My friends and I had a hard time adjusting to the new changes. After many games we eventually adapted and learned how to play better. Honestly, not much has changed, but you have to play more carefully and smarter now. I admit that these changes helped me to loop a little longer and how to manage gens better.

The game is fine, the slow down perks are a bit too much - but still playable to go against.

Very well said and it's nice to see a survivor point out that you just need to adapt to the changes, like any game when something big changes you need to relearn everything and it takes time.

It's not that it isn't an issue. It's that unless you're going against Leatherface, it's not "uncounterable."

All they need to do is work out a why to nerf his power around hooks so even if he camps best he will get is a trade, one idea i had was if he is so close to a hook his chainsaw will only injure one person then go into his rage and loses all charges, now he can't down survivors at the hook and multiple survivors with ease, this will allow him to keep his power away from the hook and if he camps then he can't down 2 or more survivors with ease.

The last Q&A was six months and in the last three months a big antinurse movement appeared in the community and everybody agrees that she needs to be nerfed (the nerf to the range addons are not enough) or reworked (except for the 5 or 6 guys that are in a personal crusade to defend nurse in every thread).

We need a Q&A to know your position about this killer.

Why not learn how to evade her instead of asking for her to be nerfed, out of the 28 killers how many of them can be used in high mmr or even middle, If you want to stop vs nurse every match then ask for the other killers to be buffed to bring them more in line with the top tier killers then people might have a reason to play other killers then 2 or 3.

Why should everything be nerfed and not buffed like nemesis his first tentacle should injure plus give the survivors virus where now you need to hit them 3 times unless you m1 people, I would rather solo q get some buffs be it something next to name so people know what the other survivors are doing and buff weaker killers then going around nerfing everything.

Killers complaining about pallets being too close to each other but GOD FORBID Survivors mention that the hooks are side by side and conveniently placed xD That’s the game, you need to play it. With boil over nerfed it’s easy to down a survivor and take them to the hook.

Want the survivors to jump on hooks themselves next time?

Just look at the game map that is a perfect example off to many pallets and to close together, all a survivor has to do is pre drop the pallet and they can keep looping the killer for ages as there is another pallet close by.

Ik I speak for everyone when I say 5 secs ain’t enough to get anywhere off the hook. Most killers will just wait it out and tunnel. Survivors have dumb endurance while killers all run the same gen control perks. The MMR system doesn’t even work. I fight survivors who are sweats when I don’t even play killer like that. Is DBD currently in a rough spot rn?

If the killer is not camping or proxy camping the hook then the 5 secs is enough to get away, 9/10 saves i see when i play killer is just bad choices from other survivors they unhook the hooked survivor before i even turn around, if in a chase they run to get the save leading me right back to you and sometimes you can see them hanging around so soon as i take 10 steps they rush in for the save.

Survivors cant keep blaming killers when your fellow survivors are just doing unsafe hooks, yes it might suck if the killer goes after you but the other survivor is the one that caused that to happen, when instead they could of waited 20sc for the killer to leave then go for the unhook making it a safe one then going somewhere to heal, so next time you get unhooked and the killer goes after you think if its the killer or another survivor that did a unsafe hook with the killer right there.

  • @Omans said:

It is a skilless, yet overrewarding mechanic. Just because it is part of the game doesn't mean it shouldn't be fixed. Keys were part of the game for the longest time even though everyone knew they were broken.

But there is times when you need to camp as the killer, the other day i had a match and hooked someone in the last 30-45 sec of the EGC and i camped him due to the fact the hook was close to a exit and there was not long left till game ended. So its not a skilless thing as sometimes you need to do it based on the situation your in as camping might be the best play at the time.

  • @OldIronKing said:

I don't think The Game is a bad map for killer.

Have you seen how many pallets is on that map and your forced to break them as the killer there are just way to may and to close together, Survivors love the map as they can pre drop pallets knowing they have a lot more left over.

  • @Plsfix369 said:

I'm tired of playing hooky with SoloQ teammates. When are they going to fix the most SoloQ-esque perk in the game? This is straight up SoloQ abuse.

We want the old 50% self-care back, regardless of whether it stack with medkits or not, and we also want the exhaustion on Iron will removed; 75% is fine.

The reason why I hate playing SoloQ is that I have no control over what my teammate does, and I get punished for it.

