No, because it comes with the downside of no longer downing survivors. Regardless of whether or not you go through a pallet first.
I think they've changed the add-on to work differently now. It now functions as a regular chainsaw but if you go through a pallet and hit someone else within 5 seconds then it's not an insta down.
I dont think it's implemented yet. Only the descriptions were changed by accident. Also the other ultra rare add-on is buffed toi
-
Clown is only good when you use his best add-ons which slows down the survivor to a point that they can barely do anything about it. Besides that he's weak.
-
The 15 seconds that knockout is active you shouldn't be able to recover on your own. That makes sense and the perk becomes a bit more useful against unbreakable.
-
Is this the add-on that lets you run through a pallet? Isn't it good enough already?
-
Standing still shouldn't be a mindgame. She should disappear if she uses her power and we should be able to hear her phasing sound. This allows for a different mindgame where the spirit can use power and then stand still and hope survivor comes near her. At this point she would get the hit with the help of her power and not by just standing still.
-
Rage quit.
But seriously it's best if you ignore object user because for one, they are probably good at looping or have perks that help with looping and for the other, they have a massive headstart in chase so its a waste of your time.
-
Every killer should either have a tool to help in chase or a power that makes it so you can expend more time in chase with less consequence. I'm fine with gens getting worked on while on chase. But the free 8-12 seconds it takes for a killer to hook someone is annoying and I feel they don't deserve that time. Solo's never get the job done efficiently.

I don't even think a Nurse or Spirit could beat those toolboxes with BNPs. Three Prove Thyself and FOUR Streetwise on a Coldwind. Those gens never stood a chance
Like I said..very little you can do about it. If they have three PTs and 4 streetwise then it's likely a SWF. Remember that they wouldn't pip and there's nothing you can do to beat a SWF. Not with ghostface. Except maybe camp and tunnel and slug

i mean that stuff players fight about, if the game is sided for survivors or killers. sorry typed wrong
The ranking system is flawed. You can rank up as survivor without even having to go into a proper chase. It requires less skill. It's the truth. If you want something more challenging then play killer. Or deliberately get into chase as survivor to learn. Or watch youtube videos and that'll teach you alot

That's how 'tough and stressful' survivor is.

With Freddy, Clown, and new Doctor, Maybe Deathslinger too. the only way to loop them is to drop pallets early. Is new Bubba now one of them?
I have to say i hate this as 'strategy' to counter these killers, It is not fun to do as survivor or when you face it as the killer. The chases become boring because there is no skill and no mind games in it.
Also the problem with Bubba more than the others i mentioned that he destroy pallets so fast with really short cooldown. (like demogorgon used to be in ptb) It almost like he had (Spirit Fury+Enduring) build.
So drop the pallet = he after you immediately, dont drop the pallet = die. So maybe the need to reduse basekit charges from 3 to 2, Or add a bit longer cooldown after he destroy pallets with his chainsaw.
Doesnt his charges go to zero when he breaks the pallet?

Yeah I saw that Peanits mentioned that they were both finally on their "to do" list. But why did it have to take YEARS?
It probably was in the list for years eating dust. Only way to make them work on it is to have the dev squad get ebony moried 3 games in a row.
-
Survivors justify balance between both sides by saying "apply more pressure". It's such nonsense. There's very little you can do with mid tier killers and a M1 killer like ghostface unless the survivor makes mistake and they always look at applying pressure in terms of how much pressure a nurse or a spirit applies.
And then they wonder why they see nurse and spirits all the time and ask for a nerf
-
I feel Franklin's got a rework and not a nerf. Usually people who bring medkits have 16/32 charges and hitting them with Franklin's will reduce 10% previously which means they can heal one less time unless they hit greats.
Current system looks cool and hurts items like keys as well. Most satisfying thing is when someone bring a key with don't lose upon death & don't lose upon unlocking hatch addon and still lose the key for nothing.
-
The Devs said they have moris and keys in their list of thing that needs to get reworked.

So everyone says if theres a loop you can't beat as a certain killer (IE huntress at a long wall) you should just abandon chase and let the survivor go but I don't understand how that helps the killer at all? Like survivors can just run back to the loop whenever they want so how does abandoning chase help?
Your objective is to pressure gens first. If someone is in a loop far away from a gen better let him go and you go back to the gen. There is a chance you can find someone outpositioned there for a free injure or a down.

