  • well, I wouldn't say that being injured is an unnecessary condition for self-care, it's how the perk works. It is true tho that devs changed how perks were created, i.e. older perks give bona, no requirements (iron will, enduring, sprint burst, adrenaline, dead hard, unbreakable), while every new perk has some requirement, even if easy (deliverance, MoM, inner strength).

Now, the requirements is what balance a perk, for example deliverance and unbreakable have similar effects, both let yourself be autonomous to save you, but the first have a requirement, while the other has not (that's why unbreakable is meta, while deliverance it's not).

  • full slug Freddy (sloppy, thanatophobia, deerstalker, coulrophobia), when fun isn't allowed.

  • they care about money, every balance change they make is just a band-aid, devs are unreliable for every actual fix (see matchmaking where they're not even trying to understand the issue, rather changing the whole thing, or nurse, never been touched again because it's not a survivor priority and nobody uses her anymore), bugs like ghost chainsaw are still in the game, they promised dedicated servers without having any skill required and now dedicated servers are one of the major problem of the game (like every killer got a new bug due to servers).

if you want to have fun in this game you need to understand two thing:

    1. devs are incompetent, skill-wise and game knowledge-wise;
    2. you're gonna certain games, no matter what you do, because that's how game works, that's how devs want the game to work.
  • if you're not having fun anymore I'd suggest you to drop the game, or at least take a big pause from it. So many people have been "ruined" by this game, most of them are content creator, forced to play this game despite hating it.

  • obsessions means nothing, every survivor's obsession perk say "you become the obsession", like it's something I should care or being scared of. They should make being the obsession a real threat, so that at least there's some kind of risk involved in running such perks.

  • simply you put a perk for a reason. The times I've won because ds, unbreakable or adrenaline are uncountable. Just accept this game is trash, since a single perk can completely change the outcome of the match.

  • you're talking to a community who literally lives for skins: you can easily search threads asking about legacy, asking about deathgarden mask on ps4, and people literally joying because they introduced legendary skins.

  • no way it's really random. Not only the tome perks in it demonstrate it (if they did it once, what tell us they did it only once?), but the meta best selling perks rarely are in it, the new DLCs perks come out on the shrine only after a long time (which, statistically it could happen sometimes that a new perk pops out on the shrine 2 weeks after was introduced, right?).

  • @Volfawott but there is a chance. The definition of taking the game in hostages doesn't revolve around something being hard and dependent on someone else actions. If there is a chance besides disconnecting to end the match, then it's not hostage. It's sure an outdated and ambiguous term, which is why should be addressed.

  • the entire “taking the game in hostage” definition needs to be change. Because even if i bodyblock a survivor for the entire game, the other survivors can repair all generators, trigger egc, then the game ends.

  • up the ante, abysmal bonus for a useless mechanic.

  • I mean who cares, if you give this chance it automatically gets deleted the chance to loot keys from the chest, which is why plunder's+ace in the hole build is run.

  • among the strongest, dead hard is undisputedly the best perk by far, easy to proc, multiple uses, many direct counters to killers' powers.

  • to these days they still haven't addressed the matchmaking issue, we don't know if it's a code error or lacking of players. To bypass completely the problem they're gonna introduce a new matchmaking system, probably as busted and even more exploitable.

  • this is not a secondary objective, rather an alternative objective. It means that if survivors ######### up, they can still win, another in-game built-in second chance, the killer would be under even harder pressure than it's now... no thanks, it doesn't fit the game's theme either.

  • Yeah, it offers the same “mindgames” spirit does. Lacking of informations, such as billy’s permanent revving sound. Plus this is more a glitch than a bug, since you’re able to reproduce it pretty consistently, not that it’s that useful, but still...

  • yeah except that using a perk to mitigate a bug in the game it's not healthy. just like running deerstalker because survivors on the ground don't make any sounds (for 6 months now), it's just stupid, they should fix the issue in the first place.

