Lol have you seen being both in movies/book. We never seen vampire zombies you see what i mean.
Ever hear of the Jiangshi? They are called hopping zombies and hopping vampires. The name literally translates to stiff corpse, and their movements are zombie like, but they need to drain lifeforce to survive.
Not saying they're common, but hybrids of these things exist.
-
Why can't she be both?

Where are these challenges? I'm new to game, on switch, and all I get is a daily ritual. Am I overlooking something?
Do you have a thing called Archives?

Just want to say that turning into a Survivor will not work, as that will be so easily countered by SWF that it wouldn't even be funny.
-
Yeah, that's something that never made sense. Trapper trapped people in a mine, so bear traps make sense. Hillbilly and Leatherface used chainsaw, so their abilities make sense. Spirit is an onryo. Clown's power fits his lore so well. Plague is literally infected with a plague. Legion is a group of stab-happy teenagers.
But Wraith. He's a former car crusher who violently murdered his boss to avenge all the people in the cars he was crushing. And he gets... a bell with invisibility powers. I think they were drunk when they decided on his power.

The last movie I properly saw in theaters was Solo. Let that sink in.
No, I will not. Outside of Rogue One, the Disney Star Wars films are pretty mediocre. I liked Solo more than Force Awakens, but neither are great, and I, while originally mad, am SO grateful I didn't go to see The Last Jedi. Everything Disney touches nowadays falls apart due to politics.
-
Lisa has been in the game for a VERY long time, and she barely has any cosmetics. And, discounting her new Halloween one, the ones she does get are mediocre at best.
For those complaining about Krueger, seriously? He's licensed, and licensed skins take a while, cut them some slack.
-
Did I have fun? That's what's important. If yes, then I won, regardless of my status. If not, I need to redeem myself.
-
The only Killer I completely cannot stand is Trapper, and he's free.
Sure, I don't like Clown, but I wouldn't call him a waste of money. I mean, I have no time for the shrine and he has PGtW and Bamboozle.
-
Ash's lore makes it clear that he (as usual) messed up the ritual. Instead of being reunited with Pablo, Kelly, and Brandy, he accidentally summoned the Entity. Or at least, opened a portal to its realm. It's not one hundred percent clear. The Entity never fully grabbed him like it did with Kate, but Steve was just sent through a hole that opened up, so it is possible that Ash got the Entity interested.
I think my explanation just made it more confusing, but I tried.

Fix the bugs first.
it's also way too harsh for people who have poor internet (like me for a while, something about the cabling being wrong causing it to go out literally everyday, for as long as an hour at a time, maybe longer).
-
I have fixed my error with Demogorgon, as well as cleared up a small amount of the clutter (I don't want to delete too much, as I like to see the progress I have made, and see my mistakes like with Rin and Demogorgon, but I realize it might be a little hard to read. If I need to delete all of the crossed out parts, I will, but I'm leaving them here for now.)

The Demogorgon model is from the end credit scene in Season 3. It looks different from the one in Season 1. Timeline or not, it ain't the same Demo from the first season. Sorry.
True. I'll try to figure out how to edit it tomorrow when I actually have time. Again, never seen the show, so I wouldn't know they are that different, therefore leading me to assume that they were pretty much the same model.
-
I was tempted to say Legion, as I could see something working where one by one a group of friends starts disappearing, only to have been the cause of the disappearances in the first place, but Herman is just much more intriguing.
Plus, I have a thing for psychological horror.

@WereGonnaLoveForever said:
The Demogorgon is probably the one being held by the Russians at the end of season 3. I would say it is more probable since we get a season 3 outfit for Steve. Plus the chained up cosmetics for Demogorgon would also back up that theory, which would make it 1984-1985.
Like I (kind of) said in my mental breakdown, I didn't believe it was that Demogorgon because it only is seen for one scene, while the original was a constant threat throughout the entire first season. It does, however, work with the Season 3 cosmetics and the supposed ages of Nancy and Steve a bit better than the original, and it makes the quotes make more sense.
Until more evidence comes out though (possibly through the Archives), I'm sticking to it being the original, but it does have potential.

Best Killer: Clown. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love Rin and Adiris's lore as well, and they'd be second and third, but Clown's lore is so detailed.
Best Survivor: Either Kate or Jane for me.
Worst Killer: Does Michael even have backstory? Same thing goes for Demi. (I would like to tell @Volfawott that we do know how it got grabbed, it's just hidden away in its power description. A hole literally just opened in the ground. No explanation, and that is not how the Entity grabs things).
Worst Survivor: Laurie. As much as I hate Nancy and Meg's lore, at least they give us something to work with. Laurie might as well not exist.
-
Kind of hard when Claudette is only Lvl 33 and you don't use the shrine.
I do use it on Claudette though.

