  • Tru3 is often wrong/delusional about a lot of things. People actually used his reference video of him facing off against Oracle as justification for it being 'survivor sided'. When you actually watch the video, you realize he gives up chases left/right, he avoids going for someone just because they sprint bursted off in his face. When confronted, he retorts sarcastically 'yea im sure you could have done better, mate'.

He makes a ton of mistakes in public matches and he gives certain people too much respect 'just because theyre one of the best in the world'.

I wouldn't hold Tru3's opinion highly, and I like the dude.

Also; he edits his videos and includes segments where it proves HIS point but not the other side's. He's done this numerous times. Which is why a lot of other streamers don't think highly of him. Its pretty disingenuous.

  • Rely on it..ehhh. But if I had to pick one, it'd be Adrenaline.

Flashlight clicking and tbagging is toxic. They're purposefully trying to annoy the killer and make them mad, because everybody knows that's what those motions are used for.

If you try to excuse this behavior and say, "It's just to get your attention." there's better ways of doing that, without being toxic. Run near the killer, body block for someone, make a noise while they're not in chase. Just use your brain instead of acting like these toxic things are the only way to get the killer's attention.

Nah that's just your mentality. And on top of it, you're trying to tell people what to do instead so you don't get your feelings hurt. Play the game out, ignore the 'toxicity' as you put it and move on. Been plenty of times I've seen teammates teabag or even teabag me as killer at EG and then we get to end-game chat and they end up commending the killer and being good sports. Don't take everything so personally, dear god.

  • I also dont see it as toxic but ya know, completely over sensitive people like to try cancel culture/making problems out of nothing in these recent years. Can you imagine if Tropic Thunder came out this year and Robert Downey Jr was playing a black guy?

Survivors spam crouch even on each other, its a form of saying hello or saying thank you for the heal/save. But so many people decided to read into it as something negative when it isn't. If you have a problem with this type of stuff, its your mentality thats the problem. Not anyone else's IMO.

  • Step on a lego and feel real pain.

  • Thanks for making a fresh account and letting us know about your very important departure. Hope you fly & land safely.

In my experience megs are not that great at loops. Most Claudette's i run into give the business. I literally can't chase them early game. I seek out the weaker links. Not all megs are meg-heads but most of the megs I run into are very inept.

I guess its server/region based. The claudettes I play with at red ranks are awful for the most part. Low altruism, barely on gens, and they are horrible in chases. Again, most part. Not all. Most megs I play with are the ones who give killer the business. Again, not all. But most. & yea I guess thats true for every character, but in NA East, Claudettes are a curse on your team in majority of the matches. I mean there's no coincidence that 1 of the biggest survivor memes is Claudette hiding and playing super immersive, afraid to do anything risky. That didn't start out of nowhere lol.

  • If were talking right now, its got to be Wraith. He's got great addons and he's actually pretty strong now when used properly. Love the hit and run style he brings + just being able to cloak and get to a loop to cut a survivor is satisfying.

As for survivor, my home girl Meg will always be my #1. I like her animation, she doesn't scream very loudly or have any irritating voice effects. She brings 3 amazing perks to the table right off the bat and Megs are just traditionally known as the ones who are good at loops/chases. Couldn't say the same about Claudettes.

Basically this. You can have a damn angel halo over your head and I will still chase, catch and hook you to death. No mercy and no consideration for anyone.

  • Sorry you had to deal with that. Salty ass survivors, lol (I main survivor in solo que and I've never gotten to this point).

If the auto ban system does make it to live, I'll laugh so hard. Whoever thought this was a good idea and 'OK'd it' needs to be fired ASAP. Holy hell.

Your Action speeds in Repairing, Healing, Sabotaging, Unhooking, Vaulting, Cleansing, Opening, and Unlocking are increased by 2/4/6%

i find that 6% is alot...... and def. to much

    • Skill Check
    • Trigger odds are increased by 10 %.
    • Skill Check Success zones are reduced by 10 %.

10% ? is to less... for newer players ok...for exp one to less

Whenever the Killer is looking in your direction when within 36 metres of you, Spine Chill activates...ok but

36 m ???? to much too, why ?... it´s not only that spinechill get activate with his functions...no it´s an big information for the current survivor that the killer is incomming too. Also it´s much more easier if you play with an swf ( sfw = voice = more information. With Spinechill = much more information ) wich is bad for the killer, specially if you want to play a stealty tactic, with some perks, offerings or killer´s ( example Ghostface ) and stuff like this. I mean we have alot of killer´s with 24m terrorradius, or some slower ones ect.

