Do you mean shock range? If so then he needs them at higher ranks..and that's something you need to feel out for yourself , you can challenge almost everything

Rank 1 atm. Some loops just seem to have a massive window box where the survivor will scream really far away but still vault.

  • Love how every word unde the sun is being used instead of the word camp.

    Defensive = campy

    Territorial = campy

Just say you camp with her and be done with it.

    Zzzz

  • @Eleghost said:

I don't really believe unbreakable or Dead hard are second chance perks. Borrowed time is more anti camp/tunnel perk and isn't too awful right now. Adrenaline is a bit of a iffy one as it only activates once all gens are done or hatch is closed and gives you exhausted if you didn't already have it. These perks are fine it become an issue when multiple people are running adrenaline in the same match which is frustrating to see everyone go from injured to healed.

The only real second chance perk survivors truly get is DS which i feel should deactivate if you get healed to full or do an action for x amount of time after being unhooked.

You don't think a perk that erases mistakes is a second chance perk?

You screw up your pathing? DH makes it to the window./ pallet

You make the wrong read at a loop? DH gets you to the pallet again

It is a second chance perk with uncounterable utility.

  • Toast is just hot stale bread.

when people say Ruin, Pop and Surge are killers second chance perks I want to do a spit take.

A second chance perk for killer would equal injuring a survivor if they whiff.

  • @GoodBoyKaru said:

There are four survivors in each match. It wouldn't kill you to chase another.

Survivors have unbreakable? Cool, make them waste it.

Survivors jump in a locker? Waste their DS then keep tunneling or wait it out.

It's really not that hard, chief. The only time it's an issue is endgame.

It actually does screw killers over if they 3 hook everyone. they should never reach 12 especially if the damage is evenly shared around since there is only 5 objectives for 4 survivors to do.

If you ever played killer against competent survivors you would know this.

  • Rank 20 hand holding.

Knockout needs to be deleted anyway because it does nothing to SWF and destroys solo players.

  • Not much you can do on ormond. There is a reason they picked that map.

  • People have asked multiple times for the devs to automate hook struggle, but the devs think pressing a button = engagement and people would get bored if they couldn't do anything while on the hook.

It would solve so many problems, but will never happen.

  • We are also forgetting that killers can get the same survivors multiple times a day. I don't know about you, but i don't change my perks (devour) and / or killer every game...

Survivors would remember you and instantly take out devour hope or counter your other perks like bamboozle without having to find out the hard way that you have it.

  • Why are you going near the hill when you know this glitch is a thing though?

I have not been stuck in it once because i just avoid that corner of the hill.

  • Cosmetic and art team is huge, balance team is only 2 people, and updates to game health are slow and small while cosmetics and dlc's are pumped out fast.

It is hard not to get the wrong idea.

Fast tweaks to perks outside of major updates are needed to keep up with them. They really need to spend more of the budget on more balance dev's and game health.

  • I just want her to have the cargo pants without the thong, instead of sweat pants -.-

  • They don't even listen to their own fog whisperers (cosmetic peddlers) so why would they?

The dev's think they are right and their ideas are the be all and end all, and nothing will change that.

Remember, clown has hidden potential that we just haven't discovered yet.

Killers should also be able to see survivors ping for the same reason.

No - killers usually just tunnel mori someone they don't like, and how do survivors "hold grudges" in game when they don't even know who they're facing, only killers can do this.

Already proven back in the day with mlga.

  • @Seanzu said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1578978#Comment_1578978

So - it's ok for killers to do this, but for survivors it's a big no?

But you don't get dodged all the time do you?

You must admit that the survivor main side of this community is far more, lets say... passionate. when it comes to holding a grudge for any reason under the ######### sun.

  • Survivors would add killers to their blocked list, look at the profile and just dodge them forever unless they follow the survivor rule book perfectly

AKA stand in a corner and do nothing or else.

You need to remember. These survivors are so passionate about getting things THEIR WAY that they went out and designed a program MLGA to do exactly this and it caused huge problems with nurse mains not getting games etc.

  • i goof around on doc with the biggest terror rad i can get

  • And while we are at it, put a swf indicator next to survivors so killers can dodge every single one of them to.

