The counter is paying attention and not mindlessly holding m1. No wonder you think its uncounterable <3

It does. DH is only overpowered against M1 killers. But against Anti-loop killers is not. So deleting the perk without doing something about those killers in chase IS unfair.

To make everyone happy not just one side.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2952393#Comment_2952393
You also can win against 4 DHs. But still people wanted to be nerf because it is not fun/skillful perk to face. The same feeling to survivors when they play against those type of killers.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2952400#Comment_2952400
It is not about the strength of the perks. But this is the players natural in this fourms. Nerf something and they will go hunt the next.
DH is insane against every killer in the game that is an insta down killer. And even then, if you're injured already from the unhook then you just become a survivor who has two health states against an insta down killer. Its good in every game and against every killer.

Just give it time. Suddenly, a lot of people will find Sprint Burst "uncounterable", "game breaking", "ruins my experience", "it has made killer unplayable".
Sprint burst has been in the game since launch. Hardly anyone cares about it. This fragile, cherry picked argument is just a deflection because DH is almost everything you just mentioned.
-
Joey needs more skins. He has the best looking ones imo.
-
That's completely fine. I absolutely hate every killer you just mentioned, especially Nemesis. Both DH and Nemesis completely negate game skill and they're extremely boring to go up against.
Also I dont ever see killers complain about sprint burst. Its way easier to manage than DH since theres actual counterplay to sprint burst.
-
Incredible video. Seriously, great work. Ill also say that I got significantly better at survivor when I stopped using dead hard 2 years ago. I didn't want to use it after I got better because it would just rob any sense of accomplishment I would get from outplaying the killer.
-
I hate to say it because of your pfp, but I got extremely bored of Nemesis after maining him for awhile. Every chase was the same: Survivor makes it to a pallet, pull out your tentacle, you hit them with it if they drop the pallet, you put it away if they keep running and you M1. Rinse and repeat until you eventually chew through every pallet and kill them. Extremely boring to play and play against.
-
The 4 DHs and the Midwich offering hurts my soul
-
Dead Hard nerf. Removing perk tiers is a close second.
-
Clown got reworked to be an overall worse killer because of his exhaustion add on being removed. While Spirit got nerfed, she's still a top 4 killer.
-
I was thinking of a "winded" status affect that's a bit different from exhaustion.
You become winded after using DH and you can't drop pallets or vault windows for 5 seconds. You can still dodge important attacks from Legion, Oni, Nurse, and Spirit, or make it past a killer for any reason, but you cant just press E and make it to the god window/vault for free.
-
They could definitely get away with lowering the mend timer, although people would just mend immediately then Legion would just get frenzy downs more often.

Killers just love complaining at the forums when they can't get kills, instead of finding a good setup that works for their personal play style.
I've faced killers that have made the matches so hopeless that I've ended up just standing there.
Faced a doctor who stacked up gen regression perks and brought an offering to The Game. After he got his first down, the game was over. Generators automatically exploded. He did his AoE shock in the middle of the map which reached everywhere. This forced everyone off the generators, which were then blocked by the entity while regressing automatically. Don't know exactly what perk combination he used but it bought him more time than Dead Hard times 5
Big difference between dead hard and your Doctor example is that dead hard is just a single perk that a survivor can bring alongside 3 other perks and the Doctor match has almost every single thing going towards the same thing. He has to pick a specific killer, a specific map offering, specific add ons, and specific perks to make it work. The survivor just brings dead hard and you just gain a third health state for free that can completely remove any skill from a chase.

Sprint Burst, it is already the better Perk.
DH is only a problem in the hand of good Survivors. And good Survivors will also manage to use Sprint Burst in a very efficient way. Once DH is nerfed (which will happen), we will see a lot of Killers complain about Sprint Burst. Obviously, because it is the next thing on the list, but also because they realize that it is far more annoying if you dont even get into a Chase in the first place because the Survivor uses Sprint Burst without any danger at any point.
DH is not really difficult to use. Just press E to get to the pallet or vault and extend the chase.
-
Balanced Landing is good against Legion. Using it out of high vaults in the house and immediately run alongside the house. You can gain a lot of distance because Legion launches forward quite a bit when vaulting in high places

Still not enough second chances eh?
If there was counterplay to a survivor farming you off hook without BT and the killer immediately downing you then I'd agree. However, reworked DS has so many restrictions that you can't even progress the game without deactivating the perk, which is a great thing, but the gameplay that follows hitting the DS tends to be extremely boring.
But Dead Hard can just go get deleted from the game.

"The killers who play normally and hook one after another"
You get to decide what's normal for Killers, right?
Perhaps "non-toxic" would be a better phrase.

