    "stealth based Legion"

LMFAO WHAT? Legion is good for injuring multiple survivors and then getting looped by one survivor over and over because all he can do is M1 at that point. Wraith is good at ambushing one survivor at a time..

Your post is like saying "Wraith is a stealth based Trapper without bear traps" ... lol

In terms of getting a easy first hit and using their power to go up to your butt cheeks and cancel power for a minor slowdown on top of you and go for the next hit. Legion has the stun animation while Wraith simply has a slowdown followed by a speed boost.

    @DBD78 said:

Wraith moved up to C tier at best. Still needs a buff.

Absolutely not. I play Wraith when I don't want to try. But now I'll feel dirty playing him since he has no business being very strong with how simple he is.

  • Nah, you guys will see once Wraith starts to get more attention by the masses looking for a new main after Freddy's nerfs go live. He's like Legion for his first hit (there are plenty of add-ons to mask the bell direction, proximity, and even silence it) then just has to stealth up your butt cheeks for the next hit. Or do hit and runs. Either way will work.

  • I'm at nineteen 4K, thirteen 3K, four 2K, eight 1K, and six 0K. That's before his buffs minus a couple 4K and 3Ks and not counting my games going for Adept since I was handicapping myself with perks. People under estimate him, but he does struggle hard at tall loops. (dang haybales)

There are some people popping up saying they hate playing against him and wanting him altered. But seeing as he had a very vocal hate base from the get go "OMG HE RUINING DBD KPOP BAD"... I wouldn't be shocked if some complain about him no matter what.

  • It's a strange map since Survivors really only have the pallet spam, which is now very hefty. Otherwise the small size of it and the lay out favors Killers for the most part. Nurse and Spirit can easily patrol while Doc and Legion love everyone being bunched up.

I know it really feels like it could use a pallet nerf, but I question if that would just sky rocket it back to being so killer sided that Survivors may as well suicide.

  • It's a small minority of people who just want to complain that even go there really. He works well, his story is good, and everything is a cohesive package. It's not just him that has gotten whined about either.

Legion is 4 edgy teens wearing paper plates causing mischief. Pig is some drug addict wearing a impractical and frankly counter productive Pig mask while grunting like she is role playing a Pig. Charlotte is a distant relative of Shrek and has a boob gremlin. Deathslinger (the name, lol) is some Western character who took a wrong turn. Spirit is a Asian school girl moaning and groaning as she runs around naked... I mean what? Huntress is from the snu snu Futurama episode. Freddy is some tiny man wearing a ugly xmas sweater and a fedora. Who dressed that man? Speaking of man... Myers is a man with a mask like GF is a man with mask like how LF is man with a mask or how Legion is teengers wearing a mask like how Pig is a woman wearing a mask just like Huntress is wearing a mask with Trapper being one of the original people wearing a mask in this game. M-A-S-K. Clown looks like he'd fall over from exhaustion after walking two steps and require a Entity scooter to get around the map... also Homer sounds. PH is some super built and good looking man with some weird shaped thing on his head and a knife that is more cartoony than Tom & Jerry.

You can literally tear down every single Killer design if you want to be a party pooper.

  • I mean I guess, but you're also running a reworked perk slot for NOED basically. Cause the old Small Game already helped with Ruin, Undying, DH, etc.

  • @SteepOrpheus710 said:

I think that they shouldn’t punish the player for successfully downing survivor with pounce. I feel like it would make more sense for them to increase it if you miss pounce. That way it rewards skillfully playing the twin. Honestly I hope the pounce change don’t come to the live servers.

Most Victors are basically inserted into your ankles before they leap. I love my longer ranged raptor pounces when I play him, but let's not pretend most Twins and the the most effective pounce is basically going to hit 100% of the time cause he is practically under your feet already.

Not saying I agree with the nerf though.

  • There's a source. Someone asked about the Trickster buffs missing on Twitter and they replied those are included in the PTB, but they are being shipped Wednesday in a hotfix alongside pallet fixes.

I really hope they fix his Chaser Emblem. Love the dude, but I really don't want to play him as only M1 to get his adept. I like his knives...