Do zoomers really not know what hyperbole is? The point wasn't that LITERALLY no one likes him. It was that he really doesn't see much play. I guarantee you if we had the internal data we'd see he's the least played survivor.
Geez, I'm getting old. I remember when ppl knew when something was hyperbolic.
I apologize. It is really hard to tell sarcasm online most of the time.
-
I think kucerka hit this one on the head. No one plays him, so why would BHVR make cosmetics for a character who is largely forgotten about. Which is a shame, as they could do so many things with him. Same goes for Jeff. Not many people play him, so there are so few cosmetics for him.
@Theoretical_Heart said:
Adam sucks. No one likes him. He's ugly in design. His perks are trash, yes even Deliverance. He's just a boring survivor. I think he's everyone's least favorite. I never see any Adam players.
Define "everyone's least favorite." He has always been in my top three from the moment I saw him, and recently surpassed Feng Min for the title of "Favorite Survivor." I realize I am a very small voice in the multitudes of people who play, but saying that NO ONE likes Adam is a straight up lie.
-
I'm bad at literally everything else.
-
Doctor is my favorite Killer, although part of me really wants to change it to Adam.
-
That depends on whether or not I can convince three friends to join me in being idiots walking around my town as Legion. So far my friends have either had other plans (vast majority), have work (a few), don't want to (a larger few), or just outright don't observe Halloween (one of my friends).
If a miracle happens, then we'll wander around aimlessly, scaring people. If not, I'll be one of the Legionnaires anyway and just hand out candy at my grandmother's house, like I usually do.
-
I was originally going to vote for 2 hook, but I like justarandy's idea far better.
-
Doctor and Clown for me. Not that I'm complaining. Clown is boring and, while I love him, Doctor hates my computer. I've also yet to see Demi at all, but I haven't been playing much recently.

Borrowed Time used to affect both survivors, but could only be used once per match. Its not even a nerf, they made it infinite.
Oh yeah. Kind of forgot about that.
-
Let's see here...
Brand New Part: Way too powerful of a plus with next to no downside.
Healing: Okay, you win there. The healing change was a bit much.
Exhaustion: You try running, get tired, and keep running and see if you stop getting tired. It was unrealistic and unbalanced.
Decisive Strike: The old version was unfair. Plain and simple. The new version is still frequently used, it was just (very rightfully) reduced a bit.
Borrowed Time: Is this something to do with Oblivious? Because most Killers still suffer from this.
Mettle of Man: How are you able to defend the old version of this perk? It was a broken, overpowering, and unfair perk that shouldn't have existed in the first place. Was it nerfed too much? Yes, but it was justified.
Instaheals: Again, how can you defend this? They were unbalanced and should have been changed a long time ago.
Keys: I actually find these somewhat balanced. A few tweaks, to prevent you from hiding the whole game and escaping for doing nothing, and I think they'd be fine.
Pretty much everything you are crying about here was nerfed for a reason. Because it was way too unbalanced.
Oh, and before you call me a biased Killer main
I'm a fifty-fifty player.
-
Probably Badham. I don't think Ormond would be afterwards though, given the Legion is from 1996. It would probably be Gideon's, as Saw took place in the early 2000's.

