  • I'm not exactly excited because the last event was pure torture for both sides. Games were too easy as killer and too frustrating as survivor. This time both sides battle for the same object even so this is gonna be one hell of a flame fest.
  • It is only stressful if you care about getting that 4k. If you ignore tbaggers and just play for fun without caring too much about the number of kills you get you'll not experience stress at all given the fact the survivors still have to run from you not vice versa. Playing killer can be fun as long as you don't become a sweaty boy. Sweaty killers probably almost throw up during the loading screen screen because they think their life is pointless without a 4k 😂. Sad creatures. Just play for fun, chase some people, kill them if possible and enjoy the game. Having fun isn't rocket science.
  • Git gud.
When a noed user says "git gud" 😂👍. Thanks for making me laugh. I'm a 50/50 player always rank 1 and I've never used noed. I rarely even camp or tunnel (unlike most noed users). People who need noed to win are just bad at the game. Simple as that.

Also play solo survivor for one day and look for all totems before touching a gen. Tell me how often you escaped. Most likely 0 times. You can not look for totems for minutes since a GOOD killer will typically sacrifice 1-2 survivors within those minutes. But obviously a noed user wouldn't know that as they typically get rekt all game and merely get their kills by slugging as many survivors as possible using 1 single perk slot that gives them the cheapest instadown in the game combined with more movement speed and reduced cooldown as noed users typically need to swing 10 times before they hit😂
  • My opinion:

    0k = survivors dominated
1k with many hooks on several survivors = survivors won but good game for both sides
2k with few hooks = draw
2k with 3 hooks per kill AND 1 or 2 hooks on the other 2 survivors = killer won
    3k = killer won
    4k = killer dominated
  • Poor baby. You didn't break the dull totems, rushed the gens, and got owned at the end. It'll be okay.

Pro tip: If the gens seem to be going way too fast and the killer isn't defending them they are very likely waiting on NOED. So that means you hop off gens and go cleanse those totems. Additionally, stop deluding yourself that you have the god jukes, because you don't, and just leave the game. =)

You act like everyone played in a SWF team with voice communication. If you play solo you literally have 0% chance of knowing if someone else has cleansed a totem and if you check the whole map for minutes just to end up finding the remains of a cleansed totem you're going to lose because of the minutes you wasted. So basically NOED users say: "Survivors don't have a right to win. They can either die because they spent minutes looking for totems while I facecamped the first survivor while my ruin was still up @ 5 gens OR they can die because of 1 perk slot that gets me an easy 4k". I'm starting to think that killer mains are more salty and toxic than survivors.

Show me one single video of a DBD hacker who plays on XBOX One or PS4.

Are you seriously asking for hacks?

I'm asking you to back up your claims. You claimed people can hack on console just like they do on PC. Everyone has seen videos of DBD hackers who play on PC but at the same time there's not even one single video of a dbd hacker on console so obviously your statement is not true. Hacking dbd on console is not possible. If it was possible I would have seen a hacker at least once given the fact I've been playing dbd for thousands of hours so far as killer and survivor.

No such thing as hacks on XBOX One. The killer probably let him wiggle out and lied to you.

Consoles can be hacked just as much as PC. They are, after all, just downgraded PCs.

Show me one single video of a DBD hacker who plays on XBOX One or PS4.
  • No such thing as hacks on XBOX One. The killer probably let him wiggle out and lied to you.
  • Well i don't know how many of each are at rank 15 but wouldn't like to face a legit rank 15 player.

The thing is there aren't even many "legit" rank 15s anymore. I personally know a nearly invincible rank 1 survivor who deranked to yellow ranks in like 3 days so he can find games more quickly and play against different people rather than against the same rank 1 killer over and over again. And he is by far not the only one who doesn't play with the rank that represents his skill level.

Maybe the whole match making should depend on dbd hours rather than on a meaningless rank number. Just a thought.
  • Honestly the whole rank stuff is pointless and annoying. Queues take ages depending on time and location because you're supposed to play against people of your skill level when in reality there's yellow ranks who play better than red ranks.
  • Meanwhile I had 4 people hit their decisive today when I played doctor WITH unnerving presence tier 3 (60% reduces skillcheck zone). Just how?! How can people hit a skillcheck that's shaking and barely visible?
  • NOED is a perk for killers that think they deserve a 4k after performing bad. It's that simple. Even when I was new to dbd I never even thought about using noed. It's neither fun to know you merely got a kill because a perk made you go faster while giving you a cheap instadown combined with a quicker cooldown in case you're still too bad to hit nor is it useful to get better at playing killer. It just doesn't feel right to me. It should get removed from the game just like decisive. Both things are just bad perks for people who want to have an easy win.

