  • Size manipulation could be interesting. Maybe a Magician who could shrink down players for a certain time, during this time they are faster but can't vault/throw pallets and can't do gens. He'd be able to one shot them when tiny or leave them them small to focus other threats. Heck maybe even other players trampling over them would injure them, so they'd have to be careful not just of the Magician but the other Survivors to till it wears off or cured. I'm thinking the cures would be potions littered on the map, you'd have to "drink" from over turned bottles to be cured, with the increased speed it'd help make it not too tedious though maybe have it where they have to drink from 2 or 3 to be cured to force map movement. Obviously he could only have so many tiny at a time. Maybe give him locker teleport as well with lights and confetti coming from all lockers till he bursts out of the one he choose with some doves flying out.

  • I tend to ignore what they are. One of my first runs ins was against a medium level popularity one that slugged and camped everyone with multiple streamers burned and acted all holier than thou cause they had X amount of people viewing them. Gross. Not sure why people enjoy watching someone with thousands of hours slaughter new players and make their match miserable.

  • Remember in that one FMA or FMAB (?) episode where Jean imagines what Armstrong's sister must look like? Was Armstrong in a wig and dress running towards him in a galloping manner? That for Nemesis. Amination already matches.

  • I ended up in that spot once. I took it in for a few moments as the killer swung 2-3 times then left. If they are the last Survivor left and wait till last second to leave... it's on par with leaving someone slugged to bleed out as the last one(s). Very rude and petty, but not reportable.

  • Nah. Killers now stomp casual SWFs for the most part. Solos are mostly doomed to die with here and there times where all 4 Survivors are solid and the Killer isn't. Killers aren't nearly as weak as the hivemind likes to pretend on here.

Nemesis is the first killer since the Blight that actually has a lot of people interested in playing them, so that's probably a factor.

I think that the console issues can't be ignored either. There's a lot of people I know who play console and who mainly play survivor who've tossed in the towel and just aren't playing right now. I'd be curious as to how many console players have been chased away from the game since the RE launch and how that might be affecting queue times on both ends.

For me, I've been playing a lot of solo survivor with shorter waits than normal (and doing so with great success -- 6 rounds and 5 escapes over the last day, but my solo experiences have actually been continuously good overall). My killer queues were still almost instant during peak hours two days ago (while my SWF survivor queues were shorter than normal, but still required a little bit of a wait), so while I think it's being affected during the day, peak times in my region (NA) haven't changed all that much.

Blight had like 0 hype between his lackluster design, boring sounding power for such a lore heavy character, buggy power, and his super low POV. Things have changed for the better for him, but he was deader than Trickster and Nemesis for sure on release and the weeks that followed. Trickster had a lot of hype, controversy, and thirst going on that kept him going for a bit before people realized he took more effort for less reward. Twins was the quietest release and it didn't help there were game breaking bugs for the Twins like Victor getting stuck in the ground or getting stuck switching between them to be frozen idle.

My least favorite of this batch is still Blight. He's such a underwhelming design only being carried by being ridiculously OP on certain maps (Shelter Woods... yuck) and strong on most others.

As for the main topic, I realized this when I went in as Killer and waited awhile to load into a key lobby as Trickster. I decided "Nah, not on my pretty boy" and switched to Survivor for instant lobbies. It's good though, I can kill off some of these Survivor challenges I've neglected if the rage of being a solo player with potato allies and super sweaty killers doesn't get me to hop off again. Also the console players getting disconnected and turning matches into 3 or 2 man matches that the Killer still plays like a esports match is also very... aggravating.

  • Maybe the 8 of 9 Three or Four kill matches is actually the bigger issue. Killer mains seem to forget 3K or 4K isn't supposed to be the normal outcome.

  • I played her before it was cool. Her and Victor were my mains before Trickster came for my gay heart. Though I still love the high stakes raptor pounces where you long distance jockey some poor Survivor or get stomped into submission.

