You say this like it would resolve anything. Any Nurse who posts footage would either get “you’re bad” or “see, she’s broken.” There is no winning the argument because you are close minded.
Carful you might get labeled as close minded killer main.

Exactly this. I rarely used it before the patch, but I love the idea of a skilled "parry" ability. Unfortunately, even if I'm carefully watching the killer and press it just as the attack starts it doesn't matter, I will be exhausted on the ground. Whats the point of having a new dead hard that requires skill to use if it doesn't work when you definitely time it correctly.
Edit: Wouldn't you rather the survivor do something that requires skill instead of just sprint bursting away to a safe tile when they hear your terror radius? @VikingDragonXii
I don't mind SB, Lithe, or BL because those take certain conditions to use correctly and all three can be use when you don't want them to if your not carful.
As it stands DH is now truly skill based and has proven who used it as a crutch and don't have the skills and those who do.

Yeah, never said that. Never implied it. Never said anything close to it. Don't believe it.
Try not to lie. I know it is hard, since you have to try to convince people nurse is okay in her current state. But just...try not to.
I've done everything asked of me by Nurse mains, including showing my gameplay, because apparently nurse mains are the only ones who know how to play. Just get cricket sounds as a reply when they realize a player much better than them has a different view point on balance. Still waiting for some gameplay from some of them. Any day now.
It doesn't matter if you have 20k hours as nurse or 1000 hrs on nurse. She has valid counters that you seem to denounce just because you have more hours than anyone else.
You have multiple people some are Nurse Mains others are not that say and confirm the valid strats to use against her.
As I stated after playing her I found she's not op just a difficult Killer that takes a different strategy than just Hold W or predrop pallets. Now what makes her op are certain addons and her blink attacks are considered basic attacks. Also her blinks are not perfect and takes a lot of skill to get right and it can't blink through everything....
-
DH is perfectly fine as it is now it takes real skill to use it and not some press E "duhhhh me good survivor look me loop."
I have had survivors use it skillfully against me as Killer and got away. I find it's very healthy now.

Tunneling is harder to combat but camping has a super easy thing that dbd could introduce if they didnt want it, and they tried previously.
"If a killer is within x meters of a hook the struggle timer is paused/reduced" They took this out because survivors exploited it by getting chased around the hook but they could include something like "and another (non-dying/non-hooked) survivor is not within x meters"
Again they already tried that and it was abused by survivors so they scrapped it. Any fixes to camping and Tunneling has to be something that CANT be abused by both sides and dosnt punish the players who camp and tunnel in the appropriate times.
Ugh ignore that I missed the last part of your post like a idiot....I'm too used of seeing that argument on the forums lol

Nothing new, then? The same old stuff that everyone has said is useless for everyone except players new to facing nurse? All that stuff?
Yeah..
It's actually so silly that these nurse defenders try to tell people who know the game much better than they do how to play against Nurse. It's all common knowledge at this point. Stop lying and saying people just don’t want to learn how to play against Nurse. It is so insincere. Just a cop-out.
Then is sounds like you have no idea how to loop her and deal with her and want to blame everyone else who tries to help that they don't know what they are talking about.
Here's another suggestion play as Nurse and find out for yourself that she's not as OP as you believe she is. Her Blink is not absolute and she has many weaknesses that can be exploited to loop her. Most players just want to use the same old strategies that they use on 90% of the Killer Roster and call OP when those strats dont work against them.

Honestly, I'm starting to not care whether or not tunneling and camping changes effect the average Killer.
So far as I can see, the average Killer in my games will do it regardless of their position, winning or otherwise. It has nothing to do with what is necessary (although sometimes it is) and more to do with what is easy.
Only time I have ever camped a player is always that one Clickly Click player that decided poking a bear is a fun game to play....as long as players don't do toxic things to me I WONT do toxic camping and Tunneling to them.

Debunked? Joking, right?
Not a single valid point for why nurse should be nerfed has been "Debunked".
Just nurse players desperately scrambling to defend their toy saying all sorts of nonsense.
Yes they have been debunked constantly in everything thread counter plays are discussed some simple and some in great detail. Even some have links to YouTube videos HOW to counter her.
It's the "NeRf NuRsE" players scrambling to do something....hence why everyday there's a new Nerf Nurse...Nurse Should Be Deleted....or my favorite is Nurse is a No Skill Killer threads pop up.
Does she need some minor changes yes she does.
•Add-On rework
•Change her Blink attack from a basic to a special
•Have the Doc check out that horrible wheezing she does I'm worried about her health.

