so wait, look at these scores, you play like scum purely to milk some reactions out of survivors (for whatever probably sad reason) then come here acting all mr innocent?

idk man, I would seriously consider taking a look at yourself.

Like I said in the post, the survivors rushed hook one after with bright suits. I know the whole "what else was I supposed to do? Stand in a corner and ignore the survivor?" meme, but literally that was the only option I had for the game to not turn out the way it did. If someone literally runs past you to the point where you can hear her breathing, would you not stop them? She could've at least played smart and waited for me to pick up the survivor and walk away before running to the hook that was like 12 meters from me right after I downed someone, especially when Im a Bubba.

  • @MikaKim said:

    1k to 3k survivor scores.

You camped and tunneled, then come here to whine about about how people don't like camping and tunneling.

    Next.

Or they simply rushed hook against a Bubba and died immediately. Sorry that your favorite side is in the wrong here, but nothing excuses what they said. I have thick enough skin to not take it personally, but I can imagine they say this to others over the drop of a hat which needs to be stopped.

  • @Mandy said:

For the whole "die" comment yes you can most certainly report that - it needs to be done in game though, as I am sure you can imagine screenshots can be manipulated but chat logs cannot be and when you report in game, these are then logged. Plus we need to ensure the match took place and that the right people are getting punished.

As for the comments on your Steam profile, that would be something to take up with Steam - we do not take action on something that is outside of the game.

Thank you! I made sure to thoroughly report them for everything they said, but I wasn't sure if there were other steps I could take. Thanks again.

Remove campers and tunnelers and you reduce 95% of the toxicity. So easy

I did neither of those things, so thats 3 people who jumped to death threats and homophobic remarks for simply losing. Some people are just toxic to be toxic. Like I said in my post, it could just be a bad day for them(not everyone's holidays time is magical) mixed with a bad game which made what I posted above.

Just play some killer, or figure out which times of day make queueing for survivor faster

killer "guttings" like billys nerf just draw away the fun high level killers which means you get more 20 minute queues into spirit or freddy

The reason queues are bad is because half of the killers have problems right now. No one wants to touch that right now

  • @RoboMojo said:

If I'm not mistaken, most people would be totally happy with a 3K. Besides, does it matter if that last person gets out? NO, you still won by that point. Slugging for the 4K is understandable if you're going for the Adept but otherwise, it's just extremely sweaty and unnecessary.

Thats like saying survivors who open exit gates and leave are sweaty and unnecessary. If you completed all the gens, shouldn't you be happy with that and just let the killer kill you? Anything you can say to defend opening the gates after completing the gens can also be used to defend slugging for the 4k.

  • "Just because you don't see him at Rank 17" "You're a fake Nurse player, you're a fake killer main. Stop disguising yourself as a "Nurse Main" to try and get her nerfed."

Yeah I'd say that's verbally attacking someone. Went 0 to 100 over an opposite opinion over the killer you main lmao

Aside from not fixing Nurse bugs, from nerfing her, adding a Cooldown bar no one asked for...the guy is asking for more Nurse nerfs.

    It's pretty offensive.

Literally every killer in the game has bugs, so that's hardly worth bringing up lmao. Its not deep enough to legitimately attack this man for no reason.

I'm a Nurse main myself, but I'm not the only killer playing killer in my region.

How often do you go against the same survivors? I'm in Los Angeles, so the answer is almost never.

EVER. So yeah, 1 out of 100 Matches.

And no, she doesn't need a nerf after they remade her addons into meme addons and gave her a cooldown bar.

You're a fake Nurse player, you're a fake killer main. Stop disguising yourself as a "Nurse Main" to try and get her nerfed.

    Jesus Christ, they're evolving..........

Yikes, what did that man do to you? That's two unnecessary aggressive comments made for no other reason than just simply having a different opinion than you.

Not at all you just avoid it, it's called "going round" or "leaving distance" between you and the survivor and most Normal killers do that. If you get hit everytime as a killer I feel bad for you.

Body blocking the pallet as wraith is smart. Smart killers win games. What's not clicking?

  • Entitlement is rampant in this community, especially in the survivor side like you mentioned. Nothing is ever their fault and all games should go exactly how they want to and the other side must only use perks that they're okay with(non meta perks). There's really nothing anyone can do about toxicity since we can't do anything about their low self esteem issues.