I main him. I find him really fun but I think Main Event being useless is what really holds him back, most of the time people can just run around a tall object like a rock or edge tile and you can't keep up to hit them, but when it works it shreds... If they expanded on Main Event and kept everything else about him the same I'd be very happy with him.

Ya Main Event feels like a trap. There's times I use it to shred a player or two, but it's more common for me to use it since it's up... and it makes the chase worse cause they found something tall to hide behind as I pelt this tall object with enough blades it should look like a cactus.

  • I love his lore, personality, looks, and most of his gameplay. I do pretty well with him given his reputation, but I do struggle on large maps due to his slow speed and slower down time if things drag out as well as maps with lots of tall obstacles like the Corn maps. Those haybales and equipment eat your blades.

  • I didn't even bother putting the charm on my Survivors till today. Probably for the best cause I been against the sewage tank of Killer players with some of the dumbest allies ever.

I did teabag a Chris getting mori'd by GF then tried to get mori'd on top of him. GF didn't approve of the sandwich and left me to bleed out. Rude asf.

My Trickster been rocking it though, ain't like people can punish me on Killer for having it on.

  • Spirit. Struggling on 1st hook then playing on your phone during the struggle phase feels about the same as actually facing her.

  • Err, not sure I'm that worried about a Nurse main being upset that some Survivors are playing in a way they find more effective is less fun for the Nurse main. I mean... you're just as guilty as them.

  • I'm on PC and one Nemesis spanked me with his tentacle and Jake decided that was too far and left the match. Nea's torture realm is one thing, but tentacles is another. Jake filed a crash report to me and kicked me to desktop.

Also vaulted a window in the Doc's map 2nd floor and got all control taken from me. Couldn't move, wiggle, struggle, etc.

  • @aroell said:

Most people here are killer mains, they end up getting a 3k instead of a 4K then the come here and cry.

This x1000. If I can play Trickster at red ranks and win most my matches (there are some hard losses though, Mother's Dwelling's hugeness is rough for that slow KPOP man) in Red Ranks... I really don't know if these people are just salty when they don't 4K constant which some on here admitted that is the only WIN for them or they are just really.... really bad.

  • Meh, maybe cause the Killer Rates indicate even with the dramatically short gen times and seal SWF teams that bully on the poor, hopeless Killer mains on here... most matches are instead stomp fests?

Also being tunneled and camped out of the match means you didn't even likely get to play for most of the match. Killers are never taken out of the match. It's a very obvious and simple difference Killer mains are oblivious to. Even if I'm being rushed... I can still chase, move around, attack, etc. If Bubba is standing at the hook waiting to down me or Hag has fortified my hook with traps... there really isn't anything for me to do but stare at ally auras and see the Killer checking on the hook every 3 seconds.

  • Agreed. I enjoy their take on horror characters more than the Licenses. I do think Myers, Ghostface, Pyramid Head, Demogorgon, and Nemesis are decent additions overall though. I still think Nemesis and Pyramid Head look goofy as heck though. I love them though for it, but I do laugh at those saying Trickster looks goofy when they worship the guy with a sword so cartoony huge it wouldn't even look right in a cartoon and the Saturday Morning co-star Dark Lord Nemesis from the hit cartoon The Crazy Adventures of Space Cowboy Jake.

Freddy is a train wreck. Terrible killer in both designs. Pedophile, the character, is also very questionable to be in the game. Quentin was also a very strange one. I get they didn't have access to his looks, but that doesn't mean they needed to turn him into a monster.

Pig and Tapp are bland and underwhelming... in both the series they come from and DBD.

Bubba is just the Nea of Killers, most of their mains could be banned to make the player base healthier.

Oni, Huntress, Trickster, Doctor, etc. are all more interesting to me. But there are misses in originals to. Clown could of been a lot more than asthmatic drunk throwing fart bottles, Legion is pretty underwhelming and forgettable, Nurse breaks the game, and Plague if every strong would be super obnoxious to face.

  • Can make a incredible and thrilling save here and there.

95% of the time it won't do anything.

