  • I don't want to have an argument with him so I think is best to say everyone has different opinions, playstyles and prefers different killers.

    End of conversation.

I don't really see how you 2 are comparing Freddy and pig. Pig delays player escapes and is a mostly stealth killer, Freddy teleports around the map trying to dream world people. Not really similar to me,

I never compared Freddy to Pig he just started talking about Freddy for some weird reason when this discussion is about Leatherface or pig.

Why should i bother play with a killer, that is even at peak level not even close to freddy or others? Just let the best freddy player and the best pig player play 100 games and freddy will win more, it's easy as that. Until they don't rework her addons, i don't play her.

I don't play killer to win I play to have fun . This game is not only about winning or getting 4k's

edit: again I never ever said you should play pig..

How many games you win playing 50 hours of pig compared to 50 hours of freddy? Freddy just outperforms her in anyway, much much earlier and there is no fun for me if i constantly have to sweat my ass off to get a draw out of the game. Her perks are a joke. Her aura reading comes with a nerf, it's the same one that wraith has and he has no downsides. Her addons are just a joke.

wait wait wait?? I was talking only about pig not Freddy??

edit: I'm not saying she's better than Freddy or leatherface I only said she's not so bad and can be decent if her power is used properly...

  • @BaldursGate2 said:

Bubbas buff makes him much better, pig on the other hand is really really bad. Worst addons in the whole game in my opinion.

You clearly never seen an actual good gameplay of pig... The brown addons are the best on pig and they are easy to get. If you master her dash in a chase then you'll see how good her power actually is . Not the best but if you know how to play her you'll definetely have a fun game.

Sam would def be best, but I doubt they would ever get license, imo, but the chapter/pack could be full native american inspired stuff and that would be 10/10 good stuff.

I was suggesting Sam bc she wasn't part of the prank and well, she was a good character overall. She's pretty much invincible in game and can only die at the end . She's a fan favourite so yeah.. :) I guess if they don't get a license for her they can only introduce a chapter including only the killer like how they did with Ghostface or Leatherface.

  • New Leatherface is pretty great but if it was me I would buy Pig bc she's pretty great in a chase with her dash if you know how to use it but requires time to master it and seems fun, though Leatherface has BBQ and Chilli and if you don't have the perk it'll be a great idea to get him.

I guess new Leatherface is better than Pig but It is your choice... :)

  • @LSerpentine said:

Okay, so this dragging into the fact that one of the first horror games I played was until dawn. So what if we got a windigo? They'd have perks mostly to do with hearing, increased movement etc.

It would also be a way to maybe add in some Native American characters for the players who want that to happen without it being like "heres a random character, enjoy!" But more to do with the lore and actual culture behind it.

    Thoughts?

I had the same Idea!!! Wendigo as a killer would be cool and Sam is probably the best Idea as a survivor.

  • Because sometimes it's not just holding M1 and you have fun ,also finding a server as killer takes so long so yeah..

  • Aww , that's wholesome. I love having a killer that is memeing around (or teammate/survivor). It's always fun trying new builds and just playing for fun. :)

i like that a d long lasting debuff would be nice, there'd need to be something on the map to remove the debuff though to balance it out, maybe holy water or a cross.

And yeah while crow transformation isnt traditionally a vampire abililty, i thought itd better fit the game snd would stick out less than bats

Yeah the debuff can probably work like 2 minutes or more with addons or can work like Plague so you can get rid of it by cleansing at a fountain. Though Plague gets advantage by survivor cleansing so idk. If we are choosing something like holy water then this debuff has to be strong or decent bc otherwise survivors are simply not gonna care about it and it'll work like thanatophobia . The killer should be able to bite the survivor after they get downed maybe cuz if it works after they are hooked it's probably not gonna slow down much.

