This game need to have some buff and nerf weekly for it to be diferent because right now its always the same thing every game unless you get some troll
That requires money and effort.
changing numerical values takes 4 months and a ptb because they can't afford to pay real testers.

So, hang on. Let me get this straight. They have somewhere around 140 perks in the game that all have to be balanced, plus 21 killer powers as of The Blight, plus innumerable add-ons, plus on average six new perks being added in every three months along with new add-ons, and they have two friggin people on the balance team?
Is this for real? Because if so, I have minimal hope for crap ever truly getting adjusted on this game before it ages so much it loses most its playerbase.
I've seen some asinine resource management and allocation in game studios before, but this one might take the cake.
They put 90% of the budget into the cosmetics and marketing department. Balance and optimization don't generate fat stacks of cash.

I heard they are thinking about nerfing pop, is this true?

I have said it before but.. you do realize the most fun part of this game is a 1v1 right?
Then stop playing a 4v1 game and go find a game that is designed around 1v1

I have to admit that seeing the event cosmetics being given to everyone was really annoying. If that hadn't happened I would be less annoyed about legacy skins, but legacy was such a short time period. I got the game within a week of first hearing about it in late 2016 and was crushed when I learned that I missed out on even trying for legacy by a mere week or two. I honestly don't care at this point, I want to earn those skins, but I can't. I'll never cheat them because I like feeling like I earned things myself, but not being able to have them because of timing and then everyone gets event skins that they didn't participate in leaves me very dissatisfied.
I missed out on the 4th anniversary hat for claud and Ds.. how do you thin i feel?
I thought they said they would not make exclusives again.
-
Her crouch needs to be a press and hold. As you press the crouch button she will crouch down while still moving 115%, once fully crouched holding the button will enter stealth mode at 95% or what ever it is, or releasing the button instantly starts the dash with the roar/scream but no windup noise like it has now. This would at least help a little.
-
It is the easiest way to put a forced skill ceiling on killers and hold them back no matter the players skill.
-
SWF on coms telling each other where my totems are, where i am, what i am doing and where my traps are making the entire game a snooze fest because there is nothing to learn and nothing to do.
-
Practically no killers on console.
-
We need decisive strike or every killer would just tunnel off the hook.
Ds does need to prevent survivors from doing gens tho to make it fair.
On the plus side we have an entire killer that ignores ds if you can force a survivor through your judgment trail
-
But if you give up, that killers kill stats skyrocket and it will get them nerfed instead of having to learn.
It has been working so far.
-
If you know it is a thing, then why are you going near it?

Usually players complain about the "gen rush" at the start of the trial, when 1~2 gens can be popped before you even have your first down, so I assumed you were talking about that. Sorry if that's not the case.
Mid game when everyone starts to group up. Nothing will fix the start of the game without some forced mechanic being introduced.

Well then I guess we're completely different there. Yeah hag traps aren't actually that hard to see and I'm blind as a bat.
People don't complain about current nurse, no. And current nurse can still end the game in a matter of seconds. She's still incredibly strong.
Billy hasn't been gutted and I've seen plenty of them.
Because nobody plays them

It is worse for the killer if survivors do gens spread. Nothing in the world is worse than 4 survivors spawning separated and working on different generators. You take 20 seconds to find a survivor, 40 seconds to down him, 10 seconds to pick up, hook and shambala, 3 gens pop at the same time. Survivors who like doing generators together are easier to beat because it is easier to apply pressure (you'll always be chasing half of the team) and they are weaker to perks like Pop Goes the Weasel and Hex: Ruin.
If you're having trouble with early game pressure, try running Corrupt Intervention or Discordance. Also, as someone said above, it is ok to lose 1 or 2 gens at the start. It is with your first hook that you'll be able to start a cycle of pressure. Remember that survivors are way stronger than the killer at the beginning (all healthy, all able to do gens) and the killer becomes stronger and stronger the less gens are remaining (more injured/hooked/downed survivors, less gens to patrol)
Can you please point out where i ever mentioned the start of the game?

