Permanophobia: Legion + Legion Pin + Never Sleep Pills + Sloppy Butcher + Thanatophobia + Jolt + Flexible (currently Lightborn).
Give up on losing the Thanato debuff.
Stealthy Wesker: Wesker + Distressing + Infectious Fright + Lethal Pursuer + Flexible (currently Lightborn).
A map-wide TR = No TR.
The Field Medic: Rebecca + Empathy + Better Than New + Aftercare + Botany Knowledge.
You're the healer, and you see all.
Swiss-Army Knife: Chris Redfield + Hyperfocus + Flashbang + Counterforce + Dead Hard.
Fits Chris' profile and is flexible enough to be useful in most match.

50% or more of the time, im in a sprint, i press dead hard, and it doesnt work. fix it.
for all the 100 hour killer mains that occupy the forums and reply "skill issue" and don't actually play the game, they've added a delay to dead hard. its not ping, even though that plays a factor in everything else in the game, its not a skill issue, its a they nerfed it twice and didn't mention it. if i press shift and my dead hard button, it should work just like any other exhaustion perk. fix this mess.

I've won more games against Wesker than I have lost, but I still hate going against him. Almost every game I play is against him now and it's irritating. His voice lines also bug me.
Still don't agree with people DCing, but I don't blame them.
That's the point of his taunt. To taunt you.
Side note, but did you know in some way you can already play as Shaggy in DbD? Indeed, in Scream, Stu, one of the two killers using the classic Ghostface look, is the same actor who played Shaggy in the first and second live action movies of Scooby-Doo. So, technically, you CAN play as him.
-
Remember that Wesker's God Complex made him wanting to be the one and only god. And he doesn't like to share. I doubt he sees any other Killer as more than either a hindrance to his plans, or lackeys and pawns to use. However, he may have an interest in the Blight's research and how it could further his own agenda.

I don’t think those Legion mend auras are extended either are they?
I meant the add-on, Stab Wound Studies, that reveal the aura of survivors who mended for 4 seconds afterward. Paired with the stylish sunglasses, you can see the aura of them mending AND a few seconds after. And I may have thought it was from Lethal.

The word "duration" is literally there. BBQ has duration. Aura reading hook (don't remember its name) has duration. Lethal itself has duration. Ther's no duration in Awareness now. Auras are reveald only while you are carrying the survivour.
And yeah, you can say smth like "you juggle the words here", but no. I am not, that's just how lethal works with ALL other perks and effects: there's Wraith wallhack addon, there's Myers's wallhack addons (Mirrors), there's Hangman's Trick and all those effects work only while you have special conditions: being cloacked, pressing M2, carrying survivour. Lethal has no value for those situations.
And only Awareness somehow has it now even though developers particularly stated it mustn't.
Ah, so it was stated. Then yes, it is indeed a bug. Thanks for the screenshot + explanation. I was just basing myself on what I saw in game.

In addition to the above reply, note that you can also tell Lethal doesn’t work on auras that don’t have a set duration because, for instance, it doesn’t make you see Nurse’s Calling auras for two more seconds either.
It doesn't? Funny, I thought for sure it did. Or maybe I'm mistaking it with Legion's Aura reading of people mending.

Nope.

It's not really my style, but I do like it.
In general I prefer the original skins Legion has, so I wouldn't use that one.
Legion does have the most "different" skins of all killers. The simple fact that each skin is actually a different person makes them one of the best killer BHVR made imo.
But Hunk's is amazing, albeit a bit buggy and lackluster when it goes to chase music. Then again, Legion has the best chase music AND the unique ability to actually change it with addons - something truly formidable.

Lethal works with effects that have any timed duration. If there's no timed duration, lethal doesn't work with that effect.
Lethal doesn't work with Myers mirrors but does work with other aura reading addons: if it says Myers will see auras 2 more seconds, then lethal prolongs those 2 seconds. If there's no time, there's no lethal value because
there's nothing to prolong. Same with Hangman's Trick, for example. No time duration, no prolonging by Lethal. That's why they removed time from Awareness completely (to remove value, not to decrese it), and that's why lethal value with Awareness is totaly bug.
It's not about whether 2 seconds are more problematic than 4 or not, it's about this synergy isn't intended.
Quote from the wiki:
"You have been designed to track down and eliminate targets.
- At the start of the Trial, the Auras
- of all Survivors
- are revealed to you for 7/8/9 seconds.
- Extends the duration of a Survivor's Aura being revealed to you by +2 seconds.
Lethal Pursuer benefits from its own effect."
Where does it says it only works with time duration?
-
Funny, I did it in a single try as Wesker in ERPD
-
I find it useful for the peer pressure it gives to the survivor to hear that.
Also, tbh, since his power is mostly useless on loops, it makes me use it more. That's a few BP gained.

