    TL;DR

My meta solo build is: kindred, bond, open handed, small game. If you got a build made around information you can deal with everything else with skills. Screw DS, SB, etc..

Thats actually not a bad idea. I personally love running bond. It lets me see what is going on around me with other survivors and if they need help.

Try it out, at least kindred, bond and open handed. My 4th one is small game cause randoms dont care about noed. Way better than the typical meta build.

I wish i got survivors like you in more of my games both as killer and survivor. The meta gets stale really fast. Mixing up your build and play style is actually not half bad. Adds some variety to the gameplay for both sides.

    Thank you ^^
Information is way more powerful than anything else, somehow some survivors keep running the same """"meta""" build

  • I hate this kind of survivors.
  • I hate to link to my twitch but you can watch this match I used it with and see how useful it is.

Looks really good! What about technician? I was looking forward for these 2 perks to get buffed.

Guys we need the "survivor main btw" meme.

Vietfox that seems to be the best way and even then it feels like a 50/50.
Most survivors tend to 360 to the same direction. Once you are close enough to land a hit just wait and look which direction they take.
What works well too is to stop right before hitting them, this way they'll 360 towards you 😂
Basically pay attention and learn how each survivor works.

  • Yes, you need to get used to it. Best advise i can give is: don't try to move your camera, move left and right.
  • Where i live it's quite windy and yesterday the electricity went off because of that. Fortunately i wasn't playing DbD, that would look like a ragequit 😂
  • I think it could easily be fixed if intentionally DCing no longer meant losing pips, but instead meant losing BP. If you had zero BP at that point, now you have a negative balance.

That would be awesome, but i think most players derank by killing themselves or afking. I don't see people DCing right off the bat, only ragequits. So it would still be a problem.
Edit: well, i always go to rank 1 asap, so maybe i just stay with players who want to rank up.
  • Deranking on purpose is garbage, period.

I mean did anyone use that hook?

What the guy above me said.

Some would if they were too lazy to go down to the basement or just weren't good/confident in their gameplay. The change is good however since it was pointless to have a hook when there was 4 more permanent ones 10 meters away.

I mean i do both things, hook them in the basement or outside, depending on the situation.
Btw, so funny to hook people in the basement when playing as Leatherface. Survivors freak out and sometimes don't even go for the save because they think i'll be camping, meanwhile i'm on the other side of the map.

Is this a bug? It's not mentioned in the patch notes! If so, why would you do this?
    My soul hurts; BHVR please!

    Oh No!!!! :ohnoes:

    Surprise rework i guess.
It has to be a bug, no way devs did this on purpose 😂
Plot twist: That is the rework and they will make PSA once the PTB ended.

Basically you just need to have the area around the 3 gens trapped, commit to the chase, end it quickly thanks to well placed traps, hook and go back to the gen to kick it while placing traps on the way back (or after kicking the gen if it was close to be finished). If you run PGTW it's even better.

But what do you do if the survivors set traps off for each other? You cant commit to a chase then or you will lose the 3-gen strat.

That's why you gotta set 3 or 4 traps at "random" places where they don't expect them but easy to make a survivor to run over them.

The survivors are right next to you when you do a 3 gen strat, there is nothing like "hidden random places"

Well, the point is to trap the area when they are not there to see you doing it lol. They might see you trapping the area again later on, but situation will be under control most probably at that point.
An even if we assume they are a god tier swf group then i'll be happy with one kill, can't get 3 or 4 K every time ;)
People with skills need to be rewarded.

Ahh so were talking about 1 kill now. Yeah thats what I usually manage too when I play against some of those SWF. Fine that we came to a conclusion

Games won't take 5 minutes if you leave the hook to keep the map pressure, simple as that. Any true rank 1 killer would know that. Btw, a complete sacrifice takes 2 minutes, not 3. You do know, that i win my most games because survivors are not doing gens right? they're looking for my hex ruin or they simply do not do gens, and how does one keep map pressure if 4 gens are all 50m away from each other? If they don't do gens how come you are complaining about 5 minutes matches? Doesn't make any sense.