I'm a straight, white, 17-year-old male (though my comments on these forums make me seem more like I'm in my 30s).
If we're talking physical disabilities, my right foot is twisted, causing me to walk on the side of it. I'm also pretty sure I'm bordering legal blindness (I can't read anything more than three inches away without my glasses, and it keeps getting worse).
If we're talking mental disabilities, I have pretty bad OCD, and I'm pretty sure something else is wrong with me, but we haven't figured out what.
-
Okay, I know I'm not the best person to talk about this kind of thing, but I'm going to give it a try anyway.
I really don't care about the sexuality of a character. And if they do say that David is gay, I'll... still not play him much because I hate how loud he is, but I won't mind. The diversity of Survivors is what makes them unique from the Killers, and I like that. Having a gay character would just add to it. Right now, David is just the tough, English guy with an aggressive personality. What I don't want is for it to be out of the blue. Overwatch got a lot of backlash from Tracer and Solider: 76 because it was never hinted at. Ever. And then, boom... they're suddenly "always been this way," or something like that (I stopped really following Overwatch news after Hammond honestly). Build it up through the Archives. Don't just let it be the first thing that happens.
But that's just a minor issue that I, personally, have with making a character in DBD gay. My biggest issue is that... there are people in this game who don't, and don't want to, understand, or even more so, accept, what these characters are. They may be tunneled, camped, lobby dodged, etc. all because of their sexuality. And, I don't want that. And I think that's the biggest reason why BHVR has been so vague with this. The community is bad enough.
So, to end it off, if you want David to be gay, just say that he is yourself. A lot of people already pair him up with Dwight anyway. I'm just afraid of the negativity it would ignite in the game, and the controversy that it would cause. Any wrong move, and the whole game goes crashing down.
That's just my two cents on this issue. Again, I'm not the best person for this kind of thing (I'm just bad at communicating as it is), but I wanted to say something about it.
-
My coulrophobia says Clown. Pretty self explanatory
My logic says Demogorgon. Ridiculously hard to outrun, and it can probably track you for miles (don't know the limit, never seen Stranger Things).
My awareness says Legion. If one's after you, in a real life situation, they'd likely ALL be after you.
-
I wonder who'd get the Legion skin. Joey's the most likely, as he's the purple rank cosmetic, which is the same cost as the event cosmetics, but Susie's base mask feels like it would be better, while at the same time, Frank is the Legionnaire you see in promotional art all the time. And we can't forget to throw Julie into the equation.
I'd also love to see what they could do for Hag, who's been in the game forever, but has like, 10 cosmetics in the store. Spirit is another cool one.
And Ghost Face and Pig aren't completely ruled out either, as their license holders have shown a bit of leeway in allowing skins for them. Unlikely, but not impossible. Same for Demogorgon, but they're just too recent to get a skin, at least in my opinion.
EDIT: Oh yeah... forgot about the leak when I typed this.

Michael does need faster stalking speed but his lore?
Michael heard voices telling him to kill, he killed on that Halloween night, Dr. Loomis captured him and realized how he was pure evil and tried to keep him contained, when Michael escaped, he went to hunt Michael and stop him from his spree as he went for Laurie and back to his home town.
This might be just me honestly, but part of what makes the characters good to me is their lore. Yes, Michael heard voices that told him to kill people, which his lore... kind of mentions. It gives us very little to work with. Demogorgon is the same way lore-wise.
And when you have amazing lore for the other licensed Killers, especially for Ghost Face, it just looks pathetic. Even if you say it is because of how early he came into DBD's existence, Nurse, Trapper and Wraith all have somewhat decent lore (Hillbilly is the exception). Again, it might just be me, but good lore is something I look for with these characters.
-
This one is hard honestly. On one hand, Michael is more powerful. He can bring everyone into exposed at once, or go the whole game without a Terror Radius. One of his add-ons allows him to see through walls, and if you combine two of his add-ons (I belive its the green and yellow stalk movement speed add-ons), you stalk at normal walking speed.
On the other hand, Ghost Face is just more fun to me. While the adept system is admittedly getting me flustered with him, I really enjoy being able to peek around corners. He's a lot harder to spot, due to being able to crouch and is naturally short, and moves at normal speed for most of the game. Even crouching doesn't really slow him down. He exposes people faster, and can better time it for when he's right on top of someone. His lore is also much better than... does Michael even have lore (sarcasm mostly intended)?
-
Chapter 4: Spark of Madness for me, for a few reasons. It gave us the Doctor, who as anyone who pays attention to the few times I do bring it up (and my profile picture) is my main. Two of his perks are actually somewhat decent (let's just pretend Overwhelming Presence doesn't exist, and I know PGtW is better than Overcharge. I just suck at dealing with Overcharge). It also gave us my favorite survivor, Feng Min (who no one can pronounce correctly), as well as her perks (I don't get the hate for Technician, it has saved my life countless times, Lithe is okay, and Alert is amazing). And, as much as I hate it, Léry's opened up a lot of possibilities for maps, and has a cool aesthetic, even if it completely fails as a good map. The lore was also pretty decent.
-
Yes, Spirit is not a zombie. She's, and I know you'll find this hard to believe, a SPIRIT.
Plague is also essentially undead, Freddy is a dream demon, and by extension undead, Nurse is most certainly a ghost of sorts, and if Hag isn't undead, then what is she?
So yeah, throw a zombie into the mix.
-
I imagine that he'd have some sort of ability to eat fear. This would allow him to start out weak, but become incredibly powerful as the game progresses. That is my guess. Maybe some teleportation and "shapeshifting" into a "scary" creature.
To be honest though, how would he work? I'd want an explanation to why It is in the realms. He would also need a Derry map. Ghost Face worked (kind of) without a map because he can literally be anybody. But It belongs in Derry.
Honestly, the "lore" we got for Demogorgon kind of makes me not want any other extradimensional beings in DBD, since they made it clear that they have no clue how to work them. Maybe that's just me, but I don't want to see Pennywise/It in the game, at least until they figure out a decent way to bring him in.
-
I hate all three, but the Game is just too confusing and I've had one match on Hawkins and I was completely lost on it. Léry's is at least relatively predictable.
-
Welp, there goes my plan to Adept Steve today.
-
Yeah, they make mistakes (what they did to Legion, Plague, MoM existing, the fact that if it weren't for PTB the original form of Ghost Face would have been official, etc.), but I still play because they do a good job, especially with the relatively small team they have for a large game like DBD.
-
Hag's dark green skin. I play her a lot, but I came to realize that I could spend my blood shards in much better areas.
Also, all of Meg's green cosmetics. I'm slowly replacing them.

