Sometimes you can really tell when someone hasn't had the misfortune of playing against one-hook moris.
Not to mention when Shape could mori you without you being hooked even once.

You sound like one of those BHVR devs ;) "Maybe you should play civ!". Meanwhile completely ignoring the problem. People are here cause they see the potential and WANT to play DBD… but the devs keep going in directions that the players don't want. Maybe you should get on board with everyone else trying to improve the game. Just saying.
and what makes you think you are the voice box of all the rest of us. I have not given you the right to talk what I want at least and it just shows there is no point to talk about things when you declare yourself to be the one that knows what other people want. That is not a conversation just monologue.
-
Maybe you should play some other game as you seem to be burnout of DBD.
-
When you disable cross-play you only play with other people on Switch that have it off and it should be evident if you can't find matches there is nobody playing it off.
-
So you want to punish one survivor for killer hooking survivors. Not to mention this would be totally unbalanced. So killer could hook survivor 1, then 2, then 3, hook survivor 1 again and then find survivor 4 and kill them. Not to mention this would be the tactic everyone would use as of course you kill the one that has not been hooked before to maximize the benefit. This would be just worse can of worms and easily abusable. This was the main problem with Myers when he could just kill you without any limitation than having an add-on.
-
Reason why there is high ping killers on european servers is the war in ukraine. It has caused several operators to prevent direct connections to european servers from Russia so most russians have to use VPN to go around the restrictions causing them to gain ping because their connection still needs go through way more servers than it would if it would not have those restrictions.
Also blaming streamers of promoting VPN usage is not for any other reason than the fact that hackers can track anyone by their ip in this game. So cheaters use that to join streamers lobbies if you use VPN they can't do that. So in short the streamers use VPN to protect themselves from the cheaters who just want to ruin their matches.

Its a good perk if you are going for totem build but otherwise not the best.

All the quests are self-explanatory. You just have to read properly and understand what is written. In this case you just didnt read properly and you didnt understand what "decoy" meant, cause you didnt took enough efford to understand the event gameplay in detail. Thats not a fault on bhvrs end.
Well they don't specify decoy from normal snowman in anyway in the gameplay instructions so op has some point in his complaint.

literally just throw for challenges like everyone else lmao, if its those green glyphs yeah, stay in until EGC and get those glyphs! die to EGC if you need to. they spawn in totem spawns too, if it is the green ones that is, theres also multiple per game. glyphs make a noise similar to hex totems(or the entity when it blocks gens) when you come within range of them so turn up your volume too.
Those only spawn on first hooking of a survivor and when gen is finished so maximum is nine green glyphs in one match. They also need empty totem spawn to spawn and if op was doing this in event queue good luck of finding any as the snowball piles I think take some totem spawn points so there is nowhere for them to spawn if you don't cleanse the existing totems.

I've noticed that cheaters in DBD is kinda like the flu.
Every year there's a period of time, usually a few weeks to around a month but never more than two, where there's a big rise in cheater. This usually means that hackers found a new way to bypass DBD anti-cheat.
After a while, BHVR upgrades their security silently and the cheating epidemic goes away and we return to status quo, rinse and repeat. It's always been like this.
Its currently partly happening as someone started advertising cheats in the game with bots and it clearly worked as some bought and used them.
-
Its already working how you are requesting it to but there is just other obsession perks that effect obsession selection. There is no randomness unless there is no survivors with perk that effects obsession selection or there is several survivors with perks that effect obsession selection.
Object of Obsession, Decisive Strike, Mettle of Man and Sole Survivor increase your chance to be the obsession by +100%
Blood Pact and For the People decreases the chance of you becoming obsession by -100%

Bizarre, really.
Yeah some reason there is people who pay of such things. Just reported one cheater myself and keep doing it every time I run into one.

The perks you suggested can do the job. Unfortunately I don't have Flip-Flop or Conviction, I guess I'll have to play it risky with pallets and hope to help a teammate with a pallet stun. 😅
Overcome with heal build could also work take hit on a pallet trading the hit for stun and use Overcome to get away and heal yourself fast.
-
Simplest way find a killer player who is friendly and lets you farm it. Best map for doing this challenge would be most likely Gideon Meat Plant because of the amount of pallets.
Perks for this to make it easier would be Power Struggle, Flip-Flop, Windows of Opportunity and Any Means Necessary/Unbreakable/Plot Twist. You can use Windows of Opportunity to know where the pallets are to make it easier to get the stuns while looping them. If he leaves you and has not broken all the fallen pallets lift them up with Any Means Necessary so you can use them again. When you are hurt go down on the pallet recovering as much as you can that then transfers to wiggle progress with Flip-Flop and then stun the killer with Power Struggle when they pick up. You can change Any Means Necessary to Unbreakable to get faster recovery after getting downed. Still if the killer has any brains they will not fall for the Power Struggle thing more than once. Plot Twist would also be possibility as you can just use it to down yourself on the pallet and as it makes recovery +25% faster. Its good if you manage to do it when the killer is swinging at you but does not connect as you used the perk so he has to wait the missed hit cooldown before he can pick you up. You can of course replace Windows of Opportunity too with one of the other perks if you trust your map sense enough to find the pallets or use map to see locations of those.
In the end you just need to hope for a killer that does not care to get stunned like they are running build with Enduring and Spirit Fury those will intentionally try to get hit by pallets. Tome 1's Page 4 challenges are hard ones as it was the first one and they thought it would be more fun to people if there was challenge. Later Tome's have way easier challenges than those.