What I'm not understanding in your scenario is, did you cage the survivor? Because if you cage them then it automatically ports him to another spot. So at that point you don't have a choice anymore. And if you give chase and their teammates leads you to their cage, that isn't your fault. You can down them both, or chase the teammate, or chase the survivor he just saved. All viable and reasonable options.
I have played Pyramid Head enough to guess to about 90% certainty where it spawns. I was heading to my guessed area because there was a Gen that I knew was being worked on and I saw a survivor going for the rescue.
But let's forget about that what happened to me was a caged survivor but a hooked one. I was not camping or anything like that but was punished because the game has a set condition for a teleport to occur. A situation where I could of downed the rescuer before they did the rescue and net two hooked survivors actually lost me one survivor and possibly the one I was chasing as well leaving me punished for camping when I wasn't in the first place
-
@Tactrix said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3095069#Comment_3095069
Right, but here's what you're forgetting, you're not suppose to have the choice to get the survivor in the cage unless you're extremely lucky. THAT is how it's suppose to work, the cage is suppose to be invisible to the killer until the actual unhook at which point you see the explosion. So the choice you're talking about isn't suppose to exist by design. You're only suppose to cage, and then run around looking for the others.
I'm not forgetting that I was using what happened to me to explain why and how that type of anit camp system can and is being abused. The choice is either don't chase and it teleports vs I chase it teleports and I lose the hooked survivor. I was not camping in the example I gave but was punished as if I was camping because the Survivor I was chasing looped to the cage.
A anti Tunnel and Camping systems has to be made where it can't be abused by either side.
-
@Tactrix said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3095045#Comment_3095045
I don't understand what the abuse there is? I mean if you continue to chase them and don't back off, they don't get the rescue and you get a second survivor down, so what's the abuse? Because remember it's not camping if they lead u to the cage, it's their own fault. So at that point its 100% on them.
The act of using the cage's anti camp system to get a safe unhook. The survivor used that knowledge and forced the choice so that then thier teammate was waiting to do the rescue where I couldn't stop it.
The same would go with your idea of tp hooks. Survivors would force that choice and you lose a hooked survivor and maybe even lose the one your chasing as well. Remember even if you chase the one survivor there is no guarantee that you will down them. A killers time is limited even now with the extended Gen times a Killer can't commit to a chase forever.

I told them about an uncampable solution to make every hook act like cage of atonement and remove all the camping perks from the game. But they haven't done it yet.
Again something like that can be abused by survivors like they do now with the cages. I had a game where I caged someone and I went to patrol a Gen near them because I knew that Gen had progress on it. When I got there I saw a survivor going for the rescue so I went to cut them off, they led the chase straight to the cage forcing me to choose continue the chase or back off and let them have the rescue. I decided to continue the chase and the cage ported to a survivor waiting on the opposite side of the map for a instant rescue.
That's why most Pyramid Heads don't use the cage anymore because of that little issue.
So as I stated before it has to be a system that CANT be abused by either side and won't punish those who use camping and tunneling in the proper time and don't abuse it.

The fastest and most efficient way to stop killers from camping(or at least being able to camp effectively) is to make a debuff that if a killer goes within 20 meters of the hook after 5 seconds of the person being on it the gen speed increases by 10%. That's all. That's literally the difference between a guaranteed 2k and, 1k with 3 people escaping. I should add this debuff deactivates if another survivor is within the same range.
Sadly it won't work because they already tried a similar proposed fix and tested it where the hook timer slowed and then stopped when the killer was around the hook. The issue was survivors abused it by looping the Killer around the hooked survivor stopping the hook timer and allowing the other two survivors to do gens.
Basically it punished Killers that don't camp. A true fix to Camping and Tunneling has to be something that can't be abused by either side and since the Devs said in the right situations camping and tunneling is a valid Strat, they would have to find a way to punish the toxic camper and tunnelers while not punishing the ones who do it in the right situations.

There's nothing wrong with bbq, it's a good perk requiring a hook before it activates. It keeps the game flowing because killers can see where to head next, and it gets them away from a hook.

That and they probably want to take their time and make sure the changes they want will not buff SWFs as well...SoloQ is a tricky situation to deal with since what ever you do there will buff SWFs

A clear way to really punish camping and tunnelling (as promised)
Solo survivors better communication and buffs
gens back at 80 seconds
COH removed or nerfed into oblivion
They said they will look into camping and Tunneling but that it's a slippery slope because they are both valid strats and don't want to do anything too harshly to punish the toxic users that would punish the players using them correctly.
That was removed from the roadmap because they need to carefully work on how to buff soloQ without buffing SWFs
Sadly Gens probably won't go back to 80s since the Devs themselves said gens were going faster than they wanted them too.
CoH is in a good place now and is a strong perk but not a op perk.

