  • Doctor. Always enjoy playing him, even if the game goes horribly wrong. I really don't care about killing as much as I do messing with people. And he's got that laugh.

After him, it would be Legion second. Yeah, they're not great, but I like chasing people like a crazed maniac wit a knife. With just a bit faster frenzy and vault speed, they could be somewhat effective.

My third one is Hag, but honorable mention to Leatherface, who my constant dailies have driven him to one of my highest killers. I used to despise Hag, but she got buffed into a pure monster. I enjoy chasing people into minefields as her, and watching as they fall before me.

Why was Legion's story considered bad? I felt it was pretty good all things considering.

And yeaaahhh... The lore is pretty bad. I guess they assume that people will check out Stranger Things for the full story?

People say it is horribly unoriginal and cliche. Even though, in my opinion, it's actually one of the better lore we got.

  • Last year, during the holidays, I had consistent ping of over 1000 EVERY SINGLE GAME. I don't know why, but my internet was really bad then.

The same thing happened a few months ago too. That one I figured out though. Turns out updating Warframe takes A LOT of power.

  • Look at the name of the perk. Leader. You are supposed to be encouraging the others to work better.

  • Like SureSpear said, it's better than what Laurie and Michael got.

People were calling Legion's backstory bad... No. THIS is bad.

  • Lawsuits mainly. The game just died out due to lawsuits preventing updates (at least, that's how I understand it).

  • I hate to say this, being a Doctor main, but if you want actual effectiveness, go for Spirit.

Doctor takes a lot to get used to, and his ability does next to nothing to help him in a chase. He's okay at slowing the game down and excellent at tracking, but he's just not able to compete. And, again, I MAIN him. Always have and likely always will.

Spirit also takes a lot to get used to, but her power is actually useful. She is right below Nurse in terms of power when you get used to her. She's also a lot of fun too. Just don't expect easy games when you start out, as she takes a lot of practice.

  • PigNRun gave good advice, but another good thing to do is wait for rank reset and attempt them in the lower ranks. Adept requires you to double pip, and the higher your rank, the harder it will be to double pip.

  • Bill and Ash have gone against worse, so they will probably respond like they would with any other Killer. Both Davids would probably do the same.

The others would do exactly as you said they would.

  • Two thing, one much more serious than the other.

First, the American Justice/Legal System. I'm not going to go into detail why, just that my family has gone through so much pure hell due to it.

Second, just bumping into people I know randomly. I'm not a social person, so I try to avoid social situations. If it's a situation where I know people I know are required to be there, I have no problem, but if it's out of nowhere, I can't process it right.

  • I'll be unique. Léry's Memorial Institute. Don't know why I hate this map so much. At least the Game is decent with Doctor. Treatment Theatre is just... so annoying.

  • "The Entity is a nameless evil that lives in the space between our world and our imagination, the kind of place only revealed in dreams. To obtain its source of sustainment, The Entity reaches out into the hearts of susceptible victims and corrupts them into performing hideous acts of violence, because the only way for it to manifest itself in the real world is through an act of violence so extreme, that it results in fatalities."

This paragraph from the wiki kind of explains it. She can't hang around college campuses unless you have a horrific event occur there. Plague is really the only oddball in this case, as she didn't kill intentionally anyone and was just trying to save her people.

Also, given how she has the power to literally create pocket worlds, I don't think it would take much energy to perform necromancy.

  • How can I explain this in a way that makes sense. Each charge is worth a single second of progress. A single generator has about 80 charges, which is why you usually go through an entire brown toolbox to repair one. Similar to healing, you go through a single brown med-kit when you heal because healing takes 16 charges.

The charge system is there to tell you how long the item will last at base. Hope this explains enough.

  • The lore.

Trying to piece together the lore of such a complex mess is honestly really fun. I look forward to every chapter not because of the killers, or the survivors, or the perks, or the maps, or even changes to how things work. I look forward to them for the lore that these things add to this ever-growing game.

  • Did you know that in Michigan, it is illegal to tie your alligator to a fire hydrant? Nothing about owning one, you just can't tie one to a fire hydrant.

Another bizarre law here in the U.S. is in New York, where it is illegal to wear slippers in public after 10 pm. You also can't carry ice cream in your back pocket.

The final thing is it is illegal to kill Sasquatch in Skamania County in Washington. No joke.

Maybe. It's been so long since I've seen any horror movie that isn't Halloween.

Then you probably are then. Quentin is a unique character to the 2010 reboot of A Nightmare on Elm Street. He and Glen share many similarities, but there are quite a few differences too. He doesn't start out as Nancy (Holbrook)'s boyfriend, I believe he took a more active role in defeating Freddy, while Glen kind of just laid around and got killed, and Quentin survived with a few stabs to the neck region (I think, might be remembering that wrong). Outside of those though, you could literally switch them around and people probably wouldn't notice. Well, other than Glen being played by Johnny Depp.