doublepost, but i agree. part of why everything is such a mess is because of the lack of tangible effort from everyone: from those who expect BHVR to wave a magic wand, and from BHVR's lack of being proactive when it matters. it's amusing but also somewhat sad to see because this is replicated almost anywhere you go.
Its the sad reality of the current society with no patience of any kind. Some people expect everything to be ready and that they would not have to lift a finger to get something done. Its sad to see but thats where the society seems to be moving towards. In reality nothing is ever really ready and sometimes you have to do something to get it how you like it. The world is not existing for you it exist despite of you.

I will point something out… Just because the code says "Yo, bruh you just lost MMR!" doesn't mean that the servers on BHVRs end acknowledge that change, and that isn't something dataminers would be privvy to unless they were much much more than just dataminers.
You do also realize if you would not lose MMR in certain abandoning situations then it could be abused by players to not lose MMR. Like if you think you don't lose MMR when you are downed and killer downs the last survivor causing the game to let you abandon you are just fooling yourself. Of course you lose MMR as you lost the match.

Well, obviously dataminers know more about the game code than BHVR. My bad.
With Dev statements you have the problem if the question was asked or understood the way you think it was. Thats why I don't take everything people say as some fact as in the end everyone can make mistakes or explain things wrong even I can. Still the wiki is done by dataminers as you say so I would trust it to say how it works in the game. I just don't use the wiki to know how the game states things to work as it clearly can't provide that information.

I also don’t see why people dislike Legion, but that’s a whole different thing. I think they’re pretty fun to go against because they have to chase you to get the down. It confuses me why people dislike these killers, while people like Huntress, Wesker, Hillbilly and Blight, even though they can end you in seconds.
like I said, it’s a different point. So Skull Merchant, as a killer that has to chase you, is despised. The first hit is just as difficult as the down. Her chases are fair. I still don’t see the issueWith Legion its the constant mending that most people find annoying its just feels like you are wasting your time. Deep wound mechanic is not well liked and another reason why Ghoul is partly hated too but he has several other reasons for it too.
Have to admit I find Singularity more annoying than Skull Merchant. Current version of her is not even really anyway annoying.

Well, the DBD Wiki is wrong as BHVR clarified that if anyone DCs or Abandons, the entire match doesn't count. Now, the moderator from BHVR that said that could in theory be wrong, but I would trust them over the Wiki.
The one thing I know about the wiki is that they update it by the code from the game so if the game code says you lose MMR you lose MMR.
They could have changed it and nobody updated the wiki but as they compared the game code after changes they usually update anything that is changed.

I had no idea how to activate the bug until after i took it off, when I saw people saying they were assuming everyone with it was cheating and reporting them. Not everyone running a bugged perk is exploiting it.
For example when they stupidly admit in the in game chat.

i didn't know offering a different perspective and playing devil's advocate was considered "making excuses" and "glazing" nowadays. turbotax was additional context to what i'm trying to discuss with you.
the developers are at least making an attempt at fixing the game. they're also offering a resource to allow you to offer feedback.they can't fix something that they also don't know is there to begin with. that's one of the reasons for why this system exists. to acknowledge and to show progress where people are asking for it. if you don't want to participate, you are not obligated to.
Yeah I don't understand people who keep complaining about some bug in the game and then don't even bother reporting it. Like even if they experience the bug often does not mean most other players do. This game is surprisingly complicated game with a lot of different things that can get bugged several ways.
I have seen some content makers complaining of bugs that have not been fixed but they don't take the time to even report it. Then some point somebody that watched them reports it but then there is no logs or anything because those are in the streamers computer and fan can't even give those and the id is wrong too because the reporter is not the person who experienced it so behavior can't find the match from their servers logs.
Then we have those that report things that are not bugs. There is currently a report of someone reporting that Overcharge is not working correctly when their description of how it should work is not correct as they are describing Eruption perks effects. Then we have several of those that state that their customization items or some of them are missing when they only have somehow some filters on that cause them to not be shown. This also shows quite a lot don't know what is a bug and what is not. The customization not showing up would be maybe few minute figuring out the problem on the screen checking all options you have to get it to work. That would be what I would do in that situation first myself.

