Yes, and before. You have to be extremely careful when going for even the smallest of lunges, or you might just do a 180 into the wall because they tapped A or S very slightly. It doesn't seem to happen against survivors with low ping, although that's not to say they cannot spin you like normal. And I also don't think anyone is doing it deliberately, I think it's just a minor issue with latency and aim dressing.

It doesn't help that they changed the way vaults work. I cannot count the number of times I have swing at a medium vault and somehow, magically hit the wall beside the window because of the way the hitbox is tracked inside your hit cone.

I forgot to add windows. It is even more infuriating when the survivor's bottom is still hanging out of the window but all you hear is chunk

  • Just you. I guess the people in your region like these killers?

As a red rank survivor i was getting a healthy variety of killers during the tome challenges. I think Oni was the most common with billy and nurse being the unicorns.

It's opinionated whether you like versing certain killers or not. Unless they're objectively broken like old legion, they don't really need changes unless a lot of the community complains about it. There are lots of people like me who enjoy versing slinger, and lots who obviously don't. He's a fun thrill to verse in my opinion.

A lot of people are just bandwagoning Scotts argument. He clearly states that it's his opinion in his video - which is fine. Its also fine to have the same opinion as him. But I refuse to believe that out of the blue all of these slinger haters have the EXACT same argument and all verse these "god" deathslingers, of which there are barely any.

Literally, I see people ask "why do you not like slinger?", and they just link Scotts video LMAO.

Ok, so, the only killer who even is slightly objectively broken is spirit, for obvious reasons, but the rest is just opinionated. I hate Myers and Pig but you don't see me asking for adjustments.

I just want spirit to scream or do something when she phases, i also don't like the passive phasing to much either as it is just dumb luck if she changes direction on a small loop as it happens for a free hit...

Genspeed isnt a problem. Killers who think they deserve to win every game are a problem. Also people who focus on the early game so much are a problem, it does not matter if the first Gens are done fast. This is the usual case, the first one or two Gens are fast, afterwards, the Killer should have some Pressure by having a Hook or two.

And those "Depip-Squads"-People...Yeah, whatever. Those are edge cases. Those dont really deserve much attention for 99,99% of the game most people play. Because the Majority of players on both sides are not that good, you dont need to be an exceptionally skilled Killer to win against Red Ranks and you dont need to be an exceptionally skilled Survivor to win against Red Rank Killers. DBD is an easy game, overall.

And well, regarding "Penalty for multiple people on a Gen"... It is already slower. Reducing the numbers even more will just result in Survivors definitely splitting up, which results in even faster Gens. If 2 Survivors on a Gen would take 65 seconds, there is no reason to be on a Gen with 2 people. So there would be more Survivors who do Gens alone, meaning that instead of 1 Gen being completed in 65 seconds there will be 2 Gens completed in around 80 Seconds.

The first 3 gens are practically guaranteed to go by your first hook (against good survivors) since the survivors have the loop path and pallet spawns available to them.

My suggestion is to help the middle part of the game where you are contending with 4 survivors doing 2 generators. Even if you do the right thing and don't tunnel vision and chase survivors off gens, the 47 seconds will destroy you as it can EASILY take 10 to 20 seconds to even start a chase if the survivors have ears and eyes.

It is to fast and a large cause of the frustration in this game.

They increased the time by a whopping 2 seconds!

Also not true I want interactive 1v1s like huntress and billy. You ignore my reasoning to strengthening your own argument.

Why are you mentioning billy? any 1v1 potential he had outside survivors being grossly out of position got removed. He is nothing but a loopable m1 killer now.

Um it doesn't match up because the killer is supposed to be a power role? if it were only 6 hooks then it would be easy to win as killer lol

    Should be, but are they...?

Map/Gen/Loop/etc rotations are part of outplaying too. If a killer is hard to outplay on the micro level, outplay them on the macro level.

Op doesn't care about the outcome, just their 1v1 enjoyment no matter how detrimental to the game it is.

It means if you cant outplay a killer theough your own skill die to a design flaw. And in your case I dont know how a group of good survivors let that happen but alright.

    And what is this skill?