  • Such a good Idea!!! I think maybe the vampire can turn into a crow and the crow is screaming ,making noise (not so loud) like normal crows when aproaching so survivors can sometimes tell if he is coming like Pig has her loud breathing, Ghostface his footsteps or jacket sounds . And for second ability after drinking blood maybe the survivors should get slowed down when doing gens, healing etc. and maybe even be oblivious for a few seconds-minutes ( that could be an addon) We can say that the survivors feel dazed ? (Maybe a new effect like Oblivious status effect, endurance or something from BT)

I know this has been asked loads before, but seriously. If the devs dont want to display mmr (for whatever reason) why dont they hide ranks? Even if the mmr system is working as intended, and we're getting matched with other people around our mmr, people will still see the rank disparities and think the matchmaking is trash.

Why not hide rank completely or just show MMR to solve this? its just strange having 2 rank systems in the game, and to make it even weirder, the actual rank system is hidden whilst the false/old rank system is shown.

    WHAT? literally makes 0 sense

"Even if the mmr system is working as intended.." and the rest , The MMR system IS working nothing as intended. Atleast rank matchmaking was better than how it is now.

for people that say "Ranks don't mean anything" I mean alteast before the number 1 complain was not mmr and you didn't get matched with rank 20s all day. And some ranks ( 13+ ) can definetely determine the skill of the player.

Probably not the point of your post but the new update has ruined my experience...

Lery's. Indoor maps are pretty good in general for me, but it's pretty comfy and killers that annoy me do poorly on it while killers I like a lot excel on it.

I've seen a really great tutorial on the Lery's map and I honestly don't hate it anymore. I saw the structure ,the placement of rooms and descovered a lot of loops that can be used really well if you are smart , same with the Game map.

  • I think it's a glitch you can do in the store and I don't think it looks good because it's incomplete. I mean atleast it looks like it. Probably bc it's a linked cosmetic and you're supposed to wear it all toghether. I guess it's just me.

  • I agree and I hope they will fix it . I have been playing a lot of survivor and it seems pretty decent sometimes but then I get a rank 20-13 killer when I am rank 1 and I am about almost 1k hours and I probably ruin their experience..

  • That is the problem with the new matchmaking update...If you main survivor you should try playing killer and try to get people with not so many hours in the game so you can pratice , watch tutorials if you want to be experienced and I suggest taking a break from this game ( I've also took a break because of this new update). I guess they are still working on it to make it better since they get so many complains so maybe you might enjoy the game after if they ever fix it .

  • Not necessarily

I believe I'm on about 23 right now, about halfway to 24. Hopefully I'll be able to finish it since college starts soon and I'll be playing significantly less.

That's a lot , how many hours have you been playing per day ? I play from 3 to 5 .

  • For killer I main Huntress. She was kinda my main a longggg time ago and then I switched to someone else but then I mained her again. Idk I got better with snipes she's fun to play without IRI head and for survivor I main Nea <3 . NeaMainHugeBrain

  • I like the older ones better, I didn't play killer yet but considering how dark and hard it is to see on some maps it is definitely awful.

  • I mean the demogorgon's mori is pretty cool anyway but for example making the head come off would probably make the game blocked in some countries so they can't go super far with some moris.

well in my situatons, the only times DH works is for distance to reach a vault or a pallet, but those times youre in a deadzone and I deadhard as they hit, I get exhausted for 1 sec and then the debuff disappears as if I never got exhausted in the first place. so I dont do it to late, it feels like its too early.

Looks like my comment after I edited it dissapeared for some weird reason but I was saying that if they lunge and you dead hard early (kind of in the same time they start lunging) and the killer is right on your tail is probably going to hit and I feel like the perk is kinda buggy so I prefer SB better.

Ok so you get exhausted for 1 second and then it disappears on the ground or not? I mean if you dead hard early and they lunge it's probably going to hit you but anyway DH still needs a fix.

  • She's so cute especially in that outfit! She's a cute little muffin ^_^

  • If you dead hard to late there is a really huge chance you will get exhausted on the ground. It's not supposed to be a thing I guess It's just that the perk needs to be fixed.