Freezing gens is a nice slowdown that isn’t overtuned. It’s base kit for killer and not capped.
The pallet freeze has a really high skill ceiling with the charged snowball throw. As a survivor with distance, you pre-freeze the pallet so it’s unfrozen but on cooldown when you need to drop it. As killer, you use the snowball throw to freeze pallets before survivors can drop them. You can also make pallet saves impossible by freezing before picking.
Unfortunately, this does result in lose/lose scenarios when distance is little. If a survivor approaches a god pallet you don’t have a freeze angle on, you’re going to have to sit in front of it and wait as they drop and freeze. And if you don’t have distance on survivor and the killer has LOS on your pallet, they will just freeze it and you will die. Both of these scenarios aren’t super fun.
Yeah seems some people have missed that when the pallet is thawing out its non-freezable. I have had several good runs using the freezing pallet to stop killers breaking them right away and then timing the coming around when it just thaws out so I can vault it. You can also connect several loops and do the same. Its also good for shack pallet to block killer from getting in/out fast or destroying it right away. Its good mechanic that both can use to their benefit.

An Abandon is treated the same as a DC and if anyone DCs from a match before it is finished, the entire match is thrown out. Sure, you keep your points, but the match does not go into determining your MMR rating nor taken into account with BHVRs internal data. Other than you having some BP to show for it, the entire match never happened the second any player DCs or Abandons.
Not true. You will lose MMR if you abandon being all survivors slugged situation or you abandon because you got slugged the third time. Reason why because those are considered a loss to you.
As killer you lose MMR if you abandon when there is no completed or regressed generator in last 10 minutes.
Thats what the DBD wiki says about the feature. Otherwise you could abuse the system by abandoning in the end and not lose MMR even if you clearly lost the match.

Its currently in good spot being at 4 seconds. This perk does not need a change.

I would mind this as it does help people with disability to play on more equal ground and as they did already do that for the scratchmarks.

thats exactly what im suggesting, for bhvr to allow killers to abandon while allowing the match to continue. its a suggestion to allow the killers the same as what survivors currently have.
im not complaining about anything im just saying what killer wants to draw a match they won? they dont so they need to finish the match. survivors should have this same choice, killer abandons, they would then have a choice of abandon and take a draw for a match they have clearly won or they finish up and take the win.
There is no point for that kind of feature then if that is truly what you are suggesting on my opinion. Would just hog a server that could be used by other people to play real match.

yes they can abandon but doing so means the killer does not get the 4k, the match is void. its killers choice to mop up, finish the match and make it count or just void it.
Flip this so killer abandons but the match goes on without the killer, survivors could abandon and make the match void just like killer can when all survivors are downed and abandon. Or they could choose to mop up, finish the match which means they walk away with an escape instead of a void just like killer can choose to walk away with the 4k instead of a void match.
I don't really get what you are on about now. There is no situation where match would go on without killer or are you trying to speculate a scenario where killer would be replaced with a bot. Well there is no such situation as there is no killer bots in 1v4 and match ends if killer DC. Even in that choice the match ends with a tie you don't get a win with it as survivor if killer leaves.
You are just now inventing situation that has no pairing of anything in this. Why are you complaining about a choice you are given the choice and you are also wrong when survivors abandon the match is counted for the to be a loss. Only time survivor gets out "free" not effecting their MMR is when you are the last survivor to leave when all others are bots already so that means all others have left one way or another. This does not mean when all are downed or on hook as that one is considered a loss for the survivors even for the one who leaves last.
At least as a killer there is a choice to win the match if you kill the bots but you can take the tie if you don't want to waste the time killing bots its up to killer player in question. Still in the end the win/loss only effects MMR so most likely does almost nothing in the end.

"Even if the killer was just gone and the survivors finished gens and left without the threat, that isn't what the game is. That's just playing generator simulator—an aspect of gameplay that most regard as the most boring part of the entire game"
So the survivors all throw, go down and abandon leaving the match penalty free….the killer is left with picking up 4 downed survivors, hooking them and waiting out the hook with nothing to do at all, the most boring part of the entire game for killer. How is this any different to survivors doing gens or opening the gate with no killer when the killer abandons leaving penalty free?
Showing that you don't know the abandoning rules. Killer can abandon after all survivors are bots and its not counted a loss but a draw so no effect on MMR.