If dead hard is trash, then why do most survivor players run the perk?

Have you seen Survivor perks? Most of them are complete poop. Not that DH is bad. But I mean... Killer mains not going to be happy till Deja Vu is meta cause everything else does nothing?

  • I don't think we will get chase themes to be honest. Wraith didn't get one with his rework, so I'm doubting Huntress will get her's.

  • Really don't get the radius decreasing for each totem cleansed. Someone is already sacrificing a perk slot purely on bone munching.

  • Hag and Trapper have to stop and set their trap while Clown has to aim and has limited ammo count. Freddy needs a kick in the groin cause his traps were as thoughtless as his entire kit. He's not as easy as Wraith or Bubba, but his reward for how easy he is to play was so lop sided it'd make your head tilt.

Firstly, playing against Oni is a lot of fun.

Secondly, please explain how this nerfs stealth killers because that's actually hilarious. Borrowed Time counters proxy campers and nothing else. Stealth killers could get around that by not having a terror radius which is especially ridiculous on Killers like Freddy. Now you can't do that. It doesn't nerf stealth killers, it nerfs campers.

All these people saying "enjoy playing X killer all the time now" like I don't already see people abusing Nurse and Spirit. If you're playing a stealth killer for the sole purpose of abusing how it interacts with BT, you're already not fun to play against. So sure, go play Spirit. Nobody cares. You're obviously going to camp either way, what difference does it make? I'll have just as much fun playing against a Spirit as I will a Ghost Face who's just proxy camping stealthed in a corner waiting for someone to unhook in front of them. Your arguments make no sense.

I was deeply puzzled by their Oni comment. He's one of the best designed Killers in the game. Somehow stealth killers not being able to camp is going to ruin the game for everyone cause stealth camping has been nerfed and Oni might be more used more?!? Sounds like a win to me.

  • I'm not super attached to any of them, but I do like putting the David figure on Felix and putting on the ugly sweater so David gets booped around Felix's front side.

  • I'd rather a third color be added with some effect.

    Then a 4th.

    And a 5th.

    Followed by a 6th.

I just want to make Rainbow clouds.

  • A handful. I've probably faced on estimate 3-4 Frank, 2-3 Susie, 1 Joey, and 1-2 Julie. Franks are always the best. Susies are always sweaty, immature, and butthurt. Joeys are always awful at the game. And Julie exists. It seems to carry over in rabbit form as well, had a bunny Frank spare me when a Cheryl intentionally body blocked me.

  • She'd probably still be one of the most played cause waifu culture.

Nobody is saying it should’ve stayed. People are saying it should be more effective at what it is meant to do.

Make it work on both hook stages. If you tunnel on both stages you should be punished again

    This.

Also just make an Obsession every match. Not seeing the spider legs means free tunneling.

  • I do wonder how much salt a Killer main has to have inside themselves to the point that they post almost daily troll threads under the guise of a Survivor main.

  • Blight isn't fun. It's just the hivemind of this forum has taken to that outlook. He's nowhere near as brainless to use as Freddy or Spirit while not being as busted as Nurse. But good Blights especially on maps that favor him like Shelter Woods is not enjoyable to face. Not saying I want him nerfed, but the forum has recently taken a Golden Child outlook on him lately that I don't quite agree with.

  • Rank 1-5

    Trickster

Love his design, animations, and personality. I enjoy the pew pew of his knives as well.

Caged Heart Shoes, Melodious Murder, and Trick Blades. Shoes to help not lose as much ground, Melodious to help down faster, and Blades cause they're fun and can get you some satisfying dinks on the Survivors.

  • 1) Felix didn't do nothing though, he progressed three generators up. If you played like a normal person, the game would of progressed.

    2) You used a bug to gain a unfair advantage over the other side with the hatch. Instead of finishing Kate and shutting the hatch, you demanded Felix had to be hooked beforehand? Why? Pointless. Blight is high mobility and could prevent a exit escape easily.

    3) The game wasn't held hostage by either side technically though. All three players took their own parts in unnatural gameplay.

    4) You technically did break a rule however. You intentionally attempted to work with the Kate against the Felix. This is reportable and against the rules.