Also you can't cleanse all totems as a solo player as you can't tell wether someone has already cleansed a totem or not. You can't search for that 5th totem for minutes because your team needs you to do gens. So everyone who says just cleanse the totems is just ignorant.

There are many good perks in the game for both sides but honestly decisive and noed are both just game breaking. Remove or rework both perks and everything's fine. Why make a big fuzz about it? If you rely on decisive or noed that much then you simply need to: GIT GUD.
  • If you're the last survivor you are automatically sacrificed immediately. That's normal.
  • I'm usually a 50/50 player but I solely played killer today and actually had disconnects every game with no exception even though I'm running a casual bloodpoint setup today with no intention of winning at all costs. Not sure what's going on. Someone even messaged me after disconnecting saying "you will never get my toolbox". 🤔

I dont care, im not gonna wait 20 minutes to find a [BAD WORD] lobby, I just want to play for this I pay money for get fun and not a waiting simulator..

Killers pay money for fun as well and playing against a sweaty SWF team is not fun at all. I've just finished a game against a full SWF team. All of them had decisive, instaheal, prove thyself and obviously voice communication. Everytime I turned my back on a gen they were on it. My setup was casual. Just perks for bloodpoints (bbq, distressing, thrill of the hunt, devoured hope). Even though I still beat all of them after losing 4 gens in like 3 minutes (thank god I played Billy) WITHOUT tunneling or camping they still messaged me how bad I am.

I will definitely not play against a full SWF team again. I don't mind losing but playing against those sweaty guys who try to belittle and insult you as often as possible is not how I want to spend my spare time.
  • Do you have any gameplay on youtube? Also what's your complete setup (perks/addons) other that ruin and noed?
  • Clown is a strong anti looper type of killer who trades map pressure for great chase potential which can make it frustrating to play against him if you are the survivor who gets chased and maybe tunneled but he's certainly not op. The general strength of a killer comes down to his/her potential to generate map pressure, tracking qualities and his/her chase potential. The clown can somewhat track with his bottles and is good at chasing but his overall overall map pressure is on the low side in my opinion.
  • Did the other 3 survivors escape?
  • Perhaps the teachable perks could be slightly stronger on their personal characters to make survivors more unique without having too much of an impact on the game results. Example:

    - Claudette can heal 1 second quicker than other survivors who use her perk "self care"
    - Meg can sprint 1 second longer or recover quicker or run faster than other survivors who use her perk "sprint burst"
    - David can cover a bigger distance with dead hard or recover 1 second quicker than other survivors who use his perk "dead hard"
    etc.
  • Wait. I'm confused.
How are you not escaping? You're the last one alive as everyone else escaped.

As far as I know a slugged survivor can crawl out the gate safely with an RBT on.
The bear trap will still pop if you crawl out unless the pig downs you after the walls within the gate and uses the trap there. And the hatch was closed because one survivor decided to look for chests instead of leaving. He probably waited for me to die so he could use the hatch himself.
  • Well that's unfortunate. I even crouched to the hook and the killer just kept nodding and tbagging for all those minutes like so I thought I'd just dc so I can get into another game more quickly. I don't mind getting sacrificed at all but it's not exactly nice to get forced to wait for 4 minutes.
  • Are you ok?
  • bbc? 😏 Did you mean to say bbq?
  • Self care takes 32 seconds (default) right now (correct me if I'm wrong) so if you want devs to make it times 3 that would be 96 seconds. Sloppy Butcher adds another 20% I think so that'd be 115 seconds for one heal. No, just no. Healing would take longer than repairing a generator.
  • Might as well say there's free candy in the basement. I'm not falling for this insidious Bubba!
  • @ToxicFengM1n said:

Botany(unless they changed it) increases self care heal speed i believe, a good team build would be prove thyself, empathy, botany, bond

Wait... I thought botany generally increases healing speed by 33% (tier 3) and medpack efficiency no matter wether you heal yourself with self care or other survivors? The changed prove thyself seems interesting with bond. I´ll definitely try this one today. Thanks for the suggestion.

I don't know... As a survivor... you get to the door... you open it... you look back at the hooked person and say...."Do I leave or got for the unhook?"... Sometimes it feels like more fun to go for the unhooking. Other times I weigh the escape points to the unhooking points and say... "Nah! Die turd ball."

But.... when you seen them all coming and attempting to swarm the hook... why didn't you just suicide on the hook?.. If this whole situation burned you so bad? You could have sent a clear signal of being camped...Doors opened.. see them coming in to you... die on the hook.. give up those struggle points.

