I played with 2 perks really. Dying Light and BBQ. I have a heavy addiction to shadowborn and it has literally affected me mentally when I play killer.
Lmao I have been avoiding shadowborn for that exact reason.

I'm not entirely sure, but until I stop having back to back games against rank 1's at rank 8 then It obviously isn't.
Did I have to explicitly acknowledge the fact I agree with you? I am doing so now, so would you like to give me a more thoughtful answer?

Responding to the dudes discussion with a dismissive statement - yeah that isn't rude at all. It's exactly how we should treat people. You we're 100% being friendly and contributing to a discussion.
I was telling him goobye (aka being polite). I was also inviting him to come back in a week because I'd love to hear more of his opinions. I understand why you would jump to conclusions though.

I couldn't agree with you more! Even though I ran Dying Light as well. If Ruin was cleansed within 10 seconds of the match, I had to play like a ######### and slug so I could build pressure. If I got maybe 1 or 2 hook while ruin was up, I was completely fine with ruin being gone
Yes if you play with only 3 perks you have to try hard to win.

Because dcs, hook suicides, a poor ranking system..all feed off each other..1 DC or hook suicide can trash the entire match alone..therefore one bad number becomes four..noed and ruin boosted the stats also because they can single handedly turn games as they are the only 2 viable hexes..all 4 escaping or 1 dying can turn to a 3k with over altruism..now the inflation starts getting massive...combo that with how often I win as a solo survivor and it all starts to come together..in two years that's my conclusion..now ruin alone will be removed from the inflation..we will see just how bad it gets with that by itself
That's still not enough for over 33%. I can't wait for the reaction when killers still come out on top after Ruin changes.
-
I can't play solo or killer for too long. Swf just feels more chill because you need not win, you just need to enjoy the game.

@NullEXE said:
Within 8 ranks is basically what you're looking at for the current matchmaking system. In addition the matchmaking goes off the highest player in a SWF, so what I am guessing is that is 2 swf's, both with a rank 8 and 7 respectively.
Didn't it used to be within 6? 8 is over 1/3 of the entire system.

They depipped those killers... by the old standard, which was kills = pips. As in, a 1-kill match for 85%+ of those killers that barely lasted for two chases. They were playing optimally like the situation I mentioned in the Hex: Ruin thread.
If survivors play optimally (genrush separate gens the instant the trial begins, with 1 person wasting the killer's time in a chase), the game is 100% survivor-sided. Killers only have a chance in a match if the survivors hand it to them on a silver platter, by playing suboptimally.
I'm of the opinion that the game should be balanced around optimal playstyles/how the best players play, since the limit of what they can do essentially represents what everyone else can or can't do, at their peak. As the most optimal killers against the most optimal survivors results in a near-guaranteed victory for said survivors, I would call the game survivor-sided. Win/loss rates nonwithstanding, balance is when the potential of both sides balance out to give each side a chance at victory. When the potential of one side so thoroughly invalidates any effort/skill of the other, anyone would be hard-pressed to call it a 'balanced' or 'fair' situation.
You can't tell if a killer is playing optimally from the survivors' screens.

Not to rain on your parade or anything, but CI isn't the perk your looking for as a replacement for Ruin in TrU3Ta1ent's Anti Heal/Slow Down Build. Just due to how CI functions it has early game and late game applications, but Wraith can't get the benefits of it from that build. You'll be able to use the early application no issues though unless you can get about 3 hooks or someone on death hook or dead before CI is deactivated it wont function the way you need it.
Ruin also runs out late game. CI functions just the same.

Player error isn't what I refer to as that's normal in any game..however..certain aspects outside the game are so common compared to other games it results in some very flawed data..with the sheer number of number boosting factors..the real stats would be mortifying
The stats couldn't be inflated by more than 10%. Even that assumes 1/6 games go from a 4e to a 4k because of survivor's choices. And this isn't possible since dcs aren't included and probably over 50% of these scenarios are caused by dcs. So you would have to assume over 33% of games are completely forfeited by survivors and that is the lowest possible estimate. It doesn't add up to me, how does it for you?

