Balance overpowered perks and addons (DS, Noed, Instaheal, some killer addons)
Immediate DC penalty (5 min waiting -> 15 min -> 1 day)
Adress gen- & sacrifice times to prolong the game. Lessen the gap between efficient genrushers and immersed stealthplayers. E.g. gens automatically repair over time and actively repairing gens is slower than now.

Explain to us then how you counter a smart survivor at any farm map.
Huntress is one of the best killers against good survivors. Spirit is around the same strength, but less dependant on creating opportunities and more based on her cooldowns. Could be better or worse. Against a good coordinated swf, Spirit may be too slow due to her cooldowns, while Huntress can snowball quickly with a few good shots. Against average survivors, Spirit could be more consistent overall, if you dont need Huntress potential. Imo Huntress is the most balanced killer and deserves her toptier spot.
Why do you respond like this to my question to that other guy? I'm confused lol
I started about predictions and reading their dodge patterns, but then my mind drifted off

I like it, silent billy confuses me since i tap to the same rhythm.

I actually think it should be louder for survivors too. So they can hear how far away he is and which direction, when he uses the chainsaw. That would balance out his map control with survivors map control and close the gap between solo survivors and swf ("billy is over here").

Someone wants Hex: Ruin to carry him all the way
-
After the exhaustion nerf, i wouldnt say so. It did hurt SB more, but it still has the same utility as before. Plus you can manage exhaustion even easier and 99% it. Its still the lifesaver out of the basement, from hooktunnelers, unsafe gens against 1-shot killer and a timewaster before every chase. Imo still a top 3 perk, but its both very easy and very hard to use.

Outdated stuff? Funny. I guess then those new rounds of the No Pip Squad recently must have been hallucinations then.
I'm fine losing 1/100 games against a depip squad. 4 skilled swfs who execute very well deserve to win. The average r1 game is a breeze though. I dont focus on the 1% of games. I can bring up dice too who 4k'ed 1200 survivors in a row or Monto 4k'ing 100 games in a row. Or nurse mains who 4k every game. It goes both ways

Ruin is a badly designed bandaid fix. It wrecks newer players, while it barely affect good survivors. Ideally the solution should be the other way around.
-
Mine is pretty straight forward. It rolls so easily from the tongue, whatever state you're in, and after 10 years, i grew attached to the name even though i consider it childish nowadays.
-
Not healing gives 32s of gentime.
If 2 survivors do gens while you get chased, you just have to waste 16s while chasing with your extra health state to make it worth healing.
Or 10s if every other survivor does gens. You'd have to be very bad at chases to not make your second health state worth it. -