Glad I'm not the only one who feels this way. I normally don't get this angry, but I had enough when an injured Kate pointed at me and t bagged me on hook until I died.

Just had a match where one Survivor got tilted cause I finished the Gen instead of saving them (they had plenty of time on the hook stage and got unhooked with time to spare) so she followed me around for the rest of her life making sound notifications for the Killer. Killer took the bait to and played like his dang manhood was on the line while a whooping 2 gens got done during the entire match with one Survivor throwing the match.

My hate for both side's player base grows.

  • I haven't bought the chapter yet, and I decided to not play Killer since most people want to face him right now. So as a purely Survivor game play stand point... I've seen him 12-15 times. He's probably in about 1/3 of the matches. I saw more Tricksters, less Twins during their respected releases.

Part of me thinks most hardcore Killer players have their mains they consistently 4K on, so they cringe and run back to their main when they struggle with a new Killer with less perks unlocked and new mechanics and style to learn.

  • All Kill was far superior and would easily crush this chapter if it had a map of it's own. Yep, my hot take.

Nemesis looks goofy for all the talk about Trickster looking out of place as well. He looks like he could star in some Saturday morning space cartoon alongside Space Cowboy Jake. I like it though, but I find it funny Trickster was "too different" and now we got this big goofy star lord looking guy splattering blue space goo glitter on Survivors.

    Leon is cute though. <3

i'll have to buy and see more of him before I have a final response. I'm just a little jaded All Star got some extreme hate and it was better executed than this chapter with the Killer looking more in line with the cast than Nemesis. It also didn't break the game nearly as bad. We all just need to remember that at least any chapter released isn't Darkness Among Us.

  • Tonight was a painful solo Survivor night, I feel you. Got body blocked intentionally in one match, about 3 matches where someone got hooked and next thing I know the other two are downed trying to hook bomb or just really bad plays I got to watch with Kindred, one match with someone hugging the edge of the map, gens not getting done or painfully slow at getting done, etc.

Though the Killers aren't making it much better. Seemed like 4/5 proxy camped with a couple multi slugging at 5 gens. Not sure what's fun about loading into a match and it's over faster than the lobby and loading screen. Eww.

  • As Trickster I typically don't got to camp or tunnel to perform well in a match. And rage isn't common in my post game chats, even while I was maining the Twins or Hag. I feel tunneling and camping (especially with S or A tier Killers) is the equivalent to SWF with comms and meta perks in ways, both are crutches that carry players that aren't as good as they think they are.

  • I got spanked by one and bug splatted right after, so it's not only Nemesis that can be booted from the match.

  • Bubba is the cesspool of Killers like Nea is for Survivors. Nobody wants them in their match.

  • Oh I remember the old Frank stabbed me and now is going to just follow loosely behind me, so that I go down no matter what I do cause I can't stop to mend and I'm on a timer that goes down nonstop. Legion was a mess.

  • Eww Pig.

Could only be abused for so long for every Killer since crushing noobs will shoot your MMR up.

  • @SleepyWillo said:

Killer sweat is based on the person playing, not time. The killers that tunnel off the hook at 5 gens will do it even if gens took 30mins each. They see something that gives an easy win and go for it. On all the posts complaining about camping and tunnelling I've never seen someone complain about it happening at endgame (or close to).

Strategically advantageous to make a 4v1 a 3v1 at the start of the game? yes. still a dick move? absolutely.

    This.

LOL @ those saying a second objective would stop camping, tunneling, and sweating from Killers. That's ridiculous and straight up incorrect.

  • Weirdly I was getting instant Twins lobbies, but now I'm stuck waiting when I changed Killers.

Spirit I understand but how does Wraith require little effort when he has next to no chasing power? If you mean little effort to stealth that kinda makes sense? But you still have to approach from odd angles and use cover just like pig, the only thing is he's faster than Pig when she stealths.

