  • The pig needs predictability for killer in terms of her traps.

Played like 30 hrs max for survivor. played with friends. got to rank 5 somehow. There is no chance in hell I deserve to be here. I barely know how to do anything as survivor. I feel like i can't do anything for my team. Not sure how to address the issue. Maybe make more ranks or something.. cause the disparity in hours between me and someone who should actually be rank 5 is immense.

That's SWF for you. Play as a random player and you'll feel a huge difference.

  • Wraith. Just go afk all game

  • The aura in PTB looked a tad bit different and translucent. You should be able to see auras clearly after mid season patch possibly

  • I rhink the only issue consoles will have against PC players is when consoles play killer. I wouldn't be opposed to PC players not being able to see red glow of console killers. I'm not sure if it's even possible to hide red glow for them.

I guess I have to just drop the chase if they go to these places huh?

Not necessarily drop the chase but instead make the survivor drop the pallet instead. If you don't get it down early, then it'll be a pain later on in the game

  • The only rework that the devs will do is to add some sort of a cooldown to every perk in the game

I swear to god man, someone at BHVR is obsessed with cooldowns.

has anyone noticed this besides me? every other killer seems pretty consistent but with these two if im blinding them at a window or pallet or just in general i feel like its just not. I dont know if its the hitboxes or what but im wondering if im the only one.

I faced similar issues with hag. At first I thought it was because she is short. But then I had the same issue with spirit and then with demogorgon so it's probably not their height.

One common thing that these three killers have is that they use their weapon to break the pallet instead of their feet. Which is why they have different animation of breaking a pallet than most other killers. It might be possible that the devs haven't aligned the flashlight sensitive spot properly with their head hitbox which is why this difficulty arise. But then that's just my theory.

I've noticed this myself. At first I saw it on hag and I thought it was because she's short and was looking down. But I had the same issue with spirit and then with demogorgon.

The only common thing with all the three killers is that they use their weapons to break the pallet instead of their feet. Maybe that's why they have different flashlight sensitive position than all the other killers? Because the animation itself is different and the Dev's haven't adjusted the hitbox properly?

  • You barely get skillchecks when you use autodidact for some reason. You'll get the very first skill check almost always in every game as early as you could. Subsequent skill checks are very rare for some reason. I think it's because the game doesnt want you to use them

  • @PrettyFaceKate said:

Of course, everything I'm about to say is subject to how attentive the survivors are and how much distance they have on you.

If they're looping around the crane itself to use the vault, you want to chase them counter-clockwise, show your red light at the ramp and double back to meet them when they land. Depending on timing, you might get the hit or force the pallet. If you're close enough that you think you can get them before or during the vault, you want to give a quick glance to your left inside the crane cabin to check if they hid in the corner at the last moment to juke you. You can even do that while lunging.

For the other loops you should post screenshots, so it's clear exactly what spots you're referring to.

I believe he's talking about God pallets on maps like haddonfield basement and at the furnace at badham.

There's no choice but to brute force it. Unless you're nurse of course

  • @SonicOffline said:

Who said we need them, other than you? I really see no need to force extra races into the mix.

A lot of people will want their country or their race represented in a video game. It's not a bad thing. If anything, it makes the game more diverse

  • Spirit is the strongest. Don't waste 9k on survivors.

Is this from Tru3? As he has been saying the same thing.

I get where its coming from. It does defeat the purpose of EGC a little bit. Also it was a huge indirect nerf to Bloodwarden as everyone 99%s the gates now.

I feel like this would be really unfair for the last survivor left though. Also if you get a gate to 99 and the killer camps it, it will regress. There might be another player left who is just hiding in a bush, but of course in swf you could easily have someone else open the other exit gate. The gap between swf and solos seems to be growing rather than shrinking so im not sure giving them another advantage over solos is the answer

Im not sure. I usually come up with ideas on my own. He possibly had the same idea but I've never heard him talk about this.

Besides the point is to have survivors open the door all the way and trigger an endgame collapse on their own. I've always seen 99ing an exit door as a direct way to counter endgame collapse.

  • Maybe try to watch more videos of rank 1 players and how they play. Also if you play a lot of killers you can learn from the people who loop you.

A really solid advice is to just hold W whenever you can. Also don't stick to a single loop. Connect 2 or 3 loops together to waste more time. The idea is not to escape chase. It's to waste as much time as possible.