  • This is kind of hilarious in the grand scheme of things. Killers constantly complain about the Survivor meta perks. One of them gets a pretty hefty nerf to combat how it could be abused instead of used for it's actual purpose. However, it's actual purpose is so weak that it's dropped in usage pretty dramatically. So now Killers abuse what the perk was meant to combat especially when there is a visual indicator the perk isn't in the match, and they claim Survivors should just run that perk every game. Which this would again make it a meta perk.

I don't even run meta perks besides IW (screw Spirit) and BT. (screw campers) And even they get kicked out here and there.

Make DS multiple uses (2 basically), give the Survivor a speed boost or instant heal or longer stun on the killer, and make it so every match has a obsession.

  • I'm curious if they are enough (or the right buffs) to make him viable, but I'm happy he is getting buffs sooner rather than later. I do hope they fix his chaser emblem not counting downs with his knives as well.

I wonder how bad Caged Heart Shoes will get nerfed. They were honestly one I stocked up on and one of my personal faves since they weren't rare and felt good on him. Melodious Murder and Trick Blades were my other two picks, but they're rarer and not as easy to use every match.

  • Pig could just be part of the concept work, don't expect it or you guys will just have another dozen threads to make and complain about later. If it's there, then rejoice. But don't expect it...

  • Amazing, love it. Love pretty much everything about it and look forward to Trickster buffs.

  • I understand the concern that his power cannot be buffed if he is made faster, but I also think how slow he moves is part of why his power is so weak. You start throwing blades and they gain distance on you pretty fast if they decide to run for it. Then they run somewhere you can't really use your blades effective and the laceration goes down by the time you get there.

Personally I could giving him bouncing blades, faster movement speed, laceration not going down in chase or just slower, and Showstopper being held onto till he uses it instead of some time limited thing.

  • toymaker.jpg

I found this one pretty amazing. Too bad they probably won't pick it cause they seem to not want Victor skins and they'll probably pick characters who have a large player base... which isn't Twins.

  • vs.png

Trickster and Oni are free to stomp me and get a thank you.

Wraith, Huntress, Ghostface, and PH can be good times mostly.

Twins, Trapper, Clown, Demo, Deathslinger, and Myers are more mediocre but with some good moments.

Hillbilly, Legion, Pig, and Nurse aren't what I prefer, but it still feels salvageable at times.

Hag, Blight, Doctor, and Bubba are ones where I feel the urge to try for the self unhook... and if it fails... good.

Spirit, Freddy, and Plague... these ones are straight up horrendous, nothing enjoyable and by far some of the worst designs. Blech.

  • Absolutely not. The killer with the biggest anti-stealth and plenty of gimmicks doesn't need one shots.

  • @JimbusCrimbus said:

Survivors complain about everything. Not just NOED, and not just on Trickster.

They can bring whatever they want and nobody says anything. Killer does the same? Scummy.

    https://clips.twitch.tv/AmericanClumsyBadgerBabyRage-lGXxhqbl76WUPTrG

Map offerings, keys, friends, flashlights, med kits, DS, BT, DH, Claudette, IW, Neon Outfits, Twitch Names, Unbreakable, Adrenaline, Sabotage, Body Blocking, Instant Heals, BNPs, MoM, gen rushing, breaking totems, not breaking totems, hiding, looping, greeding pallets, 99% gates, waiting at gates, teabagging, nodding, pointing, farming, OoO, SB, Prove Thyself, SC, UE, not being scared, and I'm sure there is A LOT more stuff the killers cry about as well that I'm forgetting off the top of my head.

    Both sides complain.

  • All I remember of it was that I was Dwight and got found, downed, and hooked in the basement in what felt like 20 seconds against Wraith. That was the end of my first match as I attempted to unhook myself.

It was a pretty terrible experience.

  • Knives bounce on base kit, add on can be +1 bounce. It's fun and helps him in loops or around tall obstacles.

Base Movement speed increased. He struggles with map pressure and his slower speed + slowdown when throwing knives makes him lose ground way too fast.

Laceration meter takes way longer to start decreasing, being outside of chase for extended time will make it start decreasing faster.

