Glad you had success with it, I ran it on Legion with thana, pop, and sloppy. Sure it slowed them down a little but early game it doesn't do anything, maybe I just got unlucky with the people who were obsession just dc'd every time I downed them.

Honestly, it may work better for killers that snowball the game. Killers like Trapper and Shape who start off weak, but gain strength as it goes on (Only if the Trapper was able to set a side of the map with traps).

  • I've rather liked it. Granted, only ran it 3 matches on Trapper. I combined it with Thanataphobia, Chili, and Monitor. Took the traps that cause extra bleeding and it was a slaughter. Got to around 4 stacks and the trapfest started. They were unable to get gens done fast. I think I'll mix it with PGW, since goal is lots of hooks, it should work well with that.

  • He seems kind of fun to me. I have not played him much since he went live. I have faced several of them as a survivor and it is sad how many use his power to camp/tunnel. It is nuts. Unfortunately, I'm playing with my family, who does not play DbD often and are all rank 18-19 and a bunch of smurf killers with all tier 3 perks rank 18 using DG to tunnel like a mad man.

That said, I place him mid tier. I main Trapper, but could see myself putting DG into my off-main rotation of Shape, Doc, Pig and Hag.

  • Ummm..there is nothing in the wording of DS that says it won't work if you get them from a trap or locker. Why would they not be able to? In fact, I think it makes even more sense that a prepared survivor in a locker stabs the killer. Or one sitting at a trap hides a sharp object. Makes total sense.

  • I played the map as killer three times (plus ptb) and loved it. As survivor, I am learning that totem placement is insanely strong on this map. Ruin, and DH are insanely strong on that map. I've had one totem destroyed so far as killer.

I have only read up to this point but if you are going to insult someone's understanding of "source material", you should probably have a solid grasp yourself:

One of Jasons chief abilities is some sort of unacknowledged teleportation ability (though in fairness, even to call it that feels wrong).

Prime example: in part VIII, with the teacher in the alley after they reach Manhattan (if you need me to elaborate you probably need to re-assess your own knowledge of the "source material".)

Additiionally, you could argue that "he didn't alway s have those 'powers'" and you would be incorrect. His powers grew as the series unfolded and really only became supernatural in the 6-7 transition (which would make a great survivor +perks...part vii I mean!)

It could also be argued that during parts 1,2 and 3 where {SPOILER ALERT LOL} The killer is his human mom and then just him as a grown up, that he is able to accomplish some very supernatural tasks (is killing and planting bodies while being undetected). If you aren't sure what I mean, rewatch those first 3 and try to figure out how a human could accomp!ish those things.

TL;dr if they can make ghost face a killer, Jason has a wealth of abilities to draw from..UNLESS they pull from the remake....in which case, yes you are right. He's a psycho w a machete, but PLEASE don't tell me you are arguing in this thread and are only familiar with the reboot...Nobody wants reboot Jason the same way nobody really wanted reboot freddy

Holy crapan, you should really try reading the whole thing before posting. I actually mention teleporting. At no point am I insulting anyone. I have seen every Friday the 13th movie, and have seen nothing viable in them that brings anything new to the game. (As mentioned above, hypnotizing survivors is not viable.)

I also say that IMO (again, my opinion) Jason is a bad fit for DbD. At the essence of his character is a big, strong dude that can't be killed. No DbD killer can be killed in game. We already have several teleporting killers, and Jason would have no special form of attack. At best, he'd have a mori like Shape.

Done with this thread. My response will not change. Jason would be boring for DbD.

  • Jason - boring, straight forward and we have boot-leg Jason already in Trapper.

Well, this is just plain wrong. Friday the 13Th The Game shows was kind of things would be doable. As well as MKX.

Teleporting would be on the table. In the realm of the movies, it's never shown to be 100% true. But, sense he does find his victims so easily, it's a power both Friday the 13Th the Game and MKX gave him as a sort of spoof on it. So, yeah, I could totally see Jason teleporting similar to Freddy in DBD. It would fit.

Also, both games work on the fact that he can't die and is resistant to attacks. He can come back form the dead in MKX, even loosing all his health, and in Friday the 13Th the game he can never die unless a ritual is performed. Otherwise, he can only be stunned. So, maybe DBD could essentially give Jason a built in enduring that the actually enduring could stock on top of even more. Make pallets just bounce off Jason because physical attacks mean nothing to.