  • my rank 1 (I play since 2017) it hasn't the same value of someone with 100 hrs. It's not being boosted, it's just matchmaking being #########, allowing people to rank up easily with just a saving build and not considering devotion while matching.

  • lmao, the guy clearly has balanced landing, he gets the sprint burst, which means he's not exhausted, then he didn't get the stagger effect. He even says it in the video...

  • stealth is probably the most boring interaction in the game, this mode basically is just wait for the gens to complete themselves, period. Survivors can just hide the entire time, since there's no reason to expose doing a gen, while killers would just struggle looking for survivors, since you basically remove the general interaction which is one of the easiest tracking place for killers. Doc would just become meta along with whispers.

also, there is nothing the killer can do to stop gens, since they keep progressing no matter what, so no, horrible idea.

  • it's bad matchmaking (rank 15 being matched with red ranks) and it's bad core game design (for instance I've been matched with 100 hours red ranks while I play since 2017, which clearly isn't right). And the thing is only gonna get worse when cross-play will be introduced.

  • you can just do the gen and leave... you let them 2 hooks you then you're fine.

1° It's a thread looking for OPINIONS, meaning I'm not stating facts

2° "your thread is already invalidated by the fact that you condone noed for certain killer" So... I can 4k with Freddy a 4 men SWF red ranks without perks, but with Legion, as he's a weak tier killer, I need more specific perks or even a map pick to handle a good survs team. Yes... Invalidated... sure... We don't need some perks (specific for each playstyle and gamer) to get a 4k in red ranks with low tier killers...

3° I'm a good looper, and if you're not a noob player (again, IN MY OPINION) you know how to be sltealthy or how to loop the killer, no hits, no hook, no DS needed, change it for another perk

where are you when I fight in threads to say that mori/tunneling aren't uncounterable?

but anyways, people at red ranks don't use ds as anti tunneling, rather 60 seconds god mode, and also to scare the killer, since is a major momentum loss and there's no reason not to use it.

also, maybe you're not a good legion and you still need noed to win? it's the same argument you used in the lat paragraph, this should make you understand that it's not exactly right.

  • in a world where mori spam has never been report worthy by any means, then a forum mod randomly says it's bannable then (rightfully) mori spam gets fixed, I don't know anymore what is bannable. (for example, on the official forum report page it's stated that afk wraith it's not bannable, while in the in-game report section it does)

  • your thread is already invalidated by the fact that you condone noed for certain killer, it's a noob perk no matter what or it isn't at all, there aren't other options.

    also:

    • DS (If you know how not to get hit you won't get tunneled)

what does it even mean? you're probably confusing crutch perk with noob perk, basically only urban is a noob perk.

  • to buy time for the team/to scout a possible noed.

  • they entirely changed how perks are designed. Every newer perk has requirements to be met in order to gain actual advantage, which isn't the case for the older perks (MoM is the exception, but you know, gotta sell that DLC somehow, right?). No wonder why literally every meta perk is very old.

Core visions and ideologies change. People who always say "DBD was supposed to be a hide and seek thriller not looping simulator" annoy me, this kind of gameplay that was focused entirely on hiding and not getting caught is clearly not sustainable because it has been tried multiple times in the past in multiple different games. Hide or Die sucks, F13 sucked, etc. the list goes on and on.

lmao, be mad about it, but it's a matter of fact, looping was never thought.

  • there are so many bugs and issues I've literally lost the count (grabs, hatchet hits, ghost chainsaw since 2016 btw, ghost face detection, dedicated servers).

  • no, game was meant to be hide and seek. If you watch old trailers they never show actual looping, rather random pallet dropping while killer chases you.

Of course you can win on any map but obiviously there are maps favouring survirors or killers. And I think devilboy1234603 explained why very well.

How else can interpret map stats? Are you going to argue that Hadonfield is actually good for killers too? Because according to stats it's one of the worst maps for killers too. So it all matches.