  • @cluedup_survivor1988 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1791427#Comment_1791427

Right so running to a pallet to use on the wraith while he is invis and he purposely gets in my way to block it is not toxic? Body blocking is reportable and what's acceptable to you doesn't mean it's not acceptable in general. He ignored a hit to block me then hit me, it's a scummy tactic.

"C'mon bro, why are you not letting me pallet stun you? Im entitled to run to a pallet and stun you without you trying to intercept me." I love the forums sometimes

  • I tried playing them, but everyone is just jumping into lockers and avoiding interacting with the killer at all. It's impossible to play them without survivors playing in a very boring way.

  • I didn't. Twins are not worth the money or effort to level up. New survivor perks are meh, but I love how high quality she looks compared to Claudette. It's still crazy to me how the devs can just not at all think about what would happen if you jumped into a locker against Victor. Like did that not cross anyones mind at all during development?

  • Because a lot of survivors hate doing bones despite there being 4 of them to do a total of 5 bones. I run Detectives Hunch and just that perk alone saves us from that combo and NOED.

  • We've been through all this already with Any Means Necessary. People claimed it was going to be broken yet I have probably only seen it 5 times since it came out.

  • I mean, it depends on your other perks... which are?

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1702645#Comment_1702645

Gonna just repeat MY old arguments for this, but I've done 4 WITHOUT these perks or items, still made all the saves and died in 1 hook and ONE HIT because NoED.

The OP also said that the "do bones" argument is not realistic as we, as solo players, have as many things to do and contend with as the killer. Bones are a priority, but so's keeping alive the other 3 meatsacks that we have to call teammates so we can DO said bones.

Equipping perks is also unrealistic as we only have 4 perk slots. And, well, they're usually taken by perks more necessary for immediate survival. I never run Adrenaline because of the fact that endgame is a maybe.

And Avis, it does reward bad killers. As much as it does bad survivors, if not more. It is a perk that says "You're doing badly and losing, here's Exposed. The strongest status in the game. I'll even hide it for you too!" and that's just wrong. Devour Hope is the ONLY other perk to do so, but you have to earn that.

I wouldn't call that an argument. You can claim any perk is OP by giving a specific enough example. NOED is extremely easy to stop by a halfway decent survivor. Finishing 5 bones before the end of the game doesn't take up that much time.

Don't solo queue then if you're struggling. There's an overwhelming amount of resources to help find other people to play with online. There are perks that do well against solo queue and there are perks that work well against squads, its just how the game works.

A team of survivors have 16 perks, a killer only has 4. A killer with NOED only has 3 throughout the game and can get denied the 4th if a single survivor brings Detectives. The build I'd recommend for you is DS, BT, Inner Strength and Detectives if its that much of a problem.

"You're doing badly and losing, here's *insert benefit*" is a pretty moot point since that describes numerous perks in the game, especially on the survivor side.

  • Decrease in fatigue time for every survivor hit. You should get rewarded for hitting multiple survivors. .4 seconds taken off per survivor would be decent for base. Add ons can increase the amount taken off, for example:

Julies Mix Tape: Adds .1 seconds to each removed fatigue cooldown.

Joeys Mix Tape: Adds .15 seconds to each removed fatigue cooldown.

Cold Dirt: Adds .2 seconds to each removed fatigue cooldown.

Fuming Mix Tape: Decreases removed fatigue per chain hit by .3 seconds. Increase Legions base speed by 5% per survivor hit with Feral Frenzy up to 4 times.

No, he didn't mention anything about a second survivor. "Killers have to be mindful anytime someone goes down too quickly after an unhook" i.e. I can't put this survivor back on the hook after downing them 10 seconds after their last hook.

"He's one of the better players" is extremely debatable. This community might be a little better if people didn't praise streamers and their opinions.

Looks like someone has never had a monumental landslide and got DSed by someone who got unhooked before you hooked 2 other people. You don't have to have tunnel vision on a survivor to get hit by DS, I can't believe its almost 2021 and people still have this mindset.

Dead Hard barely works 25%of the time. You typically end up exhausted and on the ground. Its only reliable for getting a few yards in a chase. And after using it once as a killer you literally just bait it and then down them.

SB is better as it gives you more distance and more consistency.

You completely missed his point. Using Dead Hard to extend loops when you get mind gamed is whats over powered. Waiting it out doesn't mean anything and if you end up on the ground exhausted then you're using it wrong.

  • @mintchapstick said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1624026#Comment_1624026

Lol what are you talking about? If you got DSed it means you tunneled off hook--so three seconds or not, you're probably going to continue to tunnel. Even regular DS only sort of buys a little bit of time in that situation unless it's end-game and you're next to a gate.