That's all good and well, but we have hit a point where survivors would rather give up than play. And instead of asking why people are giving up people on here are calling them whiners and that they are just throwing hissy fits. Let's not forget the people whining right now make up the majority of the player base (soloQ survivors). Would be a shame if we all just stopped playing and killers had 20 minute killer ques... oh wait.
Killers don't have 20 min wait times the most I waited at any given point was a max of 10 mins but that was when the patch first hit now it's roughly 5 mins or less depending on the time of day.
As for the whiny survivors...yes they are because I have faced survivors that are doing just fine with the changes. They use the new DH skillfully and DS if used correctly and not in the open can still be good (even though I agree that the 3 sec stun is too much).
But that being said yes the whiny ones are ones that found out they were not as good as they thought they were. I have seen survivors that don't know how to loop or try to run to another loop when the clearly couldn't make it. During egc those survivors are the ones that make toxic remarks saying "I bet your glad you whiny Killers got your way" or "GG Ez baby Killer". But ones who do good and are not affected by the patch are in like mind with the most of us saying that they don't understand why so many are crying about the patch.

They are not Killing the game this patch was very healthy for it besides some over nerfs or just plain strange ones that don't make sense but overall it's a good patch.
SoloQ will take more time to buff because they have to be careful because anything they buff SoloQ SWFs will get buffed as well.
Camping and tunneling is another touchy issue that will take time because both are valid strats if used at the right time but not when it's tunnel at 5 gens or face camp at 5 gens etc. You can Nerf or Punish camping and tunneling of the toxic Killers without doing the same to those who use them when they are supposed to.
Maps will take ALOT of work to fix thier issues

I feel slugging is fun, but not that Nurse / Startruck / Infectious fright slugging...
I had vs a slugging Trickster (not slugging build, but just slug, only hook if all 4 down). It was a 4K but I had a blast, the match was tense, everyone are busy picking up each other, the match length was decent too.
True.....but I still like my idea....instead of increasing Gen times they could of added a mechanic where at 25, 50, and 75% a spare part spawns on the map and survivors would have to retrieve it and install it to the Gen to progress. The BNP would be changed to be used instead of the spare part. After installing a part for a set point the Gen can be repaired past that point if it gets regressed due to perk or killer kick.

Instead of increasing repair speed for each survivor dies, I have this one.
Number of Gen required to power Gates = number of survivor alive + 2.
4 survivors have to repair 6 Gen. If they done 5 Gen and one dies, Gates are powered immediately. This will make killers to decide either they last hook survivor and power Gates, or slug them and find others.
Unfortunately with that then you could have a suicide hook and instantly power doors

I don't use regression perks and I do just fine. Regression Perks are not like how original DH was where it's press E and extend a chase to a pallet or next loop that they normally couldn't make it too or to fix a mistake they make. Heck most of the Regression perks now don't synergize with each other like they use too so if a killer does a 4 stack they are a idiot tbh

I honestly have no idea what you are talking about. My three go-to builds survived completely intact and now that survivors had some time to adjust to the new killer speeds things got pretty much back to normal. Games feel much more fun and fair now, though, and surviving isn't a givin, but needs at least some good decisionmaking and looping skills during the trial.
Killer queues got longer indeed, because a lot of players for the first time feel confident enough to try out killer for real, instead of getting dominated, crushed and laughed out of the game. During peek hours my killer queues are finally sub 1min, though, because, gosh, people still enjoy playing SWF in the evening. I see this a win win for everyone.
Agreed all this patch did was prove who actually has the skills and who were only being supported by the perks they had.
Survivors say DH is dead and worthless now...in about 45% of my games there was at least 1 Survivor that used DH effectively and got good use out of it. Was I angry they used it like before.....no because now DH takes actual skill and planning to use it.
DS isn't ruined either just not effective against a mobile Killer like Blight or Nurse. But I see the Devs making some minor changes to it because I for one agree 3 secs isn't enough time.
I haven't seen people using some of the more troublesome perks like OTR or IW, I used IW and it still did it job to hide me from Killers. Haven't used OTR yet to see how well it does

There was a good suggestion a while back that would help with repair times without increasing them.
At 25, 50, and 75% players would have to find a part that spawns on the map to continue repairing the Gen past that point. The BNP would be changed to take place of the part needed.
If the Gen regressed past one of the said points you wouldn't need to find another part because you already put it in.

