All loops should be higher to cover sight on both side. Where both can mind game (Ambulance loops in Badham for example).
Exactly I want some skill involved not drop pallet and Killer will automatically lose the chase because they are forced to break pallet.
Sadly that comes down to Map Design because soany pallets now are connected to another safe tile they can just pre drop and run.

You're saying this but every single one of your posts shouts "I'm not really good at killer" very loudly
The only pallets I have a issue with are the god pallets you HAVE to break. Those really shouldn't exist tbh because those are a guarantee to fully lose the chase. I like pallets you can loop on but also you can mind game on, but those like in RPD hallways or Gideon....now I don't want pallets to be weak not by a long shot because we'll...they save my bum when I play survivor.

Same here I love Vommy Mommy..I think the only Killer I don't play is Trapper because let's face it unless you play sweaty try hard as him he's just a joke

Clown....I do voices for fun and I have a character called Slash-O the Clown whenever I play clown Slash-O comes out to play....I have made players in Goose Goose Duck physically I'll because how creepy I make it sound......

Yes he is...you know how many times Leon killed me by using his dam flashbangs and blinding me and not the Killer.

What is that combo? I’m curious.
Strangely it's a yellow and grey addon.....the yellow was the one that lowers the cool down of the crows and the grey increased the killer instinct duration....the player that I saw use it was when I was playing a survivor....they got downs left and right with crows at range.
What they did was fire off 1 crow....and with the addons allowed them to chain crow hits quickly.

I’ve been maining Artist since I returned to DBD from my 2-month break and I really enjoy her. I used to play her a lot when she came out but then got bored of her after some time. I got back into her and I gotta say I really forgot how fun and rewarding she is. If you haven’t tried her I definitely recommend giving her a shot.
I love her too I learned a combo that can land you damage hits with crows easier....she's is fun and is ranked in the top 3 lookers lol

There is.....he's called Leon and his power is flashbangs.....

Their first iteration on the PTB was just fine. Remove the distance and give a 1 second endurance effect. Now, with it being 0.5 second endurance and endurance no longer triggering if you're afflicted with deep wound, it'll be largely useless. If a perk is too strong, nerfing it into oblivion is not the correct solution.
Dont blame them blame all the players that wanted to abuse and stack as many endurance effects as possible.
Dead Hard should always been about skill so I think the .5 is fine tbh.
-
All they need to do is put a small cool down on flashlights to stop macro users. Because even with Lightborn the strobe effect from macros is what is the major issue with them. I don't get sezures but I do get bad headaches if a macro flashlight is used to often against me.

Because that doesn't work
There is a reason alot of Pyramid Head players don't use the cage of attonment.... survivors can set up someone on the other side of the map and another one will cause the chase to go towards the cage...the Killer will either break chase and the Survivor is rescued or continue the chase the cage teleports and the Survivor is rescued.

More perks like BBQ? How many information perks do you want made in the game lol You have more than enough. Saying this only reinforces that it's just a behavior the community doesn't want changed (At least the killers). I myself don't have to resort to camping or tunneling. And yes, there are times i've seen it's needed. But it's most definitely not near the beginning. ANd it's most certainly not fun for the person not getting ot actually play the game.
In fact, all this does is make bad players stay playing poorly. It doesn't incentivize them going out and actually learning to play better. ie looking for scratch marks, listening to faint gen work without getting too close, looking for blood pools of injured survivors. Etc.
You do realize that there are very few reliable info perk for Killer....BBQ gives you the aura of survivors but things like PR is not as accurate or even can trigger a scream if they are running calm mind or just let go of the Gen before the hook.
And following scratch marks is not reliable on alot of outdoor maps since the marks can be covered by grass or ground cover.....same with blood drops, there have been times as survivor I ran through areas with tall grass knowing it will hide my blood or in Midwhich where your blood can mix with the environment blood on the map.
You also answered why Gen sounds are not reliable....they are faint and can be drowned out by chase music or the actual noise of the Killers, or players who might have trouble with low levels of sounds

She's been the strongest killer in the game since her release, she is so much stronger than the other killers to the point she is overpowered.
She is overpowered even without her range addons, her addons is not the only issue with Nurse.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3060564#Comment_3060564
Power role does not mean you have to be overpowered, its just wild to see people actually trying to justify Nurse being the strongest killer in the game for over 6 years.
Power role?Yes
Overpowered?No
Players that justify her are ones that took the time to learn her weaknesses and learned how to loop her.
Most players want her counter play to be like every other Killer....pre drop pallet and able to loop her for 3-4 gens.

Her power is not fine. Nurse is not a DBD character, has never been. If they want to keep her that way then fine (in fact, I'm totally okay with it, it makes her very unique) but she needs some actual drawbacks to keep her in check. She's been trivializing the entire rest of the killer cast for almost six years now, it's time for an actual revision.
She does have drawbacks and quite a few actually.