Are you sure your not the weak link in the chain, it's easy to blame the other 3 people but all 4 of you have to work as a team if you don't the killer will when most times. it's not a 1v1 game its a 1v4 a single survivor shouldn't go up against a killer and expect to win.

  • @NerfedFreddy said:

No, your job is to find survivors and you refused to do so by just constantly patrolling and infecting 7 gens. You used cheesy strat and you got cheesy counterplay

What else are they meant to do walk to the other side of the map where there are no gens and start looking in lockers there and even in the corners, if all the gens are in one area why would they leave. To give entitled survivors a chance to do gens and get out while the killer is on the other side of the map looking in corners for the survivors?

I know for a fact if they do it for 20 minutes, it's bannable. 15 is probably bannable though as well as long as it's apparent they're not attempting to repair gens.

Yer it would be nice to get a dev/mod to give us a official time and things will be looked at case by case but at least we know when we have hit that mark.

If you feel so strongly then send the footage to Devs and make the report. I have never heard of this happening before so you probably faced a SWF who were d icking around or a bunch of noobs who thought it was best to hide. Either way, move on to the next game and hope it doesnt happen again (or throw up on the lockers 👌).

Not sure if you were meant to replay to me but It wasn't my game it was the OP of this topic that got stuck for 15min trying two survivors, i just think the devs/mods need to give us straight answer and not a black and white answer like they do when it comes to this. They need to give us all a time frame before its classed as holding the game hostage. At least everyone is on the same page then and knows when people can report for holding the game hostage

  • @SuzuKR said:

Ignore the people saying blatant misinformation. It is against the rules and can also potentially lead to a ban (read: can; it's a case-by-case basis). It is considered taking the game hostage and refusal to participate in normal gameplay. Taking the game hostage because it is realistically absurd to expect a killer to find people hiding while intentionally avoiding AFK crows. And refusal to participate in normal gameplay, because they are not attempting to progress anything at all. This has been repeatedly and explicitly stated as such by BHVR staff multiple times.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/4O18WHLBWWGX/image.png

Before someone asks something insanely stupid like "So are survivors expected to just suicide," the answer is no, survivors are expected to attempt to repair generators. Being chased off or occasionally hiding when the killer comes nearby is fine. Refusing to attempt to repair at all is against the rules and can be bannable.

That's all great and all but they need to give a bit more info if a survivor refuse to do gens for 2 min is that taking the game hostage or does it have to be at least 5 min, that's the biggest problem i have seen when people ask if someone is taking the game hostage is how long is enough to be classed as that player taking the game hostage.

They can say it's case by case but they should also have a ball park figure they can give us so people will know if they can report or they have to wait a couple more min, that's the info people need to know most people know what they can report but they are not sure if the time length is long enough.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/341525/is-this-reportable

Toxic but not ban-able. Stealth is a more legitimate strategy than camping/tunnelling.

Could be the case that they were avoiding getting infected noting plagues usually run thana.

There has to be a point were it is classed as taking the game hostage, its not toxic and OP never said anything about that but where do we draw the line of when it becomes holding the game hostage and when its not. This is something the devs and mods have to give us a straight answer and not a black and white answer like they do.

To me the survivors were holding the game hostage as they refused to do gens, it doesn't matter that it was plague or not they refused to make the game progress and only after 15min they did which is to long, We need a cap on how long we can wait before its classed as holding the game hostage be it i.e 10 min least everyone knows after that time you can report the players.

But for anything to work we need the devs and mods to step up there game and give us a answer that is not black and white.

Have done 75 survivor matches since the big perk rework, here's my data:

Average number of gens done: 3.56

Matches with 5 gens done: 24\75

    Average Kills:2.91

    4Ks: 40\75

All survive: 6\75 Every one of these were new players with low tier perks, unfamiliar with the game.

    Noed: 19\75

    Killers uses

    6: Legion, Nemesis

    5: Spirit,

4: Huntress, Myers, Cenobite, Deathslinger, Trickster, Dredge

3: Nurse, Onryo, Wraith, Doctor, Ghostface

2: Clown, Blight, Pyramidhead, Oni, Plague, Leatherface, Demogorgon

1: Trapper, Freddy, Artist, Hillbilly, Hag,

Toxicity is high. Camping and tunneling run rampant. Very few games are fun to play.