Pig moves slower to go into position to charge her lunge dash. Wraith moves faster, slows down briefly which basically ='s Pig's charge and roar , and then gets his lunge dash. Then if the a chase happens, Pig has to be out of stealth and move normally while Wraith can go back into his to quickly and easily surpass a Survivor. Overall he has far superior stealth, far superior chase, and far superior mobility.

Then Ghostface either gets a stealth hit (no super lunge) or charges his 1 shot. Both of these require a bit more thought than Wraith's since he is more noticeable. In the time he charges his one shot, Wraith could of already secured that first hit and put the survivor into the state of being downed on next hit. Overall Wraith has better stealth, better chase, and far superior mobility.

  • I like Oppression. Not only can it give you location of Survivors, but it can also start regression on abandoned gens. It's not super strong though, but I do use it here and there. Get the most use out of it on Twins though.

  • Varies. Sometimes it's dings galore and other times I feel like a storm trooper.

  • @Gylfie said:

I think he looks a lot better and will gladly continue maining him alongside Felix. I really don't understand what everyone's complaining about.

Change is hard to accept. I'm not sure how I feel on the shape of his head, but I can appreciate the improvements overall. Seeing people say OG Jake is better than reworked Jake is where I've seen the peak absolute denial of improvement and clinging onto the past though. With David, I can see some valid concerns.

  • Not sure this is really a Pig issue though. It's more of why is Deathslinger part stealth issue.

Pig is better compared to Wraith or Spirit. Two stealth killers that require little effort and have huge rewards for their simple game play. Myers, Ghostface, and Pig are really outshined by these two.

  • Err, it was bound to happen sometime? If you compared Felix to Jake (new hot stuff to old hot stuff) there were very obvious issues with the old rigs of Survivors especially when you get close up shots of their faces doing gens or totems. Seeing as Survivors are also in 3rd person and are also seen by the Killer player as well... it's not surprising we are FINALLY getting them updated.

Nurse, Doctor, Clown (tho small), and Trapper already got their updates which is 3 released to the Survivor's current 0. Now it's 4-8, seems fair to me. Wraith, Billy, and Hag could most certainly use touched up. But let's let the old Survivor cast get some attention.

  • I think I like the head shape better in the OG one, but the rest is improvements.

  • I'd feel bad is she wasn't really annoying to face. The pukes and coughs... the stink clouds... and making any healing stuff you brought in obsolete. Blegh.

  • Well I think there is also skill level differences. Someone can be a really strong Survivor and a terrible Killer, so they complain for Killers buffs. I believe I'm a stronger Killer than Survivor personally. I kind of roll my eyes at the "Trickster can't even down someone!", "I can only win with spirit or nurse", and "Tunneling is the only way Killers can win." since I stomp enough teams. I play Survivor a bit more though, because I love saving and getting someone out or being saved and carried out by someone's skill. Those moments are the most endearing.

Especially when totems spawn near gens, in loops, near loops, out in the open by a random tree. Lets not forget small game that pretty much tells you where they are. Nah, solo's doing totems is completely out of the question.

If the killer is tunneling, if the killer is a good player, or if the killer is using a busted Killer/perks/adddons whatever combo... the time spent hunting and doing totems as a solo means your team is dead. Solos have to gen rush in these cases to have a shot.

  • Oni is the best designed killer, his perks are bleh though.

  • Latin male.

A older woman would be neat as well, but I don't see the old or less attractive characters to really know if that's a smart move. Do we really need another Tapp, Ash, Quentin, or Jeff character that is mostly forgotten?

  • @theplaggg said:

So basically just nerf her and call it a rework.

I mean S rank Killers need nerfed just as much as C or D Tier killers need buffs. Not sure why some people think S+ Tier Nurse should be the ideal balance.

  • Ahh what it must be like to be a low rank Survivor facing Tricksters and losing to that good looking guy. Here in the red ranks I get to lose against sweaty Nurses, Blights, Wraiths, and Spirit for 99% of my matches without my team (solo) having any chance of actual victory.

  • Meh, he can't camp harder than Twins, Hag, or Bubba.

He doesn't punish being in a dead zone nearly as hard as Bubba, Huntress, Deathslinger, enraged Oni, Blight, or Billy.

