The only reason I can think of is they do not know how to differentiate between SWF and solo queues after the game.why would doing it for solo queues be a problem?
False reports clogging up the system, perks and addons can make every game different, if someone uses a Killer addon to see through walls for example they shouldnt get reported for wall hacking, they want players to see what each one was using at the end of the game so certain things happening made sense, thats not the problem it all comes down to SWF abusing that info when someone dies.
False reports clogging the system? That's a stretch don't you think? Just make reporting unavailable until the end of the match. Unless you're talking about steam reports through the overlay.
False reports like "the killer camped" ?^^

You must be playing a different game than me.
Literally EVERY patch is a nerf to KILLER.
I can remember 2 patches that favored killer so far.
That is ONE patch per year.
One was when the gen regression came into the game and the other was when they FIXED the palletvacuum, and the pallet nerfs are already halfway reversed.
You should clearly read the patch notes every now and than.
Maybe you are one eyed blind because of your bias.
Play some killer for a change up and than come back to complain. -

I never thought of it that way. Freddy is DbDs Jesus Christ, he was the sacrificial lamb. I hope his base kit gets buffed so hard that all survivors in the world start crying salt because they don't know how to counter him. Imagine if he gets buffed so his base kit is more powerful. Just imagine how nasty he could be WITH addons.
No one used classphoto I think when he came out to good effect, black box and class photo with old build will be amazing
What?
So I am "no one"?
Class Photo is my favorite add on on Freddy and I use all my Black Wards only to keep the Class Photo. as often as possible. -

3rd Most likely it will come along with huge buffs in other areas to "balance it out".And if the Devs feel the need to nerf healing, why should they buff at the same time a perk that improves healing?
That wouldn't make any sense. They are doing just that in the PTB....
Base healing is taking longer and Botany Knowledge is increasing it's % so this wouldn't be any different.
It makes sense to give survivors reasons to use the perks that 'buff' the base % of things....Erm… nothing you stated changed anything I said.

1. Being Hookswarmed is now punishable. FOR THE KILLER. How is it that i risk my pip when survivors are circling around the hooked survivor like flies to a turd? Why do i have to let them get away with it?Remove the chaser penalty or introduce a punishment for staying to close to a hooked survivor as a survivor.
Is that just about the gain of emblem points?
I could live with that, since ranking up as a killer isn't beneficial anyway. But in general it is an unfair mechanic, that should just force the killer to give free unhooks.

There are multiple ways to counter both of these.
What exactly is the counter to DS?
Enduring , unerving presence, noed, rancore, mori,
A true counter would keep it from happening, not just ease it.
Enduring… only lessens the effect and helps not immediately lose the prey -> soft counter
UP... only lessen the chance to hit the check, but it is still doable -> random counter
Noed? How is Noed helping with DS?
Rancor… yea, if you refuse touching your obsession for the whole match and wait until all gens are done. A lot of ifs and whens, but kind of a counter.
Moir? Nope, only if the victim is stupid enough to wait with his DS for the 2nd hook despite the fact that he saw a "hidden offering" in the beginning. -

Matter a fact I'm pretty sure the quote you're thinking of is when they answered my question because I asked that.
Yep, and once Dave was confused about the question.
I think he mentioned that they have it like that in their internal build. That's why he thought it is already that way in the live version.
So it seem to be doable… and just don't understand why they do not bring it live? -

More often then not, when the killer picks you up, you’re getting hooked. You rarely break free from their grasp. I’m not complaining, really. That being said, could we get some survival points for trying to break free? Otherwise, we might as well not try to wiggle free, since a hook is going to happen most of the time. Even if it’s a tiny amount of points. If you need extra points as reward to struggle for your life, that's totally your choice.
Just dont do it and enjoy the basement. -

Yes, I meet 2-3 DS per game.
And back in the days it was 4 99% of all games.
But the first nerf wasn't enough. And you are so arrogant it makes me wanna puke, there is ONE person giving 4 other the option to play and you want to treat that needed person like trash.
But you call other toxic?? -