So you think if she has her range addons removed she wont be the strongest killer in the game?
She is strong and that's fine not every Killer needs to be made into trash or nuked because players don't want to learn how to deal with her

Good Nurse players dont rely on her addons to do good, just nerfing her addons wont change the fact she's the strongest killer in the game.
She needs to have her power looked at.
Her power is fine what trips people up are the addon nurses. I have escaped plenty of times from a nurse and have minor issues with it. It all depends on if they use addons like that or are a pure sweaty or GodTier Nurse. It's not hard to do when you actually know how her Blink works and interacts with the environment.

Can you proove it? I can send you even more streamers that win every game as nurse, even against experienced players.
Anyway, low tier nurses are newbies, they are dragging down her killrate, mid tier are questionable, haven't seen them in a while, however, thats not my point, my point was that most of the (mainly solo, but even some swf) good players cant compete good nurse, because how op she is
Streamers are NOT the casual player like most of us. Otz and others like Otz play DbD as their JOB and have thousand upon thousand of hours more than your average player. Using any streamer as a example is flawing any type of argument you have because your taking into consideration players who play the game as their job vs players who play the game as a past time.
Also we don't have to prove anything there are multiple people on the forums that have said and HAVE shown proof that they can beat these Nurses.....and to go to your point about camping and tunneling nurses.....I have yet to see any Nurse do that...Bubba's...Ghost Faces....even a Trapper I have seen do those things but not a Nurse

Interesting feedback with some arguments.
A lot of people with not stand it.
Telling about doubling back working against her is bound to be misunderstood.
Many players don't understand there is doubling back, but then there is also doubling back. Timing, distance of the Nurse, her hand, you head ... Everything has to be taken into account.
This failure to understand is probably why they fail.
(However, if the doubling back was consistently working against her at less that 10m, then she wasn't good. Just saying.)
Well her addons need changed and the best way would be range add-ons would have increased recharge rate while recharge add-ons would shorten the blink range. Both in equal parts so if you add both your back to basic blink

So because you don't want to learn how to counter a nurse she needs a rework.
All she needs are her addons looked at. I was once a Nerf Nurse person until I.....learned how to play her....by doing that I learned how to loop her....how to escape her....how to deal with her.
The skill level to learn how to play her is equal to the skill level how to escape her.

I think most of the July update is positive. I’m not sure why they feel the Prestige should cost any bloodpoints at all but other than that all the changes from the June update seem good to me. 👍
As to the original post
- Once they adjust the rarities of the add-ons like they said they will be doing there’s no downside at all to Prestiging other than that oddball 20k cost. So at that point there’s no reason for it to be optional either.
- I don’t care about the portraits or charms either way. 🤷♂️ I will say though I think the new charm looks decent.🙂
- Complaints about camping and tunneling are rooted more in the underlying issue which is that the game has player elimination midmatch. As a general rule player elimination can be problematic because nobody likes sitting on the sidelines while their friends keep playing a game they were in. The only way to ultimately eliminate camping and tunneling complaints would be to get rid of elimination and make it so, for instance, the killer gets one Ritual token per hook plus one token per 60 seconds a survivor spends on the hook or dying and they win if they collect 8-12 tokens. If the game hypothetically used that model there would be no perceived benefit to facecamping and no specific reason to down someone multiple times in a row to facecamp. (And this is how the official boardgame works in fact for exactly that reason). Unfortunately we’re well past the point that could happen in the video game so maybe it’d be something to think about if they ever do a sequel? 🤷♂️
Hey they do look good but I have the best charm of them all

True. At least with "buffing" solo queues they at least addressed it. So even if not this roadmap, HOPEFULLY, the next.
Yea hopefully it will be more than just the hud upgrade because that will help but won't be enough to bridge the gap imo.
-
@akaTheBARON said:
I feel that they should have focused on this sooner rather than later. This game isn't two groups, Killer and survivor. Its 4. Upper tier killers, lower tier killers, solo queue survivors, and Swfs. They nerf something for upper tier killers, its hurts killers like trapper. They nerf something for SWFs bc they're abusing it, it hurts solo queues. This is why its incredibly hard to balance the game.
I can't speak for what they should do for killers because its far more complex, so many different killers, but there is a ton of stuff they can do to buff solo queue survivors. Doing so would put the two groups that much closer together, and make it easier to balance things on the survivor side, which is great for killers too. This should have been on last year's roadmap if not before.
You have to remember for the longest time the Devs said there was noth wrong with Gen repair times and they would NEVER change it....until they actually looked at the numbers and saw that Gens were going faster than they expected.

But it’s not more skill than before. The current dead hard is .5 seconds. Dead hard in the next patch will be .5 seconds. It’s the same duration.
Old Dead Hard didn't take any skill to use because of both the distance and IFrames, so unless you only had 2 brain cells and would DH into a wall then you survived the hit and or extended the chase.
New DH only had .5 secs of endurance. That's not a very big window to get it right so survivors have to be more precise on activation.
So we will see who really are skillful or were using DH as a crutch.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
damn killers will really not stop complaining about DH, the perk could do nothing and they'd still say it was too strong :')
Tbh I'm fine with it the issue I had was the DH for distance plus IFrames.....now DH will take more skill to use .5 secs is not alot of time...even if they use it on reaction they might still get hit because of the time.

