Aside from perks, proxy/camp as this might be the only time you'll find them.
-
I do too. The thing that frustrates me the most are the times they don't footstep + faint red scratch marks blending into the yellow sky yellow corn yellow brown dirt.
-
Because it makes certain loops practically infinite. So instead of changing the map, they changed the perk.
That and they said they wanted to bring it in line with the other exhaustion perks as they didn't have some passive benefit like balanced did.
-
If DeathGarden has shown me anything, it's that playing (or balancing) in good faith doesn't stop anyone from defaulting to the strongest builds/tactics.
So don't bother doing it unless you really don't care about the outcome. The only way you'll stop a Nea from running all those thing, the only way you get a guy to stop face camping is for the devs to come in and do something about it.
But the question is: Is it even a problem?
-
BBQ and Thrilling probably takes the most amount of effort to to trigger, because you need to down and hook a survivor compared to Tinker, Whispers, or Discordance that you just get. Besides, a lot of perks for both killer and survivor can be described as "lazy and skill less"
And then there's the strongest tracking perk IMO, Infectious Fright. If you're teammates are struggling with bbq aura's, they have no chance against IF.
-
I kind of got a "starter pack" feeling from the new survivor perks, which is really nice. It's got some survival, utility, and some meta counters against pop/hex/ruin.
Definitely a solid pick for anyone just thinking about getting their first DLC.
-
Hatchet sploosh, the distant sound of a clicking flashlight that reminds me of crickets chirping and Billy's "ahhhhhh".
Nvm, I though it was our favorite. I dont really like any of legions noises.
-
One way to punish gen campers is to slug survivors. If they don't get off, then they risk a snowball leading to everyone downed on the ground.
But it's up to you as a killer to recognize it and how far to push it as they can just as easily reset.
-
The only thing toxic that you described is the hateful mail.
-
Easily Blight. I can definitely have seen how he can be near on the same level as Nurse, but man am I terrible at him. I have an easier time on indoor maps as Nurse than I do with this greasy man.
But I do love that he seems to really punish the pre-throw pallet and hold w play style.

BUT HOW IS HE THE WORST?????? Sometimes I feel like people don't even read what the post says and just type as quick as they can that a killer is bad? He is far from the worst lol.
He's just inconsistent IMO, but you can lessen it by constantly running + throw rate and usb.
He's a ranged killer but with an effective range that is near melee, 110%, weaker zone potential because laceration has to be built over time (and can decay) .
His biggest strength is his ability to absolutely shred health states but it relies on map generation that gives extended LOS and survivor positioning.
He's okay and you will still do just fine against you're regular everyday survivor, but when compared to the rest of the cast, he flops.

So what? If the Killer dedicates 4 entire slots to gen defense perks, they should be rewarded.
The DBD community actively fears doing anything interesting with perks because of specific situations because they hate change, it's honestly impressive on how no other community has this fear and desire for stagnancy.
It's the same problem that survivors have with perks that give +1 health state. If anything, stacking makes the meta more stale because gen regression = second chance = more time to do anything. And just getting more time has more consistent value then some utility perks.
-
lol, not going to lie... this perks seems super fun to play around with, but I'm definitely going back to Nurse for a while till it calms down.
-
matchmaking giveth and it taketh away.
For every rainbow match in the survivor's favor, there's another in the killers.
I definitely know the 2 reds + purple in my Pig game, two of which were hooked and the latter party hatted, didn't appreciate the rank 14 crouching around still fearful of the TR
-
Ah yes, pop regressing 100% of a gen or ruin regressing at 800% the normal rate.
-
For me at least, with Wraith, you can see if a survivor is going to play the pallet, throw it early, or leave the loop while you are decloaking and can react immediately.
With Pig, it's a guess because of your low PoV. You can play around it and fake roars (if they don't realize that Pig's blade makes a 'shing' sound when she commits to a charge). But sometimes it's better to just face tank a few pallets then to try and dash gimmick a survivor that clearly knows better.
I still like Pig. She's one of my go-to's when I want to practice fundamentals.
-
I feel like I need to say that the "pride" part isn't to refer to some exclusive club that thinks they are better then any other group. Having Pride is being content with who you are when people will tell you that you are wrong, evil, or something broken that needs to be fixed through some bogus "therapy" for being LGBT+
And before people say "we don't need it anymore, they have their rights", In Montana, you can be fired for having an "alternative lifestyle" if your employer finds it "religiously burdening". Because in the Bermuda triangle that is bible belt America, having to hire and keep them on board is anti-religious.
-
Bro, I haven't leveled any survivors past Ashe and I always lose enthusiasm to put points into them when I see all those lvl 1's.
-
This gay ban hysteria is really getting ridiculous.
You will not get banned for sacrificing a survivor that has a pride charm. You will not get banned for tunneling them either.
BHVR's rules on harrassment has always been a thing. They haven't changed, and having a pride charm doesn't give someone special treatment so can we please stop being "concerned" or "worried" that it magically does.
Tunnelers, campers, you are safe to play as you want. Because if you could have been banned for it, you would have already because like wrote, the harassment rules have existed even before this.