Blueberry said: It was a good idea. The reason it didn't work is because it just further illustrated how strong survivors currently are even without healing and how brokenly fast the gens can be done. The healing change wasn't the issue, it just made the more serious issue more noticeable. The change was still a good one, SC was way too strong. No it shows survivors will adapt faster to game changes. Nerf to exhaustion perks followed by nerf to selfcare and killers still complain. Nerf 2 meta killer perks and see what happens.
It's funny they want to talk about killers having to adapt lmao right, I guess we must've imagined all the survivor nerfs over the past two years. I wish some of these people could see what it was like playing killer before with recovering exhaustion, pallets loaded down in maps, faster healing, the old BNP, the old BT, hexes spawning in ridiculously open places, vacuum pallets , dead hard getting you to places to hold the game hostage, true infinites etc.... I could literally go on with the laundry list of nerfs survivors that have happened since I first started playing killer but yet people still cry, it's getting pretty ridiculous
Sounds to me like you started playing Killer comparably recently. If you look at the game from 2.0.0 onwards and disregard all the buffs Survivors/nerfs Killers had prior to that update, then you lack the bigger picture of why tables have turned now.
I started playing killer on console release date , and buffs? Lol that's a joke , those were more QOL changes than buffs, you sir are extremely biased if you're going to sit here and pretend like it's just as hard to play killer now just like it was two years ago
I've played this game since PC release, always as a 50/50 player, ranked up well over 2000 hours and maintain the Wiki for nearly 2 years now. I know of every buff, nerf, rework and QoL change there ever was in the game.
I will not put up with anyone daring to call me biased.
As for your comment after that:
All in all, playing Killer was easiest in 2016, ranged anywhere from moderate to difficult all throughout 2017 and half of 2018 and is now back to moderate. I never claimed it was difficult, but it also most definitely isn't easy compared to 2016.Survivor on the other hand was only hard in 2016, when no one knew what the hell they were doing. Ever since that, it's been easy, especially so in a group and still is if you don't [BAD WORD] around and play stupid.
What?!?! Are we playing the same game??
2016 survivors were totally overpowered, 2017 survivors were still strong but the gross imbalances were reduced, 2018 is pretty much ezpz.Infinites, pallettown, window vacuum, palletvacuum, slooow killervaults, no exhaustion sprintburst, jungle gyms, no obsession ds, instablinds, 60s gens, no gen kicking, no aurareading perks, only whispers/nurses calling/enduring/brutal strength vs 4x Sprintburst/DS/SC/Adrenaline or Iron will or Sabo
Survivor in 2016 was so ez, you could just CHOOSE not to go down. Not exaggerating.
Now the game is balanced -
Selfcare didnt get changed, healing did.
Its still as good as before, im happy to see survivors not healing. Makes it even easier to snowball and win, just to progress gens for a bit. Beeing injured is still a very weak state. -

You dont need ruin. It doesnt make you a bad killer, but playing without it will benefit you in the long run.
The games you lose are against 3-4 good survivor who work through ruin anyways. In 90% of the matches it is overly effective though imo. Not saying overpowered since it can be countered, but for actual game impact, its probably the strongest perk for killers.
Playing without ruin means every mistake is costly. So in a way, i consider ruin a crutch, but i can see why many people pick it up, the gen times are really too fast. -

No addons in your average r1 game:
Nurse
Billy, Hag, Spirit, Huntress (against depip squads: Huntress, Spirit, Billy, Hag)Myers, Pig, Clown, Doctor
Wraith, Trapper, Leatherface, Freddy, LegionHag and Trapper vary depending on swf. Higher on the list against solos, lower against coordinated survivors.
Leatherface could be the worst, since his ability is truely useless against good survivors. Wether its worse than freddys drawbacks or legions 110%, idk. But those three compete for worst killer. -

Are you joking? Hag is about 10x stronger than Spirit. Nurse>>>>>>>>Billy>Hag>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Spirit. And she's the 4th top tier killer. Hag is the weakest toptier killer against coordinated survivors. Huntress is inconsistent towards both sides, she can 4k and 0k the most, a pretty wildcard (which is good against tryhards swfs).
I used to place billy 2nd, but we have so many viable toptier killers that are better against 1k+ hour survivors, its hard to rate them. If i had to play against myself 4x, i would definitely not pick billy.Huntress is mid tier imo, joint with Myers. I place Billy second from my experience with him. I've played and mastered all 4 of the top tier killers (Nurse, Billy, Hag and Spirit) so I just know them from my experiences. But if I were to say, Spirit has the best chasing in the game. Nurse and Hag have the same chases for me (Around 10 seconds) and Billy has the worst chasing. Pressure wise, Billy and Nurse are the best. With Hag 3rd and Spirit last. Who's best at controlling everything survivors do? Undoubtedly Hag.
All of the top tier killers are amazing at something and better then every other kill. You're right, its hard to compare them. But I just rate them from my experiences.
"Mastering" a killer takes way more than playing them a bit. I have close to 1k hours on billy and mained him since release before the arrowkey exploit. I probably really mastered him or close to, but i would never say so, since he has a really high skillcap and you can always improve on accuracy and skillshots and cutting loops.
Are you as good as zubat with billy? If not, you havent mastered him. And there are better billys than zubat. Just like any true nurse, hag, spirit or huntress main would laugh, when you consider them mastered. It takes a lot of time, since their skillcap is very deep. ~1k hours to master one. I dont think ANYONE has mastered every killer. Im trying to do it, 2,6k hours in, but its impossible even for toptier killers.Ranting aside, i think you really underestimate their skillcaps and what they can do.