Maybe give him something like Myers where he could M1 Mori people if he achieves a strong task; such as Myers having to stalk a lot of people with the correct add on. To show that Jason can kill people easily.

If you want to reaaaaly go out there for Jason, look at Jason Takes Manhattan. We have adult Jason and boy Jason. Maybe Jason (who by Jason Goes to Hell is essentually a 'meat ghost') could leave boy Jason behind as a husk and them roam around like the Killer named Spirit can. Instead of being a 'alt Trapper' Jason can be an 'alt Spirit.'

Or, for the 2009 film, you could just give him traps like the trapper.

Jason has had so many powers over the many films that the difficulty isn't finding a power for him; the difficulty is what to cut his powers back to so that he'd actually be fair. Jason is to horror what Super Man is to comics. He manifests whatever power each particular sequel needs him to have.

Or, in short, he's unkillable, can be wherever a Survivor is at will, has bare traps, has throwing knives (think Huntress) and can distract people with a husk of his young self left behind (like Spirit's husk.) All of which and more canon to the films.

He could even turn into a demon worm and posses people from Jason Goes to Hell if they really wanted to.

Again, M1 killer. There is nothing that Jason does that would lend to anything else for attacks. Sure, throw in a shadow step to another part of the map. He is still an M1 killer.

Does not change the fact that I think he would be much less enjoyable or creative than several other options.

  • I would like to see some form of supernatural killer. Something like an angry Quaker judge from the Salem witch trials.

A ghostly wraith that switches between what looks to be a man dressed as a Quaker judge walking around until he gets to chase mode. Then he is a scary looking ghostly version of himself and his lantern turns to a red glowing blade. Make him able to talk/make noise and he screams at the survivor about burning them for their witchcraft.

He could continue with talking for a few seconds after losing a survivor, so as you hide you can still hear him promising agony upon you.

That would be scarier than Pennywise. I'm not against him in the game, but can we have some fun with truly scary killers?

Edit. He gets the first hook mori. One appears as he hits "kill" and it is a special hook. He throws you on it and curses your existence as he lights you on fire. Then your burnt husk falls to the ground.

  • There should be an NPC mode for new players. Does not have to be fancy, but let's players get an idea of how the game works and gives them some best practices ideas.

It's called cheating actually. Using 3rd party programs to gain an advantage in the game. Worse are the players who edit the game textures and other graphical settings to make everything look simple, so everything sticks out like a sore thumb.

Considering there are no colorblind filters in the game, Nvidia is the only option for some.

I never said you were stupid. I said you lacked creativity due to assuming someone else's capability of creating something. You call Hag an M1 killer yet she's one of my favorites and super fun to play. I suppose if Jason was in the same boat, that doesn't necessarily mean he'll be boring. In fact, of that list, I think Clown, and Pig are super fun to play too. My boyfriend personally loves to play Trapper as well. "M1" killers can be fun, they can be creative, and I'm sure most people could care less of the power if it means they get to play as Jason Voorhees.

Wait, ######### said M1 was not fun to play? I main Trapper with a side of Doc and Pig. I cheat on them with Hag. This is not about M1 not being fun. It is about Jason not being a good addition to the game, imo. He would most likely be M1, and I'd like to see something more imaginative than him in the game. See the list above.

Obviously you haven't seen all the movies, because you are not aware that Jason had super powers. Ever since he became Zombie Jason he started getting all sorts of weird powers. There was a time he could even hypnotize and possess people to eat his flesh, then jump from body to body.

So no, he is not just "keeps coming and swinging a machete."

Don't act like you know the movies when you clearly don't.

I have seen those. Do you really think a hypnotizing power will work in DbD? And those were probably worse than the Leprechaun movies. Img were those bad. I'm only referring to powers that he has that would translate to DbD. Jason's true power is being unkillable. We don't see that in DbD. He'd be an M1 killer and any stretch of the imagination would be reaching too far. I think there are much better options that are not licensed

    Vampire

    Wendigo

    Werewolf

Zombie-like Quaker judge from the Salem Witch trials

    Wicker man

    Slender Man

Or pull from non movie licenses like resident evil, silent hill, etc

In reality, Jason is less a creative option than most ideas I've seen on this forum and reddit. Then again, what do I know about creativity, right? LoL

I have by myself never take those "rules" from survivors or killers serious. What is allowed and what not, is shown via the game mechanics as long, as nobody exploits them.

But, there is no horrible design.