And you should use dh while you are looping a killer to reach the pallet rather than trying to not get hit when the killer is right behind you because most of the time is not going to save your life.

Also some killers wait for dead hard so in case you have to use it because the killer is right on your tail you have time it perfectly or else you are going to get hit.

  • In my opinion the perk is good as it is

  • It would be cool but it'll probably work for non-licensed killers only.

Low rank Killer is pretty easy, not gonna lie... but high rank Killer (purple/red) can be pretty stressful. Unless you play Spirit or Nurse, you basically have to run perks like Corrupt Intervention, Ruin and PGTW to keep gens from popping left and right... meanwhile, I run goofy perk builds and non-meta perks with no items whatsoever as a red rank Survivor, with easy escapes... Lol

To say that Killer (against Survivors who at least know how to run around an obstacle, drop a pallet and hold M1 on a gen) is less stressful than Survivor is wild... I definitely sweat more as a red rank Killer than I do as a red rank Survivor... literally... 😓

I agree with you. I'm huntress main and it can be very stressful playing at red/purple ranks

“The most efficient way to play her is injure first, then phase into an easy down.”

Yes, you’re exactly right. And this is why the best way to play against Spirits is to play safe. She’s a 110% killer and if she doesn’t want to use her power to chase you uninjured, you can loop her for a long time. Play early game like she’s Oni and deny her blood.

    Agreed.

It seems to me you havn’t quite mastered her. I’ll break it down.

Killer side: You don’t need Stridor to win, even with survivors using Iron Will.

Survivor Side: You don’t need Iron Will to win, even with the killer using Stridor.

Phase time has a reasonable cooldown, she can’t phase anytime she wants. Regardless of perks, she has to be fairly close to you to hear you.

    Counterplay?

-All killer location info perks, Fixated.

-Walk when you don’t have to run

    -Stop going obvious routes

Your suggested changes are not terrible, but without adding a base speed boost to phasing, Spirit could only use this as a way to approach areas semi-stealthy. While not totally relegated to nothingness, phasing would become weaker than The Pig’s crouch. We’d just make her another 115% no power killer. Why? Because people don’t know how to use her or how to counter her? Bad reason, this is a moment for learning, not a moment for nerfing.

I don't play spirit as much because I don't enjoy playing her that much anymore so of course I'm not as good as I was back when I used to play her a lot. I also took some massive breaks from the game.

These were some suggestions not necessarily going to be in the game so that's why I was asking for people's opinions and I am open to them :) . I agree with you , the reason I was talking about perks for countering or guaranteeing a win as the killer was probably because I don't play against spirit too much so I don't have a lot of chances to get better against her.

  • Probably when I got matched with people from rank 15-20 and I was playing huntress.

  • @IMhereRUN said:

If we added these changes, we would have to tremendously increase here base phase speed so Spirit would even have a reason to use it. And if we do that...now she’s just Nurse 2.0...no thanks.

The killer is already fun on both sides. The only ones complaining about not being fun, are the one-trick pony survivors that have no idea how to counter any killer that cannot be mindlessly looped. Along with Spirit, this can be said for DS, Nurse, PH.

Nothing needs nerfed. DS probably needs a buff. But more importantly, survivors need to learn to adjust their playstyle...you can’t counterplay all killers by doing the same thing you’ve done since 2016, use your brains!

Not really... I mean maybe a litte bit faster but I was thinking that these changes would not be so bad considering the fact that you have to use a perk ( Iron will) to counter her.. Against a good spirit even Iron will it's not gonna do anything and you will die guaranteed.

I play both sides and playing Spirit with Stridor is also a thing and is impossible to win against a decent spirit with that perk even when you're playing with Iron will. Maybe if you are a really good survivor you may escape.

And DS is good as it is

  • @Tactless_Ninja said:

She already has an add-on where she can see bloodtrails.

Just remove sound while phasing and she'll be golden.

Agreed, but my point is that the addon should be changed in something else and I was thinking adding bloodtrails to her power would make up for the huge gap of not being able to hear the survivor.
