how is trying to eliminate all survivors (literally the entire point of the game) staggeringly disrespectful?
The goal of the game is to kill everyone/escape
it is not only kill a few and let the last person escape or only 3 people can escape not 4 rule based game.
do not twist made up rulebooks invoked whenever you dislike losing with what the game, rules, and mechanics actually are.
what other sport or competition that has a clear start and end has the game end early or have the winning person/team stop playing just because they are winning?
In american football is it unsportmanlike for a team up 21 and 0 in the 4th quarter with 2 minutes to still play to win and try to score points?
how about basketball?
combat sports?
you dont like losing and remaining in a state of being aware you are losing. so you want a shortcut out of it. thats why alot of people dc too. thats unsportsmanlike.
Holy s, this is the worst parallel i may ever seen in my life XD.
You for real saying that a game, played for fun, is comparable to a JOB with people being PAID, to play a sport? -

Thats like survivors leaving guy hooked in endgame to die because killer has no kill and they escaped so they dont need to be tryhards.
Thats same thing giving something free because you mostly won.
And you're not wrong, i also think survivor should be the better person and leave someone behind for the 3 man escape, also the survivor hooked on end-game should also understand that 3 man escape is also a win. When is doable to make most of the survivor escape, there's no reason to play selfish and caring only about your escape.

Eh I figured it would. I really don’t care about downvotes. I’m going to say what I think and not anonymously hide behind a button. I think people should actually have to articulate their opinions to engage here, but I don’t make the rules here.
You say that, but yourself is also hiding behind a computer using a fake name on this forums, stop being hypocrite.
You say people should articulate their opinions but you opinion itself is just another form of "We need slowdown or we can't play the game", yet you fail to understand why slowdown perk are kinda of problem and how unfun they are to go against, ESPECIALLY in Solo Queue. You also fail to put into perspective how slowdown perks differ in effective depending on both Killer and Survivor, but it heavies way more to the Killer side, Killer that get quick downs just insta-win the game because it don't halt the momentum, it kill it, making working on Gen early pointless because the first down will make it go to 0% anyway. On less powerful killers they are a NECESSITY because they don't have the power to keep up be it because of weak chase potential or low mobility, this create the scenario were a strong killer Pain Res just make the match unbearable, while a weaker Killer Pain Res is strong but doable. The fact that both Survivor and Killer are "forced" to play with X perks just to have a chance at what their consider winning, by itself is problematic, what is the point of having 100+ Perks, 20+ Killers, if everyone is gonna play the same sh*t because is the best.

Remove hatch and replace it with some other objective that doesnt make last 2 survivors stealth hard. Calling for it for 3-4 years but somehow people still think giving win to a surv with 0% effort is a fair mechanic.
Or Killers could stop being a little too much tryhard and settle for the 3K. At this point the killer already won the match so why bother getting the 4th kill?
-
Solving the problem which causes DC and make the game joyable to both sides OR just increase DC penalities. Difficulty
-
Another High-Mobility and Anti-loop killer, quite generic to this point honest, tho the multiple mori is dope and the visual for his power are very cool.

If you're new or returning after years, there's a lot of stuff to learn and it's way to much to ask of people, particularly as survivor with there being so many killers to learn, plus their add-ons and perks. I wouldn't want to be starting this game for the first time.
But personally i think people think they need meta perks more than they do, they're just too afraid to venture away and try odd builds. I've never used DS, DH, or most Exhaustion perks. Dont use Windows either. I'm running a stealth build right now and my ER for the last 30 days—with over 200 matches—is 62%. And that's mostly soloq. Everyone is so used to seeing the same perks all the time that off-meta is more likely to catch your opponents off-guard.
I dont disagree with people think they need meta perks, but the lack of agency for both sides make people be inclined to use them, for example when you are playing Killer with no Gen Regression and you played very well yet Gens flied so fast, it create this scenario when you get yourself think "If i was running X, it could be avoided/delayed", when you go against Solo Queue survivors this feeling is less prevalent atleast for me.

As a stats nerd it's always fun & interesting to see the results of others.
I'm currently undergoing my own stats analysis but it's going to be over roughly 6 months & between 2,500 & 3,000 games & focusing on more than 50 different stats.
I play solo exclusively, use every survivor & only use their perks so far my escape results are roughly 50% (I play red ranks)
I've never found solo to be nearly as bad as is often portrayed (though as i'm recording & will be uploading every game some "teammates" certainly have their moments.
I'm hoping to do the same thing for killers next year I wanted to run them side by side but I feel MMR (if it works & ever arrives) will give a far fairer & better reflection of each killer.
That's awesome!, i also play solo exclusively and had the mentality that SoloQ sucks, tho after taking notes i'm surprised that the teammates actually do something but have the tendency to throw the match. During MMR testing i had the chance to get the achivement "Power moves" which was very easy at Rank 1, tho most of the matches during that time endend with 2 kills/2 escapes, something that i personally didn't find good because rarely i got matches with 4, 3 or 0 escapes, idk it felt way too much "balance".