And yet you flip the coin for when it was before patch 6.1 and it was survivors that were toxic and playing killer wasn't a lot of fun?

  • @jamally093 said:

I don't mean the tunneling where there's multiple survivors and you down the one that went on hook and another I mean seeing another survivor but going out of your way to still just go after who was just on hook. That kind of tunneling is just a scummy thing to do and I don't know why people do it.

if someone is on death hook why shouldn't the killer go for them and not someone else and remove them from the game, Your pretty much asking for a free pass and for the killers to leave you alone, did your teammates unhook you safe so you had time to go somewhere and heal or did they make a bad play and unhooked you right in front of the killer.

more of the fact that how the killer can see your prestige level means whoever is prestige 0 gets tunneled for the lack of perks

But your leaving out one big factor which is skill and if survivors could see the prestige level of killers and they saw a 0 lvl killer how quick do you think it will take swf to change there build just to bully the killer, I'm not saying all SWF do it but there are ones out there that would do that if they knew the killers lvl.

Here is a good example and this person is high in mmr and a great player Otz now im sure if he want in with no perks or items i'm pretty sure he would still be able to give the killer a good chase, but then you have someone low or mid they won't be able to do that because they don't have the skill like Otz yet.

  • I did say that in my msg you can have someone looking at him and not break him out of it but then someone can see you though say the corn and break you out, it's bugged for both sides not just one survivors not being able to break him out or survivors breaking him out without LOS.

  • @FacecampingTunneler said:

While the outplay for ghostface stalk is getting him to hit you, if you are running from him and he just lean stalks you to 99 for later there is very little you can do especially if you didn't break them out while they stalked you, which isn't helped by the hit box to break him out of stealth not being very reliable.

The same can be said but without the possibility for an outplay towards the exit gates getting 99 it would become more interesting if survivors had to choose between opening the exit gates and starting endgame collapse or I guess having someone to keep the exit gates at 99 since once again just being able to leave them and come back without any progress decreasing

To conclude I am not in favour of nerfing ghostface since I recognise one of his best strategies can be to 99 the stalk, but I just feel like there should be more counterplay or ghostface shouldn't be able to just leave you completely with one hit for a game until they find you again and of course if this was nerfed another area of ghostface would need to be buffed, maybe killer should be able to hit the exit gate to reduce the progress by 10-20% so that seeing an exit gate at 99 isn't like staring at a generator that is 99 that you can't kick.

To be honest if ghost face get's you to 99% then then just tap stalk to get it to 100% then you kinda deserve to go down, as far the hit box to break him out of it yer that is not the best you can be in front of him and not break him out or have no los and break him out of it. When i play him the amount of survivors that just don't look around them when doing a gen is the reason i can 99% them.

  • @Crowman said:

If you return to the hook, chase the survivor who was unhook, down them, and immediately hook them. It is tunneling.

However, survivors who dress up in the same outfit really has less grounds to complain about tunneling, because it becomes nearly impossible to tell who is who.

You really can't be that vague about tunneling, if he returned to the hook while chasing someone and they do a unhook in your face then to me it's fair game and it's on your teammates for making that play, compared to if he stood close by with a stealth killer or a nurse that can blink there in one blink, as far as your teammates are aware the killers not around to down but then bam the unhooked survivor is downed and hooked again that's more camping/tunneling.

    @TDtheDoc said:

Is it considered tunneling if all 4 survivors where exact same outfit?or even if there are just 2 the exact same? Its happened twice today all 4 the same.I didn’t bother trying to tell which is which I just hit and hooked.

You have to remember it's not against the rules to tunnel does it suck yes but your nor breaking any rules, if you try and not tunnel survivors there will be times that your hand is forced or you just come across the same person 45sec later. Which by the sounds of your post is what happened it was just bad luck for that survivor, not all but some survivors will say you tunneled even though you didn't .

  • @Shenshen said:

Yeah, I hope they hide the prestige levels. Nobody should be judged based on how often they prestige a character. I played against so many prestige 20+ players who were straight up bad at the game and a lot of people without prestige and they were gods. I think hiding it will benefit both sides.

