His basekit is perfectly balanced, some of his addons could use some tweaks but nothing too crazy.
-
Kind of unrelated but why are you playing huntress with a controller on PC?

Classic DBD dev move instead of offering advice or addressing the issue you make a sassy remark. It's fine I know your not playing in red ranks. That's why you don't balance for them.
What he is saying is absolutely true but you sound like you are too butthurt to accept it
-
Playing the game is toxic
-
I'd say bubba is the worst. Clown isn't totally useless at loops and he would actually be decent if he had some way of applying gen pressure.

Oh, so now we're all forced to play with only top killers otherwise we will just lose every single match? Your logic is so flawed like tell me what kind of online multiplayer game actually forces you to use the same character everytime you play it? It shouldn't be like that, we should be able to use any killer we want without the game being so unbalanced otherwise it's not fun at all. Do you think I want to play only Freddy and Spirit? No, obviously
And about the insults, I was just replying to you with the same amount of toxicity as you when you told me to "go cry in the forums" lol
I didn't even say that gen times are fine or that those killers are fine. I'm saying that because that's how the game is at the moment. Don't even know why you think that I do lmao
That "cry in the forums" thing wasn't directed at you either. I was saying that to everyone here. These forums are full of whining and crying instead of giving any constructive feedback.
-
They have to take addons, perks and items into consideration when they are measuring skill but I don't know how they can do that when there are so many variables.
If a survivor escapes with a key or if a killer uses an ebony mori, iridescent head or something that's not really skill at all.

Imho they should drastically slow genspeed within the first 1-2 minutes BUT speed it up a lot at a later stage (either as time goes on or/and hookcount/dead survivors.
So it wouldn't feel as bad as killer since you won't lose gens that fast at the beginning and as survivor you still got a chance even if another survivor dies since gens could get done faster
I also suggested something like that that before. 25% slower until the killer gets their first hook or for 2 minutes if they fail to do so would be fair in my opinion.

Against a strong swf it does mean you lose the game, you'll most likely get one kill and that's it.
Cry lmfao I'm not crying, I'm stating facts you troglodyte.
Depends on which killer you are playing. I'd say you can get a 2k at least unless you are playing clown, leatherface or legion etc.
I'm done discussing here if you're going to keep throwing insults at me by the way

That's like the stupidest and most survivor biased reply anyone could ever give, honestly.
Go to the forums and cry would be a more appropriate answer for you guys honestly.
There is nothing wrong with my answer. Losing 2 gens doesn't mean you lost the game already.

Let me just highlight this statement the player made before continuing
"because I was spirit and not a weak killer"
When I say generator speeds are too fast I mean generator speeds are too fast, not that killers are weak, not that it's impossible to 4k. I say generator speeds are too fast, if 3/5 of your objective can be completed within the first minute and a half of the game it puts the killer into the defeatist mindset making the game a misery to play, they'll still do well but instead of having fun because of the game they'll be feeling relieved due to the amount of stress being put onto them being relieved.
Your not going to convince me generator times are fine by trying to subvert the debate in a direction your more confident in talking about.
I'm not trying to convince anyone that gen speeds are fine. I do think that they go too fast, not because of the gen speed itself, but because of the map design.
I'm just saying that maybe you guys should post videos where the killer actually loses to prove your points. Like I said, if I did think that the game was fine, this would not convince me at all.
-
Try to stop them from doing the other 3 :)
You guys aren't helping your cases at all by posting videos where the killer ends up winning. If I was someone who did not believe that gen speeds were too short, this would not convince me at all.

Making useless perks better is a good thing for both sides. Give survivors some good perks and maybe you won't see the same meta perks as a killer.
They are already working on reworking monstrous shrine. Changing that perk is not so simple because you can't just increase the numbers to make it good. It needs a new effect entirely.
Many of the perks you listed are also fine. Some of them could use buffs but it's better to buff the most useless perks first and I would say there are more of those on the survivor side.

Because the means of playing the game that are the most efficient for killers have been deemed toxic by survivors. Now with the removal of Ruin which let killers give survivors a nicer experience, killers are now gonna slug, camp, tunnel and play in all the ways that survivors hate. Because otherwise even a mediocre survivor team can finish the game in under 6 minutes.
Now I will say, I don't think using the perks you listed is toxic in of itself, I do think that the more offensive usage of these perks is rather toxic because they're meant to be defensive options. DS/BT in particular have way too wide an application for their level of power.
Insidious Bubba is the most inefficient tactic ever. There is literally no other reason to do it except pissing people off.
-
Demo's perks are pretty bad but I like his power more than pig personally. If you care about perks though you should go for pig (unless you got her perks from the shrine). Make your choice is great on some killers.
-
If this is actually a thing then it is probably only noticable from the killer's perspective. I did try using flashlights and the blind times looked identical as a survivor.
-
I very rarely see people using the new ruin
Killers are mostly doing fine because like 90% of red rank survivors are garbage.
That's my experience as a survivor for now, the issues will never be apparent until ranks actually mean something.
-
Disabling vsync is not bannable as far as I know
No one has been banned yet for changing icons, the devs will not actively ban anyone for changing them but if one day EasyAntiCheat decides to ban people for changing those files then they can't do anything about it.
-
Because it's usually a waste of time unless you cleanse them all by yourself