One guy dislikes a mechanic, the other likes it.

When I play my ms-warrior in wow as example, I could everytime bite in my keyboard when I have to deal with a frostmage (because feeled 3 million ccs's) or the most healing classes (because there heal is usually strong enough to survive 1 dd that nibbles on them). Still I'm ok with it.

Because there are other classes, where I have my chance and I see those guys not in every match (besides that frostmages are still possible, they are just annoyance as f.).

Back to dbd, a lot of people have like and some even love the old Legion. I had even make extra screenshots from endgame chats with happy survivors, because I had already know before that I will exactly run in your argument, sooner - or later.

On the other hand, there are a lot of people that have dislike, or even hate the Legion, but I tell you something... Exactly that shows a good design.

    It needs to be edgy!

Every killer in dbd and every game mechanic has its lovers and haters. Did you think that I as a killer have enjoy all those speed% + perks? I wouldn't mind if they would go... But I think, that the most survivors have there might a different viewpoint and would say no and that's ok :).

It's in the game, so its something I have to deal with, as long as I play the game.

Besides that, how would you hold people now in the game, that have only join dbd because of a killer like the Legion?

Yeah, I know, they were all noobs and all of them were just bad person's - I know the opinion of some survivors here in those forums "blah, blah, blah, Legion this, Legion that" - but those people were also customers that have buy this dlc and god knows how many cosmetics - aka. they were part of a group who have give the devs money and as a companie, you should like money (because there is never enough).

So tl:dr, what would you offer those guys now?

There is nothing left! The Legion was not like the m1 killers, where it would be ok if 1 goes away, since there exist a ton of them in the game. The Legion was unique and as a consequence of that, has dbd nothing to offer anymore to those players and that means a part of their income breakes away and they will get a lot of negativity. Either here in the forums, or on other platforms, or in talks in real life.

This situation should never had happened and she should be solved as fast as possible, or it will go on and on and on and... I bet you know already what I will say now... on.

The overwhelming majority disagreed with you on original Legion. Even heavily killer biased streamers like Tyde had issues with Legion. He was a bad design and implantation. I still think he is lackluster and would love to see his name match his power. Something along the lines of being able to switch between members during the match and each having a slightly different set of strengths.

Either way, our discussion is pretty much at a wall. You love Legion as he was, and almost everyone who did not use him hated him. The end.

There's plenty they can do. They gave Jason awesome abilities in F13: The Game. The developers could easily come up with something exciting and fun. Your own lack of creativity should not reflect others ability to create something unique.

Not sure how this turned into personal attacks, but you should learn to have discussions without them or refrain from having them until you mature some. That said, I played that game and though he had some interesting abilities he still was pretty straight forward.

M1 killers have interesting abilities as well, but are still M1 killers. Trapper, Wraith, Hag, Pig, Clown, etc. Jason's character concept lends to him being more in line with Trapper (who is boot-leg Jason) than with Billy or even Michael.

If you insist on more personal attacks, I'll be happy to ignore your future posts. Just because we disagree does not mean one of us is somehow stupid.

Lol that makes no sense. You'd have no idea how Jason's powers would work. Your comment is straight up ignorant.

Seriously, what are they going to give Jason beyond a machete?! Have you watched the 13 plus movies? I have seen them all. No super power here, just keeps coming and swings a machete. M1 all the way. The ignorance is in not understanding the source material.

Sry Warlock, but I need to say:

A killer can't be toxic. What can be toxic are the killer ->players<- and yes there you are right. Some Legions were toxic. At least I have seen some in streams/videos and on the Legion patch day, I was by myself very toxic - at least according to the survivor rules book. Don't know how many survivors I had mori on this day - the first day I had ever use them -_-.

But what should I say to my defence? The circumstances of that day, the circumstances of that day...

Also I have the strong believe that it was not positive for the communitie, that dbd lost the Legion. The Legion was 1 of a few killers in dbd, that had a special playstyle and every killer (not just the Legion) that offers a special playstyle also attracts a specific type of player.

Those players don't stay at a game, if their reason to stay breakes away.

The only people that have profit from it, were the people that have dislike or hate the Legion, but some of them were so toxic that it was in my eyes a deal with the devil.

You can't be serious when you say a killer can't be toxic. Your quote about the survivor rule book is nothing more than a scapegoat. Anyone with common sense knows that either side can be toxic. Heck, survivors can throw that stupid rulebook crap right back at us. Toxic to loop, instant heals, brand new part, second chance meta, tea bag, the list of whining goes on and on from both sides.