@IlliterateGenocide said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3177842#Comment_3177842
well they nerfed in the first place because "certain killers" cough could use it with lethal, so why does it work with lethal if that was there whole problem
Because it used to have a baseline duration after carrying a survivor that, added with lethal, shown survivors for a period of time long enough to be able to catch them - I think it was like 4 seconds or the like, I'll admit the numbers elude me - but now only Lethal's effect of 2 seconds work, and 2 seconds is way less problematic.
-
This is called perk compatibility and isn't a bug whatsoever.
-
I believe it is intended.

Okay sorry i don't think and honestly not care how much your suggestions would help or work because there will always be jerks and they will always find a way to sabotage their teammates if they don't like how they game goes.
But just one point in your argumentation is hilarious for me:
We need to remove the incentive for survivors to try and work with killers... so.... start punishing Killers who are breaking rules by playing Dungeon Master and trolling certain players, or favoring certain players over others. Killers job is to kill everyone. The end.
You begin point 3 saying to do something with survivor and then straight go into punishing killers. And I get what you mean, by making killer less prone to working with survivor the latter are less inclined to risk even trying it. But the flow in the argumentation is just hilarious.
"We need party A to do X less, so let's punish party B for Y."
Agreed. But he has made another topic who shows he thinks Killer should be punished for winning, so I ain't surprised.

You're in the minority. I should start recording all my games to make a compilation in a short amount of time. There are MANY scummy killers out there, that have no issues not hooking the 2nd to last survivor, and using them to find the last one.. ESPECIALLY if you looped the killer well during the match or were hard to catch.
The only minority here is you, mate. Between this and asking survivors buff because they lost, it's quite clear you're mainly here to stir the hornet's nest. But please, make your compilation in KYF.

In no particular order:
- Player attitude: People being toxic to each other just for playing the game (doing gens quickly, tunneling, bodyblocking, camping, using Discord, using certain killers, using certain perks/items/add-ons/offerings, etc). Quitting the moment something doesn't go the way they want. Taking out frustration from one match on another. So on and so forth. Seriously, grow up.
- The gap between solo queue and SWF: Trying to juggle balance while both are as different from each other as can be is how the game ends up with situations like things that are useless for/against SWF, things held back so they aren't overly oppressive against solo, so on and so forth. Solo queue does not mean bad at the game. SWF does not mean good at the game. SWF only means the ability to tell each other information that SWF cannot. So solo should be buffed to have the same level of info and communication possible. For instance, a ping wheel with preset messages on a short cooldown to prevent spam: "Killer nearby"/"I’ll go for the unhook"/etc. Then, all survivors will be "SWF", meaning no more juggling balance between solo and SWF.
- Map design and tile spawn logic: Some maps are far too large. Some maps are too small. Gideon has too many pallets, all of which are way too safe, but basically no good windows at all in addition to being too small. Midwich has basically no good loops and is a pure hold-W benchmark test map, and probably has the worst gate positions in the game for survivors. So on and so forth. Tile spawn logic allows for absurd generations such as two long wall jungle gyms connected into shack, which is horrendously overpowered. It also allows for absolutely giant deadzones where there's basically nothing for a survivor in any capacity. Both bounds need to be condensed so it can't be so extreme in either direction.

- Ban people for being toxic. I am not talking about perma-bans. But give them 24 hours ban for example. (I am talking about end game toxicity btw, game mechanics are not toxic even they used for this way).
- Solo survivors needs love, we all know that. Hope we can get good buffs soon.
- Honestly the last maps were not that bad. Garden of Joy has strong main building but rest of map is good. Haddonfield is fair map. I also loved new RPD, it feels fair both sides. But we have a lot problematic maps and they needs to be balanced tho.
I wish I could upvote you both more than one time.

Cool story bro. I bet you play Horde and your favorite character is Sylvanas. Really though I wish the forums showed total hours played and how much on each side.
Also yeah you're right Tsulan. 50 seconds collectively but not necessarily 50 seconds real time, though the variables change depending on the circumstances of the match.

Btw im in no way saying anything is OP or whatever, I literally run an all aura build so of course gens will be my downfall, but just wanted to give a little post about this match
Not being good at mindgames and loops doesn't mean they're not good at the game, and the proof is in the result.

Tiny buffs? Literally 50 extra seconds minimum on top of buffed perks like pain res, on top of better chase potential because of shortened CD on hit, on top of the survivor nerfs. The downplay is real.