Prior to the update, killer mains went on about how the devs said "kill rates are too low". The devs propose an update with a bunch of killer buffs to increase kill rates. Kill rates increase; that's what happens when Pinhead has the box and four slowdowns against four solos. Killer mains then accuse survivors of throwing to explain the skyrocketing kill rates. I think killers have buyer's remorse because they asked for too much and got all of it and more, making trials too easy.
As far as kill rates, there are nice killers who still let survivors go, those learning Nurse and failing, Deathslingers on Switch, etc.
In my survivor games there are always 1 or 2 people suicide on hook giving the killer kills while there HAS been a strange uptick on camping and Tunneling at 5 gens beyond that of what we only really saw at high MMR and the sparse Bubbas.
I'm not saying what you said is false however but you can't deny there has been a increase of posts about both issues since patch and they do match up with the amount of Survivors saying they are going to play Killer now.
-
@threeQuinn said:
I'm not complaining about the update specifically. I like it and welcome the nerfs and buffs on either side (except Off The Record, which I now run 100% of my matches), including Dead Hard which I ran every match, but I can't ignore the fact that these issues have increased drastically since.
Playing killer has been more fun since the update but the queue times are 10 min at every time of day, while before killer queues were faster in the evening, and survivor queues were faster in the morning.
It would be bearable but there's either:
1. The occasional 4-man sweat group with teabaggers, flashlight macros, and gg ez spammers which doesn't make waiting 10 min feel worth it. Trying hard to win I understand, but when I don't play Nurse/Blight/Spirit, it's unballanced. I don't have a main, and switch up killers after every match.
or 2. People who experience the same survivor games I experience with DCs and people killing themselves on 1st hook, making the queue times longer than the matches.
As for playing survivor, even with a 5s queue time, solo survivor has become completely unbearable.
Teammates keep DCing and killing themselves on 1st hook. And those who don't, the majority of them are clueless. I run Kindred in solo queue so I can see that they're crouching in a corner when the killer is on the opposite side of the map, or how they are opening chests while healthy when someone's on a hook and going to hit stage 2 if they don't get off the chest and run to them immediately.
Note: I've been Iri rank in both roles consistenly for the past 900h (if I play that month), so I wouldn't say I deserve the MMR.
On the other side killers keep camping and tunneling, even on 5 gens. Again I run Kindred so I can see that they're within 16 meters 23/7, even with no survivor near the hook.
Second problem with killer is that 50% of my killer games are Nurse, majority who run Agitation and Starstruck, with an occasional Infectious fright who will then slug and chain downs on 5 gens (even with a DC they play like it's a tournament game). 20% are blights who use slide tech and turn 130+ degrees around corners, 10% are face camping bubbas, and 20% are the rest (including nice, noncamping bubbas).
Playing with premades has not been much more bearable when half the games are Nurse with the aforementioned build who run Kavanagh's Last Breath and Fragile Wheeze making her catch up immediately after a hit.
(I play with a casual group, not a tryhard 4-man squad.)
I've had issues with the game before but none so serious that made me create an account just to post something like this. I don't see a reason to play this game right now when 8/10 matches are terrible, and the reason are the players.
As for suggestions, nerf nurse and fix blight, something to stop camping and tunneling, and fix MMR and queue times.
(On an additional note, I saw a streamer with 270+ winstreak on Nurse. If that doesn't say something, I don't know what will.)
"Fixing" Nurse will not stop camping and tunneling or even slugging. I made a post about the increase of hook suicides and camping and tunneling after the patch with players saying they are going to switch from survivor to killer.
With people doing hook suicides combined with the influx of camping and tunneling I'm afraid these players who switched are trying to inflate the kill numbers to influence a change similar to the Spirit issues when soany we're doing hook suicides to inflate her kill numbers.

Because most streamers thinks they are getting stream-snipped every game.
The thing is Twitch has probably a 30+ sec delay between your game and their stream so you can't technically stream snipe. I found that out when I was playing survivor and wanted to watch another survivors Twitch stream after I got sacrificed and noticed there was a delay going on.

I'm 99% sure the majority of the 5 gen camper/tunnelers are just the salty survivor mains queuing as killer. It was never this prevalent to tunnel out first hook, and the one's who are doing it are obviously not great in chases.
Same kind of person who is dcing on first hook I'd imagine, they don't actually want to try to figure out the patch, they just want to ruin everyone else's time because they don't like it.
And that there is the worrying thing about the current trend.
