hexes are trash, too unreliable to be considered good. Sure pop is inferior to ruin, but it's much more consistent.
-
devs want the game to be survivor sided, I'm fine with it, it's marketing.
-
see you in months then, LeL.
-
basically halloween. Not because the game was balanced whatsoever, but because it was the first step of this game to become somewhat mainstream, I mean, their second DLC, with the first one being free, was Michael Myers, one of the 4 horror genre mile stones (the other being Freddy, Jason and LF).
-
survivors still crying out because devs nerfed old BnP, like it was a fun and interactive mechanic.
-
sure, look at Nurse.
-
people aren't upset because of the nerf. They're upset because this is the same awful treatment BHVR has reserved for Legion, Nurse and now Billy. They said they were gonna look at the add-ons, then applied an unnecessary nerf to the basekit, slapping a cooldown red bar.
-
the worst hook spawn rate is probably grim pantry or cowshed, legit deadzone land. Midwhich is pure trash, depends on which floor you are, but most of the times hooks are decently close, especially in the hallways, if you are in some rooms and you didn't break the doors tho, oh boi.
-
wouldn't change anything if they regenerate, especially at that rate.
-
no, it will remain mediocre like now. You never get blinded with current lightborn, and 10 seconds of aura reading for one survivor it's not good, you will gain advantage of it roughly 3 times in the entire match and it won't be a great advantage.
-
I don't understand Spanish, I kinda learn it during middle school, but forgot it in the years (and I really should re-learn it). Despite this I still understand when people call me "campero y tunelero", man I love how languages are all connected!
-
no, unless you can afford to literally body block a key from being picked up, but it becomes a meme strategy at this point.
-
people said the same thing when dedicated servers were about to come out.
-
depends all on the cooldown and the overheat build up. They basically removed any kind of revving mindgame at lockers and pallets.
-
the only thing I remember was ptb nemesis or beast of prey Legion, during Oni's ptb. They changed for the 5th time deep wound, they will never admit how that mechanics sucks.

which is flashlight immunity and 16 seconds of free aura reading.
barbeque is used and that gives 4. admittedly it also gives double bp tho.
first of all, it's 10 seconds, second of all it's for just for that one survivor that tried to blind you, if he tries to blind you at a pallet, you're gonna break it, get the hit and being able to track him even without the aura reading, except on certain maps, like said.

the difference being if they try and blind you, you get to see their aura for 16 seconds. that's massive.
no, it's gonna be decent on certain maps, and it's gonna come into play just once per survivor with flashlight.
-
they're trying to omologate every killer, so that baby players don't get too confused (for example they changed Myers T1 not being detected by spine chill). When they nerfed nurse it was obvious how they would have nerfed billy. I'm just happy they didn't slapped a 20 seconds cooldown after you land a chainsaw, which it was my biggest fear.
-
getting blinded with current lightborn is basically impossible, if buffed lightborn gives blind immunity it won't change that much. It's decent now, it will be decent when buffed.
-
might become add-on dependent if they left carburator or spark plug (which I really don't think so), and if revving your chainsaw faster means less overheat build-up.
-
I'm pretty sure their main goal is to add a red bar on every killer.
-
yes, offerings come always into play, offerings aren't even remotely tied to the single game, offerings are into killers basekit. LMAO.
-
pretty useless comparison term. Nurse is clearly the best chase ender, but she sucks at tracking or finding survivors, especially after her nerf.
When looking into killers you need to consider the whole package, chase potential isn't enough.
-
play how you want. You paid money for the game, never let anyone tell you how to play the game.

i called it as the PTB was going live. While i think its an inherently good change, They need to stop making changes like this in the future. This is what extensive testing should do from the PTB not weeks after it goes live lol.
yeah, people needs to open their eyes in front of these scummy tactics, instead of minimizing the thing, just because it was a healthy change.
-
it's just the same tactic they used with Ash. They boosted the sales with a strong mechanic, just to nerf it weeks after. Classic BHVR.

are you sure about it? as killer you can chose on which side you break pallet, in what direction are you running in jungle gyms or T/L walls
and you can decide ok lets break this pallet when survivor is on side where there isnt single pallet xd
ofc you may tell its survivor who runs 1st to jungle gym, but hes running away from you so as killer you can freely change direction at gym
survivors can abuse 3rd person camera, at every common loop there's a safe spot from which survivors can check where the killer is coming from. Not to talk about those all-seeing loops, like Thompson's house fences, where all you need to do as survivor is not being dumb.
the only things a killer can do is looping in a certain way, so that the survivor takes a mid-vault, or zoning, which doesn't always secure a hit.
-
totally. Wglf is among the weakest perk of survivors. Because it doesn't grant any bonus during the match. There is literally no reason to run it over most other perks.
-
it's not even about the cooldown, it's about how loops work. A killer doesn't gain much advantage in knowing where pallets are, because survivors control looping. The only thing killers can do with this perk is trying to block the way to some loops, but it's such a useless perk for killers.
-
spine chill is just boring against a stealth squad, it doesn't need a nerf. There are many other perks way stronger than spine chill.
-
it's a never ending circle. They put DC penalties? People started killing themselves on 1st hook. You put penalties on 1st hook death? As soon as they get unhooked, people would just ran into the killer.