The order is debatable.

Already killermain since release and im happy how things went last year. From a long, long list of broken things (infinites, vaultspeeds, pallet amount, pallet vacuum, instablinds, sprintburst, healing time,...) only 3 things are still left on my list:
Decisive Strike!
Instaheal
Genrush -
This game is much better when 420ing
1 week till the exams are over, then its time again hehe boy -
Real flick back when?
Serious, its the only remaining skillcap left for billy. Lets not make him more braindead to play. They already removed the endflick in 2016 which took away a good skillportion of his kit and i would be more than happy if they reinvented it to increase his skillcap. For a toptier killer, he should be less about driving around the map to get value and more about mechanical skill and hard to hit shots. -

Instasaw is broken. Instasaw makes him easy to use, you can spam it nonstop without thinking wether it will hit or not, since it closes the gap anyways without cooldown and you can just start another saw with 1s charge time.
overrated, i can easily deal with instasaws
That doesnt make it less broken. Some claim they can deal with 3-omegablink. But it lowers the skillfloor so dramatically that the risk/reward is unbalanced. Billys chainsaw at base is high risk/high reward ability. With instasaw there is no risk, just spam. Like 3 omegablink nurse, you can keep correcting your mistakes.
it isn't broken, it's comparatively mediocre compared to some other addon combos
You're just mad that it gets nerfed and you have to learn how to play him properly instead of playing him like legion ;D

Most swf's are pretty bad. I rarely run into problematic 4-swfs, those that are good at the game and run full crutchperks and tryhard to win. Most swfs are just people goofing around, not depip squads.
And if they act toxic, you can still tunnelcamp them and tryhard yourself. Or use op addons or toptier killers. -

Balanced.
use your ears and eyes. They really help, yea i know you don't believe me but open your eyes and listen more carefully. if you get hit in first 10s of the game by billy chainsaw (or if you get hit next to a gen you're working on) that's 100% on you, not that billy is that good, you are that bad.
It's not me that gets hit that early luckily it's teammates.
The thing with Billy is he can land on top of survivors before they have a chance to make it to a pallet. Everybody knows this, Then it's instachainsaw and down.
No other killer can just fly across the map and instadown people like he can. No way he is the most balanced killer.
That just means that instasaw needs a nerf. If you do the math, you get a 16s headstart with his addonless cooldown (2,5s cooldown -> 2,5s*4m/s = 10m -> 10m/0,6m/s = 16,6s)
They have to balance his addons first, all the complains come from instabillys, which really takes no skill and brain. After that, they can look into QE, since it was never intended to control him like normal movement.
I really doubt theres gonna be much complaints after that.
But to give an idea: GIve him global directional sounds for his chainsaw. Gives bad loopers some map control to avoid billy and gives solo survivors the same advantages as swf. -

A buff to Ambush wou8ld be awesome, add-on or base. I only use it in chases actually, when I sneak up on people I just stand up, sometimes pull them off the Gen.
This. I've done some tests in kyf and currently, without addons, survivors can run ~20m away from the loop when they start running asap (when they see you go crouch).
Further reducing her uncrouch speed would really help in her mindgame part. -

Against competent survivors you get hits on vault places, not pallets. If you block a vault space, survivor will just move on to the next vault place or a pallet. Besides, the block is not even that long. Anyone above rank 10 can confirm that bamboozle is not just a waste of a perk, but actually something that works against you.
Depends... Bamboozle can be a great perk depending on the map. Its situational and only good against excellent survivors. Say, a longwindow jungle gym spawns next to a palletloop or a T-wall or even shack. A good survivor can loop those setups for very long times and bamboozle can cut the most important window.
Its also pretty good in general against shack (if the survivor is good).Very situational and not a perk to vault T-walls with. But it can be toptier against toptier survivors on strong maps.