Laziness

The biggest problem is how popular it has become to just camp the first survivor to death and sacrifice the game just for a single kill or two. Its insanely boring. IMO they should raise the amount of time each hook state lasts or make DS activate twice.
-
I wouldn't say "tunnel", but Ill definitely favor chasing a console over a PC if I need to gain momentum. No offense to console players, I used to play console before I built my PC, but the weak link(s) on any solo queue team will be the console players 99% of the time.

@LordSturm said:
oh wow, I didn't even realize they slipped in the "no more notifications" part, that's really lame
the perk was already not very good, idk why they'd remove that
Because killers were already saying that they were going to run it when Boons come out since it'll be insane slowdown and you can interrupt blessings. Since survivors wouldn't like it, Devs nerfed it immediately.

No, they're not allowed because the game doesn't provide in game comms, you have to use external assets to do so, which clearly violates the tos but BHVR doesn't enforce this rule
Unlike many other things they have confirmed to be cheating, they have never said that using Discord or Skype is cheating. If it was, they would've said so by now.
-
Any more killer meta perks being nerfed. If Corrupt or Ruin get nerfed then I'd probably retire from the game. I dont mind meta perks being nerfed to mix things up, but the survivor meta has been completely unaffected for years.

Lmao are you pretending it isn't an argument? Are you really trying to just sidestep the question?
Because the previous point isn't why the perk is strong at all and you know it. Its a cherry picked argument that ignores the real strength of the perk that everyone brings up. Sure you can wait a few seconds if they use it in a dead zone, but you cant do anything when they use it to make it to a pallet or vault.
-
@SonicOffline said:
Is it really that hard to just not press a mouse button until it gets used though?
Lmao people still use this argument? Are we still pretending that dead hard isn't mostly used for distance? What do you do if someone uses it for distance to a safe pallet or vault? You just get completely outplayed.

Did i forgot to mension that 99% of the community are crying babys ?
Or maybe the map is fundamentally bad? Navigation is horrible for both sides, unbalanced pallet setups, killer powers are either bugged or straight up dont work, horrendous for 110s, and bad hook spawns.
-
Wow, you're so brave for posting this OP. Cant wait to see this exact post again tomorrow.

Or maybe the player is not good enough...
Nah, the map is just terrible. It doesnt belong in this game and 99% of the community hates it.
-
Agreed. There should be a filter option that can turn off selected event items from appearing in future webs. Just turn off medkits, toolboxes, and flashlights.
-
The devs wont nerf BBQ because they and smart players realize that BBQ is healthy for the game.
-
No. It made playing killer boring because every game was a murder stomp. New Undying is fun because it actually makes perks like Lullaby, Third Seal, and Devour actually work
-
The hit and run playstyle has been a thing ever since Nurse came out like 4 years ago. Its just something you'll have to adapt to.

Bad influence on new players and lying about inventing builds

So much this. Hope he succeeds with LoL. I bet streamers like Otz are fed up with this game too but won't risk moving entirely to another game. DbD would lose half their streamers if people would not care about their viewer counts/established fanbase and just be honest with themselves.
Otz would 100% be fine without DBD. His RE8 steams did really well.
-
He stopped playing? Thank god. That man had to go.
-
Otz is above average at best, decent at his worst. He makes plenty of mistakes and has a hard time keeping pressure in most cases since he has to maintain his nice guy persona and has to play nice. Streamers are not the top of the player skill level.
-
And the worst take of the day goes to...
-
Heal in a safe spot away from the killer and not under the hook. Ezpz.
-
Ummm... OP assuming the killer is LGBT because of his appearance? Homophobic stereotypes? Uh oh...
-
"game was perfect before the nerfs"
Fastest I've ever lost brain cells after opening the forums.
The 3 perks in your title were much worse before. NOED wasn't even a hex, it was just always active, BBQ could see people in lockers, and Pop was 60 seconds. Only a nostalgic filled mindset would ever think this game was balanced in the beginning.
-
This would NEVER work. It would split the already bad queue times and that's assuming that all 10 players stay in the match while it loads. Also it'd be another thing devs would have to balance and they can barely change the numbers on a handful of perks in a year, let alone two different game modes.

They nerfed his addons but the reload buff was a big deal for him. So I would say overall he got a small buff.
Losing his exhaustion bottles is big. Being able to slow survivors down doesn't mean much when the survivor can just press E to Dead Hard to the pallet and greatly lengthen the chase. The reload speed increase by like 2 seconds doesn't make up for the however many seconds to minutes you lose from 3-4 Dead Hards on one team.
-
Losing the exhaustion bottles was a huge blow to us. The speed difference with the bottles doesn't mean much when the survivor can press E to Crutch Hard to the pallet and make our power useless. The only real upside we got this update was the mangled bottles being permanent until healed, but Id still rather have the exhaustion bottles.
-
This Clown change was a nerf.
So its still Clown.