Main Event when earned is saved and can be activated on demand. It's honestly not that amazing to begin with, and the current use or lose aspect usually comes up when you can't use it anyway.

  • I've had some unfortunate luck my self. My Wraith for a very long time had 0 gen slow down perks. He got Overcharge eventually to help out. My Trickster got all kinds of good builds on his first path to 50, but I didn't get the best stuff after the Prestige process... Monstrous Shrine, Insidious, Zanshin Tactics, Hangman's Trick, Iron Grasp, and all that other garbage.

  • I do. Sometimes I feel silly to do so since it can turn into a super long game. Then there's times where I regret it. Some Feng or Meg that was frustrating and sabotaging the team with her failures (miss skill checks on healing) was given the hatch by the Killer when she brought both a key and a Haddonfield offering. LIKE REALLY, YOU SPARE HER?!?

Though I also left a Nea to bleed out once cause she was more harm to the team than good when it came down to just her and me. The killer didn't like this and let me bleed out as well. But was I really obligated to save her horrible performance in what is obviously the 4K slug bait tactic for the sweat lords? Nope.

  • The map is likely to get altered when they do it's remodel. For now, it's a map you just got to accept you might get stomped on. Twins and Trickster can really struggle with those 2nd story loops. Victor cause he can't follow through the windows and Trickster cause he is slower and needs longer line of sight for his power which is loss weaving in rooms and out the window.

Though Hag works well there, it's tiny and survivor paths are pretty limited and easy to trap.

  • It's fine for the most part, but it works so well and easily with Spirit, Freddy, and Nurse that it's annoying at times.

  • Hopefully they give him a couple solid buffs. Movement speed, bouncing blades, laceration taking longer to fade or it not fading in chase, and Showstopper being on command once earned would all be VERY welcomed for him.

  • howfyun.png

I tried to let some bias go for some trash killers like Spirit and Freddy when making this.

S Tier - Trickster is a lot of fun, landing those blades is addicting and hearing him giggle as I land that last knife is a chef's kiss. I love pouncing people with the little imp as I leap around like some tiny raptor. Landing them hatchets is also satisfying... even if the hits can be question at times. The humming can get a bit old.

A Tier - I really enjoy Oni, but there's cases where I get hard looped at the start and don't get to stomp around and smash at Sonic speeds. He's easily S tier in most matches, but I sometimes get those matches where getting my early game blood orbs cost me way too much. Ghostface and Wraith are my sneaky boy picks. Hag is my old main and I play her hyper aggressive and not hook defensive, but she is too easy now to 4K. Doctor is lots of fun even if he is extremely annoying to face.

B Tier - Clown has always been kind of fun to me. Deathslinger is cool to land some shots, but usually I don't get enough pressure to slow gens enough. PH is interesting and enjoyable but nothing spectacular. Trapper can be fun if things snowball in your favor. Another sneaky boy, I enjoy the T1 Myers build.

C Tier - Freddy and Spirit being pretty much no skill with huge pay off characters makes them fun to play, but I feel guilty playing them. Bubba is too simple for my tastes. Legion used to be one I picked up some, but I just typically don't enjoy them anymore. Pig died to Ghost Face, the superior sneaky sneaker.

D Tier - Never had interest learning the S+ tier Killer, her fatigue annoys me anyways. Despite people claiming they do well with Demo, I never do well with Demo. I'm not sure I really ever enjoy Plague matches... as or against her. Love the theme though. Billy is easier to play than Nurse, but my performance on him begs to differ. Not really bothered to learn him when Oni is superior design.

F Tier - Oh Blight, I cannot play him. I find him frustrating to play as and against. Smashing into stuff also disorientates me way too much. He's just not meant for me, but I respect his kit and play style more so than others. (Freddy, Bubba, Spirit, Plague, and Legion)

  • Well we did get a heavy greaser theme without a single male getting a skin for it. The devs know females sell more, so I don't blame them. At least Felix and Adam got some good stuff recently. Maybe a piece of Dwight's is salvageable, the top is a huge "NO" though,

  • Oni and Trickster are my favorites, they're theatrical and fit into the character's lore.