Hag has constant, consistent counterplay that's actually entertaining. Crouching, OoO, Flashlights to name a few, and she encourages a more cautious playstyle. That's why nobody comes for her, combine that with the difficulty she has actually being played to her maximum capabilities and yeah, people don't complain.
Like people don't complain about Billy. Or Nurse. Or Huntress (they complain about the servers). Or Oni. But they do about Slinger and Spirit. If we all wanted easy games why would we complain about Slinger, one of the weaker killers, and not anyone else?
She is also rarely ever seen. so nobody has a reason to complain.
Flashlight... seriously? just happen to have a flashlight and somehow see a brown trap on brown dirt during a chase?
People don't complain about nurse?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
She was the most bitched about killer for 3 years to the point streamers openly demanded their audience DC against her. Nobody complains about nurse now because NOBODY PLAYS HER.
Billy just got gutted and from what i have seen hardly anyone plays him either. I can count on one hand the amount of billys i saw while doing my rift tasks, and yes i am in red ranks.
Everyone complains about iri huntress, other than that you can waste a crap tone of her time as she is exceptionally map dependent and can't do much around tall loops if you play smart as survivor.
-
Yep! Every time i think something is off with the survivor i am chasing, i look at the ping and it is 80+ this is bs and i am sick of this.
Having low ping is bad in this game and it is pathetic that this is the case.

Whatever floats your boat man but if you think Nurse isn't the strongest killer in the game and can decimate teams in seconds then sorry you're just wrong lol
Hag is stronger than slinger people don't complain. You have to play around her differently too. Please just stop.
If hag was meta and showed up in 40% of peoples games then yeah they would be here crying to.

I think it's just cuz he's so good in chase if you're going up against a good death slinger. His power can just end chases in seconds if done right. And of your a God tier death slinger your basically never gonna loose a chase. But he has rubbish map pressure. Gens fly against him especially if survivors with half a brain spread out among gens. Therefore he isn't totally op. Survivors find not fun when they can't gain distance on a killer and beat the killer in chases. It's hard tho cuz without chase potential killers are just average or below which isn't good enough. Unless somthing big changes I don't see that changing anytime seen.
..
i hope he ends the chase in seconds, because minutes = GGEZ game over.

I think sets are mostly fine.
The only thing that bugs me (apart from the price) is when a certain piece of the outfit would've looked good/fine pairing it with other cosmetics. For example Jane's new hairstyle or the dress as a whole.
I wonder if we'll ever get sets that aren't completely linked (only 2 pieces linked)?
The idea of sets is that they are quick and cheap to make since there is no need to test for clipping. Interchangeable sets are a problem because the more they add the more they need to test each time getting more and more expensive (or limiting to save time) to make. You better believe if people keep supporting full sets that he ratio of sets vs mix will quickly sway towards sets.
I understand linked sets for things like Oni, but unless it is exceptionally elaborate or a one piece dress with no waist, i can't justify it being a set.

why does this matter when you lvl up at the speed of light anyway. if you just get the challenges done and play couple games a day you will easy get the pass done. ive bought no tiers and im tier 52 with 45+ days left before the rift goes away.
That is NOT a "couple" of games. i have all tasks completed and have been playing game after game of killer and am only lvl 42.

That the thing tho this is fun for the survivors most if any killer find the looping boring and anoying because if you need to follow the survivor until they make a mistake and you as a killer are allow to hit them ( ofcourse this is not apply if you play killer like hag etc). The reason huntress feel fair in 1v1 is because 1) she have limit ammo and she need to reaload very often in the game ( literally letting the survivors go for free) 2) because she is 110%.
If you try to apply all this to the other killers then you will destoy them because anlike huntress and DS the other killers don't have range attacks.
You may think it will make it worse if you make gens take more time but the truth is is the only way to have "fair" 1v1 ( in a game made for 1v4) without make all the killers leave the game for good.
You forgot to ad that tall structures counter her, New maps are being designed with more and more junk to line of sight her, old maps are getting more junk added to line of sight her.
In other words, you go down to a huntress when out of position or YOU as a survivor make the wrong read and get hit.

Honestly the bigger problem is when 4 survivors split up and work 4 different gens at the start. Im worried your solutiin would encourage that more
This is for mid/ end game when there is nothing left to split up on. Good teams already split up so nothing would change.

Agreed. The sad thing is that I still miss Plague, Oni and Legion, but decided to buy the Deathslinger because he looked interesting. Now I feel like an idiot.
You would have been so happy with Oni.
Plague is meh, she takes to long to get things rolling and she is tall af so has zero mind game potential at most loops.
-
No, but just like stretched res they can't check for it either.
-
AKA all killers must bow to the mighty pallet and be fully countered if i stand at x location or check the conveniently placed large gaps or window as i loop for the killers exact position.
-
@Blueberry said:
First step is shrinking most maps by at least 25%. Then get rid of all the loops that can be chained together abusively. Don't let the survivors spawn spread out and on top of gens.
That with the early game slow down mechanic they're adding should be enough.
I like the idea of it being the killers job to pressure gens to prevent them from going fast, but the issue is that the majority of maps are simply too large and too safe for most killers to be able to do that.
Bingo.
What early game slowdown mechanic? I don't think i have seen anything about it.
Will it be in the game by 2025?