So a killer spawning right next to a survivor is "fair" but a survivor spawning next to a gen or totem is not "fair"?
Am I to understand that this is how fairness works?
I remember when it felt normal for after every 4 or so games, you had one where:
-
their stance is pretty much the same as changed icon portraits. They won't ban for it, but can't help you if the anti-cheat decides to. I've been using a crosshair overlay for Huntress and Deathslinger for what seems like ever and nothing has happened.

I don't understand what your tier list is trying to show. I thought you were going to talk about common perks, but I don't understand what a "free" perk is if that's not what your talking about. What perk doesn't cost bloodpoints to level up? I am very confused.
Free just means the perks that you have available just by buying the base version. No dlc.
A lot of the killer meta revolves around dlc perks compared to survivors that have a solid selection at no extra cost.
-
I suppose it's like that because bloodpoints on mobile don't work the same way as they do on the main version. You can't lvl and get perks with bloodpoints on mobile, only by actually playing the killer in "real" games.
Whether it should change is something else, but with the whole "bloodpoint economy" thing, I doubt they'll introduce an easier way of getting BP.

I mean yeah let me just use pigs power to counter holding W
God, nothing is more depressing then crouch walking up to a survivor only to realise they already took off early. Sometimes I wonder if I'm better off just throwing out the stealth entirely and playing as an m1 killer.
-
Make maps more Square like with tiles set in a way that allow the killer to actually cut off survivors instead of long rectangular ones you just run down the long side.

Yes the auto ban system is a little worrying. However, if people would just use common sense it would be pretty clear that peeps are only going to get banned if they openly admit in a recordable way that they are specifically targeting lgbt players. This could be through an end game chat, profile name, profile description, recorded voice through stuff like YouTube and twitch. Stuff like that.
The reactions though from this community is however pathetic as hell. Because guess what, people who wear the charm aren't concerned about getting an advantage but are concerned with be able to show their pride. It's not about those not in the lgbt community, it's about us and these threads are trying to take that away from us intentionally or not.
Honestly though, To me nothing is more LGBT+ than the 'slippery slope'.
Before gay marriage was even a thing, I'd hear people really believing that if you let two consenting homosexual get married, it would lead people fighting for the right to marry farm animals.

Well how can you prove that? What if the killer is overwhelmed and tunnels to secure a kill? I guess they're banned for being a homophobe because the guy wearing the charm lost, I guess I need to throw it on and report everyone who tunnels me now because this is the direction we're choosing to take this
Thats just normal play.
I mean like, they tunnel you out of the game, every game you ever have with them, but do not do it to anyone else. Could be like those is it bodyblocking griefing? is it not? rules that change depending on the situation.
I wouldn't worry about it. They barely punish people who are actually cheating, and really really really doubt an innocent player will get banned on a false report or 2.
-
it's probably going to work the same way they said tunneling in general might be considered grieving. It has to be over multiple games, and it has to show that they are specifically focusing on you in a way that is completely different from how they normally play.
-
You can blame the people that say they de-rank because they "don't want a sweaty game" but bring in a super meta build + jacked items + swf into a rank 13 killer with 1 base perk.
-
That's because mobile has to actually try and get players attention.
Console/pc doesnt because there isn't any alternative like Identity V does for the mobile port.
-
Against both there really not much you can do, but at least huntress gives you the feeling that you're doing something before she hits you over pallets/loops/around corners.
-
I think they're fine. Though on bigger maps they don't do damage or apply infection as easily as on smaller maps, they still do offer a bit of soft tracking every now and again.
-
Trickster is a lost cause with a power that is too easy to make oppressive or useless. Lets just forget he exists and move on to bigger and better killers.
-
I think if you want to be some zombie hunter, then you're better off running head-on.
-
Mori: after hooking a survivor 2 times, the killer must then go to the basement, pray at an alter to the entity for 30 seconds, after which, they have earned their mori on that specific survivor.... if they consent and agree it is not toxic.
Keys: * crickets * .... half a second unlocking animation has to be fully played