@TheShowtime7 said:
I feel like the devs should leave the perk as it is. Let me explain all the reasons.First you have to be the obsession to use the perk properly.
Second the skill check is difficult to hit if it comes early or if you’re facing the Dr. or unnerving presence.
Third reason you only able to use it once plus the killer can still dribble you to the hook!
Every update they make it harder to be a survivor. Remember you need more survivors in this game than killers to keep this game alive.
- Anybody can use that perk, not only the obsession and it is even more annoying if you walked for a longer time, only to get DSD anyway. If really only ONE could use it, the perk wouldn't be such a big issue, but in fact you can get DSD 4 times.
- Balance for skill
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EitZRLt2G3w
The skillcheck being "difficult" is no reason to amp the power of the perk to hard, because that would only great a huge powergap. Lowskill player don't benefit from the perk at all, because they can't hit the check and if they hit every now and then, they suck at getting chased and get downed fast anyway.High skill player -who are very good at the game anyway- get powerful tool to even get better and they can prolong chases even if they can't get rid of the killer and instead of 2 already long chases, the killer has to do a third long chase to get them. - The survivor can only use it once, but the killer can get hit 4 times. So that's 4 extra chases in a game where the killer has not enough time in the first place. And dribbling is only possible if a hook is close by and even than you are wasting time doing so. And you have to know that that guy has DS, but since anybody can have it you can get DS by surprise from a non obsession.
And the worst of all... this game needs more survivor… wow, that one is just plain rude and wrong on so many level.
So you just want to make the game miserable for a part of the community just because they are fewer?
And you think they aren't "needed" for or just needed in small numbers so we can treat them like crap and unbalance the game for them?
These are human beings, not bots.
You are using basically racist logics. -

You haven't even TRIED to answer my question.
Those pictures don't show anything.
And I want to hear from you -in words- what makes the swamp good to play for the killer you mentioned?
Where is an advantage for a killer playing a huge map with lots of stealth potential AND looping spots?
And as a mediocre survivor I have no problems to find hex totems on swamp, just saying. The map is dark and has lots of ways to sneak up on people doing gens since quite a few are in blind spots.
For Trapper, there's plenty of great places to place traps including non obvious ones.
For hag the same is true and given they increased ehr TP range she can cover most of the mpa easily.
For the Pig it's super easy to sneak up on people due to all the aforementioned blind spots That and the fact you've got no terror radius means ambushes are much easier.
Oh and now you throw in the Red Herring about large maps when the discussion is about small maps like Swamp. Talk about being a forum troll.
Yet an other straw Man that had nothing to do with the discussion about killer advantages on a small map because all maps have a problem with hex totems being easy to find. Again talk about being a forum troll.
So there I posted several reasons why those killers can do well on Swamp.
@RSB said:
Don't argue with forum troll. He is full of himself, and a surv main - illogical creature.
Speaking of forum trolls, the usual tried and failed insult from you when you can't refute my arguments go with the insults.
A map that is dark and has lots of LOS breaker is an advantage for killer in general for him to "sneak up"?
Ever heard of something like a "Terrorradius", dude?^^
Of course there are some exceptions -mainly Myers- that can take advantage from it, but since survivor have 3rd person view instead of 1st, this is usually not a good mapfeature that would benefit the killer.
Of course there are situations where it is difficult to pinpoint the direction of the killer and a smaller one like Hag with a smaller TR can sometimes confuse a survivor, but that is usually again the survivor mistake that the killer capitalize on.For Trapper the whole map is terrible, because swamp is BIG and the traps are far apart to collect and Trapper has to waste more time and you can't trap the whole map , not even a good part of it.
Same goes for Hag... BIG map, slow movement speed and limited port range, not a benefit for her at all.
And Pigs camera crouching is so low that survivor can go unnoticed right beside her.
Nothing you said makes The Swamp a good map for killer,.
But you are right in one point, this whole thread was not about the Swamp, but about the Family Residence.

I just saw that they’re adjusting NOED in 2.3.0 and got very excited! Then I saw all they’ve done is make it so the exposed status is now at all levels. So, I want to explain how I think NOED should work
This would be the tier 3 version:
“You are animated by the pressure of losing your prey when the survivors are on the verge of escaping. Once the exit gates are powered, you gain a 5% movement speed increase. After 60 seconds, you gain a 10% increased cooldown on missed and successful attacks. After 120 seconds, all survivors gain the Exposed status effect, and the killer can Kill the survivors. The power would slowly build up, the longer the survivors hang around. I think it also makes it more fair for both sides. Survivors won’t get insta downed out of nowhere because someone completed the last generator right as they were getting hit. It gives survivors a chance to get out NOW, or suffer the consequences. It’s also more fair for the killer, as it won’t be a hex, meaning it will always proc in the end game, and can’t be destroyed. Fair for both sides,
Just no, you need the one hit down ASAP!
Most often you do not gain more than ONE hit to down a survivor before the Hex gets broken.
This has to be at full strength right when the gates triggered, the game is basically over already, any further delay to power this perk up would make it basically useless, since you already run the risk of the hex being broken without ever getting any advantage from it. -
I think if you just bump it is against the rules.
Just TALK about the stuff.