I grabbed someone greeding a gen earlier that was fully healed across the map from someone I recently hooked and apparently she had a 59 second DS. But nah, I guess I just tunneled.

  • Only if the team was obnoxious

  • @GodDamn_Angela said:

The Wraith. I am terribad at playing against him. Don;t know why and I don't seem to be getting any better.

Freddy gets an honorable mention because I literally have no idea what to do against Forever Freddy.

Also The Doctor. The Doctor is the reason I run Calm Spirit on one of my main Survivors, Nancy. I hate screaming and whenever I go against one with Nancy I basically can do whatever I want.

Have you tried using Spine Chill? Its very good for every stealth killer.

  • The Legion are about mid tier. Injuring multiple people in a span of a few seconds, having constant pressure, and uncounterable tracking is very underrated.

  • Because everyones friends are out of school, work, or whatever else so they swf up together. I just typically switch roles for whatever time of the day it is. No real solution to this problem since its a player base thing.

Good job disregarding the fact that only 10% of people this person faced ran DS + Unbreakable, if you downed someone who you think had DS there'd be a 1 in 10 chance they have UB too, that's miniscule and once again, killers using a "what-if" scenario to try and get perks nerfed.

Dang I must need glasses because yet again I cant see where I said It happens more than 10% of the time, nor can I see where I said it should be nerfed. The 1/10 chance of them having both perks is pretty flawed since only survivors who have either perk would make a bold play like that. Killers who see survivors making dumb plays right after they got off hook have to leave them slugged, like getting unhooked and running to another hooked person or jumping on a gen next to the killer, thus making value out of DS by even existing in the game. Some survivors don't even need to bring unbreakable because they rely on the killer just picking them up and having them "tunnel". This happens quite often.

  • Usually its a low self esteem issue. Those many survivors and few killers who go out of their way to be toxic probably have problems at home and see this game as a way to take out their anger. I don't think anyone who has anything going for them in life would bully or trash talk others on a video game.

  • @Seanzu said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1595921#Comment_1595921

Sorry that perks scare you this much, the op said only 40 survivors ran unbreakable + ds together. So 10%, a tiny amount, and survivors do gens in killers faces regardless of if ds is active or not, and killers slug and survivors use UB regardless of if DS is in use, just killers trying to make things seem like buggers problems than they actually are.

Hmmm I've been looking through my comment wondering where it was when I said these perks scared me yet I can't find it. Strange. And no, survivors who actually want to win the game wont do gens right in front of the killers face for no reason.

  • @Seanzu said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1594290#Comment_1594290

The perk doesn't do anything unless it's used, sorry that killers who tunnel are too scared to pick up survivors because of an icon but that's on them

Well when killers walk to a gen and see a survivor working on it in their face, they know 100% they have it and they just have to slug them and let them Unbreakable in 10 seconds and make the killer role a joke. They just don't want to tunnel, bro.

And they nerfed Ruin for being overused. Lmao.

Yeah the Ruin nerf is necessary in THIS gamestate. It was nerfed too early. The period of time from the Ruin nerf to the mid chapter that removed most infinites and tweaked coop gen times are what I refer to as, the "dark times".

The dark times were a period of time where survivors definitely ruled the game with an iron fist, and the only killers who could compete were Nurse, Billy, Spirit and Freddy. Now with the removal of infinites and the increased viability of new killers, the game is now, in a semibalanced and fair state.

Ruin got nerfed because it destroyed new players and veteran players just simply hit the easy skill checks. Yes, I wish they waited to nerf it, but I'm glad they forced me to break the habit of relying on it and making me a much better killer.

  • @Almo said:

I think you're forgetting the "Self Care's performance with regard to Survivor outcomes is quite good, actually" part. I can't find any evidence that SC players are in fact worse than players who don't run it.

I'm not saying more people should run it. I'm just saying that it's an unfounded prejudice to assume that a player with SC is bad.

Of course there's no real evidence to prove it, but whenever I'm with a team that isn't doing gens or against a team who does the same, It's usually because they're self caring in a corner of the map through sloppy. The main problem is people don't know how to use it properly or use it too much when its more beneficial to work through gens. It just seems a lot of people have the same experience which draws the stereotype.

  • "This is why survivors are toxic and bm and do other things to upset killers." Im sorry for being harsh, but this probably one of the most idiotic mindsets in this community. The PH you played against could've played against a bunch of jerk survivors and maybe he said the same thing you did. Its just an endless circle of toxicity to which no one wins in the end.