If you ask me....This Perk is good for newer players but not for the most of us, the experience ones.

Also the biggest problem is that this Perk destroying all the scare effects and jumpscares wich is bad for dbd, cause it´s an horrorgame. But that´s only my opinion. Any other opinions ? Let´s discuss

Nah, SC is fine. People just exaggerate and hop on bandwagons too much.

  • Like someone already said, BHVR losing money. More people deciding to not buy into this cash grab versus if you just kept them unlinked and let me mix/match.

If its not on BHVR, understandable. But this seems like something BHVR would do 200%.

  • Yes its broken. A lot of people are stuck in rank 4/3. I've also recently finished a game and it said I got +28 pips despite only getting +1 pip really. My rank didn't change yesterday but I logged on today and suddenly was in rank 3.

  • Yea the pickrate has gone down. Today, I've only played 4 matches but one of them was against a Nemesis w/ Ruin. Compared to yesterday where I was getting Neme in every game or so. Seems people are trying to farm BP with other killers to hopefully get some decent builds for Neme.

  • I don't even blame the killers most of the time. Most of the time I don't make it out, its because of my teammates.

Most solo quers at purple/red ranks I've played with recently:

    1. don't do gens and want to get into a chase with the killer constantly
    2. don't do gens and just want to farm altruism/wait around to hook save
    3. don't do totems
    4. make the stupidest decisions that just make you want to facepalm your keyboard
    5. don't last long in chases, don't do gens or totems, instead spends most of the match running around the map/hiding <-- MVP
  • I suggest putting video games down and picking up another hobby if they are legit making you cry. That aint healthy.

As for the bully squads, there's people like that in every player v player game. Just like in life, not everyone's nice.

  • @BenihimeWrath said:

I'm just trying to chill as ghostface and farm a stupid amount of BP to get the build I want on nemesis. (Already 1m bp dry on any good perks.) I'm literally only running BBQ, y u no farm?

Because that's boring as hell and I want actual matches. I'm not queing up to 'farm BP' with the killer. I'm queing up cause I want to play the game. Also, I don't trust you (the killer) to not turn around at the end and slap me.

  • G r e e d y

    BHVR. Tsk tsk.

  • IMO, if you find him OP, you just aren't a good runner (or you haven't practiced versus him a lot). And from what I've seen in the 3 hours of matches (all of them being vs Nemesis), this tends to be the case. People just don't know how to deal with him.

I played a ton of PTR even when most people went back to live. And although I have died to him, he is def not OP. Just today I've ran numerous Nemesis's for 3+ minutes and even 1 streamer playing him commended me for it.

At least red ranks messing with killer allowing you do gens. I stuck on low ranks currenlty because I took a long break from survivor side. This morons here just waiting in corners for everyone get killed. They absolutely missing the point how to win together.

I'm not good at looping but I can distract weak killer to get enough time for gens to my teammates. But it doesn't matter, because they just too scared to do something. I glad they treat dbd as horror game but it doesn't help them get better.

That is frustrating as well. I remember the low rank survivors. Thats a different issue though, as they'll learn as time goes by and get more confident in their playstyle.

But THIS is happening at red ranks where survivors have played a decent amount to get to and should know what to do, read situations quickly, etc. Its absolutely disheartening to know I have do 3-4 gens for a 4 person team when I'd rather be running the killer as well, but I'm more focused on getting my team out and being a productive teammate.

Really can't wait till the SBMM comes out officially.

  • @Dwight_Fairfield said:

I feel your pain. I did a couple of solo matches earlier. Both matches my team mates had a severe allergy to doing gens. I had to stop and switch to killer. A Dweet can only take so much.

Yea man. I decided to give it 1 more go. Hawkin's Laboratory. Trapper. Did 3 gens myself, 1 with 2 other survivors at the beginning. We all died again. Seriously, this is red ranks? These are red/purple rank teammates?

Well me being hopeful didn't change anything. I'm going to sit back and do minimal work and rely on 3 other teammates while I focus on running the killer, doing bones and saving mates.

    Cheers.

  • I was thinkin this as well. The amount of people that will be using Lethal Pursuer will be high, at least I think so at the very beginning of the release.

