Let's start that they shouldn't touch dead hard and decisive never. What on earth you made it canceling for saving, healing or cleansing. It's a perk that needs to protect you at all costs and it's only one use which is useless. Have no idea who got this amazing ideas to put in perks excuses for using it.
Because perks aren’t supposed to give you invincibility while doing gens, healing, saving, etc.

I think there are a lot of interesting/fun items like this that BHVR could add to the game. Another idea would be other types of traps like the chem trap for pallets that survivors could set up to give killers hindered status for a certain amount of time. The possibilities are huge but unfortunately it usually takes BHVR years to add anything new to the game other than the regular new chapter content.

If you got a 5 minute penalty that means you have been DC-ing in other matches too. The system is set up so that you get a “freebie” with no penalty for these type of rare situations where you get disconnected for reasons outside of your control. It’s hard to agree with you if you’re disconnecting in other matches for reasons that are within your control.

Doubling up is less numerically efficient but there are times when it's worth doing. If you're passing a 80% complete gen and killer is chasing someone injured, might be worth pushing through it before PR procs or the killer comes to apply pressure.
Also definitely worth doubling/tripling up on a gen that is easy to defend early on, especially if it's part of a three gen set up.
I think this is the best response. General guidance is that spreading work on gens is best, but there are good situational reasons for getting certain gens done as quickly as possible.

I did not enjoy Lights Out and would be very happy if it never came back.

When a vast majority of perks are either bad to downright useless, this is going to happen. It’s a result of so many perks that have never been adjusted to make them worthwhile to use.

Agree. I play both sides but survivor at least 40% of the time. I don’t see tunneling that often either. I think most of the complaints about the prevalence of tunneling are 1) people just not being honest; or 2) people honestly thinking they are being tunneled but simply because they died first even though killer probably didn’t actually tunnel. I’ve never once seen anyone post multiple consecutive unedited matches that provided actual evidence that they encountered hard tunneling in consecutive matches.
Even if tunneling was prevalent, I personally enjoy it when the killer focuses on me. That means I get to experience the most fun part of the game for the majority of the match. I don’t understand the mindset of people who want to just hold M1 on a gen the whole match and never have the killer bother them. Might as well just play a custom match with bots if that’s enjoyable for you.

I play both sides and honestly I don’t see slugging as a problem with the killer side. If you’re slugged and teammates aren’t picking you up, that’s a teammate problem, not a killer problem. I recall several recent matches where killer slugged me/my teammates multiple times and teammates were good at quickly picking each other up. Killers lost all those matches because they were never getting anyone to death hook.

Why would anyone ever click the “tryhard” button?

How do you measure sweatiness?

The problem there is you are looking at kill rate, which is not the same as win rate. The devs balance around a 60% kill rate not a 50% win rate. Which is partially to account for the 1v4 nature, as well as for hatch.
You have to keep in mind that a 3k and a 4k are both a "win". So if i played 100 games, and got say, a 3k in half my games, and a 4k in the other half, my kill rate would be 87.5% and my win rate would be 100%.
But in those same games, if i got 3k every single game, i would still have a 100% win rate, but my kill rate would go down to 75%.
So now, if i play 100 games say:
- 25 games i get 0 kills
- 15 games i get 1 kill
- 20 games i get 2 kills
- 30 games i get 3 kills
- 10 gets i get 4 kills.
This would be a win rate of 50%, i would have 40 games lost, 40 games won, and 20 games a draw. But what is my kill rate? 51.25%. So my kill rate is actually higher than my win rate. There are other scenarios where you can have the opposite. But given that a loss can actually be 0-1 kills, and a win can be 3-4, it makes sense to skew the "kill rate" balance to something higher than 50% when you account for the hatch mechanic which leads to wins being statistically more likely to be a 3k, and in general losses tend to be 1k (just due to the nature of the game)
Great explanation! Fair-minded players will understand and agree with this. Unfortunately it seems like there are some players on both sides , people who exclusively play one side, who think the game is unbalanced no matter what the kill/escape rates are.

That is called cognitive dissonance.
You can't ignore facts when it makes you feel uncomfortable.
Ok, so where would you like the stats to be in order for you to consider the killers to be “fair”? The weakest killers are already almost non-existent in the game because they are miserable to play. So unless you’re ok with only seeing a handful of high-tier killers is most of your matches, something needs to be changed to incentivize people to play the weaker killers.

He’s not overpowered. He’s A-tier, but certainly has plenty of counter play. His ranged attack is very easy to dodge and wolf form is not that great. His greatest strength is probably mobility, but survivors can easily prerun when they hear the bats coming.

I just type in dbd on YouTube and this what I see lol
This is a new trend? I feel like this has been going on for the past 10 years since the game was released.

Hard disagree, the censorship does need to be removed and made a toggle option. If you find the chat toxic, there is literally a button to click and turn it off so you never see the chat. If you choose not to use it, that is on you.
Why? What is the point? Best case, you get everyone saying “GG” to each other. So we need to keep the ability for people to say GG so that the other 99% of extremely toxic post game chats can remain?
-
It would be helpful if you could explain what “survivor bashing” is
-
The post game chat just needs to go altogether. Its only purpose is to give people the opportunity to be super toxic. Don’t even give people a platform to do that.
-
Self care used to be faster and it was way too strong, making medkits pointless. You could get unlimited free, quick heals and then bring another item instead like a flashlight or toolbox. I play both sides equally and I think it’s fine as-is. If you’re going to get unlimited free heals then it needs to have a downside (slow).
-
Well then don’t let them off so easy next time 😉
-
Totems spawn in impossible-to-find places when I play survivor and they spawn 3 ft away from generators in plain view when I play killer.
-
Agree she is miserable to go against. Fortunately I haven’t seen one in a very long time.
-
Well, slugging is within the rules of the game and usually it doesn’t work all that well. Tough for killer to win if they never hook anyone. If nobody is picking you up after getting slugged, that’s on your team. Sounds more like an issue of bad teammates than an issue with the killers.
-
I understand why anon mode exists, but in my experience anon mode players are far more likely to DC, AFK and/or be super toxic. I mean, that’s often the reason why they play anon. There’s a valid reason to have anon mode but there is also a very valid reason to avoid anon mode players in my experience.

The cheating situation is bad but based on the player count numbers, not many people seem to care enough to stop playing the game. I doubt BHVR will do anything about cheating unless the player numbers start to decline significantly.