Knowledge of where to stand at a loop to see every approach angle isn't skill so...?

    No I never said that.

You assume this potatoes to prove your arguement that makes it weaker when you say that.

Funny enough even ussylis 5k hour survivor main cant seem to run a deathsligner properly.

    And "properly" means?

  • and the biggest counterplay is to remember that this game is a 4v1, not a 1v1v1v1v1

You ignore most of my points when I gave a solid reason for that remark. It showcases slingers oppressive chase strength that's why.

And i just took down a 4 man while sitting at the hook because i couldn't be bothered. i guess i am a god now?

I don't need to watch highlights of potatoes being slaughtered.

The fact is he is slow with zero map pressure so will lose against equal opponents.

  • @azame said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1560931#Comment_1560931

Ok if you are gonna bring in the team arguement fine. For starters 1v1 chase is the most fun part of the game if a killer gives is so oppressive in chase you vant counter or even have any input to winning it's boring and a turn off. So you can leave that point alone its invali.

Ok so despite all these flaws you said why does zubatlel people who claim is one of the best say hes a top tier killer. Just go on youtube and find clips of him playing slinger and count how long those chases last.

Never said that but I also try to have fun. If the most fun part of the game isnt fun because of poor game design I rather not play.

Go watch X streamers highlights. why?

I don't think anybody actually runs Thrilling as a slowdown perk, people run it to see which gens are being worked on

  • @azame said:

Because unlike slinger they can react to huntress winding up also you refused to join me in a custom and show me the counterplay and also didnt give me a reason why.

Once again you can not counter something you cant react to. Also slinger is the only killer to zone just by existing how is that fair? Why does he have psychological effect on survivors that's so oppressive it's a turn off.

Because your team counters death slinger.

Are you going down to Ds in 5 seconds or what? A killer that moves at 110%, has a slow down from hitting you, and a slow down from reeling in his weapon and is weak to pallets and walls.

The game isn't about YOU what is the end result of the match?

  • @SleepyWillo said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1560863#Comment_1560863

You have one survivor downed and hooked and find the next.

That leaves 2 survivors - one to go unhook and one doing a gen.

You should never have all gens remaining - the best thing you can do is plan ahead and prepare for which gens youre willing to sacrifice so you can aim for a good 3-gen.

You make it seem like finding a survivor who is hidden with no indication of where they are is easy and not time consuming.

Meanwhile on planet earth, you waste 10 to 20 seconds walking to the survivors you did see with bbq while the hooked survivor is saved and they 2 man a gen in 47 seconds, you have a choice. go back to the hook and distract two survivors for a small amount of time or keep going to the survivor you saw with bbq. Either way you will lose 2 gens.

    Repeat this process every hook.

We are talking swf and good survivors here not brown ranks.

  • Because the game is a 1v1v1v1v1 not a 4v1. the end result of the match doesn't matter if YOU are dead right?

  • @BabyDweetMain said:

Gen rushing isn't a thing. That is a survivors only objective. Killers are supposed to stop that. Killers need some sort of pressure or else it'd be a cake walk. That's why there's perks and full on builds dedicated to stopping gen progression. If gen rushing is an issue for a killer than they need to run those perks and practice gen patrolling. Maybe pick a killer like legion who's good at stalling gens.

4 survivors 5 gens 1 killer 12 objectives. the math doesn't add up.

"Gen rush" is the term used to describe the fact that gens are just to fast to do. What else would you call it?

There are no slow down perks that don't require the killer to do something. This means the killer can only pressure a single generator at any point in the game if survivors are not urban evading in a corner because they heard a heart beat.

Pop, i need to reach the gen to do anything with it, something that 2 man gens prevent way to many times.

ruin, does nothing if you don't let go. The killer can't force 4 survivors off the gens at once can he?

Corrupt intervention can be completely ignored if survivors are not stupid (sadly they are)

Thrilling tremors requires the survivor to let go of the generator and is short.

Tana requires all survivors to be injured and is still negligible even during the rare moments it is at full strength.

Nothing forces the gens to slow down.

  • @kate_best_girl said:

I still think they should just increase gen times to 100 seconds cause even by yourself gen rushing is so prominent.