I don't think attacking means what you think it means. I haven't vilified or chastised you in the least. I merely said I've seen you do this before, and that I refuse to engage any further based on your history of saying things without logical basis just to start an argument. This is not an attack. Please don't accuse me of things I haven't done. Thanks.
I have two pieces of logic on my side. Two pieces that can be observed by the majority of the player base. Killers saying they are quitting/taking a hiatus, and red ranks being put with yellow rank killers.
All you're saying is "No, its not true cause i get red rank killers". Which is weak as a point of argument.
I doubt the usual couple of immature people on the forums is the majority of the killer player base. Red ranks being put with yellow/green ranks doesn't directly equate to less red rank killers. Listen to what all people have to say, because every opinion is valuable even if it's misinformed. You never know, maybe you can convince someone to switch sides on a topic.

Look into Marth88's depip squad experiment. 4 perkless SWF survivors depipped almost 70 killers in a row, and over 90 of the hundred games they played, at high ranks exclusively. IIRC, the first killer that actually pipped against them was a god-tier Huntress player with top-tier add-ons, and that was killer 60-something.
Oh yeah pipping system bad. I guess the game is survivor sided in that aspect. Thanks

And you base this on...? You've admitted in previous threads you haven't been to red rank as killer. So how would you know? I notice you tend to interject a lot of one-liner things like these and never back them up. So back them up, bud.
I base my claims on the fact that red rank killers actually aren't playing and are quitting/taking breaks, as well as the fact that red rank survivors are being matched with yellow and green rank killers. What do you have as a base? Go ahead. I'll wait.
Any time now. I'm not falling for your one-liner baits like others do. o/ <3
Lmao. Do you really think I'm just spouting nonsense? I'm a consistent rank 1 survivor and I face red rank killers just over 50% of the time. If they all left why am I facing them?

You should try surviellance instead of Thana at least once, easier to track injured survivors working on gens. 😉
Thana is for synergy with Nurse's. It's easier to find survivors on gens if they take longer.

Pro vengeance is an underrated god. Stalkless M1 ghostface will beat noobs, sure, but what killer build doesn't?
I have watched almost every major streamer who exists, and there is nobody I have seen who plays better.
Ok thanks
-
Patrol weaker parts of a map first to drain resources there and draw other survivors there by hooking them. Letting survivors spread out and utilize all of their resources is what they want you to do. In situations where god loop is always available you just have to power through. For these reasons I think Agitation is very underrated.

If ruin could give weak killers a chance, imagine what it could do for strong killers. Once ruin is gone kill rates will be more accurate.

You've posted this unfounded, silly jargon in another thread now, word for word. So I'll post this here again, because there's more evidence to back my version of it up than yours:
Uhhh..no? It's actually more like red rank killers not existing on the scale that they used to. Cause they aren't playing. Rank, especially on the survivor side, is NOT an indication of skill. It's basically a participation trophy for how easy it is to pip as a survivor.
Besides - if you've ever been to red ranks as killer (and judging by your post you have a long way to go before you get there and understand), especially lately, you'd know there's so many potato survivors at red rank because of how rank reset works now that deranking to face potato survivors is ridiculous.
Red rank players still exist as much as they used to, at least for killer side.

Stalkless ghostface is pointless. Wraith does the same job but better. Stalking as ghostface is optimal, assuming you are well familiar with the maps and good stalk angles.
Agreed. Stalkless Ghostface is a noob strat and after a while of trying it I learned that stalking as Ghostface is pretty easy and very rewarding. Is tru3 using stalkless Ghostface?

These games can be seen quite regularly on twitch with many of the popular streamers for killer.
"People only say optimal swf beats optimal killer because optimal killer is much rarer due to how hard it is to pull off."
It looks like this to you because for most killers they have to capitalize off survivor mistakes. If the survivors aren't making mistakes then they "look" bad. Very few killers on the roster can make plays happen without it being from a survivor mistake. This is skewing your perception of an "optimal killer".
Yes I'm sure people play killer perfectly regularly. I'll check it out thanks again for helping.