The bit in italics is my idea but if you want to criticise please read some of the other stuff first as it explains my reasoning.I've suggested something similar in the past and got hate for it but recently i made a thread asking why hard camping (would call it face camping but i know people don't refer to it as that anymore since the change to hooks) is a thing, and many people agreed that there is something wrong with it, but straight up nerfing it is the wrong idea, so i thought i'd try again.
I fully understand camping as i play more killer than survivor and i agree it is sometimes necessary (for example there are scratch marks in the area, or a gen is on 90% nearby, or the gens are finished). However, more and more, as survivors get better at the game in the purple and red ranks, more and more killers are camping without a reason, other than it's easy, and guarantees at least one kill.
However, quite often it gets more kills, as survivors will go for the save and get downed and there's the killers second victim. Killers always say "survivors feed face campers by going to the hooks" but that's just plain stupid. If they didn't go to the hooks, 3 survivors would spend all game holding mouse one doing gens, 1 survivor would be stuck doing nothing on a hook, and the killer would be afk. It's boring for everyone, you wouldn't pip, and you wouldn't get and blood points.
The reason i believe unjustified camping to be so scummy is it is a win win for the killer as they either guarantee one kill, or more kills from boring survivors into being stupid. Constantly people say "the devs say it's intended". The reason that's stupid is the devs didn't intend the boring game i described earlier, but at the same time, it IS technically the survivors fault for camping being strong as they go to the hook, so you're stuck in a loop of it always being justified.
I understand many killers at higher ranks feel they need to use such strategies to secure a kill, but often it can be out of salt and they just wish to ruin that particular survivors game. I strongly believe that some change should be made that rewards killers for leaving the hook, and punishing them for specifically for camping doing NONE of the objectives. By this i mean, if a killer is standing by a hook, and the gens aren't finished, there should be some penalty (for example he has a gradual decrease in movement speed or the hooked person dies slower). However if some cocky survivor is running round the hook, as long as you're in a chase with them, the negative affects would not happen. Meanwhile if they leave said hook, they gain a slight buff (for example slight speed increase or faster death of person on hook).
My ideas are just suggestions, but my main argument is that there is something wrong with how camping works, and a change (NOT A NERF) must be made. Also yes i know it's been done before but that was a straight up nerf, and was so unthought through, that it was abused, and since then everyone's been scared of change, including the devs.
If u get less than 10% Hook Proximity on your Chaser emblem after the match has ended, u didnt camp at all!
Camping is something related to survivors who very often camp hooks, hatches, gens and pallets. But they dont lose their emblems because of that!
Thats why i always say that this is an extremely survivors sided game!
Again i'll say, that's not the type of camping i'm talking about. I play killer and of course i'm going to stay round the hook if there's a bunch of survivors sitting in the area, but when they just stand in your face to ensure your death, which happens very often if you know how to pallet loop well, it's boring for everyone, and despite what people say, i don't think the devs intended people to play like that
The camping you want to punish is honestly unpunishable without punishing the innocent. You have great intentions. I applaud you for that. The issue is, some people do not care about the pips or bp. They play the game simply to kill other players. If hard/face/way too intimate for comfort camping is how they decide to ensure their kill, no matter the number of punishes you give them will stop it. All you end up doing is giving all other killers a penalty that will honestly be exploited to death.
Also, as I play both sides and have played up and down the rank ladder, hard camping happens but it is not this wide spread epidemic you are painting it to be.
Yeh i play both sides too, and i don't know if it's my play style, or my luck, but i get hard camped often enough for it to ruin my day. Some days it won't happen at all, whilst others it will happen once every 3 games or so and sometimes even more. i don't tbag and stuff, i'm just decent at pallet looping and can last a while. I do understand though that some players go purely for the satisfaction of killing, which is understandable. I appreciate your understanding and i advice you look at @Weederick 's suggestion further up in the chat as his idea is far better than mine
I read the suggestion, and while it is not a bad one and would add an interesting change to gameplay, it still would not change the core issue you want addressed, hard camping. The killer will still sit there and wait no matter how long, while still punishing those who play correctly. So a helpful totem gets cleansed, giving the sacrifice timer more time and even though I am not even camping, it punishes me by giving survivors more time to complete gens and then make the save.
Thats just one example of a mechanic. They could add more mechanics to interact with camping. If a killer hardcamps, survivors can cleanse totems to buy gentime. If he's not camping though, you'd be wasting time cleasning totems instead of doing gens. The killer could get notified when someone cleanses totems, so he gets a next target, in case hes insecure about leaving the hook. And so on,... they can bring more depth to a camping playstyle. Its not necessarily bad. Its currently just boring. Like playing chess with pawns only. Its a more wholesome game with more figures and strats.

