@Peanits gets it as wellPeanits said:If I had eight slots, I would get really bored really fast. Limiting it to four slots makes it so you have to choose which perks you want and create a build for a specific playstyle. With eight, you can just toss on everything. There would be no build diversity, you'd be able to run all the good ones all the time. Everyone would be a hack of all trades and it would make the game feel very stale after a while.

Got home yesterday, played with friends and saw the same stuff as always, we got dodged lots of times. So i decided to become a killer main, except when my friends are available, and provide more matches to SWF.
It's really boring to wait 20 minutes for a match. -
Yeah, i meant the way game is designed right now. Same way killers can see gen's auras without a perk.AlwaysInAGoodShape said:i don't want any killer/survivor perk to be part of the base kit.
Well, this is where bias comes in. To perceive things as a perk, you must believe that they are not detrimental to the core intended gameplay.
For example, we could easily interpret teammate healing as a perk. In no way is it obvious that you should be able to heal without a med-kit and just with your bare hands, while having an infinite healing surplus available.
I doubt that you'd want this removed and it becoming a perk and that's the thing with your stance.
If teammate healing would've never been integrated in the base-kit then you would've argued against it being integrated into the base-kit since it would've been a perk.
If you want more challenging gameplay then surely you'd want this perk to be removed from the base-kit of survivors.
Or perhaps the ability to see where a survivor is hooked and their aura while being hooked. This would require you to actually track the killer as otherwise you have no clue to where the survivor is hooked and thus requiring you time to find them (making the game harder yet again). The truth is, you'd want none of the above and you are really satisfied with all the build-in perks you've got. It's just a matter of semantics.
-
I never use it, but it's a good perk.

Then I was like "hey wanna let me hook some of you guys" but then they just left!!! They took advantage of me trying to be nice and I ended with a de-pip and less bloodpoints than what I would get if i played normally. However this story has a happy ending. They were a swf so I qued up again and there they were again. So I took an ebony mori on my spirit and brought the prayer beads and fathers glasses along with Franklin's demise just in case they brought a white ward. Fun times. If you don't want that just kill them before gates are open, run blood warden, etc...This is not an attack on saving teammates. It's not about wanting more kills.
It's about how certain consequences of un-thought-out mechanics turned the killer into a nanny (killer-castration) and kill off immersion.People's mind get baked and stuck on terrible ideas after being fed poison for too long;
It's a game and i will point my ass in their direction to get a smack on my butt every time i get the chance.
Why should you be able to think of this when we are talking about a killer with a deadly-sharp weapon? Normally you'd die in 1 go? Why should you be able to point your butt anywhere?
Next Step: Aknowledgement of always being insta downed is boring.
Next Step: So make someone 2 hits?
Problem: Well then they still die within a few seconds.
Next Step: After hitting someone, the killer is slowed and the survivor is sped up so that they can gain more distance and having a second chance at a chase.
New Problem: Well, now the killer can no longer do anything when the survivor is within a certain proximity of a safe-zone and cannot create havoc against groups dancing around them.
Next Step: Dev black-out. No longer continuing on this train of issues and solutions and players get socialised with the toddler-nanny gameplay unable to imagine differently.
Punishing survivors trying to save their teammates just because you don't like being tbagged at the exit gate is not the solution. -
I agree, we need a new subforum exclusively for people who keep complaining about the same stuff over and over instead of trying to get better.

You are still asking for easier kills.
And btw... "instead survivor's should escape when they get the chance" Don't tell survivors what they should do if you don't want to be told what you should do as a killer. You make it sound like this is some sort of Survivor-Versus killer thing where I play the role of the angry killer; I'm not.
I'm tackling the issue that comes about due to certain mechanics that pussify killers and break immersion. In this particular one it's the exit-gate safezone effect.
What if survivors want to stay behind the injured one and block the killer
Yep, this is the pussified gameplay I'm talking about. When your friend is being chased by a killer, you don't point your ass in their direction to get a smack on your butt.
This is just an unintended effect that resulted from killers being stunned after hitting a survivor, so they have another chance at the chase.
If you don't want that just kill them before gates are open, run blood warden, etc... -
They can stay and not hit them if they want to waste their time, not that i care, it's just a suggestion.Rebel_Raven said:

No, you are asking for a free kill. No, what I'm asking is a system that makes survivor play the way a survivor should around a killer. When the escape gates are open, the match shouldn't turn into this safe-zone/Safe-haven ruining any immersion left in the game.
Instead survivor's should escape when they get the chance and only consider staying if someone is already caught.
After they leave, they should believe in the last survivor's ability to escape, rather than becoming this retired party-meat jumping around the map.
You are still asking for easier kills.