He'll stop being meta once all the Tru3Ta1ent fanboys see the streamer in question discover a new "top-tier" build, or when people realize that Spine Chill hard-counters it—one of the two primary factors in actually causing the Perk's power creep.
I doubt all GF players play him because of Tru3. I main GF myself and absolutely do not watch Tru3. His behavior is very unhealthy for the community imo and Otz is much more helpful.

@Demogordon_Ramsay said:

1) Once Tru3face stops being meta, the most likely stealth Killer people are going to play is Wraith, and even if he sneaks up on you, the need to uncloak gives you ample time to get to a window or pallet, meaning that the pre-emptive warning Spine Chill gives you is less than top-tier in its usefulness.
2) If the Killer has a TR, you don't need Spine Chill to tell you if the Killer is coming or not. You can easily tell by the loudness of the Terror Radius and whether or not it's getting louder or quieter. Sure, it might make you a little bit more cautious and encourage you to hide over doing gens when you don't need to, but if that's the case the Killer already isn't coming for you anyway and soon you'll be able to tell by the TR that it's safe to come out.
3) You shouldn't be relying on a Perk to guide your positioning anyway; you should be using your wits.
I'm only using Spine Chill right now because Tru3face is one of the two stealth Killers in this entire game who are actually good at ambushing when played properly (the other being Pig). Once people stop using that meta, the only thing Spine Chill will be good for is the Spinechillience combo—which is great, don't get me wrong, but its counter-intuitive to my personal preference to be healed rather than injured.
How will GF stop being meta? He's pretty balanced so has no nerfs incoming and I doubt there will be a killer or survivor perk that punishes the killer for not having a TR.

What makes those killers "non-optimal" to you?
You're gonna argue the game is killer sided against bad survivors? No one disagrees with that.
What people are talking about is at red ranks where they are much more optimal and the sweaty full SWF groups are quite common.
Balance is comparing strength with the best against the best, not looking at the balance of bad players against bad players.
Yes but where are the optimal killers? E.g. a killer that always knows which pallets are safe, where dead zones are, what all the survivors are currently doing. I want to see them getting crushed by an optimal swf no matter how well they play. Both sides need play to as near to perfection as possible, I might even have to discredit an entire trial if the killer misses the hit a single time or fails to get the hit at an unsafe loop or takes the blatantly wrong path. People only say optimal swf beats optimal killer because optimal killer is much rarer due to how hard it is to pull off. Of course an optimal swf will beat some casuals or someone who makes a silly mistake. I would like you to prove me wrong, to help me realize optimal swf has over 75% winrate over optimal killer. That's being generous. You probably need only link 40 games straight as optimal killer, to make it easy for you. They must be back to back games and not cut together. Good luck!

Not really as those nearly never happen..meanwhile the ones I stated happen in the vast majority of games as proven by pretty much every DVD stream and video never made
Almost all killers make silly mistakes, I myself as killer can't help but make a mistake each trial. Be it forgetting to look for bbq auras, or not following scratch marks correctly, or pathing a chase wrong. Playing perfectly takes mastery.

Read my post to immortalls. The statistics shown are a joke at best. They in no way show flawless evidence, and I wouldn't be surprised if the devs inflated numbers or fudged them in some way because these devs are more biased than any company I've ever, ever, ever, seen.
Recognize the double standard.
They didn't fudge their previous stats that showed the game was broken. Nice try my guy. This is raw data, as flawed as it may be you have to at least shake a stick at it.

Of course they aren't going to win 100 in a row, but they will definitely win at a much higher percentage. That is what most people are talking about when they say that the game is survivor sided.
I believe that the low ranks are killer sided, high ranks are survivor sided. That is why it is hard for BHVR to balance the game. And then you throw swf/solo in the mix and it is nearly impossible.
Okay I'll accept a 75% win rate with less than 75% of the maps played on being survivor sided.
-
@EntityDrudge said:
How are you literally gonna say "most" maps are survivor sided, and "most" killers are weak, and proceed to say killer is nit the weaker side? My god
Maps and killers are outside of the survivors' influence. It's an rng fest where killer has a less likely chance of lucking out, but if they play a high mobility killer then they almost always luck out.

You could also say the stats are heavily deflated by killers afking, giving hatch, or just making silly mistakes.