People just need to change there mindset and start to realize that prestige has nothing to do with mmr, i could have a prestige lvl 0 Steve but then a prestige lvl 20 meg all it shows is that i put all my blood points into meg and just enough to unlock his 3 teachable perks, some people didn't want to prestige before the new system came into play.

If they hid the prestige lvls the forums and after match chat will start to fill up with people complaining that they are getting people that are not in the same MMR as them and that all match they did nothing while they ran the killer for 5 min.

Either way I can't take crouching Ghostface seriously so when I see one approaching I'll generally take a injury/down just crouch walking towards them because I think it's funny and sometimes they're happy to find a crouching friend <3

I actualy have never managed to boop the snoot, I don't see Pigs often and the ones I saw didn't want boops :(

it will still make people unmotivated to play against high prestige ranks or playing with a low prestige teammate. it needs to go

Or maybe people just need to change there mindset and realize it means nothing now, not everything needs to go or be hidden a low prestige teammate could loop the killer better then the high prestige one in your party. If it goes the forum will be flooded with people bitching about getting low lvl prestige players in there party and that they are sick of it and they would like to see who they have in the party to know if they have a good group.

You get my vote Sephiroth and cloud would be interesting on how they would set them up in this game, you could pick another person for the survivor but cloud just fits it to well and the whole lore behind it could even do aeris as a second survivor.

  • @Remedicist said:

Agreed, the prestige level should not be seen in lobby. The end game result section is fine for it to show, but the lobby gives reason to dodge lobbies. It could be said that the prestige level, at least currently due to this system being new, does not imply a specific skill level but regardless it can still be used to dodge lobbies and anything that lengthens queue times is not great.

You pretty much answered the question as why there is no point to remove them, i could put all my points into say Steve and have him at prestige 15 does that make me a great player no it just means that's who i have put most of my bp into. But then on the other hand i play meg and she is only at 3 but yet im a great player, i just never took her past that lvl and with the new system forcing you to prestige all it means is you put a lot of bp into that character does not mean your a great player.

  • @HugTheHag said:

While I do think, like you've mentionned, that it could very easily be used to BM (you need not look further than Doctors spamming shock therapy to know that if you give this sort of power to killers, some will make sure to harass with it), I'd actually really like for killers to emote more.

I think when it's not used to BM, it could actually make the game a bit healthier, as I often notice that when I do silly things as killer to show that I'm not offended when survivors do a cheeky play (headbang after accidentally opening a locker/vaulting instead of picking up a survivor, nodding after getting pallet stunned, etc.), they actually get more chill afterwards as they understand that I'm not a raging tryhard or a bot but really person also trying to have fun on this game.

I don't know exactly which emotes I would like more, I'm biaised towards a variation of "come here" since I love giving hatch and people don't always understand hitting the air as an invitation to follow. I think emotes that differ from general "bad guy" behaviour might also bring some roleplaying element to the game, like negotiating a hook trade or such.

I don't know. But I'd definitely like more possible interactions with survivors.

Same when i play ghost face and i have at hooked them all at least once ill start to mess around and it can take a while for survivors to pick up on it but when they do the fun can start, like a kongo line with us all crouched and me leading them to the next gen lol. Or as the pig trying to get someone to boop the snoot it would be great if there was something that happened after they did it even if they got bp for it so many survivors are scared to try to do it.

Just be a lot more fun and chilled if killers had some form of fun emote you can use or something happens when survivors do something would bring a lot of laughs to this game then there is now.

I don’t need people telling me how to play, if I want to die on hook for any reason at all,I am perfect able to do so whether you think it’s right or not, and back to your previous comment, it’s ok for killers to do things survivors cringe about regarding tunneling and all that other hoopla so if you wanna play in a toxic manner which makes people want to move on from your match, so be it, killers have this cringe idea they are the only ones who dictates how a match goes, and the way to combat that is to simply show yourself to the hook and allow the entity to take them. If the devs had any desire to fix the mess they currently have on their hands, how about actually give survivors something they can use when a killer decides he’s just going to take a player out so he can get ez mode.

Should we bring up the last few years before some survivor items and perks started to get nerfed they dictated how the killer had to play the match i.e old DS+UB combo, go back to the very OG post about this topic and what they are asking and talking about, all you care about is that you are able to ######### on hook fine go make a new topic about that and ######### about it, the OP asked people why the hate and people responded to it both killer and survivor mains.