He can't tunnel as hard as a Billy, Spirit, Blight, or Nurse.

He isn't nearly no effort required as Freddy, Cannibal, Wraith, or Spirit.

    He isn't a M1 simulator like Legion.

Nor is his noises constant for matches like Doctor, Nurse, Plague, or Freddy are.

I think the lesson is nobody is fun to face.

  • Nancys are toxic and horrible players. They get you killed as Survivor while they are the clicking light rageaholics in post chat players when your're Killer.

Cheryls will hide out for hatch even if it takes 30+ minutes.

Claudettes are the biggest mixed bag of players.

Megs and Bills are typically super sweaty with big egos that don't match their skill level.

Dwights are either noobs or goofballs. Beware the bald ones though, typically toxic SWF.

    Neas are toxic textbook players.

Jakes, Felixs, Davids, and Steves could step on me as they run to freedom and the Killer catches my slugged self... and I'd thank them. Typically they are good players who play for the team. Jakes and Davids have a chance of being noobs though. Jakes being the hiding type and Davids being the too bold for their own good type.

Adams with the Seoul Sights can also step on me.

Other Adams are typically bad stealth players who think they are hidden... but they are not.

Kates and Fengs typically play good for a little bit then fall to pieces. Both often expect hatches or door mercy escapes cause they are cute girls. I've even had them offer peace items and the other player's location thinking I'd going to uwu over them. Too bad for them I'm gay, so they get killed and one of the others gets mercy.

Zarinas and Lauries are easily triggered. Disconnection or rage post game is common.

  • Doctor is obnoxious to face, but he is fun to play. He's greatly if you have trouble tracking people or need some slow down in your matches.

Oni is one of their best made Killers. You have a bit slower of a start as you need to build up blood, but you get to smush people once you get the ball rolling. He takes more effort than Doctor.

Blight is one of the strongest Killers, but he involves a lot of fast slamming into stuff and changing directions. I personally cannot stand his game play.

Clown is weaker than many other Killers, but he is also very basic and easy to pick up. He's pretty hit or miss in my experience. Some matches feel fun, some feel like torture.

Trickster is love and life, but he isn't super strong cause he has some glaring weaknesses on some maps where his power is difficult to get use out of. Throwing his blades is fun as is his sounds/personality ingame, but I'd say test the water with Huntress to decide if you like Ranged killers first since she is free.

Deathslinger could work if you like ranged and FPSs. He's all about the aim though.

Spirit is busted strong, get her if you want to be a sweat lord.

    I vote Oni.

  • Oh my! How dare people indicate something on one side of the "teams" may need balanced or changed for the better. They must want everything gutted!!!

Where's your thread asking if Killer mains want Survivor nerfed to start the match downed cause they want DH nerfed?!?

Hag needs her camping hooks toned down, she's only received buffs for years whether indirect or direct. I mained Hag back when she had stuns on her teleports. I know her better than most of you combined.

Wraith is the easiest Killer to play, it's not surprising his recent spike in power and popularity has caused backlash.

  • It's weird when Trickster got called out for this despite his name being more fitting than most others. Like how is the young high school wendigo girl called The Hag? Since when do people think of Clowns... as fat dudes throwing bottles? The Drunk would fit better there for sure. Deathslinger feels made up. Legion is one kid with a tiny knife who gets headaches from running. If in regards to their powers... Nurse obviously fails at her job.

  • Never noticed cause I don't run terror radius perks on him, I typically focus on Gen slowdown since he has weak map presence.

  • Since I been getting matches with Rank 16's and the like... not even base kit Kindred could save me. Had a Claudette and Yui doing more walking and hiding than actual progressing the match the other night. Yui saw me on a gen and decided to take a very long and slow shark circle around it and stop behind obstacles to check if the coast was clear for about half the gen time with me soloing it before walking over and touching it... to run cause a distant heart beat. At least she ran straight into the Killer...

1 2 3 4 5 … 19