  • @MadLordJack said:

Because this game really isn't fun when it's played competitively, which is essentially what relatively high MMR is, and they're scared because the Devs won't change how the game works so that that isn't a thing.

Maybe its not fun for you. I happen to enjoy it and a lot of other people do too.

  • The only bright side I can bring up is that I'm glad I'm not the only one and lots of people are experiencing these things. Performance is def getting worse. And I have a 1080 TI just like Scott. Should not have problems with this when I can run a lot of other games with 120+ FPS easy.

Hopefully they do something about this. But wouldn't be surprised if they don't.

  • Gotta say Stranger Things as well (and I don't even touch those characters).

in best dlc Comment by Volcz
  • Probably Jill. Think she has the better perks out of the 2 and I was having a lot of fun with Blast Mine on the PTR.

Don't think I'll even tough Nemesis.

  • Mine was Hag followed by Doc. Loved playing those 2.

  • Combined with Jill's Resurgence, I'd say Self Care is going to come into play more now than ever before in red ranks. Same with totem/locker builds.

By itself, yes I think its incredibly weak and a time waste. You're going to be seeing some self care/locker builds after the chapter release so I'd just say, get used to it cause Self Care players aren't going to stop anytime soon lol.

  • I only solo que as survivor in red ranks and honestly man, there's good games and bad games. Its really frustrating when you have bad teammates but its also extremely satisfying when you play with a team that just comes together, is well coordinated and everyone helps each other & gets out.

I personally prefer solo to SWF just because its more difficult and the game was never built around SWF in the first place.

  • Ehhh, I don't really agree with a few placements here - mainly Oni, Trickster, Plague and Clown.

    But to each their own.

  • @dtavares7 said:

    She's so annoying to play

The entire time you're just getting looped, and your traps are being set off multiples at a time so you waste time laying traps

Not to mention when you do teleport to a trap, you're basically slowed to 1m/s for like a second and the survivor usually gets enough distance to get away anyway, unless you press the teleport button literally right as the trap is triggered

She's just so frustrating to play mechanically and not fun

I'd recommend running Agitation so you have faster hooks and can TP to traps as soon as possible. I used to have traps trigger while carrying someone and miss out on some easy hits.

Her defensive playstyle and setup is really fun, especially when it comes to a hex build and making sure they don't get destroyed.

She can stop pallet loops pretty easily, she makes survivors play differently.

  • Works, thanks!

  • I recently had a match in Fractured Cowshed against Bubba with the basement being in the shed. Teammate got hooked near. Was taken to basement and hooked. Next person goes to save, goes down in basement. Both of them get hooked.Third guy manages to unhook fast enough but goes down in the process, the other dude makes it up the stairs before being downed as well. Both are put on hook.

Me? I'm chillin in killer shack doing the 2nd gen on the other side of the map. Saw everything go down because of Kindred, lol. I almost let it get to me but it was sort of funny watching that situation go down. I didn't make it out and I figured the 3 were green/purple but nope they were red ranks. So it was more of a funny sad situation.

  • Best way to learn is to play a good variety of killers so you know their powers and playstyle. That in turn will help you out when you go against them as survivor.

But if we want to be specific -

    Survivor advice:

Always try to focus on doing something that benefits your team. Focus on generators and bones. Don't be afraid to play boldly, because hiding or playing scared gets you nowhere, you don't get points and you hurt your team drastically if even 1 teammate is crouch walking or hiding for majority of the match. Know when to go for saves. For instance, if you know the killer has hooked someone and is already chasing another teammate, take that time to go for an unhook and heal them if they don't run off on you. If they run off on you, you can either follow them or just ignore and move on. Sometimes its best to let them run off and you go back to your primary goal which was generators. The less time you give a killer in a match, the better. Downtime and running around needs to be minimized. Unless you're in a chase of course. But you'll get better with game sense the more you play as well. Avoid 3 genning yourselves. Don't work on all the generators on 1 side of the map. For example, if you do a gen in 1 corner of the map, go to the farthest opposite corner one, so that when/if you do manage to get to 1 gen remaining, you make it so the travel time between the gens is longer for the killer and the chases are delayed as long as possible.

A good perk to run if you want some help with unhooks/when to go for them, is Kindred. It is extremely powerful and will let you know what your teammates are doing when someone is hooked, if the killer is in the area/proxy camping. It will also let your teammates know who should go for the save when you are the one hooked.

