The buffs made him a lot better.(A simple number change took them 5 years, pretty good job so far). But, Old Trapper was so bad even these changes did not move him from the F tier. More changes needed include all traps spawn with him. And RNG with his traps removed or reworked.

He specifically states he's talking about mediocre killers, not a word said about Blight here.
It shows the devs inconsistency with killer balance. He mentioned all he gets is Blight. The devs do things like buff strong killers. Then nerf mediocre ones. And he literally says Blight

It’s the same way with killers some must be hated others loved Huntress and Blight are their favorites. But, they got the hated for Hillbilly and Twins

Haddonfield I’ve had luck the narrow pathways are in his advantage. RPD is possibly the worst map for him

I dunno, I think Bubba's just way more threatening these days. Aside from Flick Billy or Endu/Spirit fury builds Billy in most tiles can't really do much without some good mindgames.
What I mean by people wishing they were playing Bubba/Oni or even Blight - their powers don't punish you as much if you mess up and you can play around tiles a bit better than Billy can. They are also reward you more, for less effort if you get what I mean
You have to put in a lot of effort to play Billy well, would you agree?
Yes, I can confirm you do need good hours on Hillbilly. Compared to others. But, the versatility of his kit for me is worth it.

He deserves some love, dang it.
Bubba isn’t stronger. Certain things are stronger like the anti-loop. The pallet shred is the same. But, Bubba can’t do much against Hold W. Hillbilly can. And Hillbilly is the best mobility killer in the game. And COH has been hard for Oni while Hillbilly hasn’t cared. And they’ve been making him a little better more add-ons are useful and his animations are a little bit better. But, map designs have been brutal. (F U RPD)

Remove the limit and make it where instant down implies only from a far distance

Freddy. While Hillbilly’s was still stupid I was able to still pick him and mostly play the same. And external factors brought him down like map design and other killers mastering elements of his kit. Freddy was completely obliterated into nothing good. He is now such a bland character who has a boring strat and is weak now