"how does one keep map pressure if 4 gens are all 50m away from each other?"

Certainly not by camping. Also you can keep track of the gens which were started and check them after hooking someone, use the 3 gens strat, etc..

3 Gen strat is useless, just a waste of time for both sides. If as a killer you are forced into a 3 gen strat, you already lost the game, unless there are only 2 or less survivors remaining. if there is only 2 players left, then its about skill, if the killer is able to chase 1 of them down and hook him before the other completes a gen, then killer probably wins, if not then killer probably loses(if you call 2 kill 2 escape a lose).

If more than 2 survivors are still alive:

Killer wont commit to chases too far away from those 3 gens, so survivors can just back away and heal if injured, then split between the 2 gens that have the most distance between each other, killer cant be on both places at the same time, so 1 gen will be eventually done even if you patrol between those 2.

And if he does commit to chase 1 survivor, then the others can just focus on 1 gen and finish it in no time.

Do not suggest 3 gens strat please, because it is bad unless you have already killed half of their team.

    @inkedsoulz

I'm not saying always use the 3 gens strat, killers are suposed to know when to use it.

There is NO when to use it, because its a waste of time, killer either commits to chase, or game might go on until 1 side gets bored.

My hag disagrees. I've gotten with her 4K lots of times thanks to that, and not always because survivors were boosted.

Especially as hag you have trouble against SWF. Ive played against a hag trying to do that too with a friend of mine and we managed to complete a gen too. You simply set off the trap when she runs away, either she comes back to you and chases you with 110% or she ignores you and checks the next gen. Either you can continue repairing or your friend can. It really isnt difficult against a hag. Only against nurse/billy it can become dangerous

    @Master
That's because that hag didn't know how or when to do it.
I never dodge so i've faced several swf.

But with those 1 or 3 perks you are basically making safe survivors zones useless. You gotta build around each killer and playstyle.
Right now i'm playing as Freddy at red ranks with 2 builds:
For farming: Bbq, brutal strenght, monitor and ruin
If i mean serious business: ruin, enduring, spirit fury and monitor.
I'm getting MINIMUM 2 kills per match with the farming build, plus several DCs 😂
Also, being a survivor main helps a lot when playing as a killer, i know exactly what they are going to do.
PS: quote me, otherwise i don't get any notification.
Btw @Raccoon and @PhantomMask20763 what builds do you guys use on Freddy? I'm having so much fun with these 2 builds from above.

If you don't respect the pallets chases will take less time. As a survivor i can prolong the chase thanks to killers who respect pallets.

yep someone did read the patch

Already refuted. The "downside" in no way is equal to the buff since there is no sacrifice in healing speed when you heal yourself now, while still retaining the upsides of independent healing.

A few days ago we did the same. I was playing with a friend, got camped in the basement by Billy and we genrushed. Before escaping i went to the basement to pick up his flashlight, Billy followed me downstairs and managed to get out of the basement and escape with the flashlight by 360ing him. I bet that Billy is still raging, that was quite humiliating :)

All that matters is people vs SWF, eh? Screw the casuals. They get bullied. Especially the low rank ones who generally have the bigger target on their backs. The ones SWF take advantage of matchmaking to get. Might even depip to smurf outright.

And I haven't forgotten what your buddy Vietfox, and his homies did to that leatherface.

If that's indicative of how he SWFs, he's the reason people dodge, bluntly. He bullied the LF into scoring less than 10k points and everyone in the group got near max points, IIRC.

If you're part of the SWF that plays like that, you're closer to being part of the problem than not.

SWFs play toxic, and wonder why people dodge them? Really? Or get mad they get dodged? Really? Or stomp the everloving hell out of people mercilessly every chance they get, and wonder why they're resented?