Nobody’s whining. I’m just not going to ride the Devs like a lot of you do. He’s a hypocrite in his own statement.
EGC is to prevent hanging out after the match. The slow down is there to give survivors a chance for a save.
EGC is there to prevent HOSTAGE situations, it isn't there to stop survivors from saving each other.
People used to open the gates and then hide until the killer found them, which would take ages and it actually caused people to disconnect. This is what they mean by "hanging around".
-
EGC was only made to stop hostage situations, it wasn't meant to be a buff for killers (even though it is).
You guys really love to whine about everything don't you?
-
You can make a killer trash and they can still be unfun (like the old legion), so it's not all about how strong they are (unless you are a survivor that wants to escape every single match).
For example, I personally find billy to be very fun to go against, but find freddy to be boring. Freddy is absolutely fine in terms of power and he is weaker than billy but do I like going against him? Not really, because his power is not very unique and doesn't require much skill to use. Basically the opposite of billy.
-
This is not how you make a poll lol

Thanks for letting us know

@Aven_Fallen Just look at the facts. Following your logic, green and yellow ranked killers would have long queue times, because the SWF change brought an increased need of red and purple rank killers. But that is not the case. It doesn't matter whether you are a red or yellow killer, you will get your instant match.
And the change didn't happen suddenly. It was a constant development over several months.
I play on pc and I can say that the survivor queue times went from seconds to several minutes with the matchmaking changes. It was a pretty sudden change, it started happening the moment that patch came out.
It could be true that many killers stopped playing but the matchmaking/rank reset changes are definitely a big part of the problem.
-
Every killer is OP against trash survivors. Yesterday my "red rank" teammates lasted 15 seconds in every chase against leatherface. Ranks are absolutely meaningless so you can expect that sort of stuff in all ranks.
-
I think the oldest cosmetics should be a bit cheaper but the others can stay the same for now.
-
I like the idea of the new ruin but I don't think it's the right time for a change like this. At the very least, maps should have been adressed before a change like this could happen.
-
I don't think they are comparable at all.
Genrushing happens because survivors have nothing else to do, tunneling happens when the killer decides to chase the same person instead of others. It's the killer's decision to do that.
-
Did you rework Lery's because it was the doctor's map or because of other reasons?

What has actually happened this game-year looks very different from the Year-4 roadmap.
Matchmaking - Algorithm Improvements
lol
-
What would be the purpose of the perk with that change?
-
Hmmm... what if that perk was cleansed in the first 20 seconds?
-
His reveal mechanic is pretty broken but other than that I have no problems with him.

1? 1 bad update? There's been tons. Nurse? Oni? To name a few.
Having spoken to the devs directly, and told them about multiple bugs, namely the grab bug. They 100% do not listen/prioritize issues that don't involve survivors. Basement bug? Fixed in 2 days. Spirit/Wraith not having a lunge? No fix until mid-chapter. Wraith still can be infinitely stunned with flashlights, Clown is still a walking bug, gen times aren't addressed, feedback is constantly ignored.
They always drop the same excuses. "We're going to monitor it" Then Legion got hard nerfed, then nerfed multiple times after. "We're gonna keep an eye on it." Then survivors get sweeping buffs, and get extra bloodpoints on a perk after a killer gets hard nerfed again. They've pulled this bait and switch crap for years. Nurse was a HUGE red flag that finally woke people up.
"We're only addressing her addons, we're not touching base." "Btw, we nerfed her base." Followed by them being super snarky and insulting towards players upset about them lying about the changes and ignoring the feedback once again. Remember how much outrcry it took to remove red flash on stuns, despite hundreds of threads citing medical reasons as to why it should be removed? Yet their response was essentially, "Too bad, we like it, I don't see a problem and it helps new players."
I'll wait for a real shift before I give them any faith they've lost both from talking to them personally, reading what they've said on the forums, and how they've acted on streams.
Gamebreaking bugs should have the priority. Totally survivor bias right?
They also said multiple times that her basekit would have some changes and please show me where they insulted people.
-
Yes, it is becoming one of my favourite perks.
-
If I'm trying to get the killer's attention for some reason, then yes.

Probably coldwind or haddonfield

25% is too extreme. If you've ever experienced the old dying light penalty then you'd realize 25% is a lot worse than it sounds.
I don't think it's too extreme and this is coming from a survivor main. It's basically adding 20 seconds to gens until the killer gets their first down (or 2 minutes if they fail to do so). I would be against this with the old ruin but now I think it's fine.
-
They literally tested dc punishments a few weeks ago, they are not ignoring it.
-
They would probably end up nerfing him so please no
-
I would say make it 25% and the speed should return to normal after 2 minutes if the killer fails to down anyone.
-
As a survivor main, just cleanse the totem :)
-
Escape with the hatch with all 4 survivors at the same
The thing is, not all 4 of us escaped and I still got the achievement for some reason.
-
How do you know they are working for BHVR?
Sounds like a salty kid to me

@darktrix said:
Don't worry they got the solution - they'll hide the ranks, so you don't know they were reds.
They won't. That was only in the leaked patch notes, not the official one.
-
Matchmaking is pretty broken at the moment
-
I am also against the nerf but ruin is seriously almost a wasted perk slot against really good survivors and on top of that ,totem spawns and skill checks are RNG based. You had to be lucky to get some actual use out of it. I would have actually preferred it if ruin just made gens progress slower instead of relying on RNG based skill checks.
-
Something similar to identity V. Gens progress slower until the killer gets their first hook (it returns to normal after 2 minutes if the killer fails to hook anyone), along with nerfs to toolboxes.
Making some of the maps smaller and removing the god loops would also help a lot.
-
I don't know which region you are playing in but my red rank teammates go down in 15 seconds, they have no idea how to loop.
Looping is not that simple. You have to be efficient with your pallet drops. This is something that so many people still fail to do. If you keep wasting pallets you will create deadzones quickly. Running unsafe loops also requires a good amount of skill.