So it's got nothing to do with if i play killer or survivor they wanted to know why people hate people that do it and there was a lot of good answers from both sides but all you care about is if you can do it, this msg you just posted has nothing at all to do with the topic apart from i'm entitled and i should be able to pick the matches i want to play.

To set things right most people enjoy my matches i don't camp, tunnel and most of the time everyone gets out why because i have more fun chasing and having fun even if i meme with survivors.

Whether that player committed die or not I think is actually irrelevant. If a player is the type to commit die on first hook against a killer, I highly doubt that they would have been able to survive and escape regardless of what they would have contributed to the match if they stayed in it. Players that do that are usually very bad and will die even if their teammates save them and the player decides to the match seriously and try to escape after getting unhooked.

I'm also not talking about nerfs or buffs or anything, I just like looking at data charts.

Even if your just after those data chats they still won't be 100% due to people killing themselves on hook, there is a lot of reasons people do it but you neve know the impact they might of had in the game if they stayed and tried, instead of the killer getting a 4k that match they might of only got a 2k if they stayed and helped out the team which is why the stats you can't really trust the stats unless they break down each kill. It would be interesting to see the stats but i would only want to see stats that are close to 100% as they can get, like with pig a breakdown of kills and headpops to see what she is getting more of would be interesting to see.

Kill rates across different MMR brackets actually makes sense though. You'd be able tell which killers are only good at stomping noobs, and which killers excel even against very skilled players.

We've only really received incomplete pictures: global kill rates that are not differentiated by MMR bracket. Seeing pick rate + kill rate at each given MMR bracket is way more useful data. Lumping together the kill rates of lobbies with people that have just installed the game in with lobbies of 8k+ hour gamers is not helpful.

It's like testing the accuracy of a new firearm by handing it people who have never held a gun before, and also giving it to veteran shooters. Then after the accuracy test is completed, you don't differentiate the veteran's results from the newbie's results and treat all data equally. This means that your data will show your gun is halfway between being unusably inaccurate and being able to thread a needle, and you can't tell what adjustments to make since the waters are so muddy.

We as the community cannot even make our own data charts using our own MMR and kill rates, since we cannot even see our own MMR without using external programs. I just want to see some numbers, since I can't make my own data chart relevant since I have no way to know what MMR I'm playing in.

To get the kill rates you would like to see they would have to work out which was a kill and which was a survivor killing themselves on hook, when ever we get kill rate stats we know they don't count DC but everything else they do not sure if a bleed out counts, so nurse could have 4k across all MMR but if they looked at each kill it might turn out to only be 2k due to people killing themselves on hook and as the devs have said they aim for 2 kill and 2 escapes so to them nurse is fine.

So people killing themselves on hook to get a nerf on a killer could be doing more harm then good, where if they saw nurse was getting 4k with no one killing themselves on hook then they could look at her and adjust to bring that number down.

sounds pretty toxic to me....if they dont want to play and you hold them hostage. thats no better then them wanting to leave. But this is how the community works. you basically just admitted you're goal was to make the game fun for others. the problem is you are entitled and think that them leaving is against the rules. hate to break it to you. but people outside of d/cing have every right to just let themselves die on hook. if you dont like that im sorry. but you do not control others

It's the reason why people kill themselves on hook that people are upset about not that they can do it, you say they are entitled sorry but it's people like you who really are entitled that think they have every right to kill themselves on hook just because they get a killer they don't like, a map, found first and got downed quick when you thought you could loop that killer for ages.

I do the same thing if i know a survivor just wants out of the game because i hooked them before a gen popped so they try and 4%, sorry but if your team gets you of the hook your the last person i'm hooking, if its a emergency then DC by the time you have sorted out the emergency your DC penalty will be over.

Bruh why don't you try reading comments and even more what the topic is about, its not about if you should or shouldn't be allowed to ######### on hook but why people get upset about it, like when a survivor gets a killer they don't like or they get downed first and rage quit.......this topic had nothing to do with camping/slugging/tunneling.

