So I've been playing with the new reworked leatherface for 2 days, and it feels I'm bumping into objects much more than I used to when I prestiged old bubba.
Even when turning corners of shack for example it seems I have a bigger hitbox larger than normal, and I'm constantly scared of bumping into objects with bubba.
Anyone confirming?
Realistic here means to align chainsaw hitbox with the animation.

Apparently MMR has been working in the background since the Killer Lock update. How much more time do they need? Majority of players MMR should have already been established, there should by no means ever be games were red ranks are going against new players.
Even though MMR was working in the background you still went against people with major differences in MMR because it was rank based previously. And when you lose to them you will have a massive drop in your MMR.
-
I think they've intentionally increased bubba's hitbox to make it realistic.

Okay, in the midst of all this MMR depression and general complaining, I feel like I should make my bias known:
I am a Killer main, but I HAVE played a fair bit of Survivor, so I understand a fair bit of both sides of the conflict that runs amok in this community.
That being said, lately I've been running a build I call "Fast Feet Wraith".
The premise is simple- Windstorm Blood and Windstorm White.
My current perk build is Dying Light, Furtive Chase, Discordance, and Pop Goes the Weasel, and this combination of perks and addons is actually terrifying for Survivors, since I can track their stacking, run over to them almost faster than Freddy using a teleport across the map, and rough them up.
The best part is that Survivors who go for the light burn get smacked anyway.
What do you guys think? Am I scum?
Just bring an ebony mori and it's chef's kiss

As you move forward you will experience two things
Survivor : Flashlight clicks, tbags and taunts.
Killer: Tunnel, camp and slug.

I'm not worried about facing different killers. I have only ever disconnected from a match once when I was newer and a killer trapped me in a corner and wouldn't down me or let me do anything. I feel bad running the new killers over. But that is no excuse to disconnect.
People disconnect all the time at green and purple ranks. I assumed you were a red rank and haven't seen a lot of people DC. I said not every game will be like the one you are used to.

I figured that, for my wraith and billy games, i don't play them much and just finishing up unlocking everything for my killers. But i switched to my nurse main and it was just as bad. I haven't had a single match where i wasn't stomping and had to hold back just so people had fun.
They said something about MMR being calculated on the background without using them to affect matchmaking.
Previously, matchmaking was based on ranks. But MMR wise, you and your opponents might be drastically different and say if you lose, you lose a lot of MMR and if you win, you get very less.
Even though you've played against people with ranks similar to yours, their MMR might be much lower and since MMR isn't a factor in matchmaking it will take longer before it gets stabilised.
-
MMR is introduced. So the killers you face might not be familiar to you anymore.
-
I use sprint burst, repressed alliance, windows of opportunity and a random 4th perk (calm spirit, empathy, deja vu etc).

Killer main, specifically nurse with 1k hours. I played a few matches as wraith and billy and got a bunch of rank 15-20s each time, all with <20 hours played. I thought, ok surely its because i don't play those killers often, so i hopped on my nurse main, i play a few games of nurse every day. I purple ranks this time, but everyone had less than 50 hours and got completely stomped. my games are far far far more chill than before, but in a negative way. If i tryhard they usually get maybe 1 gen done.
######### is going on?
Any killer you rarely play will have less MMR. So you get weak opponents until MMR takes you where you belong.

oh well just that? Thats not even a big deal. And just because of this little bug they disabled them entirely across the board? Seems like an overreaction to me
The issues with splinter is when you use them with a certain killer, it doesn't work. So when you quit/finish the game and return to lobby, you will have the splinter killer equipped as if you own them. You can level up and play with the killer as many times as you want until you decide to switch killers at which point you can no longer play the splinter killer without another killer.

Pig's biggest issue is her RNG with traps. Too good and too bad at the same time.

because legendary skins change the entire character. I'm sorry for the spoiler but I gotta explain it.
Alessa and Heather are the same person.
Spoiler! You just destroyed the hype I had for playing silent hill. It's all gone now.
Please buy me the Minotaur oni skin to cover the damages caused by your post.
-
You shouldn't have joined the lobby in the first place when your ping was 200+. Survivor games for me have only become better after introduction of dedicated servers
-
People are getting locked out from playing the game. It's worse than punishing people who quit mid game
-
If survivors call you a camper then you aren't.

Is that Boogeyman?

You tried it? 🤔

More slowdown perks only makes the game boring (holding M1 for longer) for survivors and makes killers even more perk reliant.
The devs expressed interest in a sort of early game warm up, making the early game signicificantly less stressful. Hopefully either that happens or survivors get secondary objectives.
I hope the objectives are primary because people don't really care about secondary objectives. It should be something mandatory and not something optional that gives you like bonus bp if you do it.
-
I dont really care who the killer is. I only watch their lore show after they are released.
-
When you place down a portal it'll be invisible to survivors. It'll only become active when you use it once. You only see killer instinct when it's open and survivors can interact with it when its open.
-
That explains why no one plays him.