  • I dont think that ghostface is weak and requires rework. But I wouldn't be opposed to a rework for the sake of getting something new. Hopefully they don't release just a new survivor and map. That'll be boring

  • @CheyeneKL said:

I feel like 99% gates is a fair counter to some killer perks (Blood Warden, NOED [so you have time to search for the totem and possibly save teammates before EGC leaves you too little time]). If a killer has a particular problem with survivors taunting and just not leaving, he himself can open the gates. Same goes for activating Blood Warden and cutting off time for saves with NOED.

That also would be an unnecessary nerf to solo queue players- I'll 99% gates for the randoms on my team and then try to go to the other gate and do the same. That way, they have a better chance of getting out if they have trouble getting to the same gate that's already open or close to being opened.

Fair point. It's probably best left as it is now. Dont fix what isn't broken, am I right?

I would love bots, just so matches don't get ruined because someone got mad and left. Hell, it would be amazing if they were allowed in KYF so you could test out killers on bots instead of getting torn to shreds in a match just because you want to play a different killer

I agree. If you buy a new killer you will need some time to learn the controls and get a good grasp. Trying it on an SWF first game would definitely be annoying.

  • The issue with pig is how inconsistent and RNG reliant her traps are. One game you waste a lot of survivors time and in the other, you barely feel any difference. Pig definitely needs a rework or a good buff and an add-on pass.

  • Issue I have with DS is that the timer activates after they get off the hook. And even if I do not want to tunnel, I cannot help it if they wait for another survivor to go down before they save him. At that point it's not tunneling. I went after another survivor and downed and hooked him. I shouldn't be punished for survivors rescuing him late.

  • Training mode for PC would be fun if someone has a bad day or if someone wants to try out a new build before going online with it.

  • Game isn't balanced around voice comms. It's balanced around randoms who do not speak with each other. That's why we have kindred. SWF only makes it harder for killer and is definitely unfair.

Bruh removing her husk AND passive phasing is just rewording the fact that you want The Spirit to be completely neutered. That's literally her essence: mindgames.

Removing her husk doesn't mean she can no longer do mindgames. Let's just say there's someone on the other side of the pallet. Now if I use my power I disappear and the survivor might think I'm coming towards him but really I'm just standing there. Being able to perform mindgames WITHOUT actually using her power doesn't seem like a good design and even though it's fun for the killer, it's difficult for the survivor to face and he goes down for nothing.

And her passive phasing is unnecessary. No skill involved in that.

Maybe I misunderstood, but I have never used aimbot, people accused me of aimbotting when I'm just a decent huntress.

Maybe both of us got confused by the way I typed it.

Oh no I understand what you meant. It's just directed to the people who call huntress users as aimbots. Aimbots only make it worse for huntress.

But bruh.. its fun when you stand still and survivors come to you. Less work lololol

Ive had a survivor in killer shack vault windows and then slow vault back and then run to god pallet and drop it from inside and then slow vault into my arms. I was having some coffee while he did that.

  • Removing standing still mindgame would be a start. Her husk shouldn't be a thing. If she uses her power, she should disappear. Creates a different sort of mindgame. Also I would love to see her passive phasing gone.

  • I used to asume it was done to add skill cap to legion. He's a very simple killer to get injures with. The only thing that makes the difference is your M1 skills among others that every killer in the game shares. Which is why I don't like playing as legion.

  • @OldHunterLight said:

Aimbot huntress here, that is the only thing that people have accused me off.

Aimbot won't even work for huntress as well. The projectiles are not hit scan so its a great thing if you manage to win a game with aimbot on. It only deters you from predicting shots.

  • Go to steam library -> Right click on dead by daylight and then click on uninstall. You'll need it after you play a match with clown.

  • I remember seeing a clip where there was one killer playing against 9 survivors. That's the closest to battle royale we'll probably get.

    Can't do it now btw.

  • Ahh ok. I did it the other day. Splinters aren't working as they are supposed to. You get to play as long as you want until you dont switch killers

  • I dont see anything weird

  • Bots need to be more lively. Where's the t-bagging with object? Where's the tunneling with mori and camping with noed? Where's the trash talk at end game chat? Where's the 360s and pointing at killer?

    Very underwhelming.

  • The reason that clown is bad is because it encourages survivors to not be greedy with dropping pallets.