They just made survivor incredibly unfun end of story, why would you play solo Q when you can play killer or any other game, it's pretty clear with these queue times no matter what this killer sided forum is saying, give me double/triple BP and maybe I'll play solo q again the grind is atrocious...

honestly played other games for a week and I already feel better, if you're playing long solo Q sessions like I used to do the game is not fine, it's anything but fun

And how many times did killers have to suffer though something that was incredibly unfun over the years like DS or DH before they both got changed, a lot of streamers that played this were able to play music and talk to people in chat while playing survivor but now they can't as much because they had to adjust how they played the game.

  • @EntitySpawn said:

    Gonna have to disagree.

Most games I lose will be due to DCs, people giving up or a massive range of skilled players (people that dont touch gens or able to loop while versing obviously skilled killers)

Sure info and stuff will help but that's not the biggest issue for me, it's the DCs and bad matchmaking

By giving solo q a way to give out info on what they are doing over time they will get better and matchmaking won't be as bad because solo q know that they can tell there team what they are doing i.e someone says going to save you don't have to leave your gen, Unlike now all other 3 survivors could get of the gen to come save you.

Have 5000 hours in this game and I did not even know you could see others playtime? Or is that on PC? I know where to find my own playtime, can PC players and others see mine?

Solo problem is lack of info and bad teammates.

I'm on PC and if another player is using steam then i can check there steam profile and see how many hours they have, if its any other platform i.e epic or they are on console i can't check it i can only do steam.

These were released at the beginning of this year, and prove that before the update (6.1.0) that almost all killers had a greater than 50% kill rate, meaning the game favoured killers and never favoured survivors. The reason for the 6.1.0 update was to help killers when it was never hard for killers.

The 6.1.0 update is unfair to survivors.

We all know DC don't count in the stats but things like killing yourself on hook does which screws up the stats and not making them 100%.

  • @Blue_Foxy said:

its not being tunneled, or teammates leaving on hook. its these freaking insecure killers that check every profile before the game starts and when they see someone with under 100 hours they tunnel the hell out of them and then the rest of the team gets screwed at 4 gens, and please dont be one of those copy and paste killer mains who are like "but they have base-kit bt!" explain how the hell 3 seconds of endurance is supposed to stop hard tunneling

You can't check every profile if someone is on console i cant check how many hours they have in the game, the real problem is like mooks said its the lack of info to make teamwork better, if they had something even if it shows next to there name i.e working on gen solo q will be a lot better.

Honestly the only reason I regularly play SoloQ beacuse the matches that are fun are REALLY fun and peak DBD. Like having a teammate that gets that game changing flash save with 0 comms. Or your entire team trying to figure a way to save the person on hook in endgame. It is ADDICTING and extremely fun to play those types of matches. But instead I just get bad players who literally do not know how the game works. It’s so painful when you put in so much work to carry but you get shafted anyway. And when you play with SWF that are good you’re a toxic gen rusher. You play to have fun you’re a toxic bullyer. Survivors can’t really win. It goes both ways with the survivor rule book and just baby rage and entitlement a lot of survivors have.

Not every swf that play to have fun is toxic bullys or gen rushers a lot of them just want to have fun but finding a killer willing to meme around with them and have a laugh is hard, it starts to become toxic bullys when you have a 4 man swf and all they want to do is blind you as much as they can and not care about gens, is that fun for the killer even more when they switch at the last second so the killer can't even put on lightborn.

The only way things will get better is if all of us as a community step up and be the bigger person and help out the new people, not hook suicide, not camp a survivor at 5 gens, if all new people see is the ######### things people complain about then guess what happens they start to do the same thing.

But it's a major ask to ask each side to step up and be the better person, remember that this is only a game and to try and have fun with out ruining someone else's experience.

How does a soloQ survivor teach other soloQ survivors to play better? Theres no voice communication. I understand and ageee with what you are saying, but this game doesn't really offer the option to communicate with others unless you invite them to a party and the majority of soloQ players don't join parties.

soloQ really needs something to let others know what your doing being something next to your name like in chase to help soloQ big time, things i know worked for me was pointing at stuff like a gen to do even if one of us got hit, if they are healing teabag so they let you heal them and end game chat give tips i think you might of said you play on console not sure. It is really though no matter what you try i will agree with you on that.

Something is better then just giving up and killing yourself on hook because then they start to think its fine to do that and it just spreads.

Yeah but thats not the only reason ppl choose to die. After playing this game for so long you can tell what your teams general intentions are fairly quickly. Especially if you can see all of them. Plus when matchmaking puts you with noobs who just hide it can become extremely frustrating. In certain situations I def choose to die asap. Its never bc of which killer or which map though.