Don't complain about such a dumb thing... sometimes people enjoy the fun of trying for the hooked survivor... if it was a boring match up to that point.. why not?.. It is just a game.. you don't actually die IRL when you get hooked do you?

I didn´t kill myself on hook because they didn´t even open the gates and were literally swarming the hook like seconds after I got hooked so I wanted the killer to still focus on me if that makes sense. I realize it´s just a game but I still play to win and as a survivor you basically win if 3 people get out - at least in my book. But then again some people in this thread said they have fun trying to go for the "impossible unhook" as it´s more exciting to just escape without a chase so I will keep that in mind next time haha.

  • Yes! Leave kindred on the hook where they belong! Bahaha (evil laugh I think?). Seriously, though. If the pig was hitting you, they would have known even without Kindred. They knew what they were getting into and were probably going in for stacks and points. When someone loops the killer the entire game, it means the entire team is hit when it comes to points. You get nothing for benevolence and if you never saw the killer, you get nothing for bold. They were probably just trying to pip.

I would say solo play isn't as bad as you're suggesting. You're more likely to get ganged up on by SWF Toxic brats, but it's part of the territory. I would take off Kindred. It's only good when you're on the hook and that is the last place you wanna be in solo play as you don't know if anyone can get you off or if you'll be farmed, regardless. Also if you play any amount of solo play, you should know how impossible it is to know what the person on the hook wants. The arm waving means basically nothing. It can be both come and go away. Some people just twitch 'cause they're bored, I swear. Not sure how you managed to run the killer around for five gens, though. What rank are you?

I´m rank 1 survivor and killer - which is why I don´t really think/care much about pips, bloodpoints etc. I guess you´re right I´ll try something else. We´ll make it, botany knowledge or something... I like perks that help the whole team.

    Long story short:

Stop giving the Killers free hooks / sacrifices.

Thank you! Finally someone gets it.
  • Kindred allows ALL survivors to see each other AND the killer if he camps. You can use that to your advantage to rush gens IF the killer camps and get out as quickly as possible or to stay on your gen if you see someone going for the unhook etc.
I noticed people would aggressively swarm the hook whenever I run kindred and get camped. That's what's starting to annoy me. If the killer camps just rush gens and don't give him more than he deserves. That's the only point of my thread people prefer getting on my nerves for mentioning the chase or because of a single term.
  • Yet another one who doesn't understand what I was trying to say and reduces the thread on the 5 gen chase. So what's next? We have one person who reduces the thread on ONE single term, another person who reduces the thread on the chase. How long will it take for someone to realize I'm talking about the function of the perk "kindred"? Oh wait most people who play dbd are like 10 so giving me sh** for using a specific term and calling me out for "bragging" is more fun than using your head right?
  • I like how you reduce my entire thread on one single term. Totally doesn't make you look like you were trying hard to find something you can use against me.
  • If you chase one single survivor for ALL gens then that's what you are. Baby killer is a rather nice term even. In my opinion those guys are just utter trash. I probably have more hours as killer than survivor yet I would NEVER chase someone for multiple gens. That's just irrational and stubborn. Being mad at that survivor is kinda childish too. Those stubborn killers get mad over their own incompetence.

EDIT: By the way I like how you reduce my entire thread on one single term. It totally doesn't look like you were trying hard to find something you can use against me.
  • New update: Killer's loadout is hidden till the game is done. Take a look at your screenshot. Someone was still in the game.
  • If you drop chases after like 1 minute many pallets will be gone causing other survivors to go down where you couldn't catch the survivor you have chased before. That's how I win most of the time. I never chase for more than a minute. If I catch the survivor within that time, fine. If I don't - I check gens. I will ALWAYS find another survivor after a 1 minute chase because they will obviously be working on gens if you chase for a minute (which is a rather long chase even). What he did was just utter bull. Wasting 2.5 minutes on one survivor while playing without ruin just doesn't work. Also you seem to forget:

    - if you drop the chase the survivor will heal himself so there are only 3 survivors that are working on gens
    - if you go for another survivor there will be only 2 survivors working on gens
    - if you catch that second survivor at places where the first survivor wasted pallets one of the remaining 3 survivors will have to come to unhook him so there's only 2 survivors potentially working on gens (again).