  • it didn't give me drop from a great height challenge when falling off the pier on swamp maps :|

  • Just did my daily scan of twitch and i saw every killer but Hillbilly being played.

SWFs who destory Killers (you know, those which are very, very rare or, according to Forum and Reddit Killers are in 99% of their matches) will probably also be able to do the same while playing Solo.

Solo players don't know where your traps are or where you are or instantly where your totem is because one guy saw it.

They also can't organize body blocks or flawless hook saves timed perfectly with adrenaline or know who does and does not have ds/bt

No matter how good you are, playing solo will cause you to make mistakes.

SWF killer did xyz traps are abc he is chasing me, he isn't chasing me, he went stealth towards x etc etc

Even worse is attempting to regress gens, you better believe if you chase someone off a gen and break it, one of his buddies will run over and tap/ finish it.

The dead zones are the absolute worst. That & how sometimes you blink directly onto someone and smack them and the game is like, 'no, no hit.'

Don't forget dead hard being meta means survivors are usually a 3 hit down most games. This means you need to guess correctly 3 times behind cover for every single hook.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

The best Plague players always run the Apple add-ons, so they'll have at least 3 Pools of Corruption. The meta nowadays is to cleanse because an entire team overcleasing makes her lose these extra fountains due to the reset. Survivors have also learned to dodge her Corrupt Purge (breaking LOS and hugging corners). I play a lot of Plague and I assure the hardest games are those when survivors cleanse all the time. A team who never cleanses is usually easily punished when I snowball with Corrupt Purge + Infectious Fright.

This, survivors literally control her power to the point they can remove it if they wish.

  • No. Nurse is not only fighting the survivors, but she is also fighting the way the game works with bugs and dead zones.

80 ping is not bad at all just saying.

Every time the game feels dodgy i check the survivors ping and it is 80+. 80 is clearly not fine.

  • Same thing next game. Delayed power getting in and out of it.

    Hooking a survivor is delayed

    Picking them up is delayed.

    phantom vile purges

    drinking from the fountain delayed.

I gave up using my power and just hit them....

pings were in the 90s and highest was 137

my ping 30... I thought this was not meant to be detrimental to killers with low ping?

Base Kit Billy was strong if you knew how to play Billy. Almost all of the Billy mains I knew didn't bother with addons as they were unneeded. It sounds more like to me you miss crack Billy and Instasaw Billy than balanced game play. Both of which were key factors in the rework. So its unlikely that they will bother with implementing the very thing they wished to remove.

The overheat mechanics seem more to affect new and bad Billys more than people who knew how to play him. The overheat mechanic is the negative to his base power of being both a movement speed and a instadown tool. So im not sure how you say its just a downside without a positive.

They nerfed his turn speed at the start of his charge making it a giant arc instead of a tight turn into the normal long arc i use to be able to 360 on the top of the hills, now i can't.

i swear the rev time takes longer as well.

Now I don’t play Billy, but I do play Nurse, so I can only assume that “give him the nurse treatment”, means that they made it so that you actually have to try, and be skilled with the killer to win games.

Billy is still good, people just get upset when their main killer doesn’t just equal free wins anymore, thus why nobody plays nurse anymore even though they are still one of the best killers in the game.

The opposition for best killer aren't exactly hard to beat.

  • @Zarathos said:

Billy just dosent keep up with competent survivors. Once you have the basics of looping down hes a very easy killer to overcome. Any nuances he had weere stripped away i.e. Craic billy.

In many ways he is inferior to killers like oni and spirit on account of playing loops in a predictible manner. I really struggle to pick billy over oni. He has only been the subject of nerfs minus some minor add on buffs that at best help gimmick builds or try to compensate what was already nerfed.

Then theres the fact that behaviour are threatening to push the overheat mechanic further in the patch notes. Who the hell wants to stick it out?

Writings on the wall billy is damaged goods and is marked as a nerf target why risk time investing in improving your billy play when a mechanic like overheat which is widely hated is being pushed and threatened by the dev team.