Designwise the game itself promotes, or at least allows, some kind of gameplay around hooks. Otherwise, hooked survivors would only respawn after "n" seconds in a random location of the map, or an impenetrable (for killer) wall would form around the hooked guy. But then again, people would complain about killers standing outside the wall...Playing around the hook and camping would be fun, if the devs change it to make it fun. I can see that this game revolves around hooks and baits and human psychology. But the actual gameplay of playing around hook is boring, bland and forces everyone to hold M1.
If the devs actually gave counterplay, mechanics and a worthwhile playstyle to camping, hell yeah lets camp. But its not. Nothing interacts with camping. They could make dull totems into helpful totems. While you cleanse them, the sacrifice timer slows down considerably. Give it some more dynamics and develop the game into something that revolves around hooks. -
S: Sprintburst, Balanced Landing
A: Dead Hard, LitheAnd no, you dont walk around with sprintburst. You sprint to the next gen and let it regen there. The only times its worth saving, is when you're repairing very unsafe generators in a deadzone. And usually only against oneshot killers (LF, billy, Myers whos been silent for a while). If you have to do something other than gens, let it regen to 99% and run around from there. You can pop it whenever you need it.
You cant go wrong with any exhaustion perk though. They're all good perks, i just find more unique versatility in sprintburst and balanced landing. Sprintburst gets you out of hopeless clutch situations (basement, tunneled, slugged, chainsawed) and (un)balanced landing breaks some maps and allows for vertical loops. -
Decisive Strike should be clear
Sprintburst counters every killer and provides a reliable safety net. Learn how to manage exhaustion and i believe sb to be the best, most versatile perk in the game. Wether its genrush, unhooking, looping, escaping hooktunnelers, getting away after slugged, escaping the basement or just general efficiency.Ruin as Might_Oakk said

Have an upvote. May i remind the og players how a camping meta looks like? Back when trappers camped the hook and had noed every game? One unlucky survivor gets caught and camped, the rest escapes and no one even tries to go for the save since every trapper camped. The game wasn't fun, even though the "strat" is counterable. It just leads to the ever same results. One guy dead, rest escapes. If killer camped early, he could noed a second guy. 2 kills, 2 escape = perfect balance? Except there is no variation or skillcap in it. Every game was a legion game.
Back then, people didnt went for saves. Generation borrowed time turned that concept upside down and everyone is hookrushing like mad. Campers back then really lost, but nowadays they dont, since unhooking gives the most bloodpoints and pips. Either encourage genrushing and escaping, or discourage unhooking. Cause the game rewards altruistic hookrushing which gets everyone killed. Survivors were different back then