Yeah, he did die. He was shot and bled out on the floor in the hallway (I think, it's been a long time for me too). You are right, resurrection did suck but I wouldn't consider the new Halloween as a sequel since it is a different timeline. For me it will be Halloween one, two and H20 that counts. Quentin definitely dies in the original. Don't think they were looking at remakes when they considered it.

About Quentin... Is it possible that you are thinking of Glen? Because he and Quentin are similar characters and Glen did die.

  • @Crazewtboy said:

So the way survivors end up in the trial is that they died alone right? So how do Nancy and Steve fit in to that? I've never watched the show, but I'm pretty sure the devs said they were both in season 3 which means they are still alive. So how exactly did they end up in the entity's world?

"He let it consume him, concentrating all his thoughts on wishing Freddy gone. His vision was obscured with roiling tendrils of fog and, when it cleared, he was somewhere else."

Behold a line from Quentin's backstory. He wanted Freddy to go away forever, and he kind of got that wish. It just came at the cost of him going with him.

Ash was in a similar situation. He tried making a deal with a demon and ended up messing up his words (as usual) and sent himself to the Entiity's realm.

Tapp did die though, so there is that.

  • @whitehyena said:

My thing is they have Freddy who is a fictional pedophile, and also they should not just disregard a great possible character due to what sick actions a director took like 30 years ago. Cus I mean who wouldn't want to fly around and/or throw bellybutton shurikans at survivors? And as stated above they could just not use any affiliation with the movie and push towards the book.

The pedophile thing is one issue, yes, but the devs have also made it clear that a true flying Killer is impossible to balance properly. All you would have to do is fly up, take a quick look, find the Survivor, and they would be completely unable to do anything about it.

Also, many people still pretend that it is the original Freddy, who was not a pedophile. Just a murderer, because the whole pedophile thing left a really bad impression on people. It's a lot easier to do that than to pretend that a real person wasn't a horrible monster.

  • Not the Ghost Face in DBD. Our Ghost Face is from a few years prior to Scream.

All survivors (including Laurie and Quentin) have been confirmed to be at least 21 years of age.

Sorry if this seems rude in any way, but where/when was this confirmed?

Laurie's backstory literally states "Laurie is a typical teenager." It's one of the few things her backstory DOES state. It seems odd that they would state this, then say that she is 21.

Same with Quentin. His backstory takes place very shortly after A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010), in which, despite being played by 24-year-old Kyle Gallner, he is supposed to be 17. You don't just age 4 years in the span of a few weeks or months.

  • I'm still kind of disappointed that they did add a creature that was never human (same as when they horribly butchered Ghost Face's name with that space, instead of a single word, but I've mostly gotten over it now), but since the Demogorgon is here, I guess I'll throw out a few ideas.

Werewolf-style killer (yes I know, they said no iconic legend creatures, but they also said no creatures or clowns, and look at where that led too).

    Yeti-type creature.

    Xenomorph.

Horrifying science experiment on someone gone horribly wrong.

    Spider-creature.

Panther-human-hybrid (instant main. Don't even care if power was weak, I currently main DOCTOR).

  • I have a slightly major case of OCD. I need to complete everything. It's why I'm spending as much time as I am leveling EVERYONE up. Survivors and Killers. I got Ghost Face on the day he released and I still haven't touched him because of it as well (also so I can level him up in essentially one go, without shifting back and forth between other characters).

I'll be honest. I don't care for TV shows in general, and as such don't watch Netflix. I know nothing about Stranger Things, and likely never will, but I'll still get this DLC as soon as I can because my mind doesn't work otherwise. They can change the halloween reje-I mean Demogorgon, as much as they want. I need to complete things.

  • Laurie and Quentin are both 17, so they broke it a long time ago. Nancy (if this chapter is based on Stranger Things Season 1) will be the new youngest Survivor, at 16 (according to the wiki because I don't have Netflix and honestly don't care about it either).

  • Spirit. Onryo are scary powerful, their power fueled by their never-ending hatred and anger. Even IF Rin killed her father (which we know didn't happen anyway from the devs), onryo can never find peace, and her anger would keep her "alive" for eternity. They are strong enough to kill with ease, but they enjoy watching those close to the object of their hatred suffer first.

Rin is so powerful that even the Entity can't control her. "A dark Fog slowly veiled her eyes, but it could not subdue her rage."

  • I'm like one of the few people here with a Doctor profile.

  • The bat I keep under my desk (I'm hyper defensive, okay).

  • Dr. Herman Carter. I get why some people hate him, due to his low chase potential and his insane loopability, but he is one of the best tracking Killers in the game, his add-ons actually MODIFY his power and not just change a few values, and he is just a lot of fun to me. If he was made just a LITTLE bit less add-on reliant, he could be an actual decent killer.

(On a side note, I seem to remember people screaming for him to be nerfed too, back when this forum was relatively young. Now everyone wants him buffed.)

  • When I was about 10-ish, I had a dream where I was in my school, which was in this weird globe-thing, and there was a zombie outbreak or something along those lines. It's been so long that I don't remember the details. I just remember being scared to death for about a week.