Give me a reason to be invested in billy some kind of value in the overheat mechanic that isnt just locking me out of using my power they could have the charge speed required to saw decrease the closer the saw is to overheating so players could tread a thin needle to get some fast saws that potentially risk locking you out of your power. Instead its a frustration mechanic plain and simple.

Nice idea for the overheat. the problem is that is a nice idea and clearly devs want Billy binned like many did to nurse.

  • @1anioh said:

I had 3 billy matches in a row. Followed by a huntress, a doctor, and another billy. I dont play a survivor often so my rank is only 17, but I had zero problems finding him lol.

I am in red ranks so that could be why i haven't had a single game against him.

I just realized this is exactly why they nerfed him. made the new potential store whales uninstall.

  • @BlackMercury said:

I still see him as survivor as much as I see other killers. What I see much less of is instasaw billies, which I am massively thankful for. Also I now play as him a bunch, didn't play him very often before but his touch up made me more interested in him and now he's one of my favourites.

He really wasn't harmed at all by his changes.

Even if you go for chainsaws at every single opportunity you're still not likely to overheat more than once a game, and when you do overheat it doesn't lose you the game or anything, you just do normal killer stuff for a few seconds and then back to sawing.

His addons never mattered very much. Billy's one of the killers that can reck shop with basekit, addons are just flair on top. He doesn't need any charge addons, backreving is still easy as ######### with or without them. But without them survivors can atleast know consistently what amount of time they have to juke, rather than having to guess or watch him chainsaw someone else first. The only other time you'd want charge addons is to offset the speed addons, but if you're using them for flicks around loops you can still control the survivor's position while you're charging up.

The worst thing about billy's changes is that he has several addons dedicated to mitigating his overheat, which is a no-factor to begin with. But everything about how he plays is exactly the same except instasaw which, no one wanted to keep except the billys who used it.

Survivors let you get close enough to back rev and still not reach a pallet?!

How can they be so bad?

  • New day and still no Billy twitchers to watch.

Exactly, I would like to know that, top. I guess he means ruin change which prevents the use of perks like pop, overcharge and brutal (on gen), thats the only removed "synergy" I can think of. But that change gave us the real potent synergy with surveillance! Hangmans was only "nerfed" after PTB, same as Gearhead, but that had nothing to do with synergies.

They are about to nerf surveillance so this won't work as well.

Stretched only lets you see more distance not more of the killer.

Ignoring what it does at loops, are you saying that you feel it is not cheating to see the killer approaching you from across the map removing the killers stealth, when normal resolution would hide the killer and allow them to get the drop on you and hit?

  • Broken on console, meh on pc.

So yes its add ons, I am currently working atm so not gonna dissect this but this may affect your feelings towards him but the general opinion seems to be he is in a more balanced spot, the overheat mechanism doesn’t do anything (which is flawed yes) but it does help a bit against face camping billys. The add ons tho imo are fun and unique now, before his add on pass you would just run insta saw/cooldown. Also saying they temporarily ruined engraving add ons prove nothing since ya know they are fixed now. Billy was not nerfed to the ground that is far from true.

    And yet his popularity nosedived?

The engravings are still nerfed just from the existence of the overheat mechanic. Having the extended charge time makes them pointless.

He is slow, his movement is janky and there is just to much crap and pallets on the map to ever get a chainsaw in now.

  • @Mikeasaurus said:

I saw Billy a few times after the change, but since then he seems to have vanished. Bubba seems to be the new choice, but even then, hes rare too, despite being an absolute beast now. I kinda miss Billy tbh, especially now he has silent chainsaws. That was a fun one to go against.

They made the add-on iridescent for no reason so now you hardly ever get it.

I guess the rank 20s sent some nasty emails to the 2 balance dev's and they bowed down.

  • I enjoyed him with double oils for an aggressive playstyle, he has nothing to speed him up now, in any way, what so ever.

You get to play stealth billy once in a blue moon thanks to them making it iridescent or....?

  • I just looked at the pictures and from that it looks like killers with a vpn are being told to ######### off.

    good

But what if the survivor has 300 ping and the killer has 20?

  • Looks like they can't make anything other than sweat pants.

That is my main problem with this as baggy cargo pants would have been awesome.

EDIT* even without the thong.. just want something different.