    Killer:

Play what you like but remember to apply pressure across all 4 survivors. If you realize a chase is going on for too long, its okay to drop it and go to a gen you know is being worked on. If you injure someone and want to go pressure a gen/force the ones working on it off, that's okay. The person already injured has to take time to heal or be healed if they don't want to risk getting 1 hit downed. Bring some slow down perks if you can (Ruin, Oppression, Surge, Pop Goes the Weasel, etc). Force survivors into dropping very safe pallets like the one at killer shack.

Since you play Huntress mainly, I'm sure you already do this but just in case you aren't - Bait out pallets to drop and then throw a hatchet at the person. They will be delayed from moving in time because of the pallet throw down animation, you won't be stunned and you'll be able to hit them. Same applies to when you know someone is heading towards a window to vault through, unless they are running Lithe, you'll be able to hit them there as well with a hatchet.

Also try to focus on pressuring survivors into certain zones of a map that favor you. A lot of teams unknowingly (especially at low rank) 3 gen themselves, which means they get to 1 gen remaining but the 3 gens that can be worked on are relatively close and make it incredibly easy for the killer to swap between, which makes finding survivors easier and getting into chases faster.

  • I just ignore people like this and move on. I'm not here to play how you want.

I went against a sweaty team on Laboratory as Doc a while ago, they all brought items and 2 of them were flashlights. I made some dumb mistakes like not looking around for flashlight players when picking up someone and it cost me. But they were also playing very aggressive early so I changed how I played. I broke nearly ever pallet in the map since they didn't hesitate to drop them, and they'd rescue someone on hook almost immediately w/o waiting for me to leave the area, so patrolling gens became a secondary task since they didn't care about their safety and I wanted them to pay for that. They eventually powered the EG but I had 2 of them dead already and the 3rd got hooked just as the EG got opened. The 4th person saw me just sitting by the hook waiting, knowing she couldn't do anything to save the person. We just stared at each other from a distance. As soon as the 3rd person was 1% on hook, she escaped.

Proceeded to be called bad, a tunneler, camper, 'that strat' won't work in every match, insults, etc. Flexed on me for being blinded and outplayed with 360s (yea sure I missed a few swings but they still died) and I explained that they basically killed themselves because none of them focused on gens, they wanted to be flashy/aggressive, often times dive bombing knowing I'm still very close by. I never went for the person off the hook but the person who did the unhooking. They'd take protection hits for each other, try to body block me, blind me, make me swap targets in a chase, etc. Eventually I just said screw it - they don't see the match from my perspective so of course they're going to think I played scummy but I was enabled because of how they played so I don't get how that was on me. 2 of them were very angry and continued to call me bad, I decided to leave but right before I did, one of them said 'say hi to ######' which I assumed was reddit. I just laughed and moved on.

Aint ever going to convince survivors who are entitled as hell or not able to acknowledge your perspective, what happened and why. Just a waste of time.

How would you go about doing that?

I for one find killer absolutely amazing to play as. Growing up watching Halloween, Nightmare on Elm Street, Scream, and Texas Chainsaw Massacre made the characters in the game an absolute joy to get ahold of.

I always saw playing killer as just being the bad guy in my own horror film

People need incentives to play killer more. I've recently started playing a lot more killer, and although I just unlocked The Blight (who is really fun by the way! Slam slam slam HAIYAH), I think a lot more people feel better having teammates to play around than being on their own. Killer requires more thinking on the spot, dealing with mind games and all, pressuring survivors into a certain zone of the map, etc.

I'd say maybe offer bonus Bloodpoints but I don't even think that'd cut it, at least not in the long term. This game is SWF sided and people like playing with their friends, so although they might try killer out from time to time, they won't stick with it if there is no longterm benefit.

Also matchmaking is a joke right now, especially in the evenings/at night. Wait for SBMM cause that actually produced really fair matches (at least for me in red rank survivor).

I wish PC players would stop talking down upon the console players, just let people enjoy their games no matter what platform they play on.

I don't talk down to console players but I have noticed the difference in quality. I've had good matches with console players that made me go 'These were good players/teammates' but I've had far more bad ones where I get to the end-game lobby and I'm like 'ahhh, of course.' I'm not saying every console player is bad, but most of my experience with them is. So do I think they are worse? No, but I'm certainly not surprised if I get a bad match, all 3 teammates either get hooked, kill themselves on first hook, D/C, dive bomb, run killer around gens/hooked survivor, and then get to end-game lobby and see they're red/purple ranked consoles.

