERRIBLE idea, from the get go. Nurse needs to be the ONLY one of her kind and that's a fact, killers have already GOTTEN their buff, they do not need anything else given to them.
Not really if they buff solo q even if its something next to the name to let the others know what there doing then you can buff other killers. Not every thing can be solved by nerfing it sometimes you need to buff things but in the right order such as solo q buff then buffing weaker killers, out of the 28 killers only 2-3 get used at high MMR that leaves 25 killers that don't get used.
Nearly everyone is quick to jump on the nurse needs a nerf train but does anyone stop and think why she is used so much and why you never see killers like Myers because Myers can't compete in high MMR, so why not buff him so he can but to do that we need to buff solo q. The game will be a lot more fun if the killers were stronger and the survivors also so each match you feel like you have had to earn your escape or kills.

I’m sorry but am I only one that thinks killers are just too op now? I mean getting one hit by the bell guy is annoying. All the killers are pretty much guaranteed a win. They wanted to make this game more balanced but in all honesty they made it more for the killers. If you main survivor, good luck. Your not winning much. Killers abilities are used and abused since they have ABSOLUTELY no cool down. They can spam and re use over and over again and us as survivors just get the crap end of the stick. Used to live playing this game with my squad but we’re looking at switching to Friday the 13th. Good luck anyone that sticks through this game
If you think this game is hard you will find F13th even harder there is no hooks, only one person can come back as tommy and you could be dead in a min. If Jason catches you and grabs you and you don't have a pocket knife or someone around to hit him then your pretty much dead and his abilities are a lot stronger then the killers here so have fun in F13th.