It doesn't increase base time. It's effected by your status.
I like to keep my survivors injured tho :( giving them a reason to heal can be bad sometimes.
I always spread as much damage as i can and patrol gens that i notice being worked on, there just isn't enough time with walking killers on many of the maps.
-
@Tactless_Ninja said:
Make injured survivors have a natural gen repair debuff. Either work on gens with a debuff, or heal first to normalize times.
It rewards killers for spreading damage and contributes to their secondary objective, protecting gens.
Nah, i don't want to increase the base gen time. they just need to make the group repair part fair.

You want to change the time if more than one person is on the gen, therefore that is wanting to change how long it takes to do gens.
Do you read?
no the over all time is still 80 seconds, they just need to slightly adjust their internal numbers.
Oh man, don't get me started on gen pressure, back when i played OMEGA blink nurse it was so easy. i guess the survivors were just trash right?
I guess i can forget that there are more killers in this game outside of the only ones with some mobility and the queen of camping that needs to be deleted, Hag.

I do play killer but good job assuming wrong. Gen rushing has never been a problem for me because I play hag, spirit and legion. Killers who are good at map coverage and applying pressure. Sloppy butcher also helps slow down the game, especially with legions feral frenzy. If you're letting gens fly by, you are doing something wrong.
To complain about survivors doing their objective is just like survivors complaining about killers killing people. Its their objective. Killer entitlement is saying gens need to be harder and take longer but in honesty red rank killers tend not to have this issue.
I am not asking gens to take longer. They will still take 80 seconds each solo or less with toolboxes.
Do you read?

And no one can convince me dead hard is crutch
It is against nurse ๐
-
I changed the thermal paste on my base ps4 and it increased the fps.. still bad but not full slideshow territory any more.
-
I guess because the current meta perks can literally change the outcome of the match.
SWF on coms is a little to strong and is being ignored by the dev's for unknown reasons
They promised to make solo players stronger and all we got was kindred ignoring the fact SWF don't need to waste perk slots for this information, and are nerfing killers instead when they shouldn't be.
Gen speed needs to be looked at but they won't thanks to solo groups that they refuse to buff.
It all wraps up into a nice little ball of frustration and anger that turns to toxicity in time.
On the survivors side camping sucks, hag can be deleted from the game and i wouldn't shed a tear, spirit needs to make a sound when she phases so she can't just stand there leaving you clueless and yeah, that's about it.
-
@Sunri said:
They should add more side objectives to make game more complex and fun
What can they add that isn't just more m1? We already know from totems that anything that requires collecting before a gen can be done would be made easy and only a one time thing. The parts would probably be scattered around the gens themselves as there isn't many places to hide things.
-
@Elcopollo said:
"Genrush" is doing nothing but repairing generator. "Genrush" is ignoring your hooked and slugged teammates just to finish that juicy gen. "Genrush" is a scummy strategy on the level of tunneling. But most people don't use this term in this meaning, most people mix it up with survivors efficiently doing their objective.
Although doing something like increasing the timer might work for SWF (because everyone knows where everyone is, everyone knows what everyone does, not a single second is wasted), in solo queue it would become a nightmare. Would you personally want to waste almost 2 minutes of your time on a single gen, when you play alone and there's no one to help you?
Where did i say increase the base time?
I only want to lengthen the mid game when survivors start to double up on gens.

Here we go again - SWF was planned from the beginning. But the Devs only had time to put either KYF or SWF into the game on Release so they went for SWF. They said it during one of the early Livestreams.
It is simply wrong to think that Developers would plan a Multiplayer Onlinegame without the intention in mind to have friends play together.
Also, the feature was added shortly after the release, you dont create something like that in a few weeks from scratch.
But hey, try to de-justify SWF by repeating this over and over again that the Devs were not planning to include it, as wrong as it can be.
They also didn't expect the game to get so big so fast, they also changed sounds on the killer side and pretended it was a bug They also changed engravings without saying anything and only admitted to it when it was proven.
OoO
Knockout
bond
kindred
Why do these exist in a game planned around freely passing on information?
Why don't they have in game coms, even if it is only active when a group joins together?
Why don't we have quick chat for solo players with common phrases like "i will save" or "i am being / not being chased"
Because the game was designed with uncertainty being part of the balance. SWF with voip obliterates that.