Gotcha.
You should keep track of the killers perks. See how often stuff is actually used
So far 3 perks that almost always appeared in those matches were BBQ, Ruin and Tinkerer, for survivor was the same old song, Dead Hard, BT and Unbreakable, sometimes DS. To i'm gonna take note on perks too.

you can't know if someone is on console, all you can tell is that they aren't on steam.
you should change that on your table thing.
also, what's the goal? what are you trying to show with your data?
Noted.
Like a said on the first post, is just for fun of showing how my matches goes, the data you can interpret, i'm not trying to prove a point, showing things that other may find interesting. I could say that personally for me is to see if my SoloQ matches are actually that bad.

While I agree with others that there are many times killer only see unhooked. Cause the double hook.
But after 150 games, I found out that the average of total hook that kill the first Survivor is 5.04 hook (as 3 is the lowest and 9 is highest if not counting camping to death)
I cant tell 5 hooks to kill the 1st survivor is fair or not. Depends on how each person view.
If you assume that 2 survivors got hooked once, and 1st survivor to die get hooked 3 times without double hook it sounds fair to me atleast, also if you take into account that the max hooks are 12, if the killer gets 6 hooks before anyone die sounds amazing atleast for survivors.

@DemonDaddy said:
I think you should only count a tunnel when paired with a hard camp. It's really common for an unhooked Survivor to be found without the intent of focusing on them. Sometimes the rescuer can't be found but the rescued runs right into you.
That's fair enough, i will you take your suggestion for the next matches, also, it sucks that rescuers aren't willing to take aggro to avoid a teammate getting double hooked
-
@shalo said:
"double hooks in any point in game counts". That's tunnelling? ok.
Like i said, if the killer goes out of his way to get the same survivor hooked twice in a row he is tunnelling O.o
-
Pretty much garbage, facecamp all the matches, Survivors working with the killer, people DC when completing or not a challenge, killer camping pumpking gens, etc...
-
All events suck because people play like ######### ######### to get things done, lost count of who many facecamp killer and friend with the kiler survivors i got today, and the best part is that they don't get punish for that, people can't just play normally during events
-
Don't bother, devs won't do anything, i got every single type of curse when playing against SWF and those people never got banned.

Implying using VOIP apps is cheating is completely unproductive and a waste of time. It has been explicitly stated on this very forum that it's not considered cheating by the developers themselves.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/594984#Comment_594984
In a game that is all about information, being able to tell your teammates who is the killer, what perk he is using, what he is doing is basically using a wallhack, i don't ######### care if devs say that this stupid unfair advantage ins't cheating, i can't take seriously words from the devs, they took years to fix infinite loops, DS, double pallets and vaults, and they still didn't fix totally most of those problem, the major problem like gen rush they use band-aid fix like Ruin and Corrupt Intervention, using perks to fix core mechanics problems is the most stupid thing i've seen in this game, also when DBD was in Beta SWF didn't even exist, but like they always do, they gonna release a band-aid perk to fix everything and ignore that SWF is a problem.

That's a great way to push people away who just want to play with friends casually.
LOL, if they want to play casually them play KYF, atleast try to defendes CheatWithYourFriends
-
If you slug everybody and proceed to hook everyone, god bless you, i had matches and the killer gets 4 slug and literally go AFK waiting everyone to die on the ground.
If you think about it, all the DBD lore is about Killer being choosen to entertain The Entety and maybe that's why killer can make the game 10x more fun or 10x more stresseful/boring, the most fun matches for me are the one when me and the killer tries to mindgame each other to see who makes a mistake first, is fun guessing what your opponent will do next.

@altruistic Because you're solo.
Get a 4 man squadette with toolboxes 1 skeleton key in case of issues and run DH, Adrenaline, DS and BT.
Don't heal/no totems always be on gens don't go for saves unless the hooked person on coms says they left and someone else is in a chase.
You just point that SWF is the problem and not gen speed XD

Yeah I remember something like that a long time ago. Was the reason ever mentioned?
They never talked about it, also it was a undocumented change, probably because it came with the Unreal Engine update, so maybe was a side effect of upgrading the Engine.

They have add 60FPS Skill Check once, and it was so good, for some reason they removed some time after...

