I'm not sure if turret stuff needs to be nerfed/buffed right now since his tail attack is a bit bugged and not giving proper slowdown. Since Xenomoprh should be moving at 2.0m/s after a tail attack for 3 seconds and that does not seem to be the case.
Thank you unless you are some of the best players in the world or swf it seems impossible to beat him. If that is part of his design BHVR has messed up
-
You are entering very dangerous territory here just to warn you. I'm assuming you are a survivor main and for the record killer perks do get nerfed and you'd be suprised by how many killer mains there are like you who think survivor perks never get nerfed.
-
@KingDeathly said:
The point of the turrets is to slow the killer down while you run away. It gives the killer an option to either deal with the turrets, or lose his power to get the survivor.
If you place two turrets near a generator it will kick him out of power,and you can easily escape. Correct turret placement is on survivor part. I do think the placements for certain maps need to be better. Sometimes I have to walk forever or go back,and forth to just find a spot to place the turret in. This is my only complaint so far with the DLC. It specially needs to be looked at on RPD, the placement for turrets on that map sucks.
This is the only issue I have with it too everything else is amazing since I now know how turrets work but RPD is such a pain
-
You can't use shards since they're lincensed

I am so excited!!!!

No it's annoying as you aren't disrupting the match for anyone but I would say they just aren't bothered with something that rarely happens unfortunatly so as the person above said just go afk if you don't want penalty.

Yeah, it was a lot more fun when people were able to just goof around with random perks and killers.
Don’t get me started on how much fun it was to goof around with survivors and take a break from the chases to do random stuff. I vividly remember running the bar as a killer on Ormond and having all 4 survivors coming over to grab a drink rather than rush gens. I know it’s not a part of the game but it used to be so fun when it was stress free.
This is why I am happy I am on console nowadays due to ingame chat not being a thing competitive people can often be quite toxic I really hope if you are a pc player that you din't have this. Especially since you were playing Pig and just trying to have some fun.

Lore wise the Entity's realm isn't the real places. It's just the entity making the realm look like places that tilts people (usually killers). For example the Clown's circus is next to the Crotus Prenn Asylum although it doesn't make sense. An other example is the shelter woods' map being changed to add stuff related to SM when she was added, or The Artist's map, which isn't even trying to represent something real.
Long story short, the entity just does stuff for shits and giggles. I believe Amanda did go into the bathroom in one of the movies, so you can justify it by that i guess.
You're right Amanda helped John set up the game in Saw 1 and went there in Saw 2.

Hi, I've been trying to play a game as an kille for the past two days.
And in every game I meet a whole toxic team, they crouch down, wave flashlights, wait at the gate. I can't win!!
it is sad :(
So I have a question, how to play a normal game?
Do you have Wesker or Pinhead?

Kinda thinking you like variety/flexibility the most. We would suggest pig, Ghostface, or spirit for a test run as they can be played pretty much any way (pig is "customizable" with her power, GF is basically a m1 killer able to turn off his heartbeat and possible exposed, spirit is an speedy m1, all of whom can run pretty much anything).
I have spirit and ghosty but not pig. I want pig because of her customizable power.

https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/388649/who-are-the-most-fun-killers
This is too personal of a question to answer without knowing what you like. Literally every Killer can be fun for one reason or another. Like sneaking up and one-shotting people? Ghosty. Like making people not understand loop timings? Clown with both bottles. Like having a galaxy-brain plan for the Survivor to jump out of a 2nd story window to down themselves? Trapper. Like crossmap injuring and downing people? Huntress. Like winning while not trying to win once you learn to ride the bike of the Killer? Blight/Nurse/Spirit. Like asserting dominance with your purified chad energy? Billy.
Since I saw you said you were console, I'd stray away from precision Killers, and use some basic M1's (Killers with 4.6 movespeed and no power down capabilities) until you hone in on what you like, while also cementing the basics of Killer if newer. Starter good Killers to expand after finding your calling are probably Wraith and Legion. Oni is also a good pick, but depending on your experience level, I might not recommend him immediately. Artist might be one of the best 4.6 Killers that can still use power without a problem on controller. Wesker and Blight are good, but I'm afraid controller might not allow for turning fast enough to get what needs to be done.
@Rulebreaker said:

Before we jump on the "its subjective" band, can we ask what you consider fun?
I consider fun to be killers that I can run fun builds with or are fun like Myers and Oni I own both of those and Wesker. Also M1 killers like the pig but I don't own her but one of the comments said she can be depending on your style.
I have had the game for a year played for 2 months when I got the game Artist was my main at the time. Came back when Skull Merchant came out then quit after two days (I'm sure you already know why). I came back mid April got the Oni enjoyed him and then got a free rift pass around the anniversary event and got Myers and deathslinger. Just two weeks ago I got Nemisis. I am still trying to fin a main maybe the pig.
I hope all this info helps.

So I was just playing killer ghost and when I was chasing survivor and all of sudden i got messaged poped up by the game that it got crashed then I restarted the game and I got matchmaking ban for 12m is that ban fair or is it my fault or the games?
I think if the game crashes that it is unfair to get a matchmaking ban but obviously if you are a killer the game immediatly and the survivor bots don't do as well as players sometimes.