She? The Entity was confirmed genderless.
You'll see everyone refer to the Entity as she. Has to do with French sentence formation.
-
Spirit is really hard to read a lot of the time. And rather than learn how to deal with her, people DC and ask for nerfs.
While there are things that are overpowering with her (prayer beads), she's not as bad as everyone says.
-
Think of it like this, because this is how I processed it.
Adiris was deceiving everyone around. While promising to cure everyone, she was spreading more of the illness. While everyone saw her beauty, she was starting to fall into decay. Rather than getting help for herself, she kept going out into public, spreading even more disease. Finally, she led several of her most devoted followers to their deaths.
Whether she was willing or not, her actions are evil. She was so desperate to save others, that she became what she wanted to destroy. And the Entity picked up on this.
That's why I believe she was taken. She was a servant to the gods, and the Entity is godlike in power.
Also, wickedness isn't a prerequisite for Killers. Take Leatherface. He just wanted to protect his family. In fact, the people he killed were done so in self defense. If it wasn't for his cannibalism, I think he might have been let go.
-
Demogorgon placement/madman's rant has been added.
-
I would have to say Ash. The dude literally had to murder his friends after they were possessed by Deadites, saw off his own hand, got sent through time, returned and ran from his past, ended up summoning his past and causing a world-wide apocalypse, left his friends behind, brought to near death by a demon, got sent to the future, not knowing where the few friends he had left were, and then got brought here.
Can't get much worse.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/87431/the-clowns-story-is-wasted
I have to point out that there was an actual killer clown in real life. I think the Clown is inspired by that twisted serial killer. While he didn't collect trophies, he still was a menace while still alive. I think that makes it hit closer to home than most killers.
This. Clown is largely based on John Wayne Gacy, who dressed up as Pogo the Clown as he kidnapped, tortured, violated, and murdered over thirty teenage boys and hid them in his basement.
Now look at our Clown. He dressed up as a clown, kidnapped people, tortured them mentally. physically, and I'd imagine sexually, then killed them and disposed of their corpses.
-
That actually explains something.
Above are Ingrid Blemur and Sarah Robinson, Meg and Claudette's voice actors. For the longest time, I couldn't figure out why Ingrid was Meg and Sarah was Claudette. But if the two were meant to be switched... It makes a whole lot more sense. At least to me anyway.
-
I just have rank 2 Awesome (25). I've been here since June 2018, but I'm just not that active.

As a Killer main, I have to say that's too powerful.
-
Okay Ashley, I like you, and your posts are a lot of the time interesting. And Until Dawn is an interesting game, but think for a moment. Until Dawn was EXCLUSIVE to the PS4. Do you really want another Bill situation where PC and Xbox players can't get Hannah (or any other Wendigo, but Hannah's the only real important one) because Sony won't give any rights to others? That's one of the reasons why Man of Medan is so lackluster. Until Dawn had a massive studio helping to pay for it. Man of Medan doesn't.
And the Hag... stop denying what the facts are. She was starving, got desperate, and ate people! What turns you into a Wendigo? Starvation, desperation, and CANNIBALISM! It's one of the defining traits in the ORIGINAL MYTH. Just because she doesn't look like a Wendigo like you know one, doesn't mean she isn't. And besides, have you actually seen what Wendigos are SUPPOSED to look like?
Quite different. I'd personally prefer the original to Hannah, maybe give us a Native American Survivor as well to make it more thematic. Shrink it a bit though, since they are supposed to be 15 feet tall.