One thing you have to keep in mind if you get matched with new players is at one point you were new to the game and possibly doing the same thing or something else till you learnt better, teach them in the match even if you don't escape be the better person and not ######### try and help the new players.

When i play killer if i feel like i have come across a new player i'll ease up on them and let them learn the game a bit even do more chases with them so they start to learn how to loop, why do i do that because i know at one point i was new to the game and had to learn everything and it sucked when a killer just got you out of the match asap.

    • Outside of facecamping, why let the killer tunnel your friend out? It's not the killer's job to split damage evenly, it's your team's job to protect someone being focused. Bodyblock, obfuscate, interfere, save.
    • DCs - sure. DC penalties need to be amped up.
    • What is wrong with Trickster? He's a low tier killer.

It is amusing to see you calling killers entitled, then admitting to griefing people because they play a low tier killer that you have a weird grudge against.

Yep they didn't like it much when i called them out on it that they are calling killers entitled but yet they play as a entitled survivor.

Excellent point. Dear killers, when you press that ready button, remember that every survivor can die on the hook. It seems pretty straight forward, to me. Everyone is allowed to play the game in the way that its designed.

This whole topic was about the hate for people doing it not that you can or can't do it, if you load in and find out its a killer you don't like and you make yourself get downed then hooked first just to ######### on the hook, the survivors are going to hate it because now you just made the match even harder for them and the killer is put in the spot do they kill everyone knowing its unfair or take pity on the survivors.

That's one example of why people hate people that hook suicide not that they can do it but the reason behind it, you hit that ready button means your ready for a match and willing to face what ever killer, map and teammates if playing solo. If you get a killer you don't like play the match out instead of being entitled and killing yourself, how many killers do you see DC if they get the game knowing how many pallets are on that map.

I started playing killer in 2020 - and preferred it to survivor then.

Yes, the role had a lot of problems, but it was far more engaging than survivor.

F13 was fun, but it was a mess. Infinite stuns, trolls, hackers...plus, I found that it got old really fast.

    VHS is just so...janky.

Did you ever play it after they buffed Jason so when he got rage only like 3 things could stun him at that point, that was a lot of fun then having a group around you trying to stun you and you just standing there slashing them all to death lol.

I am getting a little tired of this "hit that ready button you know what can happen" because guess what... When you play survivor or killer, you know the other players can press M1 or whatever it is on the controller and then they can press nothing too... You know what those actions are, hook escapes and missed skill checks. If you're saying I am readying up knowing my friend can be tunneled out, then you're readying up knowing I can use those game mechanics as well.

If it helps, 6.2.0 is going to come with a perk that stops me from missing skill checks, if it bothers you that much, run that perk.

I never said it bothers me but the topic was about "Why the hate for hook suicide" and you said you do it and listed some reasons why you hook suicide and yet in another post calling 80% of killers entitled which is why you play killer, i just called you out and said your a entitled survivor for killing yourself on hook for those reasons.

That is why there is so much hate for hook suicides is because of people like you that do it for no reason and then try to justify it i.e i didn't get a killer i like, my friend got tunneled out early, someone else DC, the killer downed me first.

As for 6.2.0 is the perk going to counter camping more or is it going to used more to stop people from killing themselves on hook and make them stay in the game, i think people are saying one person alone can make 1 stage take like 3-4 min now.

VHS dubbed by streamers as the dbd killer, latter changed to a competitor, player count declining rapidly went from 5k to 500-1300 players maximum. Probably will cease development soon.

Evil dead the game shutdown one of the US servers due to lack of players. Others expected to follow. Only EU and US server remain

Home Sweet Home Survive shutting down EU and US server.

Spirit Detective lost all of the global playerbase.

Propnight peak player count is 300 players daily.

So DbD is the king of the genre, no competition.

I wouldn't call DBD the king of the genre the one thing that made so many people play it was that playing survivor was easy for so long compared to other games.

Like someone said hide or die flopped and is was because of a few reasons but one of the biggest is that the devs changed the game from LMS which is what people backed on kickstarter to a DBD copy because so many people complained that it wasn't fun getting killed then that was it there was no stages just death on first time, they couldn't loop the killer they had to hide from it yet the name of the game was hide or die. so when it came out in EA people didn't like it because DBD was better and hide or die was just a copy.