Legion was a horrible design and was clearly in need of changes. Are the current changes good? Perhaps not, but old Legion was bad all the way around.

  • I sure hope not. Jason is boring. He would be a very straight forward, M1 killer. I'd rather run Trapper.

I doubt we will get Pennywise and to be honest I do not want him in the game. They need to rework the Clown to make him better and his power more interesting. That is all. There is no reason for having 2 Clowns in the game. I'd rather have them focusing on some original design.

Oh, I doubt it as well. Clown is sad at the moment. I like the concept, but he is a bum in the killer department. I'd disagree on Pennywise though. He would be creepy as all get out.

  • Well, how about the clown dies of his disease and we get Pennywise? I'd love to see him use a dash power where he is screaming while doing so, then takes a huge bite out of someone. He can be the first killer to attack with his mouth!

  • I'll be honest, when I'm chasing a group of survivors, I tend to take it easier on an Ace in that awesome leopard-print gold jacket. I just hate the idea of getting blood on it. Ace's will get the hatch more than anyone else with me. He's just too cool for school.

Eh I agree with your loss of interest, unfortunately the old legion wronged survivors and survivors hold the power in dbd.

Old Legion had no counterplay and was incredibly unfun to play against.

See my post here for what changes would be necessary to make the power fair to play against: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/684976/#Comment_684976

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/686488#Comment_686488

I get that some Legion players legit enjoyed the old version and played it straight up without exploits.

Old Legion with Bloodhound and/or Predator and/or Stridor still had no counterplay even if you did not abuse the Deep Wound timer mechanic.

The survivor side is already tedious and consists of a lot of M1 holding. Legion, even now, makes that even worse. You hold M1 even more.

That's more a problem with the game design in general than with Legion. Generators have always been a boring objective.

Add to it the fact that they are most often played as a massive tunneling killer and Legion is an absolute snoozefest on survivor side.

That's a horrible inefficient playstyle. The problem here is not Legion, but the awful and meaningless rank system.

I think there should be talk of a total rework of Legion's power and make it something fun, unique, and viable. That is where this conversation should move.

    • Current Legion is viable.
    • The original gameplay fantasy is still there. If you like old Legion but don't like current Legion then you don't actually like the Legion gameplay fantasy, you like playing something that has no counterplay.
    • Current Legion has a unique playstyle: The only killer that can quickly put pressure on multiple survivors at once..
    • "Let's completely rework an entire killer because I don't find them fun" is not viable feedback.

Old Freddy was unhealthy for the game and had to go completely. Current Legion gameplay is perfectly fine and there is no reason to rework the character again. Whatever power you think would be appropiate for current Legion would be better suited as its own thing on a new killer instead of completely scrapping the current power.

I don't think my full message came through. Old Legion was toxic and not good for the game. New Legion is boring for both the killer and the survivor. It does not matter if he is viable, I don't disagree there. What matters is that the power of the killer exemplifies the bland survivor play to begin with. Thus, a rework would be more beneficial all the way around. I think the character has plenty of upside, just needs a rework.

  • I get that some Legion players legit enjoyed the old version and played it straight up without exploits. That said, Legion has been poor design from the start. The survivor side is already tedious and consists of a lot of M1 holding. Legion, even now, makes that even worse. You hold M1 even more. Add to it the fact that they are most often played as a massive tunneling killer and Legion is an absolute snoozefest on survivor side.

Heck, I have always cringed when I get Legion dailies. Apply deep wounds 4 times, get 4 hooks for chili, and then run laps around the outside of the map. I find Legion to be silly easy to track and kill. At red ranks it changes drastically for Legion mains because you jump considerably in talent on the survivor side.

I think there should be talk of a total rework of Legion's power and make it something fun, unique, and viable. That is where this conversation should move.

To sum up, poor design, rework.

  • No. Agitation is already a powerful perk, especially when combined with other perks. No need for a buff. There are perks that need buffs, but agitation is not one of them.

  • My luck sometimes. LOL

My brother had the same issue

Are you on PC by chance? If you have a Nvidia graphics card you have options.

I am, I do, and I've engaged the colorblind option o ly for anti cheat to detect it as a 3rd party software affecting the game and kick me out. I turned it off and no problem. Weird, considering others have had split results with it as well.

