I could've sworn it was confirmed to release sometime this year unless I'm schizophrenic
They’ve confirmed a lot of things to release in the past that never happened

Good thing for you they are getting changed
BHVR have been saying this for a very long time now. It’s gotten to the point where nobody should believe that they’re actually serious about it anymore.

Maybe for a cheating pc player there is no problem, on console he is too clunky
Playing on PC is cheating?
-
It’s the same predictable response that we’ve gotten with every recently-released killer. Lots of people complaining that he’s too strong because it’s only been 24 hours and they haven’t fully mastered counterplay yet. So, also predictably, he’ll get nerfed hard and never seen again like Krasue and Henry.

if holding some one on the ground for 4 minutes not doing 1/3 of your role as killer and getting hooks then tea bagging at the exit gates and pallets shouldnt be considered toxic.
If you’re getting slugged and left on the ground for 4 minutes, that is a survivor teammate issue, not a killer toxicity issue. This is a completely invalid comparison.

Well that's the answer. There is no voice chat to make the game easier for killers. BHVR doesn't want coridinated teams.
BHVR have explicitly said that they encourage in-game communication with 3rd party apps. You’re jus using this as an excuse to needlessly stir up “us vs them” divisiveness
-
@cammoking123 said:
To make the game artificially easier for killer mains. So when killer mains whine about "hand holding" make sure to remind them of this.
The lack of in-game comms has nothing to do with this and there’s no reason to make this an “us vs them” issue when it’s not.

honestly losing 2 - 3 gens early has always been a thing. Efficient survivors have always split gens. It used to be worse when survivors were always split up at the start.
however I notice when i play survivor gens never get done though matchmaking stacks the deck for me to lose, always getting survivors who will do gens but can’t last in chase, survivors who do nothing but edge map and walk around, or the allergic to gens, linger for saves and usually throw the match.Honestly the problem is this games matchmaking, i feel you’re either stomping or getting stomped in this game. the very close hard fought edge of your teeth games are very rare even though i wish they weren’t.
Matchmaking is the biggest problem, yet BHVR continues to ignore it. How long has it been since they promised updates to matchmaking?

Spirit is pretty universally regarded as a high-tier killer. She takes some skill and experience to master. I struggle with her against good survivors who know how to counter her, but I am a casual player and am fully aware that I would need to put in a lot more time and practice to get really good with her. I don’t have the time to do that, so I’m ok with mostly playing other killers with easier powers to master. In summary, she doesn’t need nerfs.
-
I continue to be amazed by the logic of people who refuse to upgrade their gaming hardware once every ten years because it’s “too expensive” but have no problem spending hundreds or more every year on optional cosmetics.
-
It would be nice if we could regularly get stats that are actually meaningful or interesting, like full kill rate stats for killers, escapes rates for survivors, stats specific to maps and perks, etc. Having these kinds of stats available live would be amazing. I don’t know why BHVR have been so hesitant to share these kinds of stats that are far more interesting and meaningful than “blood points earned”.

Every game against Kaneki is the same sh*t, Killers do this sh*t and then proceed to complaing about the anti-slug update to oblivion until it got reversed on PTB. For real, you already downed everyone, just f*cking hook so we can go to the next game, instead of forcing people to DC
The anti-slug changes have nothing to do with this. This is a problem specific to Kaneki being super unfun to go against. The reason you see everybody slugged is that they immediately give up as soon as they realize that it’s Kaneki.

My escape rates across my top 3.

It does not undo but is still problematic which is what I was trying to show with my example killer perk. Imagine the said perk being able to recreate a broken 3 gen, that is essentially what Shoulder does, removing immediate pressure by spreading hook states.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4087257#Comment_4087257
It is not risky to use it at all.. Just stealth for pull and use it when the killer is committing to a different chase/is far from hook. Even if its a killer like Billy, Blight, Kaneki etc who can return to hook incredibly fast, the unhooked person can use basekit BT to prevent a trade, not to mention the person who is running Shoulder can use something like Sprint Burst or Vigil to reach safety more easily by either getting to a strong structure and/or shortening the exposed effect. I have 80% escape rate with this perk alone, it is very strong for survivors.
80% escape rate? Across how many matches? Can you show screen shot of stats? If this is real, I’m impressed
-
@Thirteen said:
No, undoing permanent progress is unhealthy. Its why Shoulder the Burden is one of the most problematic perks in the game. Imagine a perk for killer that undos a finished gen by setting its progress back to 45 charges whilst also sending another gen 45 charges. It would be incredibly game breaking just like how StB is.
Why do you think Shoulder the Burden is problematic? It’s extremely risky to use - if the killer goes after the unhooker, who is now exposed, that’s two quick hooks states for that survivor. I very rarely see anyone use it in my matches, and there’s a reason for that. It’s just not that good.