We know they won't do that so this is the next best thing. At least it would reward you for patrolling gens. You don't know how many times i will drop a chase to protect a discordance gen or see them with bbq, only for it to go off in my face because it is just to fast and travel time is to long.

  • Rank 20 survivors waa trapper killed me!!

Rank 1 survivors clicky clicky "walking the dog" GG EZ

Rank 20 killers or as i call them Daily task killers being played by survivor mains, Hue hue killer EZ why people complain?

Rank 1 killers Sweat Sweat Sweat Sweat and only play one of 3 killers to make a single mistake and lose anyway.

TLDR survivors complaining about killers are on the really low and boosted end of the spectrum while killers complaining about survivors are at the high end of the spectrum going against people that understand the mechanics of the game and use every advantage available.

  • I can deal with the changes to nurse if i have charge addons, but dead hard being meta turning every survivor into a 3 hit down killed her for me.

sometimes you diddle those settings to get some fps without having to make the game look like ass due tot he same lazy lack of visual options in game that they had four years ago. mainly so that you don't need to waste valuable time i match changing the resolutions cale for the poorly optimized maps like ormond and middlewich which can go from 60something to 70something % gpu usage to suddenly almost 50 fps in certain directions in halls in middle and at a few specific spots of ormond whichc ans crew your gameplay for both sides on those maps when it happens. I'm using a 2080 gpu btw, so no, it isn't my hardware also using a 2700x cpu.

You can't have 70% gpu usage and not be hitting the 60 fps cap (assuming you are using vsync) Your gpu still has 30% headroom and can only be limited by a terrible cpu. Running 4:3 will not fix this problem if you are cpu bound.

    I am running a 1st gen i7 860 and a gtx 1060 and sit around 80 fps.

  • Realize that you have already lost when the game starts and that it is the survivors game to lose. If they split up and hold m1 and you are just using a walking killer GG game over. If they do this with coms and organize hook saves, even bigger GG.

There is only 3 killers that can handle these groups, and even then you just make a single mistake and it is over

  • I have also had this. I assume it is to do with cross play because it only started after that was implemented. Check to see if the killer is on console next time it happens.

With BBQ and playing successful you can easily get more than 50k in one game, thats usually enough for one bloodweb. So it's more like once every 3 games on average. Why do you even want to play the same every match, esp. when it is a red addon with good reason? I see red addons as a mean to spicy up the game from time to time, not to play with it whenever possible. Also, if you complain that you can't play this addon bc it is iri, do you also complain you can't play inifinte EW3 Myers every game bc it is iri as well? Just being curious ...

Myers has other things that you can do with weaker addons, Billy has NOTHNG, unless you like to handicap yourself.

  • The only one that changes is nurse because she needed to be even more horrible to play i guess.

  • @CaulDrohn said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1558512#Comment_1558512

I think one red node is guaranteed in each blood web, so you would have a one in three chance to get it with each web. Also, due to the addon rework and changed rarity, older players will have many of those in their inventory. Not so for newer players, of course.

    meaning it is basically deleted.

Purple was bad enough but iri just means you get to play it once every 10 games if that.

  • They ruined stealth billy by making the addon iridescent. so it will hardly ever show up.

Then why not just run corrupt? It zones the survivor forcing them to come to you. If you need more pressure from slowdown perks, then you are most likely doing something wrong in the match. Even against most Swf, you can still beat them without the use of 2+ slowdowns. Not every swf is a seal team 6 on coms.

SWF just find a locker and wait out corrupt.

  • @PigMainClaudette said:

Yeah, it's a nightmare but ThEiR job Is To KiLl. People can easily pip without a single kill, but those 4 skulls at the end screen are apparently more important than actual fun.

What rank are you? red ranks can't pip if nobody dies and gens get done.

  • Don't do gens alone and get as many saves as you can with a decent chase here and there. Or just play killer for bp.

  • Seems a bit far fetched. I see plenty of "#########" and other derogatory comments when i play survivor or killer, but i can't say i have seen anyone ever type racial slurs yet.

