It is easier to rank up as survivor. Sitting in gens, saving teammates and healing will get you a pip. Doesn't require skill to do that. You don't even have to be good at looping. You can just get carried.
-
Usually the tome is released one day after mid season patch. So technically it should be today
-
It depends on which rank you are if you ask me. I get some good teammates who push gens quite hard. Sure, there are exceptions but overall I think solo queue isn't as bad at red ranks. Purple and green is where all hell breaks loose. Solo queue will be painful at these ranks.
-
New Matchmaking addresses this issue. Probably will be out today.

From what we saw of the ptb I think it's clear. His add-ons are now trash. That is beyond certain at this point. I'm pretty damn certain the power bar will make him tedious to play. I'd love to be wrong. But I've been burned by BHVR too many times to not be skeptical.
Add-ons are trash. Agreed. Can he even curve anymore?
-
We'll see how he plays out before we come to conclusions. They've changed a few things. Let's wait and test it ourselves.

I have played as him against red ranks. That’s why I said what said above.
And even if you think a killer isn’t strong enough to down someone quick. You should never not bring slow down perks like corrupt if you don’t feel confident with them.
I've had games where survivors spawn together and bunch up on a single gen which is closest to me and I've had games where survivors spawn seperately on 3 different gens.
Efficiency of corrupt isn't based on skill. It's based on luck which means it's unpredictable whether or not it'll help you at all.

It isn’t just simple math tho. It’s also making conscious decisions because if it was just simple math any survivor would finish the gen at it’s expected time without interruptions. Which was the case here, but it isn’t because of it being an inadequate speed, he overcommitted to that first survivor and the other survivors were split working on gens without a care in the world.
When you say “by the time he found another survivor...” that wouldn’t have taken time. They were on the gens he was originally going to in his initial path.
Which is what is weird to me. He is literally playing a killer who is brilliant at zoning people out but it looks to me like that Dwight zones HIM out. Sometimes I do that on purpose and killers catch on quick, and they leave (if they’ve been on a chase with me plenty). I just don’t wanna gen get what is adequate speed anymore. Would 4 mins a gen be acceptable? At some point you have to wonder if acceptable means “enough time to correct my mistakes”.
Pyramid head is not as strong as you think he is. Its easy to read him and double back and drop pallet on his head or if you judge his range you will know when you can vault a window and dodge a hit. If you play as him against red ranks you will realise that you cannot just zone them all the time. Holding W is a strong counter to him
Besides if he let the Dwight escape it's still 2 gens and possibly 3 and 3 people free to work on gens instead of 1 person if he's hooked, and no pressure whatsoever on survivors. I think he took the right choice. Maybe if the Dwight went past a survivor on a gen then it's good but then it's not upto the killer

I don't want to play against spirits, can I have a doge spirit button, I'm bad against them and find them hard to counter.
You realise how dumb that sounds right? That's literally you
You have no clue what you are talking about. Take two teams. Same meta perks, same rank but one solo and one SWF. You know who has a massive advantage? It's the friends in comms who get every information perk in the game passively.
Game is definitely balanced around randoms and just because you have trouble playing against killers with your SWF team doesn't mean they are weak. It means you're bad.
Survivor stats means nothing. Where's the DC count? Where's the count of how often people throw games as survivor? Where's the count of people running around with flashlights and trolling around with head on? Survivors can have fun but it shouldn't be at the expense of killers
Should SWF be removed? No. But it needs balance. Action debuff is a good way to go about it. You get advantages? You lose something in return.
-
Glitch. You won't be able to see their perks as well.
-
I'll speak to the devs and have you lead BHVR's balancing team
-
I agree. Variety to traps is something they can definitely look into. Remember Freddy's add-ons that let him use two different powers? Pig can have a similar choice as well.
Pig requires a rework anyway. Add-ons are really bad and really strong at the same time. Definitely needs help.

hmm seems like a bug to me (coming from someone who used to play Doctor before the devs tore out his organs and dissolved them, leaving only a husk and an atrocious version of the killer I'd originally paid for).
I think the current version of doctor is much better than how he was when he first came out

I'll miss having the occasional Billy match. It will be interesting to see how Leatherface turns out though.
For some reason I have not seen a single billy recently. It's always nurse, spirit, huntress and freddy
-
Bubba first. Use BBQ to get more BP and then use extra BP to upgrade plague quicker
-
The Devs are very careful and scared to make add-ons that spice things up for the killer. I mean look at all the latest add-ons and look at add-ons that came out a year or so before. Massive difference.
-
It's highly probable that we'll get bots and then eventually a training mode on PC

I like the Stake Out change. I think Lullaby might need a tweak, though, because survivors will notice you have it the second they get a skill check and the delay is too short regardless of whether they're cursed. I'd be fine with it starting off with no effect and all of a sudden making skill checks silent at 3 tokens, though. You could buff the missed skill check regression too to make it really scary.
I had a similar idea with huntress lullaby where it works like devour hope. 3 stacks gives no skill check sound and 5 stacks give oblivious status effect as long as they are working on a generator.
It's easier to get stacks with lullaby than with devour but devour us stronger than lullaby so it's fair.
-
I'm not really playing killer until they introduce MMR. It's annoying that I play low to mid tier killers and I still go against sweats all the time. And I get easier opponents when I play huntress or spirit.

