When are we going to see more killer model overhauls?
Don't get me wrong, the new survivor models look good. But we've barely seen any killer model reworks other than trapper and doc ( clown technically had one but only for his hands and knife ).
I'm really curious what an updated hillbilly or wraith will look like.

It's happening, slowly but surely. I think they're just focusing on survivors atm bc this will mean they can implement new animations for them universally but killers would require individual reanimation.
It just sucks that it's taking so long for that to happen. Especially when it seems like they're pumping out survivor overhauls in the blink of an eye.
Really liked the Doc one but Trapper is weird. Feels like a completely different character.
so far i love the overhalls, I think what the art team is going to do is finish up the main survivor cast then slowly move onto killers afterwards. (plus obviously the new killers that release over the year) Trapper looks nice and lean now, its really well done. He still has the Bulky look but with sharper contrast between all of his pieces. cloth/mask/weapon and all that.
I think Wraith is in dire need, while I love his design it screams for a higher resolution texture map (I'm not sure if you guys use 1024x1024 per piece or 2K texture sizes)
I also thought about it recently after noticing small details between The shape and Pyramid Head.
The shape has big and weird hands and Pyramid Head has pretty small and nice designed hands.
Small changes from hands to his mask can be nice. but maybe we will see changes on non licensed characters only.
it’s really not necessary to turn every topic into a survivor vs. killer topic.. there were already some killers updated and the process for survivors is probably easier in a batch as they are already just skins of one another where killers all have unique animations

I'm simply curious when we'll see more of the killers recieve model overhauls.
Survivors technically have their unique idling animations when in a lobby or hanging out near the campfire too.
I would assume the real reason the survivors are easier to update is because they're all still pretty normal people. The killers are all more monstrous in design, which seems to be something the design team wants to better reflect with these model updates (Trapper and Doctor have much more frightening appearances than they used to).

killers seem to be revealed around their respective PTB/live update, and will obviously not get done at the same time. for survs they are taking another approach for whatever reason.
Yeah but those unique surv animations are static and not in-game/interactive, so it’s still different. But yeah them being all very similar is probably another reason for them being done together
Because survivors are relatable.
Their origins, looks, gender, nationality etc. So of course updating them will be a higher priority than killers.

Well I'm southern so yeah, and killers aren't meant to be entirely relatable, and neither are survivors.
If you graphically reworked people off of relatability then you'd have a very small roster of overhauled survivors, and maybe one killer.
That's a terrible argument.
Being relatable doesn't happen by design choice. It doesn't work like that. You can't force something to be relatable.
My point was that survivors are much MORE relatable than more than two thirds of the killer roster. It's because they're mostly normal people being at the wrong place at the wrong time.
Killers are literally scary monsters who enjoy being in the realm to please themselves over kills. There's only a few who are relatable and even that's stretching it.
Heck, the only thing common between you and Hillbilly is you both being "Southern" and that's it. Even Deathslinger can fill that slot. Killers don't offer players anything to relate/reflect from. Oh well.

Err, it was bound to happen sometime? If you compared Felix to Jake (new hot stuff to old hot stuff) there were very obvious issues with the old rigs of Survivors especially when you get close up shots of their faces doing gens or totems. Seeing as Survivors are also in 3rd person and are also seen by the Killer player as well... it's not surprising we are FINALLY getting them updated.
Nurse, Doctor, Clown (tho small), and Trapper already got their updates which is 3 released to the Survivor's current 0. Now it's 4-8, seems fair to me. Wraith, Billy, and Hag could most certainly use touched up. But let's let the old Survivor cast get some attention.
