I guess you DO have to actually get from the lobby to the actual match, that's true. :D
Don't mind me. I have zero doubt that it takes a lot of skill to get really good with the Hag. I take nothing away from the people who really know how to use her well. It's just that that seems to describe EVERY Hag player I ever encounter, lol. She's a nightmare.
You actually face good Hags an Ultra Rare spectacle.

That's what Tru3 believes if I recall. "You set up traps in 1 area and control it." similar to his opinion on Trapper. And maybe it is like that, but I've begun to think that Hag is just a better Trapper in almost every way.
Hag is a better Trapper she isn't limited by having to go across map for Traps. Her area of control is easier since her traps can be harder to spot and harder to disarm. But that all requires a good Hag who's good at Trap management.

Not likely as I don’t think it would be a good idea, lore and balance wise
39. How much do you believe the lore and gameplay should be intertwined?

None of the hex perks have been OP....on their own
Hex perks have always been issues whenever multiple are in use, so basically hex perks are both weak and strong, however every hex would be weak if found instantly
So I feel like Hex perks need something more to it, along with hex perks not being locked to specifically totems as a way to remove them
38. Been proposed for possible survivor hexes could that be successfully implemented?
-
Rancid Abbatoir basement doorway was too small might be the same with Thompson House.
-
I still never understand nerf BBQ people.
-
Ideally they should use the time to cleanse the totems and search the chests in that area.
-
@Sluzzy said:
A killer will all of those perks is overpowered. I took a few days off and played again tonight and it was high mobility killer after high mobility killer abusing BBQ, Ruin, and all of those perks for an ez win at 4 and 5 gens. Survivors are entirely too weak to play against what killers crutch on every game.
But Ruin can be gotten rid of immediately and weaker on low mobility killers.
-
@bluedusef said:
8-9 games only two of them were not these three combo of perks. 1 oni player who used only surge, and the other only used pop and ruin in combo.
Yup, time to play killer and ignore solo queue yep.
And then you remember Corrupt leaves a killer with three perks. Across map Pops don't happen anymore. And Ruin can be gotten rid of in the first 30 seconds.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
I came up against a hag main yesterday 3 times in an hour, I only play solo queue & rank isn't everything but for the most part I don't think any of the survivors played badly.
Absolutely destroyed us with 12 hooks in all 3 games we got 4 gens done in 2 games & 3 in the last. Only ever placed 1 trap near a hook & I don't think i've ever seen a teleport & hit that fast.
Like most less popular killers in the right hands very few get out alive.
It's been ages since I've seen a Hag and even longer since I've see a good one. What builds were the Hags you played against using?
-
@Zozzy said:
You find a 3 gen and trap them while camping the ever loving snot out of whoever you down first
she is a boring killer and needs a massive rework to allow survivors to deal with traps beyond a swf or having an item.
Smart survivors will give a Hag a challenge.

In my opinion, totems are in dire need of a rework in a way as imo they have some issues with them (Namely causing balance issues with stuff)
- 37. Has there ever been an overpowered Hex perk? And what do you believe is the biggest problem with Hexes? Are there too many weak ones? Too easy to find? Or too much for Solo Q or not enough for SWF?

Hence why I mentioned after the map updates, once the maps are balanced I would be fine with either removing bl or atleast nerfing it down a bit
However Myers and Trapper I would want looked at first before any major BL changes
- 36. Are there any other current non perk mechanics that are in need of a rework?
-
@Hoodied said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2169758#Comment_2169758
both are not exactly fine, dead hard needs a change where it is a true dodge perk while bloodlust needs to be removed after all the map updates
- 35. Even though some maps remain unbalanced? And before possibly removing bloodlust should all killer have a viable power like Myers or Trapper?
-

I hit a Trapper with it on Groaning Storehouse. Guy only got too hooks on the entire team since he lost me each time.
I uh...got less lucky with a Ruin + Undying + Stridor Spirit player on Hawkins.
Trapper abuse at it's max.

@Dabihwow said:
So this is the first time doing a rate my build. This build is a high risk high reward kinda build
So for perks I use : Stbfl, whisperers, pop, and either brutal, or Iron maiden.
as for addons: Iri head, and Soldiers putee ( the other Iri addon basically )
Huntress is a killer who will primarily use her M2 unlike an even M1 M2 like Demogorgon and due to her 4.4 speed STBFL is not too good on her. Same goes with Brutal Huntress is a killer who won't suffer from pallets like Slinger or Clown so interactions with pallets are low so take that off. I would take off her Iri add-ons to snowball you want more hatchets. And you don't choose Huntress to chase normally. Iron Maiden is fine, Whispers is fine, Pop is fine, last slot you can toss an aura perk. If you decide to go winning with Huntress

Make Your Choice on Hag?? Uhhhhhh ok.
Make Your Choice will not proc if you are within 32 meters of an unhook. Not sure how you play Hag, but I teleport the second a trap is set off near a hook which usually results at a minimum a hit to the rescuer or a grab. If it's a grab I take them to the next hook - and go back and re-trap the hook. Seems like a wasted perk choice to me - especially on Hag.
I've discovered this also a lot of times they walk by a trap not near the hook that's within 32 meters. I just run Agitation over MYC
-
What was the map?
-
A tier killers are balanced but still strong.
-
@MadLordJack said:
I'm so glad the whiny, "I'm-so-weak" survivor mains don't realise how ######### strong lucky break is. As it stands, I'm not playing any killers except Plague, and if it enters the rotation as a meta perk I might actually drop killer altogether.
Scott made a good point it might only be one time you get it off. But that one time can deny a hook or slug changing the match like Old DS. And don't think Lucky Break will be hard counterd by Legion or some one shot killers?