and survivors have the ability to negate that completely
I downed more survivors trying to evade the goop because they take wide loops than I've ever with punishment of the damned
-
There is a survive with bots option in ptb. It's not very good but it's there. But I don't want see them outside of that. For me, it was huge buzzkill in ID V.
-
he seems to have plague/myers counter play where you try to power starve them. I guess just walk up to a zombie and get purposely infected, then play regularly.

Wrong, people complained about the NEW UI we had a few months back, and it got changed.
I definitely think that them shooting themselves in foot during that time with the colorblind comment did more to open them up, then an arbitrary "I don't like the UI".
-
petitions don't ever do anything.
If it really bothers the community, they have to to stop playing the game.

Counterforce looks scary powerful. I also love Blast Mine but man it seems like a better version of Repressed Alliance. And Resurgence is just better Solidarity.
Rookie Spirit and Bite the Bullet seem like weak perks, the flashbang one hasn't been posted unfortunately.
Hope to see the other perks posted soon.
I have to see blast mine. I kind of feel like it doesn't have much use. If I'm kicking a generator, it's because I don't have anything else to do. Getting a stun + blind doesn't really add to much but just be slightly annoying.
Unless it like activates before pop gets applied, so it makes them have to kick it again.
Still though, it does seem like a fun perk.
-
Yeah, I didn't really get it. Mories are already dead, so I don't get what he meant by calling them 'toxic'. You can't even animation spam them anymore.
when they said "make the killer work for it", I thought that they might be thinking of changing Devour, so you couldn't 2 hook two survivors, 1 hook another, then mori the last guy you might not have seen all game.
I don't know, they didn't say much about so it could be anything at this point.
-
I don't get the 'mories are toxic and we want to make them less like that' comment.
Bro, Mories are dead.
-
This year, Zombies will pallet camp you.

!AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Not with undying around imo

Honestly no I think the opposite. Aside from Trickster Twins, Blight, PH and Slinger are all very heavily punished for missing their power. Victor gets kicked, blight juices up again, PH miss animation takes years, slinger has to reload. If anything DH is more effective against the newer killers.
The reason I say this is because their abilities have range, and it makes the survivors have to wager whether or not you'll throw it out. If they misjudge, they put themselves in a very predictable forward motion. It's not as predictable as seeing/hearing the swing animation, then hit E to pallet.
-Deathslinger can still just flash his ADS, you aren't forced to commit to a shot. If they throw it down, at a long wall, you can chase them normally and spear them as they turn the corner. If it's a short one you can shoot them in animation, then just creep around the side for an m1.
-Victor can lunge over pallets, and has some extended damage frames so he can down them through DH. He also can use his 150% to run up and hug survivors.
-PH still has his 50/50s at pallets, and a DH can line you up for an easy down.
-Blight doesn't have a way to directly hit on the loop like the others (well, not counting the flick), but he can force down pallets and quickly catch up with his dash minimizing any distance gained by the DH to pallet strat.
Compared to a killer like Pig, who doesn't have anything once the survivors figure out her double back gimmick.
Sure, it's not 100%, but the option to do it puts DH a bit lower on the obnoxious meter than older ones that don't.
-
I think at this point, DH is perk that only really affects older m1 killers. All of the newer killers have some kind of anti loop option that makes DH less impactful IMO.