  • @sad_killer_main said:

Tbh I didn't expect them to do something about the blight power.

They just created a cheap killer. I'm disappointed about this killer.

But well, after a great killer like PH, I guess they needed to do something awful.

PH is pretty awful design wise.

  • No. I don't really think any perk in the game is toxic by just being used. NOED is just annoying at times, but there's a lot of perks on both sides that are like that. Survivors will complain about crutch perks yet most of the time have DH, DS, and Unbreakable so I wouldn't really let that bother you.

  • @EuphoricBliss35 said:

    "Its for inspiration"

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/141914/rules-conditions-in-game-cosmetic-contest-2020

"The 3D adaptation of the winner’s submission by BHVR as an official in-game very rare cosmetic."

That tells me that, when I submit my design, the prize I expect to receive when I win is an exact copy, and not just "any cosmetic" that used my design as inspiration.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1571338#Comment_1571338

The skin sucks because it's completely different to what was promised because BHVR somehow deemed it as offensive.

Lots of quotations but very little counter arguments. The contest itself says the art is an inspiration for the skin. Inspiration =/= Exact copy. Id read more carefully before you tag 3 people in one post.

  • Legion. Chaining people with frenzy is so satisfying and makes me feel the more powerful than any other killer. Clown is a close second.

  • You dont really have to "play well" to out gen a killer. Holding M1 when the killer isn't chasing you isn't hard. Also DS has been criticized/mocked by many fog whisperers and streamers because of how poorly designed it is and it has yet to receive a rework. Even Peanits said he liked the idea of it deactivating when the survivor progresses the game in any way. At this point I've given up in hoping it'll be changed into an actual anti tunneling perk.

  • Like someone else said, its for inspiration, not an exact copy. Has the Legion skin been shown/leaked yet? If so, is there a link?

  • @Moundshroud said:

    Perk: Cross Country

You are a long distance runner. Unlike Meg, who is a sprinter, you train for endurance and controlled bursts of speed. Pushing the Action Trigger while running will increase speed to 115% for up to 3/5/7 seconds (based on the level of the Perk). The Exhaustion status will trigger afterwards and last for 60/45/30 seconds after (based on the level of the Perk).

This would actually be meta and ran over Dead Hard.

  • Im genuinely impressed survivors can deal with these new queues and play all day. My patience couldn't deal with that after a few games. I wish more people played killer so groups of friends don't have to wait 15 minutes every game.

  • @Nickeh said:

I mean just look at the new killer's perks, you're ######### if you work on a totem and you're ######### if you work on a gen. Gg ez, hope you're on comms.

The new perks are about average at best. Undying is good, it has great hex protection but hex perks have been in need of a small buff since they're very inconsistent. The one where the pallets get blocked sounds good, but you usually want the pallet AND the hit, plus its a hex with a effect that doesn't make up for it so its probably not meta. The gen tapping perk is pretty good, but in no way is it a game changing perk on the level of the high meta Killer and Survivor perks.

They are really bad on big maps.No mobility!!!They are great in 1v1 but vary little map pressure.

The killer interaction is the only fun part about survivor. If a good PH or Deathslinger get into a 1v1 situation with you then you cant really counter them and if you're across the map holding M1, is that really fun? Its not usually about winning the game, its about how fun the interaction is. This is also why people hate Legion and Spirit.

  • @sulaiman said:

Explain how it wastes time plz, because that is nonsense.

It takes way too long to heal compared to a medkit or someone else healing you. It has its moments, but all that time being spent in the corner of the map can be used in better ways. Its also bad because of how common Sloppy Butcher is.

  • @Boss said:

They don't believe that it's a broken Perk.

I don't think they're responding to them cause they already did, explaining why they disagree.

  • Thrilling Tremors, Surge, Dying Light, and Bamboozle. Add ons are Cold Dirt and Joeys Mixtape. The add ons make this cool down much faster and can catch a lot of people off guard. The other 4 perks are standard Legion stuff but are all passive so you can continue pressuring survivors. I use this build whenever I want to use the cool down add ons and I've never lost.

Why? Killers aren’t entitled to a 4K even if 3 survivors are dead, same applies to survivors if they complete all gens, they aren’t exactly entitled to escape. The game is never over for both sides.

Because it would get abused by groups. "Hey dude, i found hatch! Suicide!" Then boom, outplayed.