  • Had more of a horror feel before. Was murder on my colorblind killer play, but new engine is no better.

I don't think I've ever survived or 4k'd and not gotten a safety pip. Not saying it's not possible, just never experienced it. It definitely shouldn't happen.

Anytime you survive vs a face camping killer you risk a depip. Do the gens and leave means no altruism, no chase, very little boldness. I've even hung around and gone for the rescue and still depip on escape. Then there is the boosted killers who can't win a chase. Survived a couple matches with them recently and depip'd.

I can't recall a 4k depip though. I had 3 dc in the beginning of a match. Toyed around with the 4th, let them do a gen then I'd chase and hot them. Let them escape and come back. He got 2 gens done and then I hooked him. Still got a safety.

  • @FireHazard said:

I have to agree with Tru3, the concept of balance in this game is way off from a lot of other games.

Being pinned with solo survivors will more times than not end in your demise, and the only real way to stand a chance in a Trial is with a SWF. All on coms, all spacial awareness, etc. There is no real negative to being in a SWF, and this applies to the cream of the crop to even the worst SWFs.

I've stated before in other posts that SWFs has become less of an issue over-time, but that's due to me getting used to it and just overall getting better at the game as a Killer main. But I can agree, that despite it being less of an issue, it STILL IS an issue. If a SWF is playing for fun, an action debuff wouldn't be an issue for them.

But we all know why people play in SWFs, its either to stand a chance, or to be toxic. And 9 times out of 10 its to be toxic or to just be a tryhard, and the concept of SWFs is still odd to this day in regards to how it plays its role in a average Trial. In Red Ranks this especially shines through as most Survivors are always on a "no fun zone" basis. If you play Red Ranks regularly like I do, you know what i'm talking about. Its literally no fun, and all sweat. I've only rarely had games where Red Rankers actually played along with a meme or two while still playing the game, but most of the time its just serious play 24/7.

Any other game would consider this, but this one doesn't. And its never elaborate on why that is the case...

So let me get this straight. Playing solo is all but certain demise, but playing SWF is OP?

I've come to believe the true problem in this game is the players themselves. First of all, Tru3 is a hack. He is not even close to a top tier killer, neither am I. I see him get owned by a good team and complain, but other killers destroy the same team. That is where the problem lies. This game is made at a baseline in order to balance for the most players. Player skill can cause massive separation from there.

Yes, SWF with skilled players can own most killers, but they too can be owned by a good killer.

Balance is not an easy feature in a game like this. My beef usually comes in when a foreseeable problem is ignored (MoM) until there is outrage.

I notice that neither you or @Peanits have addressed the issue of actually being able to down and hook a different survivor, then still find the person and get DS’d because one minute is a long time. Once more I’ll ask, why not have it so it automatically deactivated after the killer hooks someone else? It would still be doing it’s job of being anti tunnel.

I play killer mostly myself. I can count on one hand how many times I've been hit with DS since the rework. It is fine as is. It was a nightmare before and much better now. If I'm facing any aspect of an SWF I assume DS, DH, and Adrenaline at minimum. If I down someone and question whether their DS is active, I'll either bait them or move on. It depends on the situation, the survivors' actions so far and how my current pressure is. If they jump in a locker, I'll eat the DS so they don't have it at end game.

Too much whining about a mechanic that is working as intended. There are multiple ways to kill survivors and DS is o ly hurting you if you limit yourself to a small set of playstyles.

  • There are some daft people here. You have a rep from the game telling you that locker ds is not a problem and perhaps you shouldn't be tunneling the person and you are arguing about it? In other words, ds is working as intended. Locker or no locker. Pressure the map and chase someone else and you won't have to worry about it.

  • I have long been concerned about the latency affect on killers dedicated servers would have. The game was designed for the killers to have the host status, thus giving them the upper hand in the latency department. Servers will change the game dramatically and will expose killers with bad connections or at a great distance.

It will affect survivors as well, but not to the same extent.

  • @DonnieTheZombie said:

Looks like two brainless killer mains got triggered somehow. I wasnt complaining about killers, or their addons in any way. I was moreso complaining about the toxic mindset, that actually ive seen quite a lot when killers use instant downs such as iridescent , or redhead fingers in this instant.

But if you can't read then i guess just post the first triggered sentance that comes to your mind, which is trying to insult survivor mentality which. I dont have because im a killer main. Lol

I get what you are saying. Unfortunately, the vocal group of killers and survivors on this forum don't tend to have the best reading comprehension skills. They are mere mouthpieces for the side they support and run off half cocked when triggered.