Did anybody with Nemesis? The answer is no but when it's broken everyone runs it
Yes they did saw several Nemesis players abusing the bug back then it was not rare. Still have not seen even one Dracula player staying in the wolf form abusing this one. Have not even gone against Dracula in 26 last survivor matches I have record currently.
Last Dracula that I faced did not even really change his form at all just ran around in base form and then later changed to bat once and few times to the wolf. That was an odd match.
-
So in short you just want easy matches and be free to leave when ever you want without penalty.
-
Event tomes don't come back they are limited time tomes that have to be finished during the event window they were active. They will most likely some point add the cosmetics to the store but when/if only they know.
-
You will keep bloodpoints, match experience, quest progress and emblem scores.
You lose items and add-ons even if using White Ward or Black Ward. Trial is not also counted as compeleted.
Match is considered draw for killer if he abandons when all survivors are bots and for survivors when all other survivors alive are bots. In all other cases the match is counted a loss for the side that abandoned for MMR purposes.

Around the end of the previous month BHVR managed to lose the, let's say, "extra fat" they had after FNAF/anniversary regarding the number of players. After all the hype went away there was something between 50 to 60K players playing for the last hour and 80 or even 90K 24-hour peaks. Now we got back to the number you see in this image which was the normal amount of players back when I've started playing the game four years ago.
Pretty good job so far indeed! S2Except avg player count is still higher than last year in December and if you look at previous years this is normal fluctuation of this games player amounts. They always drop in December and usually starts slowly rising after January until it peaks again in June/July.

This is exactly the reason why we have it - and it also integrates into our systems!
Forum bug reporting was never a good tool, we've wanted to move away from it for quite some time, forums are just not designed for that. Having a tool like this is ideal, it not only takes reports and integrates them into our systems, but also acts as a known issues board in a way, also when you are creating a report, it is able to mark as duplicates etc, which is a big time save and allows us to offer a much better service.
Not to mention that the duplicate report is even linked to the original report as I noticed recently so even another plus so they can easily access both reports information.

For people who use old distortion, it would.
And for people who use stealth, it would.
Giving it a dumbass anti-stealth condition with zero value given back, would kill the perk (which it did).
I would love for distortion to be changed like this.
Im praying that they do, but i doubt it since "wahh must chase, if not = bad perk"
No it would not fix Nowhere to Hide as the core problem with the perk is the ability to walk half a map with huge aura read. Like how changing Distortion how I said I wanted to change it to would any problem I stated Nowhere to Hide having?
-
No they are using a better way of reporting bugs that some random forum where they can update the status of it way easier. Sorry but this forum bug reporting was always not good way to do it in anyway. There was no point to have some mod adding it to the real bug report system they have in the house. Now it seems this thing can way easier to move to that one or they are using that as the main one so no need to jump through hoops.
Just to note that its also way better way to report them as its way easier to add videos and pictures where you can even edit those pictures after uploading so you can mark what the problem is.
This is step to better visibility to the players of what is happening and what is being fixed than the old I heard someone state in a thread somewhere in the forum or bug reports that this is getting fixed. Old does not mean good or better it just means old.

This one change to distortion already fixes both issues.
Doesnt benefit rats
gives survivors a way to get tokens without it ruining the whole reason of the perk, stealth.
It would not fix Nowhere to Hide as it still would be totally brain dead perk as in most maps you can walk half the map and see most of the survivors while doing so. Not all people would use Distortion anyway even with the change I suggested.
-
Never should have more than one use per survivor per match. People already use it to waste killers time if it worked more often it would waste even more time and I am not even talking about tunneling in this.
-
I feel like Behavior changed the queue to try to find matches on your MMR more recently and thats the reason why survivors might wait a little bit longer. Still wasn't this what people wanted. You can't have both fast queues and matching MMR one has to sometimes give when there is not enough players on same level than you.
Still with survivor queue it also depends on how many survivors is queuing in the same group. So lets say there is a lot of four man teams and three man teams but you don't have much solo or duos so it makes the incentive to be less but it can make you wait longer if you wait to get the right MMR level player and the right fit too.
-
Yeah killer should go stand in the farthest corner of the map from the hook and only move when survivor get unhooked. That is basically the equivalent of this suggestion. That survivor on hook is the only pressure the killer has if they can't protect the hook its mainly free escape for the survivor if they aren't in real bad area.
-
It literally says you can do it by throwing a snowball just ask in the lobby that someone makes a snowman and let you hit it with snowball. Got it done in first few matches yesterday.
-
@Emeal said:
I think the problem is you have relied too much on camping/tunneling and you dont have killer skills for the mmr that camping/tunneling left you at. Now that you are without those strengths you are at a dis advantage, you will lose alot of matches before your mmr corrects.
But honestly I think most people are pretty happy about losing camping.
Well its not gone it just takes some thinking than just standing next to the hook.

Killer Perk: Nowhere to Hide
Change aura reveal to center around the generator like it would make sense to be in the first place not on the killer. It should be killers Wiretap not I walk half a map aura reveal perk.
Survivor Perk: Distortion
Make token gain from generator fixing progress. Makes it more useful and as killer aura perks are just getting more and more. It also would make people do objectives.