@Xray said:
It wont change until another game company makes a good enough product to force BHVR to listen. we will still have the abhorent maps, stale meta, and busted perks until someone can beat DBD at its own game.
There is a lot of truth to this. BHVR can do pretty much whatever the want with the game without listening to any community feedback, ignore bugs for years, never update old content, etc. and they’ll still keep the players because there’s no competition. But they do deserve a lot of credit for making a game in this genre so successful for so long when nobody else could.

How many hours do you have on killer? I find it hard to believe you get many hard matches since your user is literally survivor main you are still likely in new player lobbies. I was originally making this post aimed towards killer mains with a few hundred hours in the game wondering if they still experienced anxiety and/or have any tips for new killer players.
Sorry for the confusion
I asked the same question. See their responses and draw your own conclusions

"whenever I play any killer, even the so-called "weak" ones, I'm just laughing the whole time at how braindead easy it is to win most my matches. Okay, once in a while a skilled SWF comes along and maybe I get 0-2K, but that is like at most 5 percent of my matches. the rest of the time I'm just steamrolling through P100 survivors with thousands of hours like they just installed the game for the first time"
thats copied from a different thread. hope this helps. it applies even to Trapper and Bubba and Wraith, the so-called "low tier" killers. as for killer hours, I have far too many to name.
sigh…I tried, and I’ll stop asking. It’s very obvious what you’re trying to do here now

I have over 4.5K hours since 2016. I don't use stat tracker, plus last I checked it was bugged and inaccurate anyways. But we have plenty of Official stats proving how easy killer is in both broad and high MMR, for years now.
Just show me your killer hours. That’s all I ask. Nobody is questioning the accuracy of that stat
-
@survivormainwarrior said:
killer is as easy as its ever been. basically, if you want hardcore mode, you play solo Q. if you want easy mode, you play any killer character. if you want intermediate mode, you play with a SWF. yet killers have the nerve to play the victim. truth is they just aren't that good.
Can you share your killer stats? Just wondering if you are actually basing this on your experience
-
I’ve been having fun on both sides. Players count is at a historic high, so plenty of other people have been having fun too, apparently.
What do you consider as “OP/toxic builds?” -
I’m sure they would love to add servers, but that costs money. The player count is at a historic high despite the issues with ping/lag, so I can’t see BHVR spending more on additional servers anytime soon.
-
@TropesDaMan said:
what is the most toxicity youve ever seen in a trial? be it from you, a teammate, or opponent
What’s the purpose of this post? All it’s going to do is lead to arguments about which side (killer or survivor) is more toxic. Go ahead and downvote, but this really doesn’t contribute anything constructive.
-
I can’t remember the last time I saw someone use Shoulder the Burden in one of my killer matches. If it was OP, I would probably see it a lot more often than “never”. Ironically, I have actually been using it a lot in my survivor matches recently. It’s my insurance against a teammate getting tunneled and while most matches it doesn’t make a difference, it feels very good when it helps someone escape.
-
Fully agree with your points about why Trickster should be 4.6. I see you got a bunch of downvotes but nobody bothered actually stating why they don’t agree with your opinion. Typical