  • Next rework will probably be for huntress. Cooldown will be added in some way. She can't hold her hatchet up for long maybe?

  • @anarchy753 said:

I agree that it's overwhelmingly strong, especially because its only downside is negligible when you stack it with "faster stalk."

I think that it's fine when it's with his other ultra rare because it takes an oppressively long time to stalk, penalises your speed, and survivors can basically get the gens done before you pop, but its own innate downside is not strong enough to balance it.

Absolutely not. I believe the ultra rare addon increases required stalk by 200% and the faster stalk perk only increases stalk rate by 25%. Besides he loses early game pressure where 3 survivors will be able to work on gens. And if he reaches tier 3, just don't heal. It's a situation where the survivors are made to believe that this killer is weak in applying pressure whereas he's growing his power. If you don't heal you get more time on gens and since he's essentially an M1 killer (like legion, who isn't the strongest killer but can waste more time than myers with his deep wound) at that point, you'll be able to juke him and get gens done and escape. it's not strong at all.

  • Even though it's not perfect, the Devs definitely made this game better than before. The map rework surely fixed a lot in terms of God loops and pallet placements and I definitely felt it.

Besides the Devs said something about adding breakable walls to older maps along with the graphical update. They'll be looking into loop balance as well for all I know. So the balance will still change.

Too bad that would immediately make them a weak killer. Killers need power in chase or they are garbage in high ranks.

That's true actually. Demogorgon seemed like a killer who was balanced enough to have both map pressure and good chase potential but his portals need some help

To be fair, with perks like infectious freight, BBQ, whispers, nurses calling, I'm all Ears, all exists, I wouldn't be complaining about OoO.

Infectious only works when you down someone within your TR, BBQ only works when you hook someone and you can counter both of them as any survivor anytime you want. Nurses only work when you heal near the killer (directly controlled by survivors), whispers goes off if a survivor is within 32m and it doesn't say where. He could be in a locker or in any patch of grass and becomes useless after you hook someone.

Object is controlled by survivors and give exact information on killer whenever they want. Also remember, there are 4 survivors but only one killer. Very little the killer can do to counter that unless he plays one of the 3 killers who can do something about it.

Yes I have, typically the RB trap lasts 30 seconds and it's off and gens never stop. That's why pig is so bad right now.

Thats why I said 'better' pig. Someone who can waste time actively and in a predictable fashion but not passively where it is unnecessary to down someone to apply pressure.

  • @catbeans said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1452245#Comment_1452245

So a killer that cant kill but can keep gens from being done. Good idea. Cant wait for the 2 hour long standoffs. GG

    Have you heard of pig?

  • @Callmehandsome said:

OoO is one probably the most toxic and unfun perk there is in the whole game. It's far too strong with SWF groups on coms when they know your EXACT location at all times. This is specially crippling to trapping killers like trapper&hag.

I wonder what the intention was when they made object of obsession. It encourages tunneling for bad/new killers, it makes the survivor have a huge advantage in terms of positioning of the killer for a very low price and completely negates killers like Freddy, trapper and hag.

Is this perk supposed to work in a way where the user gets to start a chase with killer first? It doesn't do that so I'm not sure what's the idea here.

  • @SaltedSnow said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1452564#Comment_1452564

If you don't think that is extremely valuable then you're either bad at the game of play in a party most of the time.

I never said that it isn't valuable. I use that info all the time.

  • The only thing obsession gives other survivors is an indication that he's getting chased.

  • @nursewannabe said:

I always see a massive amount of objects in the first days after rank reset, then things tend to calm down. Two days ago I had 7 objects in one day, twice of which 2 in single matches. Kinda gets boring after a while tbh

I've had 2 objects in one game as well. Which makes me think whether anyone had gone against 4 objects and how it would feel.

  • I was thinking of a buff where if you get 3 stacks, you will not hear the skill check queue and if you get 5 stacks, survivors working on a generator become oblivious. Also you will only be notified that huntress lullaby is in effect after you get 3 stacks. Makes this perk more like devour hope but instead it's focused on generators than on survivors themselves.

  • It's unnecessary to attack someone who is just giving his thoughts. Just tell him why you feel it's a bad idea. Don't call them dumb or the post suck. He clearly put a lot of time into this.

  • Almost every other exhaustion perks give you more distance than dead hard.

  • The idea is for the perk to be anti-tunnel. These changes doesn't seem to address that.