Im just wondering a possible PTB date for chapter 17. Not cause I'm excited for the new killer and survivor but because I saw Cheryl is getting a new skin and I wanna see what it is
I doubt if PTB will come with Cheryl's new skin. It'll probably be only 'Too OP pls nerf' killer and unfinished survivor with familiar voice.

The corn is so annoying for killer.. especially for Huntress it's almost impossible to aim .. Wouldn't it be better to remove some of the corn on a few Coldwind Farm maps?
It's way too open. If they remove corn there'll be nothing. No cover. Just a huge deadzone.
But yeah..corn is annoying.

Speaking of Q&A's, when is the Q&A session for this patch?

When playing killer, I notice that a lot of survivors wait to use Sprint Burst until you're right on top of them (even if they're not repairing a gen and just walking around). Wouldn't it make more sense to just use it to run away and gain even more distance when you see the killer walking towards you? Or is there some strategy that I'm not aware of?
It depends on your position. Let's say if killer is coming towards you from 12' clock and you have to run towards 9' clock to get to a pallet. If you start running immediately then the killer might start to move diagonally to cut off some distance. Now if you let him come near you, you make the killer have to travel more to get to you.
-
Well, it takes time to log in to a different account every time. It'll definitely be annoying to do that multiple times just to play a game you raged on. What they're saying is highly likely to be a lie and they say it to annoy you.
-
It's too late though. They aren't gonna revert it now.
-
He's a pallet vaccum. Very difficult in maps with less windows

Think of it like this, Mori’s and Keys are REALLY hard to balance without making them really broken or really bad.
Some of the options I have seen for Mori’s on here are not good ideas, like the “Only usable on second hook” option as then hooking a survivor is more safe than using the mori.
Keys follow this too, as I really have not found a key idea that didn’t hurt the team incredibly because one got out.
Just like Freddy, these might be seeing some sort of Rework or like Bubba, some change that will ultimately make it healthier
Not true. You can still tunnel and kill the last survivor by ignoring DS. It just takes one more extra hook to do it now.
As for keys, keys are not only used for opening hatches. They can grant you wallhacks in a chase or other cool ability which make the key on par with other items like say, a map. Opening a hatch with a key is not a good design and is a free escape.

They do, its called bloodlust
You can't bloodlust and hit survivors every time..in jungle gyms and God pallets for example. Even regular loops can sometimes be infinites even with bloodlust.
By tool I meant a secondary power like doctor's shock or PH's PoTD. Something that lets the killer use their skill to get hits without always relying on bloodlust. Every M1 killer has bloodlust. Doesn't make them strong or not rely on survivors mistake.

Have the devs acknowledged the issue with this aura change? Rank 1 killer and survivor and this is terrible. If they have suggested changes, could some one point me to the post of when and where so that I can return to the game at that point and skip this ridiculous era.
Yes, they've acknowledged it.
-
My favorite perk for survivor is repressed alliance. Counters 2 of the most used gen defense perks in the game.
I usually am forced to play meta perks for killer to have a chance.

It's usable. You can get downed before it activates, and on the activation hit. It's perfectly fine as is.
The only thing MoM does is let you tank one extra hit. But you need to take 3 hits that you dont have to take if you don't run this perk. So I don't think it's worth running.

I'm not an oni main but I do think that blood orbs stay forever. I'm not sure about the despawning part.
When you go into power, survivors don't drop blood orbs. It's designed that way.

It was always the worst map in the game.

Just wait till hit rollback happens.

Depends on which killer you go against. If it's a trapper or a hag then it's a bad idea.

Just to make one thing clear, we already have zero tolerance for extreme insults (e.g. racism, homophobic slurs, telling people to kill themselves, etc.). These people do not get warnings, they are banned without any hesitation. We have always acted on these sorts of reports. The issue is more so that there is no feedback on the reporter's side when action is taken: You don't get a message in-game letting you know that someone you've reported was banned.
Odds are if you've reported someone for that sort of thing, they were most likely banned shortly after.
I've played different games (Rainbow six siege is one) where if you report someone and they get banned, you get an email saying that my report helped them get banned. Is it possible to implement something similar to that?

The only addon that makes it so he can is redheads pinky finger
No killer can stand a chance against rank 1/swf except maybe nurse and spirit and huntress to an extent

It works exactly how it does right now, but it's always lit. To counterbalance the ability to always see it, the speed buff is constant as long as it's active. This gives killers a boost early game while having insurance if it makes it to end game.
9 out of 10 times it'll be destroyed. But I understand what you're trying to do.

What rank survivor are you playing as? I do think the game is in a good state right now bar the few bugs that recently popped out.

Idk where they got that info, but you can watch tru3ta1ent's video that came out the other day to see that isn't how it works. I believe the video was called something about nerfing an overrated killer.
It isn't implemented yet