The new graphics will make it worse for killers. Not to mention that the performance and FPS might drop for every player across the board, with consoles suffering tremendously from the new graphics.
Apparently balancing changes wrt loops comes with graphical updates.
-
Maybe a single graphically updated map next chapter to test performance? It's very possible
-
And if anyone was wondering, I caged her after I hooked the dwight.
-
Spirit is the best killer. She is the strongest killer because she is difficult to play against. She is difficult to play against which is why people think she is strong. What people think is true though. She is strong which is why everybody wants her to get nerfed. She is quite strong so she needs a nerf. People asking for nerfs means the killer is strong and strong killer is usually the best. So she is the best killer but sometimes she isn't. But overall she is the best killer because other killers need buff and not nerf. She needs nerf and not buff. So she is best killer.

I find Corrupt to be kinda overrated, I think alot of slowdown perks are better because perks like Surge, Pop etc will last the whole game but Corrupt lasts 2 minutes and then it's gone, from that point you're playing with 3 perks, I don't think that those 2 minutes of having 3 gens blocked is worth a perk slot because survivors can counter it quite easily by simply hiding near the blocked gens and waiting out Corrupt, and I can't just go to the blocked gens and look for them else that'll give time to survivors not hiding to do the unblocked gens. obv I can see how it's useful on Hag and Trapper since it gives them time to set up their Web without having to worry about the gens furthest from them, but personally I very rarely run Corrupt Intervention on anyone apart from those two. now try and explain to me why it's a good perk bc im getting into Deathslinger and alot of people seem to use Corrupt on him
Here's an example where corrupt would have made a massive difference.

I mean, you do get an achievement for it, so there's that.
You need that to brag on forums or people don't take you seriously lol.
-
Nurse and spirit definitely need nerfs or even reworks. People justify that nurse and spirit are required because of how fast gens go. The argument is valid and devs can possibly increase gen time by a little bit and nerf nurse and spirit at the same time so every killer is good enough.

Solo queue doesn't need much buffs, and I'm a solo queue main. All we need is more emotes to point out a killer is camping or something. You have perks like better together to help yourself in solo queue.
OP's idea is to technically nerf SWF by buffing both solos and killers. When killers get buffed, solos might need some help.

The only achievement is getting rank 1 as survivor. It proves that you are strong enough to put up with all the ######### your teammates do and still pip.
Killer is quite tough though unless you play a strong killer. I suggest you play a mid tier killer to feel the accomplishment.
-
Please go play killer at red ranks.
Remember that you are also justifying that gen speeds are fine based on what a content creator said. It's not your own opinion.

So the contest winners was selected a few days ago and i was luckily 3rd place, so thankyou to all the kind words and support on my guide it really did mean alot! but im a bit confused on hen i might get a message about receiving my reward as they said they would message shortly but im not really sure what that means so any info on that would really help! im only really asking as the new tome is round the corner and im curious if it will be before that or if ill need to invest in more auric cells for the time being. thanks for any info!
Pog. Congrats on the win man
-
It is difficult but not really an accomplishment. Whether you are rank 4 or rank 1 you pretty much go against the same level opponents unless matchmaking screws up.
-
Can't wait to talk ######### at my teammate who wasted the god pallet and took a hit still. Spicy.
-
They've said previously that we will not be able to play as vigo. But then it was a long time before.
-
I never slug for 4k. It's boring and wastes two other people's time. Might as well gamble than to get the 4k. But then slugging for 4k frequently makes the difference between merciless and ruthless
-
Oni is a solid killer. His ability should be stronger than Billy since he needs to charge his power. Besides he doesn't have map mobility on command like Billy but then when he is in demon form he's really scary which is a good thing.
-
I play both survivor and killer equally at red ranks and I can agree that gen speed is really fast. Here's what the devs should do. Nerf killers like nurse and spirit and increase time it takes to do gens so every killer has a chance.
-
SWF with voice comms does give a massive advantage and there's no question about it. It's just a mechanic that makes the game fun for 4 players at the expense of one.
-
You know what's annoying about DS? After you hook a survivor, even if you hook 2 more before he gets saved he gets a 60 second immunity.
Killers are punished for survivors getting an unhook late.
-
I agree that ash perks need to be looked into because he is not worth buying. People bought him when MoM was at its prime but not anymore.
Cheryl's perks however are really good. People just don't want to replace their BT and DS with any other perk and give them a try.
Repressed alliance is one of my favourite perks and soul guard is really good and can be meta. Blood pact is a niche perk though. Speed boost is only good when the killer is coming towards you and you finish healing.
-
Maybe 2-3 chapters at a time. They probably have the next chapter ready to go right now and might be playtesting it as we speak.
-
I agree that mashing mechanic needs to go. Skillcheck is a much better alternative and keeps the survivor engaged even while on a hook and eliminates cases where the survivor just kills themself.
-
Completely negated by SWFs but the idea is cool.
-
Didn't they say they'll be releasing new MM system during mid season patch?
-
Agreed. But traps really slow the game down. How slow depends on RNG
-
Early game definitely needs some help. If all survivors start separately with a gen in front of them, it's 3 gens down in one chase. Corrupt would have been golden there.
-
Didn't the game have terminator in it? Or am I wrong?
-
Too strong
-
Now wait till they introduce hit rollbacks.
-
More bugs is what you can expect.