Least favorites would be Pig and Twins, both are bland and predictable while not having the original excuse that Wraith and Trapper have.

  • @papichulo said:

Claudette is a decent survivor but surely is not the best. Her perks can only be useful when your playing with your friends but in a solo match would be useless. Her self-care is a great waste of time as well; a brown med-kit heals a survivor faster than self care. She is a survivor that really is only used because of her looks, cosmetics, etc. and does not rely on her perks to save her. You have claudette all wrong however. Despite some can be annoying, some others are not. Lot's of people hate her but thats because they are used by the toxic people. True Claudettes are sweet and come to think about it every survivor is being controlled and the person controlling them has the ability to be sweet or toxic. please no hate on any survivors. =)

People say Self Care is bad, but I used it today for a bit with Botany Knowledge and a medkit for quick heals on myself. As a solo player, it's not always easy to get heals and having everyone injured can easily go bad... especially against Twins.

  • For me, it's the Nancys. As allies they rush over to your gen or to heal you and precede to blow skill checks. They then crouch walk away leaving you with the killer. Once you're hooked, she is there waiting around the corner after sprinting over as they hooked you to be quickly found and injured cause who knew scratch marks were a thing. Don't worry, she'll get you off the hook before she goes down but without BT... so now you're down as well.

As enemies, they flashlight click and try to lead you to the strongest loops. Anywhere else and she's quickly downed. If you kill her or one of her friends, she will spam you in post game chat about how trash you are. Even her own friends keep quiet as she makes a fool of herself and tells you to join her or her's friend's twitch channel so she can berate you more.

    Trickster you just throw knives

Freddy you have sleep, his lullaby, fake pallets, blood pools, etc

Spirit you have her whooshing noise, phasing, her post phase lunge, cant see survivors or blood, etc. She probably shouldn't be labeled Hard but she's more complex than Trickster

Sleep and lullaby are passive. His only active abilities is the pool or the pallets that are instant spawns with no set up time and his on demand teleport. There is nothing difficulty about his kit in the slightest. He deserves to be Easy. (and over loaded)

Whooshing noise and phasing? Neither of those matter to the player. A lunge is basic to all killers. The only aspect is not seeing survivors or their blood when using her power. She deserves to be Intermediate simply cause new players will struggle with not seeing the Survivors.

Trickster takes consistent aim and knowing whether to use your knives or bats while being slower than most killers. It's very easy to waste your time using the wrong weapon at the wrong time or missing some blades resulting in regression. He deserves to be Intermediate.

  • @Moundshroud said:

The Trickster still has a long month of playtesting before we can really get a good feel for him. What I will say is that each day the Tricksters people face have been getting more and more accurate with those knives. The first day or so the Trickster was lucky to get a kill. Then I started seeing 2+ and today I saw multiple Tricksters 4K and they were using the knives, not just running around M1.

The Trickster is, in a way, a lot like the Nurse. He stinks until you pass some invisible line and get around his learning curve. Then he seems to be more than functional. If he keeps improving at the rate we are seeing, by the end of the month people will be asking for nerfs. I'm not joking, nor am I making a final assessment. I am merely reporting on what I've been seeing, and unfortunately experiencing first hand.

The Trickster is definitely mislabeled as "easy" when he is most certainly not.

His "Easy" label tilts me while Spirit and Freddy are listed as Hard.

  • I strongly disagree with the corn maps. Most of the debris and scenery is high enough to block his knives. You end up cutting up hay more than anything else. Yes if you catch them out in the middle of the corn, you can slice them up. But anywhere else is M1.

  • @GeneralV said:

Not sure about the others, but I can answer for my main. Freddy is rated "Hard" because the difficulty ratings were introduced together with Patch 1.9.2 back in 2018, which was prior to his rework.

Even then most of his power was a passive. You had to click to put people to sleep. The end.

  • Honestly I'd put 0 thought into those ratings. Trickster is Easy while Freddy and Spirit are Hard. Also Legion is Intermediate, the same difficulty as Huntress.

  • I went against one the other night! It was obnoxious.

Could of been the same guy. I escaped by a miracle's chance after a very, very long game.