Hello again, going from billy to survivor as it seems
Im not as good as no0b3 or real survivor mains, but i can give some adviceI generally watch for the red stain and hit Space at the latest moment possible. This gives you a little bit more time to react. If the red stain comes towards me, i jump the window. If it stops or turns around, i will fake it. You just have to watch out for moonwalkers, who will start to turn around and moonwalk at that exact moment to make you fake out the window and then they are right behind you. Dont know how to counter that, since its hard to make the correct decision in a split second.
You keep looping the pallet and try to keep the killer on the longer side of the loop. You always want to jump the pallet when he is on the longer side. If you guess correctly, you can usually make a loop for more free time, but try to never end up vaulting with the killer on the short side.
If the pallet is really unsafe and he challenges you on it, you will get hit. Waste as much time by winning mindgames as possible, then use the hitburst to run off. Dont vault if you know you'll get hit, take the full hitburst instead.Use windows as much as possible. Dont drop the pallet if you know you're getting hit. Dont drop god pallets if you're healthy. Only use god pallets when you're injured to prevent going down. So your general plan is to create loops with all the windows nearby and use pallets inbetween to break bloodlust. Cowtree, Jungle gyms, 4 walls, shack etc all have windows. While some are not strong on their own, a single palletloop nearby can create really strong loops where you dont have to drop a pallet for a long time.
Thx. I mostly play killer, but I do enjoy playing survivor. I kinda caved and decided to play Billy with Q and E. It's just superior to mouse honestly. Still have a ways to go though.
I really like your tip about the red stain. Sometimes it can be hard to judge what the red stain is doing. So I'll watch and see if I can notice it slowing down or fading.
I think the hardest part is knowing whether or not you're versing a good or bad killer. At which point you'll know to watch out for moonwalking.
It is superior tbh... You dont have to worry about consistency or accuracy, but just the timing when to press qe.
Yeah probably true. Another tip when you use this moonwalk trick against survivors: They will fall for it the first time and always take the window for the second time. They're not falling for it a second time, but that makes them predicatble too. -
Trapper / Dwight

Kate is just meghead in disguise. Same kind of players play her

Camping happens in any game, any shooter or even fighting games... it just has a different name in each one.If you truly hate camping just bring Borrowed Time.
But camping is also actively getting balanced. No one likes the terrorist who is camping his own spawn point. He is just getting kicked. And every mechanic is programmed to disfavor camping to nerf it. Camping is inherently strong, thats why latency favors the aggressive players and disfavors staying close to corners.
Other genres try to balance it. -
He's not bad, one of the few killers that you have to respect in a chase.
But he is hard to play, you need good mechanics for this throw and if you're not a good chaser in the first place, clown wont help you much. He has little room for error in his playstyle.Clown could need some qol buffs though. He is not very rewarding for how hard he is to play.

The new map will have second floor (like The Game for example)
They're working on chapter XII btw so this could mean that it'll be licensed because licence has to be bought early
I've lost all hopes of good killers, especially after Freddy and legion.
Here's to hoping the killers design is more grotesque and actually interesting.
I found last years killers amazing. Pig, Clown and Spirit are very well designed and balanced (pigs so good, she replaced my billy main). Too bad they had to drop the legion bomb to ruin it. Compared to 2017's Doctor, Freddy and Leatherface i'd take 2018 anyday. Huntress was a gem though.
I trust the devs to release more awesome killers. I think they "got it". Apart from legion -