They both have very similar animations, and I have baited out many survivors by pretending to do one thing but actually doing another.
I think you're mistaken. You get no animation by filling the bar and holding LCtrl. If you wanted to bait you can just go in top of survivor and hold M2. Having a charge time before you cage them plays no role in baiting

Yet he nevers sees solo survivor problems and tries to make the solo survivor role like if it doesn't have any problem.
And yes gen speed and some maps are OP asf, but he talks about survivors players like if they're the worst thing in this world and if he can't catch a survivor on a loop he's cheating and using stretch res.
If he doesn't get a 4k it is a SWF team.
Like my god, that guy is just so anooying and biased!!!
And yes he has a unfair preference towards killer, if he really plays both sides, why he nevers talk about survivor problems? Oh, cause he's biased!
He talks about solo survivor problems a lot. His only issue is SWF. Every time he gets into a huge chase, not many gens get done or every survivor going for the hook and he speaks about the struggles of solo survivors and also say that SWF wouldn't have this issue.
-
Being able to tap and send survivors to the cage should be a thing. Saves 33% more time even though it's like 1 second, it makes a huge difference in chase. There are cases where you accidentally press space as well but still you tap space and pick them up and there have been no issues so far with that.
There is no baiting survivors by holding LCtrl. No animation happens while PH holds LCtrl. Might as well let you tap LCtrl. Much less clunky.
While you are at it, remove hitbox of the person going to the cage. More often, I'm forced to go sideways before I go front because the guy going to the cage is blocking me.
-
I dont personally think he is biased in any way. He plays both sides equally (I think he's rank 1 in both). So he knows which side is broken. People call him biased towards killer because he points out that killer is harder to play and win than survivor at his rank. I didn't believe him until I went and played at red ranks on both sides myself.
People would have started calling him survivor biased if killers were strong and easy to play. He rants about every problem in this game which just shows his passion for the game.

BBQ is overall better by a landslide, not even considering the bp boost, which is just a bonus.
It doesn't have a cooldown. If survivors try to hide from it, it has a comparable stalling effect as thrilling. It gives info outside of gens and even when gens are completed. The range limitation is unsubstantial, because if survivors are on nearby gens, your awareness is enough to notice it. You don't need Thrilling for that.
Thrilling doesn't block generators if survivors stay on it. If they're nearby, you can chase them away from a gen so you can block it. But at that point it's even debatable if it is a worthy play most of the time and if you should simply slug instead.
Freddy is the only one who can possibly get more value from Thrilling than BBQ.
Exactly what I was thinking. Besides freddy's bait only works the first time you use it.

I like the idea of MMR but if it resets monthly that kind of defeats the purpose imo. Does anyone know the answer to this since we can't see the MMR?
Does it? I think its just the ranks. But then they haven't spoken much about how MMR works in detail yet.

It was about the lack of QoL in 4.1.0 and that now (with the broken Auras) that we desperatly need QoL asap. For example new Hillbilly animations are giving motion sickness, lack of color blind support for auras, engravings nerf etc
Possibly a duplicate question then.

She has Tokens. She has to reload at Lockers.
Deathslinger is new and he also has no Cooldown because he has a Reload.
Billy had nothing, no Charges, no Power duration, no Cooldown and no Reload, so they added something to him.
Hmm..fair Point. But then I still think it'll be her. Very likely

Idk man..they are working on a lot. They are working on graphics update, on reworks, in new chapter, on cross play and progression and so much more that we don't know yet or I might have missed. I would say they are quite efficient in what they do.