This is a given, but the topic isn't winning or losing. It's having a chance to win that is important. Why play a game where you will lose no matter what?
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1402285#Comment_1402285
This is the important aspect of this conversation and should be the focus of discussion.
people can play a game for a variety of reasons, and if they play killer because they want to win, then there's something wrong in their motivation. Killer most of the times do not have any chance of winning, if they have a small window of winning is usually achieved after a lot of high pressuring actions and most importantly all of their efforts can instantly be vanished by any little, insignificant error/bug/survivor perk.
Hence, I don't even know why people still play killer nowadays.
-
yes, at high ranks you need to understand that you will lose some games, no matter what.
-
the only remaining available items are "exhaustion reducer" and "stunner", which are far too powerful to be introduced.

ye my guy in a swf prob, but not in solo q when everyone is just around the hook and he is shocking every single person, can u tell that to my teammates pls
then the problem is your team, stop saying something has no counter just because your team is trash.
-
bruh, literally one goes for the save, get shocked, then during the cooldown another survivor behind the Doc goes for the save.
"theres literally nothing u can do", maybe playing will teach you how to counter killers, and thanks god you're probably never been around when Doc had the instagrab, oh boi, you would have loved it!
-
never found anyone, but saw a lot of survivors too much naive, like farming with a Bubba in the basement.
-
play how you want, you're not harming anyone if you're playing toxic or like a douche. The only mistake you made was thinking that a killer win was you're merit, while it's always survivors being inefficient.
-
I laughed so hard when I read that developer asking if cleansing the totems he hid was considered cheating, during the loading screen. Like, they're not even hid, lmao.

Okay, I understand what you're saying. That doesn't mean this is a bad idea though, right? If it's not her issue it wouldn't make her too strong, right? Just a QOL change?
it's a meaningless change, it would be strong only with iri head (as it is now), otherwise it wouldn't be so strong, since it would incentive people to use hatchets and reward a good huntress.
-
the reason why huntress is trash it's not because she has to reload, rather her speed (which cause her to be still affected by infinites) and her map dependance (cause big hitboxes like Ormond's boulders or indoor).
-
I mean, the last time event offerings weren't rare was during the first halloween event, since Lunar Year they decided to make event offerings very rare, hence I don't think they'll ever change the rarity.
-
downrank till yellow ranks, then play a game without using your power, M1 pure action, at least 9 hooks and 4k. If gens go too fast slug everyone and hook them at last. pretty general advises, but plague is destroyed by the awful ranking system, because using her power means losing chase emblem, because you'll often one shot, and if survivors cleanse they'll subtract you points because they fully heal.
-
before the patch went live I can confirm that there were both the head and the crown in the customization slot.
-
the ranking system is kinda a joke, as killer you have to play dumb, as survivor you have to rely on other people to pip (safety pip is kinda easy tho, just do a gen and couple borrowed saves). Also, most of the times you don't pip because you don't reach the next emblem tier just for few points, that's even more stupid.
-
Find somebody early, down him, pray god the basement is near you, proceed to basement Trapper camp.
-
"Survivors hiding doesn't work against good killers, and most killers hate playing against hiding survivors",
false. If survivors hide, the entire time, unless it's Doctor, the killer won't find them easily, because if there are no place to start the hunt, you're screwed.
also, even with whispers, at red ranks, there are so many occasions while as killer you know due to whispers that a survivor is near, but since you can't lose time, you have to search somewhere else.
-
none. A killer can't win 12 chases, you have to camp or tunnel at key moments, if you play how survivors want (chase, hook, chase other survivor saw with bbq, repeat...) you will hardly 4k, unless you're facing a bad team.
-
it's probably due auto aim, from what I can understand.
-
I mean, it has event-based cosmetics, there’s a decent mechanic to obtain them, rather than just doing gens or that orange juice from the first halloween event. Sure, hella bugs and even bugged offering, but compared to the 3rd anniversary event, which was literally just gens reskin, it’s way better.