No, is not bannable, i edit my GameUserSettings.ini and Engine.ini to use custom resolutions and smooth framerate and never got banned in 2 years of doing this, also i send a message to EAC support asking about Custom User Interface and they said as long is don't give you unfair advantage EAC won't proc, so we can say that EAC just protected the files that contain expecific game files, i don't know why the Devs are being such a pussy about a small problem, they just should put graphic options in game so no one would ever need to change .ini files.

Give a extra objective for everyone is interesting but your ideas are bad af, because people would just let other survivors die so they can complete they objectives faster and escape, the core mechanic for survivors is the fact that working together they can have a equal strengh to the killer, by making people able to escape alone will just break the core of survivor gameplayThat's just another day for solo players, especially if they're in the same lobby as SWF.
Yeah, but that is a problem with SWF players not the game itself
-
Basically you are saying that the people you brought to the game aren't dedicated enough..... it was 5 times harder to Level Up when this game came out, now you can easily get 1,000,000 Bloodpoints in less then a week, if you are talking about learning curve i understand, i had a friend that give up from playing because he don't know how to play survivor/killer properly and got frustrated
-
Genrush mean survivors are doing they only objective, to slow down the game Survivors needs secondary objectives that's give a reward equals to the main objective, i think increasing bloodpoints gain for breaking totems would be a good start, make the solo players' success almost completely independent of their team's ability, this is already a thing dude, if you teammates are potatoes just do 2 gens by yourself and go for the hatch, one problem with potatoes survivors, are the fact they don't know how to gather information during the trial, and because of that they do bad decisions and ######### up the game, snowball effect is fine, that just mean some of the sides isn't playing that well.
Give a extra objective for everyone is interesting but your ideas are bad af, because people would just let other survivors die so they can complete they objectives faster and escape, the core mechanic for survivors is the fact that working together they can have a equal strengh to the killer, by making people able to escape alone will just break the core of survivor gameplay -
BBQ&Chilli ######### Stealth playstyle, and the Devs notice that (after months ¬¬) this is the solution to the problem, now lockers are more useful for stealth players, and most of the survivors don't ######### care about being tracked by BBQ&Chilli, BBQ&Chilli is such a lazy desing perk, Whisper in the other hand is a well balanced perk, i really belief that game mechanics should counter game mechanics and perks should counter perks but in this case i will make a exception XD
-
Gen itself is not the problem, since is the only and main objective for survivor, the game needs a second objective to delay the game a little bit, if they increased the points you gain for breaking Dull Totems would be a great, also use NOED and Remember Me to "Counter" GenRush, i now that use perks to counter a game mechanics is a bad game desing but you now... Behaviour being behaviour...
-
Sole Survivors works in a range of 28 Meters at tier 3, so in this case, Sole Survivor would block the aura reading from Nurse's Calling because Nurse's calling also have a range of 28 Meters, because of that you won't lose any Distortion tokens because your aura won't be revealed anyway.
-
The problem is the volumetric fog and the new lighting
-
The Devs said that after the engine update some sounds volumes are bugged, some are loud af and other you can't even hear at all.
-
One problem this game had is, Perks that counter mechanics, and this is bad design, mechanics needs to counter mechanics because this will reward smart players, while Perks that counter mechanics is more a lazy solution to try to fix a mechanic, BBQ&Chilli is a good example, since Killers didn't had a way to track stealth survivors devs created BBQ&Chilli to counter this, Perks should boost mechanics to give a small advantage in certain cenarios not counter a mechanics totally.
Your idea is totally correct, would be cool if newer perk was made like that.

My proposal is the next: if the killer sacrifices 4 survivors (ruthless victory) he will not lose their items and addons.Yeah because is cool play against Huntress with Instadown every single match

The whole idea of the shrine release back then in 2016 was to give players the ability to get DLC perks without owning the DLC itself.
Now, can we hold on a second and think when BBQ&C was in the shrine last time? September 2017. How often? A single time.
My idea: The shrine needs to offer 8 perks in total, 4 for survivors and 4 for killer. Every update gives us more perks, it's time to tweak the shrine around this. It can't be stay like this at current state.
Also, adding some kind of parameters to balance the appearance of perks would be good, licence DLC perks should appear much often than OG character perksJust remove the perks from free characters from the shrine would be enough, or atleast or make just 1 perks from free characters appears in the Shrine

Not_Queen is the only one that seems to care about the game, Mathieu Cote is a total douchebag and clearly just care about the money this game is making, this is so sad because there a lot of good suggestion in the forums that just needs at least be tested for viability check