You mean the impossible to see auras? Nice try. :)
I run thrilling a lot, with or without a slowdown perk, and that information has served me to maintain rank 1 on multiple killers, even ones considered weak, vs plenty of toxic squads.
Well, not the anti colorblind-friendly version. They will be adjusting it shortly. Based on what we've seen so far they are going for a transparent and a wireframe aura design.
My question is why do you think you wouldn't have done the same with BBQ?
-
@MrDardon said:
I would guess that Huntress will be the next Target since she doesn't follow the basic Add-On Rules. 1 red is missing and 1 purple and she has to many yellow Add-Ons.
Myers also needs 1 brown Add-On more because he has 6 yellows instead of 5.
Huntress is the most likely candidate. She doesn't have any cooldown which the devs of this game can no longer tolerate. They're gonna start their blog post with "We are happy with how huntress is performing which is why we have decided to nerf her".
Myers probably will get an add-on rework as well. But he has the most interesting addons out of any other killer

TT doesn’t have a range restriction. It can’t be disputed which survivors are on gens. Plus it has the added caveat of once survivors realise it’s in play, do they continue to give away their location on future downs, or do they let go of the gen on a down to sacrifice 16 seconds of repair time?
Range restriction is a good point.

@SweetTerror said:
BBQ gives you double bloodpoints which is always welcome, but thrilling is the better informational perk as it will always let you know which generators are being worked on. Because BBQ can be countered if survivors hide their auras behind the generator.
@SunderMun said:
Gives more info on generators; bbq doesn't always show survivors properly if they're on a generator, and you don't care about survivors that are running around the map doing nothing productive as a rule unless it's the last survivor; you want to pressure the generators that are being worked, and if you know a gen has been worked on and is nearly done, for example, you can scare them off it and pick a survivor up to buy you time to pop it since they can't work on it.
BBQ is good for points, nothing more. The aura is useful rarely, imo.
1. It's not possible to hide behind generator auras anymore with the new aura system. Even prior to this I was always able to see auras through gens. The intensity fades slightly when BBQ runs out which you can use to know where survivors are.
2. Thrilling has a cooldown. So you get less use off of it than from BBQ.
3. Even though you don't care about other survivors, it's always good to know where they are. Information is key and you can always ignore them and go for the people on gens.
4. Thrilling activates when you pick survivor up. You need to hook the survivor which takes some time. After you finish hooking, the information you have is not fresh. It's on average 8-12s old than what you get with BBQ and they could be anywhere at that point.
-
@hahadrillgobrrr said:
Info from thrilling is better than from BBQ. At least I see it that way. I can see what gens they are working on so I don't have to waste time patrolling gens to pop.
You can see what gens they are working on with BBQ as well. And you can see more than that. That's why I was confused why people go for thrilling
-
If game was balanced around red ranks, killers would be really strong at every other rank.
-
@Crowman said:
Sometimes it can be hard to notice survivor auras behind generators. Thrilling does let you know which gens are currently being working on to pressure by highlighting gens not being worked on.
That's a very minor advantage point over BBQ isn't it? And the new aura system kinda adds to it but then when it's fixed this advantage will disappear.
BBQ on the other hand can give you exact location of survivor even when they are healing or hiding and also gives you 100% more BP.
-
Is it a buff? The only thing that comes to my mind when someone says protection hit is mettle of man and how top tier that perk is.

I get this new ranking system is now implemented and rank doesn't mean jack diddly. But for the love of god why is everyone I face a peppegga who doesn't know their nose from their bum?
Like for real, I go into each match and it's like I'm playing against people who just bought the friggin game.
Is it that the new system just needs some time to put everyone in their respective "skill?" (We still don't know what the devs refer to as "skill." Could be teabagging for all I know.)
I can't enjoy a good match against some good players so that I can feel challenged and improve on whatever I haven't in the past for years.
Please, someone tell me this situation isn't permanent.
What killer are you playing as?

To be fair, the game is in a good state which prompt players to see even the minute issues with the game.

Hers Ambush Attack is completely counterable because of the audio warning (just run away from the loop).
Borrowed was changed to not be tied to TR so I don't know what you talking about here.
Traps are RNG but even with the worst set up (add-ons and bad luck) the Survivor has plenty of time to remove the trap (already tested, if you want I can search the vid).
She being a M1 Killer for the most part is precisely why she is so weak.
Not true. If you run a tampered timer and a jigsaw sketch you better pray to God you remove the trap by searching less than 5 jigsaw boxes because no matter whatever you do you won't be able to search all of them.
It's no longer about how much time is wasted, it's about whether if you will remove the trap without losing your life

The worst part about the pig is her RNG with traps. It's very inconsistent. But her crouch ability is quite good.