I've never gone out of my way to talk down to anyone on this game, but of course I have my own experiences that I base my opinion on. Again, I've been around good console players too. The bad just outweighs the good.

  • PC version isn't more toxic, but it can be toxic. Consoles from what I know, allow you to send messages to people even after the game has ended. PC version just lets people talk at the end-game match chat, but you can always turn that off if you don't care to see what people type.

Keyboard and mouse for both killer & survivor. You're on PC. Drop that controller right now. You don't need it and if anything, it hindered you more.

There's been bug fixes and some buffs/reworks thrown out to some killers, perks etc. Check the patch notes/PTB highlights.

Nope. Maybe with jflick exploit he is, but he's decent A

    Nah you're wrong. He's S.

  • Yes, too many times lol.

  • If it was a good game, I'll check them out and see their pov. If its a bad game and nothing special, I just move onto the next.

Like I just played against a Blight main who was live on TTV. on Crotus Asylum. I had a challenge to do - Destroy all 5 totems and escape. So I brought the pink map to help me out. He was running Undying + Dying Hope (surprised it wasn't Ruin). Well, it was a bad game for him cause I found Undying very fast, followed by DH which was the next totem over. I got 4 totems as he hooked the first person. The last totem came near the end of the game. We got the gens done but only 2 of us made it out, the Cheryl and I. Jeff was caught as we powered the gates and the Blight decided to proxy camp him as the gates were on 2 different ends, we were both full healed and he wanted a guaranteed kill. So Jeff ended up dying and we left.

I loaded up his stream afterwards and saw the Jeff player calling the Blight a b*t*h. He was killed with 14k points while Cheryl and I had 25/26.5k with the escape. I chatted a bit with the killer ttv player, we both said GGs, he explained how I was frustrating him cause I was the one who got all the totems and also ran him a bit at shack. Gave him a follow cause he seemed like a cool dude and watched the pov back. He def wasn't happy, lol.

I play red rank survivor and can say with 100% certainty that while red ranks are harder - it's not because every red rank killer tunnels/camps. They are harder because they have more time in the game and have learned how to shut down loops and mind game survivors.

But hey - have fun on your other account.

I mean its not just the quality of killer mains. I'd say its hardly that. Yea sure, there are great killers out there in red ranks. But I think a match can be swayed more by the quality of teammates you get (particularly talking about solo que since SWF is a joke to me). A lot of red rank survivors do not deserve their ranks, and when you see them dive bombing, running killer around a hooked teammate, refusing to do gens, it only makes you think they're green/purple at best and grey at worst.

  • If NOED says that, what does it say about the 4 survivors who can't cleanse bones or be bothered to? Going up to a totem and pressing M1 is very hard, right?

NOED may do a lot at end-game but its the survivor faults in the end that led to that. Its a high risk high reward type perk, and by risk, I mean if you actually get a good team of survivors who focus on every aspect of the match, you're likely not even going to have it at end-game. But if you do, you can get some easy kills with it.

  • Newsflash: Killers do it too.

    Surprise surprise.

  • I've only come across a few bad TTV players.

One disconnected after I got to a chest before he did, killer found him, downed him and hooked in basement. Killed himself on 1st hook.

Another time, ran into a TTV who legit dive bombed in red ranks and never took aggro, and if they did have aggro, they'd run killer to a teammate doing a gen in hopes of the killer changing targets.

But honestly, for the most part, they're fine.

I usually decide to check their stream out after the match just to hear their thought process and what they were saying/where I was at certain key moments, etc. That's always interesting.

A lot of them also play offline though, like mentioned.

  • Well to be fair, if you know its a camping Bubba in basement, you're not supposed to go for the save, as bad as that sounds..you're dooming your entire team if you do get caught (and you most likely will).

Had this happen to me a few days ago, and instead of going for the hooked teammate in the basement, the 3 of us hopped on gens and cranked them out and the guy on hook thankfully bought us as much time as possible.

Bubba got a 5.5k score at the end, lol. Punish them for that strat, don't play into it.

  • The blue orb/whatever its called.

Also like the fire flower/whatever its called.

  • They're used a lot at high rank/red. Its high risk high reward. Thats why they are hexes. The longer they are left up during a match, the more the survivors will be punished.

Yes, it sucks when they are cleansed early game.

Yes, its very rewarding if survivors can't find it/try to and its left up for 75% of the match.

RNG can be a real bi*ch sometimes.