We do not need another 6.1.0. That would cause more problems than it would solve. What we need however is killer specific buffs.
Clown could use 1 more bottle by default.
Pig's stealth could be a bit faster and the roar of her ambush could be delayed by a bit.
Trapper needs maps with thick grass.
Doctor could use the brown range addon as base kit.
Wraith's lunge could use a slight buff.
Myers needs a rework. There are too many things wrong with his kit to fix them all with just a buff.
Demogorgon needs an addon pass.
As does Billy. And Pyramid Head.
And Freddy needs a gun. And an addon pass. And a new base kit.
I agree with you killer specific ones are the way to go

recently i've tried to play a bit of matches & somehow i don't really find it "exciting" that much anymore. die or escape as a survivor main, it doesn't really feel as if i've "achieved" something as i used to before. how can i change my point of view on this? i think it might be due to my "burn-out" since i played it like the whole days the last week, so that may be why i got "bored" of it & i just probably need to take a break from it a bit, but the thing is, even when i do enjoy playing it, it doesn't feel "casual" nor simply fun, just literally competitive and concentrating. there may be sometimes funny matches that i truly love, but overall, i just wanna simply enjoy a horror game everytime i play it, or at least almost of the time.(which isn't really horror anymore but still, you get the idea).
I too feel this as well as a survivor main. I have been looking for tips and one I have found is try different builds to change things up a bit. Another thing I do is play killer more than I used to and I enjoy that much more.

I know Nemisis zombies have helped me on rare occasions but half the time they get stuck. In that case I just destroy them with the tentacle to level it up and get some use out of it. But Knights power is completely reliant on Aiwhich can be a problem.

Pretty sure this chapter was a Killer chapter only, especially since we just got a licensed survivor chapter. The roadmap showed what we’re getting.
No it is a full chapter with a map too by the looks of it. I'm so excited I really hope they don't mess it up.

@LiunUK said:
get the whole chapter its better value both jill and Leon have fun perks like blast mine and flashbang while nemesis is a decent killer with good perks
@jesterkind said:
I'd say so, yes. It depends if you play killer or survivor- I'd say killer gets more out of this chapter than survivor, but it's not nothing on either side.
Killer gets a pretty strong killer, one incredible perk, one decent perk, and one kind of okay perk. No real failures here.
You do get two survivors which is a higher density, but the quality of the perks isn't quite consistent. Leon has two strong perks, one of which is a very fun active perk in Flashbang, and one decent perk to help track generators. Jill has weaker perks that are all still usable, and Blast Mine is an especially fun perk as well.
All in all a pretty solid all-rounder chapter, imo.

Alright so I'll do my best
Nemesis: good killer, power is similar to Myers (The Shape) you want to get infection levels fast.
Nemesis perks: Lethal Persuer and Eruption are really good perks, highly recommend. Hysteria is an ok kind of perk
Lethal shows the aura of all survivors at the beginning of the match, and it extends all aura reading from any source by 2 seconds. Eruption marks gens after kicking them, once you down a survivor any affected gens explodes and loses 10% of progress and the survivors aura is shown for 12 seconds. Hysteria causes all other injured survivors to suffer from the oblivious effect fpr 30 seconds after injuring a healthy survivor.
Leon's perks: Bite the bullet is a decent perk, no noise while healing. Flashbangs are kinda like flashlights, they are useful if you know how to use them. Rookie Spirit is kinda underrated, it allows you to see the aura of any gens that are regressing.
Jill's perks: Counter force allows you to clense totems faster and shows the aura of furthest totem from you. Resurgence allows you to gain 50% healing progress instantly after being unhooked, but since there seems to be a sloppy butcher meta I would stay away from this perk. Blast Mine allows you to install trap on a gen, when the killer kicks the gen they are blinded and stunned.
@Xendritch said:
Depends if you play both roles or not.
For killer Nemmy is a solid B tier killer that's good at at antiloop with his tentacle whip and pretty good 1v1 but mediocre 1v4 due to how unreliable his zombies are. His perks are solid too with Lethal Pursuer being one of the best killer perks in the game, eruption is a decent gen regression perk and hysteria is his only bad perk.
For survivors it's a different story, Blast Mine from Jill is the only perk that's actually good. Her other perks Counterforce and Resurgence are both very mediocre we're not in a hex meta for counterforce to be worth it (and even if we were detective's hunch is generally better) and Resurgences doesn't create enough value to be worth running. As for Leon flashbang is fun but almost never works unless you run it with Head On. Bite the Bullet can be good when it works but is very situational and Rookie Spirit....is a perk that exists I guess. I suppose it's alright for soloQ but even then it's very meh.
So overall you're getting a decent killer with one great perk one good perk and a bad perk. Along with 6 survivor perks only 1 of which is good along with one meme perk, one kind of okay sometimes perk and three bad perks. I'll let you evaluate on your own if that sounds worth it to you or not.
Thank you everyone for your advice it is really appreciated. I'm going to buy the chapter right now