Killer can't really do that without downright giving a free win to the rest of the team.
You’re correct. Camping and and slugging are tactics. However the Wraith who slugged me, I was last alive for that match and on the floor. He just walked behind me ringing his bell until I was JUST about to die and then he picked me up and hooked me. How is that not bullying a Survivor?
I already answered that.
But again, it might be unpleasant , but it is only very temporary, since the bleedout timer will end it soon.
Killer getting bullied can take ages.
Ever encountered a flashlight squad that made hooks almost impossible?
Or just the regular conga row of hook blocking?
Killer can't do anything similar to a team… they can mock and BM the last survivor, but that's about it.
As long as other survivor are alive, killer can't seriously bully the team without giving up the match. -

I should've clarified what they were doing is carrying me and then dropping me hoping I'd wiggle which I did and got more bonus points. The killer thought they were pissing em off by doing this but I was laughing the entire time.
They knew i'd killed their DH totem so they wanted to in their own words make me suffer but I got a ton of bonus BP that way.
The other one that kept doing it also wanted me to suffer but wasn't slugging since in both cases I was the last survivor. I was dead on hook automatically so they were in fact holding the game hostage no different than when survivors do what killer complain about.
The 2nd killer was hoping i'd dc and lose all my bp and post game even said so.
Thanks for supporting my point.
Nothing they did benefited them or made you suffer. Nothing they did was holding the game hostage. -
Nothing I said is "incorrect".
Even if he is exploiting to "facecamp", it does not prolong the game, the guy on the hook is dead in 2 min and versus a dedicated camper any save attemtps are stupid no matter what, so that is the survivors fault.
And if some killer picks you up and keeps dropping you for 15 min that's a BUG.
Even if the killer tries to slug all it is NOT bullying. It is a legal tactic. Unpleasent to be on the recieving end, but not bullying. -

Camp, and sit there and smack them, pick them up and drop them repeatedly and never hook them. you could also say a rank 1 killer that's intentionally depipped to 15 to terrorize noobs qualifies.
Camping is legal gameplay and not bullying.
Even smacking them on the hook is BM and the only thing that I would see the same as tbagging for killer, but ingame it doesn't benefit the killer -because it makes unhooks in his face possible- and it does not prolong the game in any way.
Pick up and drop isn't bullying either, because the survivor will get free at some point.
Never hooking is slugging and that's also a legal tactic. You can't take a game hostage by slugging, because they bleed out and the killer is robbing himself of points. I know a lot of people hate getting slugged, but you know what, I also hate getting smacked with a machete, but that is actually the game.
Intentional depipping is done by just LEAVING the match and not playing it at all. Is that fair for those that waste their offerings? No, but it isn't bullying in my book. The only real bullying that I could make up is farming the last survivor if no hatch is available or taking the game hostage by bodyblocking (real hostage, like 1/2 hr and more, not just 2 min).

"Hook vacuum" is made up.
Survivor just want to gain something here.
The only thing that is happening is the animation getting lined up to look good and be smooth.
Survivor tell the urban legend of getting "sucked to the hook" from several meter away and their wiggle bar went to 100% while doing that and all kinda crap.
But nothing of that is true. It is either a lag/latency issue or a lie. Period.
If the killer gets into position for the hook prompt to appear, you are basically already hooked, no matter the delay in your wiggle bar. If the animation starts and you are at 99% it doesn't matter that you see the bar getting filled up while you are already in the hooking animation. -
Very good topic.

It should just deactivate ANY survivor perk if they are in the basement.
This would just reward camping even more lol
Oh yea, the evil danger of encouraging "camping". How could I forget about that?
MS is a perk that should make the basement stronger. But a dedicated camper will camp ANY hook.
For real camping every hook is the same and the closest is the best. -

So when you get Gideons or another killer friendly map do you complain that it's too killer sided? It's all about learning the new map and where are the good places to hide, the loops, the vaults etc.How many maps do we have?
tell me.. how many are "killersided"?
Even Meat Plant is bad for several killer (Trapper, Billy). So this is not a 100% killersided map.
And I can't come up with any real "killersided" map anymore.
After the "rework" not even Shelter Wood is "killersided" anymore. So now you're breaking it down to kill specific as an excuse.
Gideon's is great for Doctors, Nurses do well, I've seen Hags and trappers destroy, Billy's and even Bubbas. Crotus is made for Huntress and Clown, Billy's, Nurses, etc,
Oh and lets not forget swamp for Hag, Trapper, Pig, Doctor.
Now for survivors depending on killer plenty of maps suck Gideon's, Swamp, and your hated cornfield maps well depending on killer they're good.
Your problem is you want every map to be great for every killer and that's not how it works, Lampkin Lane is Myers Map. If you can't do well with any killer on any given map then perhaps you just need to practice more.
The same is true for survivors on Lery's and Gideon's the 2 most hated maps especially against certain killers.
Serious like … what??
Swamp is good for Hag, Trapper, Pig, Doctor??? -

MimimiSorry, but for once this goes on my nerves. I want some good stealth maps every once in a while.
That's a really quality statement. [/sarcasm]
This is NOT "stealth" this is just bad gamemechanics. -