I am really glad they reduced it from 50k, but it still doesn't change the fact that there was no reason to introduce a prestige cost in the first place.
I'm glad they lowered it too and I agree with you as well that it should cost anything or at the very least 7k....what I was confused about was people still acting like it's the end of the world for 20k bp....
-
Ok I for one agree that it shouldn't cost bp to prestige now but...are we really complaining and acting like it's the end of the world over 20k bp....Unless MMR screws me with teammates or a super skilful team as Killer I can easily make at least 10k in one game. I could see if it was like 200k or a growing cost with each prestige but it's not thank goodness.

If Billy is waiting for Bob to reply before making a decision to run, that is already 2-3 seconds that Billy is not moving and the Killer can close distance. Plus, just because the killer looks like a survivor, doesn't mean they can't be smart about approaching gens.
If Billy is working on a gen in a jungle gym (where he has no LOS outside of said jungle gym) and the disguised killer turns the corner, Billy will not have time to ask Bob what his status is. The killer is already in range for a free hit.
I'm that scenario the fake would get that hit or grab but still the issue falls on after that all the other members would now make sure to call out their locations.
I want a killer like this but as long as Coms are a issue that killer would only have a one time use. More and more solos would team up into SWFs just to counter it sadly.
-
Still the argument of won't fool SWFs is still valid because you wouldn't be able to get near any member of a swf because of.....
Billy- Hey Bob Did you get your Gen done....
Bob- No I'm still working on it.
Billy- Oh that's not you it's the Killer *Runs off before fake Bob gets close"
Bob- Everyone we have a Thing call out your locations at regular intervals.
In a short amount of time the killer would lose any sort of surprise attack.
Also GF Shroud isn't that good either even without SpineChill any decent survivor will constantly be looking at their surroundings for the Killer but specifically for GF or Michel

The point of DCing at that point is because there is no point to remain if you've barely moved from the area. It's not like I was a sore loser in a SWF that DCed after getting outplayed.
Wrong there is no point of Dcing that's why we have a penalty system in place. When we didn't have it people were Dcing alot more when they faced a killer they didn't like or played on a map they hated.
Besides Dcing is hurting your team as well by removing one member of the team. Like someone said if you are dying so quickly just let it happen naturally and you won't get the penalty.

While you are correct, a Killer can also hold a game hostage if they never commit to a chase and just scare Survivors away from the Gens. At some points the Survivors have to stop hiding and try to do Gens and at some point the Killer has to commit to a chase instead of just pushing the Survivors away.
@Topic:
While it is indeed a problem that can occur when one of the sides does not want the game to end (as explained above), I dont think that you can fix anything without making it pretty unfair. Because 99% of the time it is the Survivors fault if they end up in a 3-Gen. Some Killers play on a 3-Gen, but from my experience, this happens quite rarely. And even more rare that there are actual builds to foce a 3-Gen.
Mandy has already covered that by saying a Killer protecting a 3gen and not giving chase isn't holding the game hostage because they are fulfilling thier objective to keep survivors from fixing the gens. It may be boring but I'm the end it's the Survivors fault for putting themselves into that situation

I know what u mean bro, but it simply wouldn’t work. The only viable counterplay is not get locked into a 3 gen. The killer wants the win just as much as the survivors so if they have to patrol that 3gen its only fair u know.
that being said, the other day I spectated the last 2 survs remaining, the killer was heavily patrolling the 3gen and wouldn’t commit so they decided to hide inside a locker and wait for the killer to dc….which he did
See I had that happen but I was killer and had a perfect 3 Gen as Vommy Mommy but never dced...the match lasted for a hour before the Survivors gave up and stood by hooks to be sacrificed

It matters not which map has hooks. There is a lot more hooks than there use to be after an update they did awhile back. Survivors are a TEAM. You're supposed to do what you have to to help your TEAM. It's a natural part of the game. I play a ######### ton of killer and survivor and I don't think I've EVER complained about teammates taking a hit to prevent a hook. It's a base mechanic, an achievement, there are perks to help with it even. This discussion shouldn't even be a thing. Flashlight saves are also not bm. Neither is flicking it. It's a distraction to get you to target that person. The only bm things are slugging a 4k and letting them bleedout just because you felt like it, blocking your teammates in until the killer gets them, points their teammates out, a killer blocking you in all game until endgame inevitably kills you and teabagging at pallets to show your dominance after a pallet slam. THOSE are bms.
Strange letting survivors bleed out seems all ok for me because that's not toxic behavior I'm leaving you bleed out to draw your friends in like bait.
Also yes clicky click squads is toxic especially if they are using a macro. That has been discussed about it affecting people with epilepsy from to strobing light