  • I can't remember the last time more than 1 survivor escaped. Really have not paid attention to it. Will have to start doing so.

  • Wendigo with a brutal mori where he lifts the survivor over his head, slams him on the ground over and over while you hear bones crunching. Then he tosses them to the side. Introduce a "witch" survivor that has been tracking Wendigo.

  • If this happens, the dead hook time needs to be lowered significantly. SWF sabo squads are the worst units around. They can own with minimal effort and good coordination. Lower the dead hook timer to 2 minutes and increase the engage animation and this could work. The animation is key due to 99 and break in front of the killer without fear scenario. Make it take a second longer to engage the hook and there will be some tactical decisions to make.

  • Just one for now.

    Wendigo.

Can use a form of traps to pounce on targets from above, or shadow step to different areas.

Mori is he picks up the survivor, shacking them in both hands above his head in victory before slamming them on the ground like a fish several times while letting out a primal shriek!

I am pretty sure they said dedicated servers are coming with the next Chapter.

Based on the current state of dedicated servers, I don't think they are ready. Horrible delay in mechanics on both sides.

Edit- I'm not sold on servers to begin with. This game was designed around killers hosting and servers really mess with the mechanics.

So basically you can hide in the basement with the key for the whole game. Then wait till everyone is dead. Find the hatch and escape. And is has no counterplay.

So, as a killer I get one guy hiding with his key and his perk while I get an easy 3v1 and I'm worried about counter play to the one guy? Based on your scenario I get 3 easy kills with a great gen protector score, but I get butthurt about the one guy with a key? Who care what that loser did. He gave me a great game. Survivors are the one who should be upset at your scenario, not killers.

I was under the impression that once it triggers, the survivor can just walk away and the effect will still be active.

No. From the way it is worded and how it was explained, the effect lasts up to 34 seconds or as long as a survivor is within 16m of the hook.

  • I know, but when you take into consideration the fact that the original range was arbitrary at best, the new range is not gimp. I'll be happy to run this as it is yet another way to slow the game down some and it isn't a totem. 24 meters is nothing to cry about.

It is 34 seconds whenever a survivor is near the hook, not when the Killer ism

I am aware of that. If a survivor wants to hang out by the hook for 34 seconds while the other is on the hook, I'm good with that. That is 2 survivors not doing gens and I'm likely chasing the 3rd. Slowing the game down for me.

  • Not that big of a nerf. 24 meters is still a significant area. As for camaraderie, it only affects campers. I don't camp, so I don't care.

I disagree. Dull/Skeleton Keys (as well as Ivory/Ebony Moris) are OP in my opinion.

So, I rarely play survivor because I find it dull and entirely dependent upon the killer as to whether the role is fun. If they camp or tunnel then it is a boring M1 match. I prefer to be in the driver seat.

So, I did play a little survivor this weekend and the first match was tombstone Meyers. He apparently stalked the crap out of a couple of survivors before coming upon me. He came around the corner and I make for the window (only escape route in that room of Lerys since he was in the door. As I hit the window, T3 goes off and I'm morid. SOB, ######### did the others do, dance for him? He had zero Los on me till he came around the corner. I've barely been in this match and I'm dead because someone (likely 2or more) were dumb enough to let him stalk them for a long time.

OP? Yes and no. He had to stalk a while to get the ability, but I suffered as a solo survivor due to stupid partners.

Keys are no different than that or the ebony mori match I ended up in 2 games later. The difference between ebony mori and a key is the ebony mori lasts all match and gets used 4 times. The key requires the deatch of 1 to 3 survivors or the gens all done. Much, much weaker.

So, if keys are OP then so is Tombstone Meyers and moris. I don't believe that is the case.

The rate at which OP items show up shouldn't really dictate whether it is problematic on a game-by-game basis. If there was a Beyond-Beyond-Ultra Rare Offering that instantly killed a Survivor when the match started or a Beyond-Beyond-Ultra Rare Offering that prevented the Killer from moving for a solid minute when the game started, neither of those would be balanced because they were super super rare offerings. In an individual game, those offerings would be absolutely insane.

Good thing keys are not so op then.

Someone else noticed how the cars next to the crane has a terrible collision box recently? I always get stucked there as killer and as survivor. It wasn't that way some updates ago.