Ok.Easiest:
- Billy
- Wraith
- Leatherface
- Freddy
Intermediate:
- Nurse
- Trapper
- Pig
- Doctor
- Hag
Hardest
- Huntress
- Spirit
- Myers
- Legion (nobody except Tru3 plays him correctly.)
- Clown
Nurse as intermediate but Legion as hard? No way. Legion has a brain-dead power that can be exploited by a broken add-on. All they do is stab at you 28 times. Nurse is mechanically difficult and takes muscle memory and skill.
If you think only Tru3 plays Legion correctly, you obviously haven’t seen Monto’s Legion videos. Although just because few people play them correctly doesn’t mean they are hard to master.
Legion when played correctly is hard. Btw I forgot about Monto and other players my bad. Nurse is not difficult she's extremely straightforward. She's quite brain dead once you get used to how far your blinks go and how to predict survivors. I gave her intermediate because she's not easy for newer players. Honestly, I myself got good with her in 3 games. I know a ton of people who had her down in the 2nd game.
Wait, you're serious about your list? That looked like a clever bait. Wraith harder than billy, trapper harder than nurse, legion hard and mentioning tru3 as the only killer who plays legion right? Please tell me you're joking, that looks like a lot of memes compiled into one list.
Billy is straightforward. I literally just said I forgot about people like Monto playing Legion right. Trapper takes a ######### ton of predicting. No reward though. Wraith needs mindgames to secure a hit.
So mastering billys chainsaw takes the least time out of all killers to master. Are you sure about that??
Is that the reason why there are often threads asking how to control billys saw?Legion is not hard to play. He literally ignores every rule and counterplay. Hold W and M1 to the nearest auraread. If theres none left, hold W and M1 to the last survivor.
Which mindgames does wraith need to secure a hit?
Wait dude you misread it. The 1 is hardest and it goes down to easiest.. I should have clarified. So Billy is the hardest in the easy tier. I meant to put Nurse as the hardest in intermediate, and the hardest is Huntress. I got a little confused myself, my bad. I still think using Legion CORRECTLY (like Tru3, Monto and so on...) is hard. And Wraiths mindgames with the bell, in case you didn't know are actually difficult to understand. At a T/L wall, he can double back similarly to the Pig and against smart survivors, he can just go straight if they expect a double back which messes up their heads. At loops in general, he can do something similar. Jungle gyms are his weakness.
Ah got it. Yeah its confusing since we list from easy to hard, but then you go from hard to easy in the tier.
I still would disagree with some picks. Billy takes a lot of continous effort to play well and missing 1-2 chainsaws can cost you the game. I dont know how hard it is to nail survivors with a controller, but with the mouse, its all but easy. Apart from huntress, i spent the most time perfecting billys chainsaw and theres nothing that comes close to the difficulty of nailing survivors around long loops and adjust to dodges in the span of milliseconds.
I have a theory why people think he is "easy". And that is, because its so hard to hit survivors, that people actually gave up and dont bother to learn it at all and call him mastered when they use it for mobility.
Mobility takes 0 skill indeed though. Its hitting survivors up close which is decently hard. Not to mention midrange saws around loops, which is imo the hardest mechanical skill in the game (Huntress flicking through small slits could top that...)
You can do the billy test. Play shack, start the chainsaw outside the entrance and turn 90-180° to the window. Tell me how often you hit the window. You have to get that down 8/10 times or else you're throwing.
Maybe i have high standards for billy, but if we're talking about mastery, billy is hard man.Do you talk about wraith mindgame using his power? Without addons, i find his power pretty useless in a chase. Couldnt use it effectively to counter palletloops like pig, but maybe i havent tried enough. Does that work without addons? If yes, i'll reconsider my list. So far he seems like the most basic of killers. Uncloak for a free hit, then chase normally. Thats his whole plan, maybe a bodyblock while uncloaking.
I actually do really well as Billy, he's my main right now and I understand his chainsaw extremely well. Spirit is way too hard and I've yet to buy the Hag DLC. With Wraith, he is actually viable with proper perks and no addons. If you time it precisely and mindgame it similarly to Pig, he can actually shut down a loop, addons or not. Always cloak when chasing btw and try to bodyblock. If you don't cloak, you'll lose that pressure in chase. It's extremely difficult to track a cloaked Wraith in chase. More difficult to track then Spirit and that's with her two passive phasing addons. You should try learning it, it's super helpful.
I'll give wraith another shot. I find pigs antiloop just barely strong enough to work and wraiths uncloak is "weaker", so i really doubted that it works, but i'll try again.
Guess everyone is different. I find Spirit relatively easy compared to billy, since there is no mechanical skill involved. She's more about tracking and predictions, which i find pretty easy.
Glad you find billy easy, i mostly see M1llys nowadays who skip his noed part and complain in chat that they hate playing billy because they cant hit #########