You say that, but yourself is also hiding behind a computer using a fake name on this forums, stop being hypocrite.
You say people should articulate their opinions but you opinion itself is just another form of "We need slowdown or we can't play the game", yet you fail to understand why slowdown perk are kinda of problem and how unfun they are to go against, ESPECIALLY in Solo Queue. You also fail to put into perspective how slowdown perks differ in effective depending on both Killer and Survivor, but it heavies way more to the Killer side, Killer that get quick downs just insta-win the game because it don't halt the momentum, it kill it, making working on Gen early pointless because the first down will make it go to 0% anyway. On less powerful killers they are a NECESSITY because they don't have the power to keep up be it because of weak chase potential or low mobility, this create the scenario were a strong killer Pain Res just make the match unbearable, while a weaker Killer Pain Res is strong but doable.The fact that both Survivor and Killer are "forced" to play with X perks just to have a chance at what their consider winning, by itself is problematic, what is the point of having 100+ Perks, 20+ Killers, if everyone is gonna play the same sh*t because is the best.
Nice try at a “gotcha”, but my point wasn’t about people “hiding behind a computer using a fake name”. That is what everybody does on every online forum and I have no problem with that. My problem is with people anonymously downvoting without contributing to discussions.
-
Fully agree that DC penalties need to be increased. Based on past discussions on this topic I know this is an unpopular opinion, but the fact that this is an unpopular opinion explains exactly why there is such an epidemic with people disconnecting. Many players simply do not care if they ruin other people’s games and they think they are entitled to do so.

Getting downvoted after saying that is actually comical
Eh I figured it would. I really don’t care about downvotes. I’m going to say what I think and not anonymously hide behind a button. I think people should actually have to articulate their opinions to engage here, but I don’t make the rules here.

it would be nice if people could actually respond with constructive feedback rather than just anonymously downvote

It's not whataboutism when both actions are the same thing just for each side respectively: wasting time taking a victory lap. You can criticize survivors for stalling at an exit gate, but that would mean (unless you're a hypocrite) you would also be willing to criticize killers doing the same thing. I have a strong feeling the amount of cognitive dissonance would be palpable coming from the killer side.
Yes, what you did is the literal definition of “whataboutism”. OP was talking about survivors waiting/t-bagging at the gates, then you jumped in to the thread not to talk about that issue but to point out that killer players do bad things too. I agree with you that it is bad when both sides do it. But then you had to get that last sentence in just to make sure we all know which side you don’t personally like. It’s divisive, unnecessary stuff like that that turns discussions into “us vs them” p***ing matches.
-
@Wyndsor said:
Same reason why killers mori the final survivor.
This makes no sense at all. Killers using a mori in endgame makes the match end quicker. Survivors waiting at the gates for no reason other than to taunt the killer is extending the game unnecessarily.
-
@Valuetown said:
Why do killers slug and spam w and s when they know they've won? Seems kind of worthless if you ask me.
Since you’re going to use whataboutisms to answer the OP, then you shouldn’t ever complain again about any killer behavior that you don’t like because “well the other side does it too”.
-
I’m fine with it. Killer can facecamp in endgame, and in most cases it’s going to be a hook trade. If survivors can pull of a hook save with me facecamping and get everyone out safely, then I tip my cap to them. It sucks when it happens to you playing killer, but it feels great when you pull it off as survivor.
-
What are they supposed to say? They have no idea what your specific situation is. It could be entirely on your end. I haven’t had any issues recently, and nobody else here has started a thread to complain about it either, so chances are it’s an issue on your end. BHVR are likely not going to provide statements on an individual player’s game performance issues.

How is pressing a button for a free health state “outplaying” someone?

Maps were shrunk to accommodate immobile killers, instead this resulted in hyper-buffing mobile killers.
Survivors were changed to spawn together so that immobile killers could have an easier time initiating chase at the crucial part of the game. Instead, mobile killers are able to initiate chase within 20 seconds of a game starting.
Need I go on? If you play ten games and only lose three, the killer is fine, you should definitely not be losing the majority of your matches on killer, especially since people go on killstreaks with killers that aren't even A tier.https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4085411#Comment_4085411
Except there are far more workable perk set ups for killers than survivors, and your suggestion of nerfing gens (again) won't stop people from running four slowdowns.
People run that because its easy and efficient, not because the game is unplayable without them. Its the same reason why good players still run windows of opportunity, but windows is definitely not a need.You talked about completely different things than I was talking about. I asked about how buffing low-tier killers, specifically their powers and add-ons, has any impact on the other killers. You answered with a non sequitur about maps and survivor spawns.
Also, can you share how you came to the conclusion that low-tier killers are “playable in a vast majority of matches outside of comp”? Is this your personal experience? Can you share some of your stats for a few low-tier killers that you play?
-
@Wyndsor said:

Its the same rhetoric used for tunneling, heard it before, no amount of carrot on a stick will deter people from using four slowdowns outside of an actual gutting of said perks.
It doesn't matter if there are 190 slow killers when the ten that are fast make up > 80% of matches. Any buff to 'low-tiers' will just buff the S tiers, and mind you, all the 'bad' killers still have good kill rates and are playable in the vast majority of matches outside of comp which is a tiny fraction of a fraction.How does buffing low tier killers (their abilities and add-ons) have any impact on the other killers?
We don’t know what the low-tier killer kill rates are because BHVR never shares the kill rates of all killers - just a select few. I’m curious what your kill rates are with some of the low-tier killers. Can you share a few? I’m curious to know how you came to the conclusion that they are “playable in the vast majority of matches”. -

Trapper, Wraith, Deathslinger, Ghostface, Executioner, Némésis, Chucky, Huntress , even Dracula and Wesker could have some or all of their 2v8 buffs implemented in 1v4 and would remain A to B tier in that state of play. That's an easy number fix for improving the fun playing these killers and increasing the diversity of experiences in the game.
Ehhh…Wraith, Nemesis, Dracula, Huntress and Wesker are fine. They are all A tier or B tier in pretty much every reputable tier list I have seen. Trapper, Ghostface, Executioner and Slinger definitely need some help. Probably not to their 2v8 strength as that is intended to keep up with a much stronger survivor role.
-
I think generator speeds are fine - it would be even more boring repairing gens if time was longer - but I do think that something needs to be done to nerf coordinated teams a bit. Past stats have shown that SWF at high MMR has a significantly higher escape rate than the 40% target, and it sure feels that way playing against good coordinated teams. I don’t think this will ever happen because SWF will be in an uproar complaining about being “punished” for playing with friends, not acknowledging their unfair advantage.
-
The bonuses have been broken for over a year. I remember a distinct point in time before which they were working perfectly and after which they were just completely random or no bonuses for either side at all. BHVR hasn’t bothered to fix them, nor have they even acknowledged that they are broken. I understand that it’s not a priority issue, but it’s frustrating when bugs like this just get ignored forever.

NOED? Almost no one runs it nowadays and literally no survs care about cleansing totems to prevent it. NOED was literally desperate measure of m1 killers since there was no so many strong slowdown perks(almost none in fact) and they physically couldn't prevent 5 gens even if they won every chase in 30 seconds. Its no comparison to dead hard.
I see NOED all the time. Whenever a killer gets like 1 or 2 hooks by the time gates are powered, it’s basically a guarantee that they have NOED. Then of course the killer finally downs someone trying to open an exit gate, hooks survivor, camps, and gets their free gift kill.
-
I’m fine with Dead Hard (press E to outplay) as long as NOED (free kills for playing poorly) exists. I think both are bad for the game and either need to be reworked or eliminated.
-
Yeah I play both sides about equally and I agree the 2 survivor end game scenarios are super unfun for the survivor side. I think the most fair solution is to let survivors abandon with no penalty if there are two dead and more than 1 gen left. This allows killer to get 4K against the bots if they want to and also allows survivors to not be forced to wait out the slugging for 4K scenario that is so unfun.
-
My thoughts: it’s one content creator’s opinion. That doesn’t mean anything.
-
Who thinks he’s bad? He can one-shot down and insta-break pallets on command. I personally despise going against Myers.
-
Not according to the player count, which is the only thing that matters
-
The only correct answer is Ghoul
-
The devs see plenty of feedback here and it doesn’t seem to matter much. BHVR have a long track record of doing what they want to do with the game despite community feedback. An extra way to provide feedback isn’t going to suddenly change that.
-
I played him for a little while, but once I started facing decent survivors on a consistent basis, he became non-viable. It’s just too easy to bait/dodge his power and he has no mobility. I enjoy going against P-Head as survivor because he’s pretty easy to counter if you know what you’re doing.
