Survivors appear as yellow auras to other survivors, so why not Killers?

It's not that seeing red isn't terribly difficult, but when a survivor's red aura is next to a red generator, sometimes it can be a little hard to make out with perks like BBQ. Seeing a yellow blip would stand out a whole lot more then something of similar color.

  • It's for balancing.

  • For BBQ its designed to make it so survivors can hide behind generators.

I believe the devs themselves said that in the past as an intended way of countering BBQ's reveal.

  • The aura in PTB looked a tad bit different and translucent. You should be able to see auras clearly after mid season patch possibly

Then maybe include an option to change the color of the auras? I'm sure it would be a welcome change for those that have color blindness.

If it was done intentionally then it would make sense for the colors to be so identical.

That's not a bad idea. Allow players to set their own auras. But then, this is BHVR. They aren't known for doing that kinda stuff. Just look at our lack of actual graphic settings.

  • Well, there are a lot of different aura readings, and some perks like Trail of Torment have a yellow aura, same with Better Together or Bond/Empathy. There's always going to be colour issues, but that's also part of the risk of these perks.