  • Didn't they can one of these because twitch users complained that they couldn't moonwalk?

  • @[Deleted User] said:

How exactly do comms change any of those perks? Comms don't suddenly make people better at the game. Better players are more likely to play in a SWF because they don't want to deal with braindead teammates in solo queue, but it's not as if SWF turns players into omniscient gods. There's very little a good SWF does that 4 solo players with good game sense can't do. Half the time the only difference between a SWF and solo is actually doing gens. Solo players tend to be ridiculously inefficient with objectives. They'll spin in circles or crouch doing absolutely nothing for half a hook state instead of doing a gen or saving. That's just poor awareness, not comms.

    Easy.

Coms remove gen pressure from the killer because survivors on coms don't leave generators when people get hooked. They just call out who is going to save and possibly a rough direction that the killer went in and the other two just hold m1.

When you play against randoms, multiple survivors leave gens to get the save.

This is one small part that makes a world of difference to the killer winning or losing.

  • @PrettyFaceKate said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1555257#Comment_1555257

The devs really don't seem to care about doing that, though. Every time something has been brought up to give solos a little bit more of information that SWFs get for free, that never came to fruition. I think part of the problem is that the devs don't want to deal with the backlash.

Just look at the outrage that was caused by simply suggesting a totem counter. The issue is that in reality, most killers don't want to buff solos and killers accordingly. They want to nerf SWFs and buff killers.

I want solo players buffed and killers buffed to deal with the lack of uncertainty.

  • The fact a building is called "the house of pain" has not been looked into and changed is really bad.

One giant loop leading into windows with see through stairs and a god pallet, nah no problems here.

  • It doesn't matter how much they pay for internet if they live far away from the server. Also VPN is a thing and many killers do it even to their own country because it increases ping and makes things easier.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1554880#Comment_1554880

Why in the world do some people still care about pips? They've never been a good indicator of who won the match. You can have two literally identical matches with the exact same events and scores and time and outcome, etc, and the only difference is the ranks of the players in the match, but if you are high rank you lose a pip or don't gain a pip and if you are mid-rank you gain a pip. But obviously who "won" the matches in that case should be the same! They're an extremely inconsistent way to determine the winner of a match.

So pips are strictly for matchmaking purpose, and not even that once they eventually reintroduce the currently disabled new MMR system. I'll never understand the obsession some players have with pips and rank.

I have no idea, i myself want out of the red ranks because 4 man swf is boring AF to go against.

  • He probably only got a safety pip.

If a killer drops chases to "apply pressure" the game will punish them for it.

If survivors heal the killer is punished for it.

If you get down to one generator and he has only killed three, the game punished killer for it.

The killer emblem system is straight up dog ######### and needs a massive overhaul so it isn't so unfair.

  • I love this.

"He is killer biased and just complains all the time"

Meanwhile he plays r1 solo survivor and runs killers for minutes at a time with ease and pips practically every game.

I can imagine situations where survivors find your devour hope after you down someone with 3 stacks, then cleanse it, but surprise, you need to find it again. In that time you can probably get 5 stacks and start to mori.

This perk is exceptionally good for perks such as Devour Hope / Huntress's Lullaby when they're cleansed very early on, equipping this perk with a hex grants you immediate pressure, not just this but you don't need to worry about defending your hex totems, which is huge.

Ontop of this, it provides info where survivors are.

Cleansing it removes all tokens so you will start at 0 tokens on devour making it useless.

  • @UseTheValve said:

The 1v1 is important because it is t h.c e most fun part of the game a chase. Holding m1 is boring. I also never said nor implied I want an easily looped killer. Looping nurses is fun she isnt easy.

That's a strawman argument. Also when a killer has a chase power such as slinger it only encourages genrushing because chases will be short. This also is a double edged sword because then killers will go on the forums and moan about gen speed and swf so what is it?

Then we need a massive overhaul to the game where you can have your 1v1 and the generators are blocked for the duration of each chase.

  • If survivors are just skins as the devs keep saying, then they need to do away with the bloodweb per survivor and literally treat them as skins with a single perk pool and bloodweb.

Survivors that switch now keep the same perks and items.