Survivors camp the safe zone of the gate room. Killers don't like it. Gets told to just hit them out. -

I wouldn't like that tbh, many times when me or someone else uses a BPS killer ended up camping for no reason. If they didn't do that i wouldn't mind but sucks to give extra bps to campers/hardtunnelers.
While I can see that it's no different than all the killers that cmap the moment they see a BPS offering or use on of theirs on the hopes the survivors do as well.
The campers are going to camp regardless of whether there's an offering or not.
Yeah they can still get points from BPS but at least it's only 1 offering killers can take points from.
If i get camped when using the green envelope at least i know killer won't get more bps thanks to me, that's what i meant.
Personally, if i see killers using a BPS i'll try to give them a good match (no genrush and stuff), and if i see they did bad i'll try to farm with them at the end of the match. Maybe even let them kill me if i know i got enough points to pip. -

I know you didn't do that intentionally, but there's a lot of survivors that want to.
Skill and perks shouldn't factor in since not everyone has high levels of skill, nor the arsenal of perks needed.
Also rank doesn't factor in what perks someone has which may tip the scales.
Extra bloodpoints for the abnormal spike in difficulty SWF provides really should happen.
That was a matchmaking issue, not a fair pvp between same ranks, and a problem that shouldn't have ever happened in the first place, that's why i posted it.
I totally agree that matchmaking should be fixed and not only that, if a group of swf have different ranks the highest one should be the one which counts for the matchmaking.
He clearly lacked the experience, skill, and perks to even make a dent in the difficulty you presented.
Smurfing survivors magnify the issue.
Basing things off an variable like skill, especially since SWF makes games easier for survivors and harder for killers at the same time is, well, dumb. You cannot accurately measure skill.
You should know full well by that experience that killers don't always make good bloodpoints when facing SWFs, too.
Normalizing your experience with SWFs with everyone elses is not a good thing to do. It vastly skews your point of view.
Bluntly the more you have in this game, the more out of touch you are with the issue.
If SWFs weren't a problem, we wouldn't be seeing threads complaining about them.
1 - Don't forget that both killers and survivors smurf by deranking on purpose, i know a few killers from this forum who do it.
2 - swf is a double edged sword.
When playing as a survivor, there are friends who can slow you down and make things more difficult.
When playing as a killer, i've met solo players who were tougher than swf.
3 - i can understand people complaining about certain stuff, but seriously, SERIOUSLY, most of the complaints can be solved with patience, effort and by getting better.
Note that i said "most of the complaints", by that i mean that i admit this game still needs some buffs for killers who need them the most and some other fixes, but right now this game is far from being as bad as people claim it is.
IMHO people are overreacting when it comes to swf.
I'm sure they're massive assoles, too for the most part.
But when killers depip, the survivors get something out of it. They certainly can't game the system as easily.
When survivors go for lower ranks they just screw with match making. Killers get nothing out of that.
2: lol no. SWF makes things easier. Imagine if that worse player was in a group of 4 solos?
The game is easier when the bad player is getting carried. It might slow the others down, but it's likely not enough.
3: Yeah, lets keep lvl 18 killers facing red ranks, and smurfs.
I'm sure the killers will just get better, and get those perks eventually! I mean they're rolling in bloodpoints even through that merciless ass whipping, right?
I'm sure they learn so much from people using troll tactics, and not giving them a shot in hell.
I've been seeing people in ranks that have zero business vsing me all event long. It's getting worse.
That worse player would do worse when playing solo but better players would do better without that bad survivor.
As i said, a rank 18 killer facing rank 1 survivors shouldn't be a thing.
Back to the topic: giving extra bps for playing against swf is a mistake for the reasons i estated before, like longer queues for killers. But if we were to implement it then we should give more bps to solo players facing killers with purple/pink addons or ebony moris as well because they would make the match way more difficult to solo survivors, don't you think? -

Buff aura perks for solo survivors? Sure, if they really only work for solo players. Not SWF. Which happened to be in 70% of all matches. Otherwise you'd buff SWF. Which doesn't need a buff.

GOOD swf wont be overly altrustic, in fact my swf teams we arent mega altruisitc we let people rot on hooks and rush gens, run 3 man -4 man ds's adrenalin etc and t he killer comes out with 9k-12k because the killer is at our mercy.