    Here are stats. https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/106566/

I'm arguing that they gave us badly taken data (devs themselves said that we shouldn't consider that data), it doesn't tell us the lobby general rank, SWFs stats, if the rank count was taken before or after the match, the percentage of red ranks (and seeing that every deadliest map is indoor, which is baby survivors hell, I don't think that many). Also, for example the deadliest map is Hawkins, which was the latest map released at that time, which gives us a non indifferent bias.

and again, nurse is the worst killer according to stats, which is untrue, the percentages are messed by low ranks.

According to stats I think the Game was one of the best maps for killer. And I think the same. These 4 pallets mean jack ######### when the rest of the map is not save. It is small and it is very easy to control the gens. If you think it's a survivor map then you are either not a very good killer or too biased or don't play survivor.

according to the stats nurse is the worst killer. The worst thing you can do with stats is instantly jump to conclusions, without considering other variables...

When you get killer, and get game map, can you tell me you’re outcome?

it doesn't matter the outcome, I could still 4k every match but the map is strong for survivors.

figure this, back in the days survivors still accomplished to lose in a coldwind map, despite there were a ######### ton of pallets, every god loop was untouched and in every tile survivors could see the killer for the entire time. Even if survivors lost it doesn't mean that the map was balanced at all.

  • the map has literally 4 certain super strong pallets condensed in one area plus the other rng based locations aren't remotely hard to learn and still those pallets are strong and it has a rng based super safe gen, so no, it's one of the strongest survivors maps.

  • no, just like I don't like unique chase and terror radius music, it ruins that only moment of """fear""" where you don't know the who's killer. They scratched unique hooks and I don't see why they added unique music.

  • rng, major unbalance, crappy bugs and undedicated servers

    nuff said

  • what's the point of using every other perk which isn't meta? none, that's why everybody runs meta and not mediocre perks like calm spirit, alert, haunted grounds, and so on. that's why devs should heavily change perks to shift the meta.

  • weird flex but ok

  • right now no. In the future who knows? They already made such random and radical decision change in the past.

  • high ping is not arbitrary (unless we talking about vpn killer, that's another story), and you cannot say that people with McDonald's internet shouldn't play, despite the fact that they ruin the experience, because not everyone has money, bla bla and other stupid bs.

  • well actually it was announced for December 2018, they have their own definition of "soon".

  • it didn't matter, they're going to completely avoid solving the issues just to introduce an entire different system.

  • rank means absolutely nothing. It means nothing to devs, since they're not fixing matchmaking, or at least trying to understand its problem, rather they are gonna band-aid the entire system, also there aren't any rewards (and for some reasons maybe it's better). It should means nothing to players either, since it obsolete, you can still derank while winning (which is something unacceptable from someone who played a lot of fighting games in the past), the game doesn't awards you for playing good, it awards you for playing how the game itself wants and that's stupid.

  • most of the times in this game you either lose because your teammates were trash, because game unbalance or because bugs. Since there are so many instances where you are not directly responsible for your loss, people tend to get angry very easily and throw that anger back at everyone.

  • who knows, despite how much I like to call out how devs are incompetent at their own game, I think it's just random, like I can't believe they genuinely think that open handed is better than iron will, for example.

also, for #########'s sake, perks are in alphabetical order, even based on the games language, I'm tired of seeing even legacy streamer looking for a specific perk without understand it.

  • being a good face camping covering job means messing around and falling down the hill?

literally, just use bt or ds, do hard trades when the person is near the next phase, use unbreakable if he follows the unhooked. You have 1 minute of free gen progression while he camps you.

  • please let's trade accounts, yours is probably blessed not to get Badham every ######### time!

  • borrowed time and decisive strike.

  • it would lead to a 50-50 for the killer, which is literally the same thing as now, so it wouldn't matter. Also the real problem isn't the endgame scenario, rather everything before the endgame scenario.

  • "is a perk thats easy to -waste/bait- (use) and discourages being chased"

here I corrected the mistake in your essay. Chase extender and time (your time, not survivors one) wasters. That's why top tier.