I noticed this over the past week or so. Not sure if I've just missed it, forgot about it or never noticed it in the past. All I know is it was an absolute nightmare getting looped there recently.

  • There is way too many things these forums want gone. Soon the game will consist of survivors and killers just standing there complaining until one side gives up.

Keys are not that common. I've seen two keys used in the past two months. Ill8admit that the boxes tend to produce keys in swings. I had a week where someone found a key in a chest a dozen times. That said, Ebony Mori is much more common than keys. I have dozens that sit in my inventory for mori daily on Trapper. Keys are not as common in the BW in my experience. I would be interested in the actual stats as everyone's experience may vary.

To sum up, keys are fine. Moris as well.

Did you know that abusing AFKing is already punishable offence ? You probably don't since sound like you didn't know. Also killer que times become horrible by themselfs randomly since that's how DBD has been since 2016. Sometimes they kinda work, sometimes they don't. Punishing abuse of suiciding actually helps solo survivors since that's why I made this thread. Beacuse in almost 6 games in a row I got a random entiteled childish survivor who either didn't like the killer we faced or got downed early and just suicided. It ruins the fun from playing survivor so much more then it does for killer.

So now to the second part.

    1. I even stated that I don't really mind first hook stage, it's the struggle phase that needs serious rework. I wish people would actually read what I wrote and stopped making stuff up
    2. That's why I suggested to rework the struggle phase so you don't have an option to do anything = no pressing any buttom, no suiciding. Just hanging there for 1 minute.
    3. Same reasoning as 2.
    4. If killer really wants to 4k he just slugs and goes to close the hatch. Also did you hear about possible new feature coming called The Hush system ? If that gets implemented then even DCing won't be able to give last survivor the hatch so yet another way to deny this "strategy".
    5. If the killer camps it's even more important to not let go since if you do, you encourage killer to camp even more since you make him think that "it works". I think that hanging there for one little minute isn't that much of a sacrafice especially to prevent abuse of this "feature" to ruin matches like DCing does in early minutes of the match out of spite from facing something you don't like.

Yes, I am aware, but you don't seem to fully understand the policy. Going into a match and just going afk can be punished, but a short afk in the middle of a match where you actually participate, but then go afk for a few minutes, is not punishable.

Bottom line is the devs have mentioned before that there is no concern about suicide on hook, so it will not, and should not, be punished. Furthermore, it is not out of control and does not need addressing, especially when compared to bigger issues.

And yes, I know what the hush system is, but last I heard it was barely at conceptualizing, nowhere near being put into game. Not sure they will keep it if they did put it in game. There is too many ways to exploit such a system.

Main difference here is that if killer does these things he's throwing the game against competent survivors and will lose if survivors react appropriately, maybe not even getting that 1 kill he wants so much.

While if the survivor suicides he's ruining the match for his teammates and killer alike if they want fair match and there is nothing that can be done about it. You can counter camping/tuneling in at least small way. What you can't counter are stupid teammates who are childish and can't handle facing viable killer, getting downed early or some other dumb reason why they would suicide within first few minutes.

I can't do anything as survivor if my teamates decides to do "legit disconnect" by suiciding since he's not feeling like playing. Why even start the match if aren't even willing to play it out. I find this to be loopholing of the DC issue and it should be threated the same since it ruins the match in the same way.

So, let's say you punish suicides, which virtually impossible (see below). What's next? Survivors who either want out or don't feel like feeding points to a tunneling/camping killer, or realize their team is doing nothing will just go afk. Now we punish afk? Eventually you will be screaming over killer que times because many of the solo survivors will be playing other games or killer.

Why is it impossible to punish suicides?

    1. Kobe off the hook is a real thing. Every survivor has the right to try

    2. Lag, lack of attention, outside influence can all cause you to not jam your struggle button fast enough to avoid death.

    3. My wife avoided struggle phases one night because her carpal tunnel was acting up and her brace made it physically irritating to struggle. (Physical disabilities can play into it)

    4. It is a strategy. If the killer hooks a survivor and the survivor sees the last one is near the hatch on the other side of the map, it may make sense to suicide to give the hatch. Killer might not like it, but too bad.

    5. Furthermore, survivor may see the others are all hiding around the map doing nothing while the killer is camping. Why should the hooked survivor be forced to hang around? Nobody doing gens, nobody coming for rescue, and killer is camping. Try for Kobe and let it go, next match pls.