F13th is a great fun game in my view but apart from the legal issues once they get the balance of the game in a good spot people found playing survivor was a lot harder then DBD, if people think solo q is bad in DBD then they should try F13th where once Jason finds you your pretty much dead and that could be 1 min into the game, to escape you can do it solo but chances are low you really need to work as a team to get out. I watched a group of DBD streamers try it a couple months ago when it was Friday the 13th and yer they found it fun but also a lot harder then DBD when it came to playing survivor.

So for people that wanted a easy mode when they played survivor DBD was the game to go to as it allowed that until the last patch and look at the outcry from survivors because the game wasn't as easy anymore.

Sarcasm is not your strong suit is it...

EDIT: Just in case you are still missing the point of the trickster part... Basically, I was just making the point that people give up for all sorts of reasons...

it's not sarcasm when its the truth like i said when you both hit that ready button you know what can happen and you having 4k+hours know that it can be a lot of things, you know people DC when they get hit first, found first or even screw up in a chase it could be a killer you don't like, a map, you or your friend could be tunneled out early.

Killing yourself on hook because of those reasons makes you entitled so calling 80% of killers entitled while your in the i.e 80% of entitled survivor's.

Learning what? I have 4k hours in this game and have been playing since 2017... there is nothing new to learn. As for bloodpoints I am often sitting at the max to the point its a meme among my friends that I bring BPS or something similar cause well I am maxed.

To be fair, I do mostly play killer, so I only really play survivor to play with my friends... I don't enjoy the role of survivor because I honestly think 80% of the killer base are entitled C words that think their fun and win is all that matters... So to be fair, I really don't care about their fun, nor the fun of those outside of my friends. I want to play the game with my friends. If we can 4 man SWF we do. But we all have lives, family, work, and friends. We can't always get together as a group, so it's often 2 of us.

Also, I will stay in the game if there is like 1 gen maybe 2 left, but if my friend dies at 3+ gens, I just want to get out and go into the next one to play with them.

You call "80% of the killer base are entitled C words" but yet your first post

I mean, I give up on hook all the time. If a killer tunnels out my friend at 4 gens? Why should I stay in the game and keep playing when the whole point I booted up the game was to play with them... What if someone DC's at 5 gens? should I really stay in the game and play a 3v1 cause someone DC'd? What if its trickster? Should I stay in a game and play against him... I think not...

You are being a entitled survivor with the actions you take when you and your friend hit that ready button you both know what your getting into, so when the match loads and its a trickster killing yourself on hook because you want out is making yourself as you put it "entitled C words".

Believe it or not, there’s some survivors out there who don’t think they deserve special treatment in this game and dc against nurse because they simply don’t like her and don’t think much of it afterwards. Do everyone a favor and stop throwing around that godforsaken word ‘entitled’.

If they DC against a nurse for no matter what reason be it they don't like vs her then they are being entitled and selfish to there other teammates, by DC against killers you don't like then you are being entitled because your picking which ones you face where as everyone else plays the match they signed up for, if you want people to stop using the word entitled then survivors and killers need to stop acting like they are.

  • @syain said:

    Deserved

No that's just survivors being entitled there is no reason to DC unless its a irl emergency they just didn't get a killer they liked, when you hit that ready button you know what your getting into be it a nurse or ghost face them DC is them just having a cry.

  • @legacycolt said:

Most people are saying the game is killer sided now, so not balanced.

Also nurse needs a rework. She’s too overpowered, especially after the recent patch.

The game is not meant to be fully balanced its a 1v4 not a 1v1 if it was a 1v1 then it needs to be balanced fair so it comes down to skill on who wins, being a 1v4 the one needs to be just a bit stronger then the 4 but what makes the 4 stronger then the 1 is not perks or items but teamwork.

If you take away all perks addons etc and have a match the killer needs to be slightly stronger then the survivors as it is 1 person going against 4, if those 4 can work as a team then they will become stronger then the killer but soon as teamwork fails the killer wins.

loading into the match you never know what your going to get you could go a full healing build and get plague that's just bad luck that tipped the balance but it can work the other way and a myers can face a really good team.

1 2 3 4 … 11