Please. I've been in the WoW forum enough to know using a profil picture does not a killer make. Disguising yourself as a Killer to then be obviously survivor biased, or the opposite, is blatantly easy. Don't judge a book by its cover, but by what it says.

I already hated Feng and Felix RE skins. I don't wanna see same thing happens to Rebecca.
Ditto on the Feng and Felix hate. Well, not that they got RE skins, but that they got skins of people we can already play as. I mean they could have added like a Brad Vickers skin, or a Barry Burton one. that would've been awesome. And even a Sherry Birkins from RE6, or an Excella skin for Jane. There's a lot to do with RE, but no we had the same people we already had.

When you get assaulted by a person in a smiling mask, you get attacked by the Legion, no matter who's behind that mask.

I mean if someone's gonna quit the game after one bad match, shows they don't have much patience. Literally every multiplayer game has toxic players and tactics that while legit, are frowned upon, i.e. face camping. Dbd is a good game, i started less than a month ago, and I have my share of terrible matches both as killer and survivor. But i also have really good ones, where GGs were exchanged, compliments and advice given.
Just gotta take the rough with the smooth and not worry about it too much. I dislike getting slugged by nurses as much as the next player but it's just finish the game and on to the next one.
The fact that OP explained he's a "Hot head, impulsive lad" and immediately demanded if there was a chat - probably to say some compliments and ask some advice on how to get better no doubt /s - further proves that he probably would become part of "the problem".
Except the "problem" isn't a DBD one. Welcome to the magnificent world of PvP games. Everybody is worthless except you (me especially from what I've gathered in my match).
@Street said:
Friend was caught first, Leatherface proceeded to camp the hook at the very start of the match. It's nothing unusual for most of you. But then I told my pal "That's it. This was your match." He's a hot head, impulsive lad and right away asked if there's a chat after I explained him the situation.
So this is what experience for new players look like ? How many potential customers are already lost and how many will be, because of ignorance and reluctance to fix core issues ? But since a few new IPs are in development I had no hopes posting this.
Camping and tunnelling are the symptoms and in those small attempts to cure it, they've tried to cure the symptoms, not the reason. And the reason - it's rewarding "tactic".
Everyone with "get swf, get good" etc, please dont bother. There will always be soloq and you can't do anything about it. "Deal with it, accept or leave" to the trash bin as well. You can say this regarding any bad or unfortunate event irl, but it's not worth the oxygen. If anyone in your life try to rob you of your money, joy or your time and you're okay with that I'm truly sorry for you. It's very sad that everyone just accept every present issue like smth normal, turning a blind eye, pressing ready over and over again.
Everyone talk about toxicity but almost no one wants to improve situation. Be more kind and forgiving to each other. Only complaints and revenge. Huge amount of players forget or never bother at all that their opponents are real, breathing people. Dominate on the screen, that's what matters, right ?
To address OP's post, yes, this is the new player experience and no, it's not going anywhere, be it Killer side or Survivor side. Also, "Be more kind and forgiving", but your friend doesn't seem to be the type, and neither are you with the way you dismiss answers you deem worthy of "the trash bin" and "not worth the oxygen". I can smell a certain double standard here actually.
But I don't blame you. We're human, a.k.a the opposite of perfection. And I'm way too faulty to throw the stone at anyone.
All of this to say, yeah, shame that happened to your friend. But what can you, or anyone, do about it? Ban every toxic player? Now that would reduce the game's popularity by a lot.

Easy to say when the killer stays on purpose only on one side of the map and it's solo queue.
How many times does this happen really? I mean purposefully
I mean I'm a K-main, and more often than not I stay near a gen because it nears completion and I know for a fact there's survivors nearby waiting for me to leave for a millisecond before rushing.
In my 5 years of playing I've never tried to get a 3 gen situation, but I have been in so many because people simply don't check. Now I don't dismiss the fact that some people to aim for a 3-gen, but I very much doubt it's a common occurrence at all.

Sorry, but there is simply no correlation between "survivor entitlement" and hatch escapes. A survivor player would have to be massively deluded to think they're amazing for getting a hatch escape after a 3K.
From a killer perspective, I have zero cares over the last survivor getting a hatch escape. As far as I'm concerned, I've already won after the 3rd kill - anything beyond that is just gravy.
If you knew the number of survivors I've met who scream "EZ" when they get an hatch escape after I've killed everyone...
-
The typical mistake is to chain gens as you see them. Don't do that. Always try to "Skip" one.
-
I like to use Hyperfocus in itself without anything else because it helps me practice hitting Great skillchecks more often and rewards it, without really removing anything if I fail.