They are not good for gameplay whatsoever, I suggest removing them
34. There's an old comparison out there the Bloodlust is the same as Dead Hard it rewards the player for poor gameplay. Do you believe that either is fine? If not how and when should they change the two?
-
@dtavares7 said:
The thing is, putting down a trap takes too long and people see you do it, and then they can just trigger it on the edge of it, and you have 0 chance of catching them
Idk why she's rated so high, she's terrible at high ranks, VERY easy to counter
Don't spread your trap far apart increasing the chance of survivors spotting them.
-
@dtavares7 said:
The problem is, if I lay a trap, they trigger it on purpose and then run away, and if I chase I lost
If I don't chase and go set another trap, they see me setting the trap an then do the same thing again
Working on setting your traps behind objects in area where survivors won't see you setting it.

Nobody seems to want to say it so I'll say it.
- If I want to know what aura detection the killer has Distortion is 1000% better, even with its crappy 3 charges.
- Having zero control when OoO activates is horrible, and a lethal effect and it can really screw you over at the worst times. It can sometimes help you loop, but still only an idiot would take this perk unless everyone else is running DS or some such to offset it.
- Completely breaks synergy with Sole Survivor. I mean lol who the hell designed this? I completely warned them about this when the OOO suggestion was made but as usual nobody at BHVR cared. SS is already bad it didn't need the only decent combo it had in the entire game become completely useless.
Poor Laurie, she's officially the most abused survivor in the game, everything has has has been nerfed to oblivion and they even left her crap perk (SS) broken for a long time, and now it hasn't even been buffed as they suggested following the OOO nerf.
Can't believe they went forward with these changes and didn't even consider any of the feedback to make the perk actually worth taking. But I guess they felt OOO was just too powerful so they as usual had to nerf it into the ground.
Lol who runs Sole Survivor that perk is the definition of trash? The perk provides useful information not limited by tokens. And you know when it goes off the killer can't keep track of it.
-
Exploits don't reflect the base balance of a killer. Blight is balanced it's not hard to loop a 115 at many common loops were Blight can't use his power.

I feel like it should, most of the pallets are really weak on that map but the vaults sometimes help
33. Have the devs successfully implemented breakable walls since their creation? Or have they been more or less a behavior? And if so how would you make them more healthy for gameplay?

Because you don't need to worry or care about gens going off on the distance she might very well be the only killer who can feel this way. And survivors who are unaware of your traps you will hit them. So if they're setting of your traps don't put them in an obvious spot put them in a spot the survivors won't easily spot. And after you down a survivor wait a moment to see if another trap goes off and start to slug. And whatever you don't chase outside your trap area. Hag is slow and short.

Haddonfield as that map has alot of problems that need to be looked into
32. Does Hawkins qualify for a rework? The map is generally disliked and lacks some current gameplay mechanics.

Victor was a bit OP. Didn't they only increase the timer by a couple of seconds? Yet they buffed the twins in several other ways. Lucky Break timer was nerfed in half. That's a big difference.
What are Twins?
-
@Sluzzy said:
I was actually looking forward a little to using Lucky Break but not now. A 1-time use perk that depends on the killer to close their eyes to get any value is a hard pass for me and seems very ridiculous. The devs obviously listened to killer mains again and are scared to give survivors any good perks. Tinkerer certainly wasn’t nerfed when it was obvious how busted it is.
All someone has to do is look at all the godly killer perks, with powerful effects, and can be used multiple times without question. Tinkerer is literally unavoidable and is multiple uses and is a free win and with only 2 survivors are left as it causes a stalemate. A perk shouldn’t guarantee wins. It made it to live as is, but Lucky Break is most likely only a 1-time use and it’s a dead perk. Lucky Break shouldn’t have a timer or at least have a long one to give you time to evade and heal. 45 seconds is literally nothing.
Huntress was proudly left in a busted state while only nerfing her one addon. Freddy can still teleport to the survivor objective with BBQ. Buffed another licensed killer.
Why wasn’t a licensed survivor buffed?
Very disappointed in the update and the lack of equality.
Lucky Break I agree should be done at 1:00 since it is already killer dependent. And I thought you'd enjoy the Huntress add-on nerf no more OP Iri Head and Infantry Belt or 1:30 seconds exhaustion. Still want that second Freddy rework. But what about the new Open Handed and Kindred or Bond that's good. And new Object being better for Solo Q and Chase.

Good point. It definitely will be great for solo now. Since the killer can't see you the whole time.
It'll have more purposes beyond large map suffering.
-
No the change is necessary it'll be less abusable by SWF and more viable for solo a great change.

29. Are there any killers left that you believe need a full on rework?

100% lazy, they made twins into a killer that needs to camp now
28. Did they do a good job with Demogorgon buffing his base and add-ons? In hopes to make him more viable and get him a higher playrate.