    @Rebel_Raven
Wait what? We were all rank 1-2, not a single one was a deranker and it was a matchmaking issue.
That leatherface barely got bloodpoints because he was simply a legit rank 18 killer, not because we bullied him.
Last but not least, there are casual players on BOTH sides who get rekt, and we could say the same about derankers. It's not like only survivors do it...
    Here's the screenshot:

Never stopped to wonder why the LF was performing that badly. Just had to have your fun, and I still have to wonder how often you'll take advantage of someone like that.
Didn't you also, with a pal, troll someone running TOTH?

You don't really score that high without doing really well. Killers don't do that badly unless they got royally reamed. Put those together and what am I supposed to think?

Yeah, it was a match making issue, but if you generally play that way against anyone?

Yeah, both depip, but here's the thing about killers depipping, not that I condone it, Survivors pretty much always benefit. At least marginally. They get to escape. They get points.
Survivors get to SWF and get matched with people they have no business being in a trial with. Killers don't benefit.
Ran across a thread about survivors taking a killer to task, then DCing at the end to make sure the killer suffers while they depip.

    @Rebel_Raven
Honestly i thought killer was using the LF splinter offering so he didn't know how to use him, not that he was a rank 18 killer, especially since we were all high ranks.

I don't understand, should i play not as optimal as i usually do just because killers are not so good at doing their job?

About "trolling" the killer running TOTH... It's called tactics. Killer wants to protect the totem at all costs? I'll make sure 2 repair gens while the other 2 distract the killer by tapping the totem.
  • All that matters is people vs SWF, eh?

    @Rebel_Raven

    By not dodging them.
how is that in any way helpful?
They expect you to keep playing SWFs blindly, and take the abuse until you "git gud" enough to beat them.

I mean, I can see their point, but on the other hand, if a person plays casually, or doesn't have an SWF killer loadout ready, or some such, there is absolutely no reason to buy into that advice and have a miserable time.
Don't get me wrong. Basically if you aren't some hard core gamer, play this game a shitton, are casual, etc. It is some of the most useless advice ever. Odds are good that line of thought is wasted on them.

Either that or they're just desperate to have people vs them without owning up to why they get dodged, and keep wanting to make excuses and live in denial.
Nice try. I play both sides. Don't try to call me a survivor main because @Vietfox and HeroLives can confirm I play both. It's true what I said. The more you practice, the better you will get, as with everything else in life.

I personally use impossible Skillcheck Doctor or Spirit to combat SWF and it works 98% of the time for me. It obviously won't be everyone else's cup of tea, but I like it.
    Yeah can confirm that.
I also play both and get to rank 1 every month. Almost at rank 1 with console nurse btw :)
  • @Vietfox enjoy some of my many memes from my dbd meme collection :) oh and what you think of my list as well
    I did enjoy them lol.
I kinda agree with the list, but i think the trapper should be on a higher  position. If played correctly the trapper can be annoying and quite effective as a killer.
  • I'm more a FengMin person myself

    But I'd make some bass with Kate still ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Me too, but i gotta admit Kate's butt is better.

Currently on the PTB; Freddy's M2 now slows him down to 101% at the end of the speed curve.
Is this a bug? It's not mentioned in the patch notes! If so, why would you do this?
    My soul hurts; BHVR please!

    Oh No!!!! :ohnoes:

    Surprise rework i guess.
It has to be a bug, no way devs did this on purpose 😂

There s nothing wrong with camping its part of a game and survivors need to adapt how to react / counter camping

I'm just making fun of the excuses.

I've taken a break from Nurse and i've been playing as Freddy. I think i'm gonna main him after i reach rank 1 with the console nurse, i'm having so much fun with him!
  • NO

be mercifull with legion, the least thing he needs right now is another nerf

This is not how games work. Only intended features can be buffed or nerfed, the moonwalking legion is an exploit  thus can't be buffed or nerfed.
  • WHY ARE WE YELLING!? WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!?
    CALM DOWN FFS!

  • Have u ever tried to gentap? It's slow as hell.
If a survivor needs to repair a gen by doing that don't worry, they'll be easy to catch.