That's what causes pressure on survivors. Going for that one single survivor is just stupid. You can't expect 3 people to just wait and do nothing.
  • Tru3 chased and tunneled one single survivor for 2.5 minutes without perks/addons. It takes 1 minute and 20 seconds for one survivor to finish one gen. He knows that and even told people to not chase a survivor for too long if you have no ruin. Is this thread some kind of a joke? This isn't gen rush. It's just him ignoring his own advice. 3 people basically didn't notice the killer so of course they're going to work on gens. Now take 3 people and 2.5 minutes. Of course they'll finish 4 gens. That's the result of not letting the survivor go. I never chase for too long if I notice the chased survivor wastes too much of my time. That's how I usually surprise people on gens resulting in quick hooks.
  • Well, personally I think camping shows how desperate you are and how little you care about playing a video game to have fun. I rarely play survivor at the moment myself because most red rank killers seem to have mental issues. Whenever I play killer I ignore all tbaggers and don't chase for more than 1 minute. Ironically I get 4 kills most of the time even at rank 1. Maybe that's the reason why I 4k most of the time. I just stay focused and apply pressure to all survivors instead of going crazy about someone who hits the crouch button. Eitherway it's fun to chase people instead of wasting my spare time looking at my screen for 2 minutes doing nothing. You really need to learn how to ignore tbaggers otherwise you'll stop playing the game if you let that hate get to you. I've known a lot of people who mained killer and got sick of tbaggers and most of them started camping at some point. That was usually just before they quit the game. Don't be like them.
  • You won't get better at chasing people by watching a video. Just play a lot (both sides killer+survivor) and you will get better as you will automatically learn what you can use to your advantage and what not. Dbd isn't rocket science.
  • I was kind of disappointed that we can't go upstairs in her house. Would have been a good location to hide a totem or good for gen placement combined with a window.
  • I'm on XboxOne and I was talking about toxic SWF. They always act like total brats antagonizing the person who plays killer no matter how he/she plays. It's disgusting and causes killers to be toxic towards solo players who do nothing wrong (for instance).

EDIT: Accidentely said "xbox 360" haha. Yeah I got 360d too often I guess.
  • Apparently people can't just play this game without acting like total brats.
  • @The_Trapper said:
My advice, take as you wish, is to play him more to see how decent survivors counter him.

After thousands of hours I´ve faced pretty much any red rank survivor/killer on my platform multiple times so I´m fairly sure I know what decent survivors play like. Billy´s chainsaw is as "situational" as his melee weapon when using instasaw addons and that´s the issue. Bubba´s chainsaw is slow as hell. His chainsaw typically hits with the 4th hit (if the survivor runs in a straight line like a tutorial bot) as his movement speed drops to a lousy 86% while revving the chainsaw if I remember correctly actually allowing survivors to vault in time, reach a pallet or run around objects. Myers needs to stalk AND has a 60 second timer at tier 3 unless he uses Fragrant Tuft Of Hair. Meanwhile Billy´s chainsaw hits over window vaults, while dropping a pallet or even just by randomly sprinting through the map like every game due to his 230% chainsaw speed and he even has 100% movement speed whilerevving his chainsaw. That´s ridiculous. Just my opinion.

  • It´s probably the adrenaline. I remember when I played against a sweaty SWF team the other day and they were like really mad after losing and texted me for an hour ish. Later on one of them did admit it was the stress during the game so he apologized and everything was fine again.

  • @The_Trapper said:

    sounds like you just struggle.

I say he´s op and you immediately think I´m a survivor main who struggles against him. That´s ridiculous. I´m a 50/50 player and I honestly don´t know if I have ever lost a game when playing Billy. He´s just that easy to play. You can pretty much always chainsaw people instead of using the melee weapon especially when using instasaw addons. I even get vault or pallet chainsaws like everytime I play him. It´s just ridiculous how people consider him "balanced".

  • @The_Trapper said:
Hillbilly is great, high-skill for high reward

Holding one button at point blank range takes high skill?

  • Depends on my mood and the survivor in question. If it´s a survivor who did a lot during the game I´ll let the killer hook me to save him/her and kill myself on hook so everyone else gets out. If the survivor was one of those "urban invasions" who appear to be glued to their crouch button I´ll open the gate and not even think a second before leaving.

  • Personally I think Hillbilly is just easy mode in this game. He is ridiculously easy to play (by far easier than leatherface), has the most map pressure in the whole game, can instadown quickly, has a low penalty for bumping into obstacles, can somewhat counter small loops even by doing sharp turns during his sprint, moves at survivor speed even while revving his chainsaw and can go mach 1 during the chainsaw sprint. He is somewhat op but he´s never going to get nerfed because it´s one of the original killers. Even the devs said if you want to win just play Billy which makes him kind of boring in my opinion.