On the weird side, I don't remember when it was, but I had a dream where a very important computer program was murdered. Not hacked. Murdered. I remember nothing else. Just that one very specific detail.

    I don't like fortnite:)

No one with a quarter of a brain does. Nothing about that game is original.

Battle Royale? Done even before PUBG. Prop Hunt? Done on GMod well before. Third-Person Tower Defense? The sadly dead Orcs Must Die franchise did well before as well.

Okay, I have nothing else to say right now.

  • From what I can tell, they were merged with General Discussions.

Why? I have no clue, so hopefully someone (mods) can answer that one.

  • Michael (counts due to Tier One) - Really fun to play

Hag - One of my top three Killers

Doctor (he counts due to Treatment Mode, okay) - Absolute favorite Killer

Huntress - First Killer I ever played, still enjoy

Spirit - Either right above or right below Michael

    I'm noticing a trend here.

  • image.png

I'll readily admit Doctor's placement in me being a biased Doctor main, and Nurse's placement is because I literally cannot play her.

Two omissions here as well. I have not played new Freddy, and, although I've had him since he came out, I have not actually touched Ghost Face since I've been leveling other characters up to 30 (almost done), so I've put him to the side for now.

  • Thematically, Jason makes the most sense. Friday the 13th. Chapter 13. If they don't add him now, they might as well never add him.

A lot of evidence points to Stranger Things, but I don't understand how that would work. All of the Killers are human. Is there some sort of human killer in Stranger Things (never seen/never want to see the show).

Also, Pinhead has been thrown around a bit before Ghost Face came out.

Or it could be a completely original Killer.

  • Seems cool. Gives Distressing another Killer it works with. And the fog manipulation is nice (not sure about the fog dash, depends on just how vague it resembles him).

Honestly though, if Jason isn't the next Killer, they might as well not add him at all.

Why? Next chapter is Chapter 13.

The town of Weeks would make for a great map tbh.And yeah the locals probably think the town is cursed and ruled by some demonic possession. But it is normal for people to go missing in towns right? But it is not normal for people to disappear without a trace in towns who are no longer functioning and are dried of human presence. So the town really is abandoned?

We kind of already have Weeks as a map. It's where the MacMillan Estate is.

  • Plague. Her appearance was one of her only redeeming qualities when I first used her (her lore being the other).

For scare factor, I would have to say Clown solely because I have coulrophobia.

  • I used to hate Adiris, but having just leveled her to 30, I'm actually starting to get used to her. Still not my favorite by any means, but she's moving away from rock bottom.

  • Okay then.

    Garage Sale Tickler it is.

  • Never really thought of it. Maybe the "Smiling Stalker" or something like that, mostly because one of my friends describes my rare smile as "serial killer like". And I won't disagree with her.

I'm also just really good at creeping people out.

  • I mean, it would literally just be stuff from the movies, but I wouldn't mind. Who knows. Maybe we can get some unseen things that were only mentioned (like 2010 Freddy getting his power or how Tapp became as good as he was).

  • Survivor: Yamaoka Estate. I just really like the aesthetic, and it has some really good hiding places.

Killer: Depends on who I'm playing, but I tend to enjoy the Autohaven Wreckers maps.

    Doctor: The Game.

Guys, guys, Death Garden is already actively working on a 2 hunter mode and Monstrum is releasing a multiplayer "Monstrum 2" in the future. Death Garden adding the mode might cause some DBD vets to leave after years of "2 killer mode when?" falling on deaf ears. However if anything is meant to kill Dead by Daylight I'd bet on Monstrum 2. Would I bet a lot, no. But I'll put like 5 bucks on Monstrum 2 becoming popular.

And you know who makes Death Garden?

I think it's telling when the closest real competition DBD has is made by the same people.

As for this game, nothing has toppled DBD in the three years its been around. As much as we all know the devs aren't perfect (Legion, Plague, Ghost Face, MoM, DS, etc.) they actually do seem to care about their game.

    1. Doctor - Sure, he may not be strong, but I have so much fun with him. Also, I love finding that one really cocky Survivor and ruining his life. Also, bloodpoints.
    2. Legion - I don't understand why people say they are boring.
    3. Hag - I used to hate her with a passion, then she got a buff ages ago. Now I can't do without her.
    4. Spirit - Mindgames.
    5. Huntress - My first Killer I ever played, nothing is going to replace that.
  • 69% completion. Most of the ones I have left are either hyper difficult (Evil Incarnate), nearing completion (Dismantle), I don't play that Killer much (In the Void She Walks) or Prestige (not going to be doing these, at least for a long while).

  • For me, it would have to be Meg. Though, to be honest, it's mostly because of her braids. After that it's Kate, then Claudette or Min (if I have her long hair cosmetic on).

  • While I don't fully main them, I have a lot of fun with Legion. Something about running around like a maniac trying to stab people just makes me happy (don't take that too literally, please. I have enough people thinking I'm crazy as it is.) Also, people tend to get really cocky against Legion (and my actual main, Doctor, as well), and those that get cocky tend to slip up.

Just don't expect to start doing amazing right off the bat.