Licensed Chapter. So you can either expect that Nicolas Cage wanted more money from purchases OR BHVR had to pay quite a bit for the license and this way they try to get money back for acquiring the license. And in the end, they are still a company and companies are no charity and want to make money. And either way, Nicolas Cage also wants money for his license.
I just think the other option would not be to offer the DLC for 5 bucks instead of 10, the other option would have probably just been to not bring Nicolas Cage into the game.
Exactly! He wasn't even one people were insanly hyped for. People would much prefer FNAF or something

You have my respect for making a post like this I am almost certain half of the people who have read this post want to strangle you.
While I absoloutly despise SM that is the devs fault and I learned a long time ago that people like different things and styles in games like this.
While I cannot get SM in good consience given how much I hate the game when I go against her.

Play her until order is restored and this demon we call the skull merchant is fixed hopefully in a fun way for everyone that is not boring.
But do at least be understanding when survivors dc.

I’m assuming if you only wrote one character you already have the other ones?
If so, then I would say the best choices for you are:
- Resident Evil
- Bubba
- Darkness Among Us
- Saw
- Descend Beyond (since you are console this might be a tough one. If you want someone who is easier for console then maybe Knight but Blight is more fun)
Not sure how much you plan on getting, but I would say if to prioritise the licensed characters as you can unlock the others through shards. Unless there is someone who you really want, then get them first :)

Today, Team Eternal - the top comp team in the game - played against a P100 Skull Merchant streamer, who I won't name, who camped a 3-gen from the start of the match on Torment Creek. The entire match lasted 50 minutes, and only through perfect coordination were Eternal able to break the 3-gen. If it takes almost enough time for the game to end for the best team in the world to break a 3-gen, what's the average pub solo Q team expected to do?
There is absolutely no excuse for this killer to continue to exist in her current configuration. She needs to be killswitched until something better can be made of her.
EDIT: This game also showcased a critical design flaw with Overcharge, that was never removed when the perk was nerfed: the perk still guarantees a skill check, which regresses 15% of the generator if it is failed. Team Eternal - the best team in the world - failed the skill check numerous times. An infinitely recharging difficult skill check that regresses 15% of a generator shouldn't exist, and is just as problematic as old Call of Brine and old Overcharge were for the game. The skill check either needs to have a hefty cooldown attached to it, or be significantly easier to hit (I'm talking 2x the current size). As it stands, Overcharge is much stronger than Call of Brine, and Call of Brine is just a much worse version of Surveillance.
Yes I 100% agree with you. I a solo queue player have gone up against a three gen SM every time I have gone up against her I almost quit the game when she came out but thankfully I have gone up against her much less. It is almost impossible to counter in solo queue. While she doesn't have to be used in that way it does seem to still be a popular strategy. What I noticed is that some killers just sit afk until there is 2 gens left and the go full three gen mode. She absolutely needs the killswitched until they fix this problem.
-
@Mooks said:
Do which killers did you like before? When did you stop playing - so which ones would be new to you?
from the new ones I think Knight and Skull Merchant can actually be played in an interesting tactical way - though they are sadly known for 3gen camp strategys which isn’t that tactical nor exciting.
Wesker is more like Blight or Nurse, oppressive in 1v1 chase and quite good mobility.
I stopped playing start of November so just before the knight came out I think.

"Camping killer"
I want you to think carefully about this.
I'd argue, it isn't toxic, as the devs fully allow it in play. Players don't make the rules the devs do. As far as trolling survivors go, I assume you mean body blocking and sandbagging <---Both of which the devs fully allow collision in this manner so....
Then theres the factor of "working with the killer" <--- Which isn't allowed by the devs and bannable.
Players don't make the rules here the devs do. Any self imposed "This is the way you should play" <---emphasis on "Should" is completely subjective. As soon as you let go of the fact that players don't run this game, the easier it is to get over what you subjectively deem as "Toxic".
Thank you @PigMainBigBrain you're absolutley right camping is just annoying gameplay thank you for that correction

If you want to buy a non-licensed Killer, go with Spirit. She has an incredible power and good perks, and she is generally viewed as fun to play both as/against.
Spirit Fury
After breaking up to 4 pallets (dependent on the Tier of the perk), the next time you are stunned by a pallet, The Entity will instantly break the pallet.
- You still suffer from the stun effect penalty.
Hex: Haunted Ground
Two trapped Hex Totems will spawn in the Trial. When either one of the two trapped Hex Totems is cleansed by a Survivor, all Survivors suffer from the Exposed status effect for up to 60 seconds (dependent on the Tier of the perk). The remaining trapped Hex Totem immediately becomes a Dull Totem.
Rancor
You become obsessed with one survivor
Each time a generator is completed, all Survivors’ locations are revealed to you for up to 5 (dependent on the Tier of the perk) seconds. Once all generators are completed, the Obsession has the Exposed status effect and you can kill your obsession.
Thank you I've bought her now

@Brokenbones said:
So essentially she's 110% meaning she's a bit slower in regular chase but her power essentially allows you to become completely invisible visually and travel at high speeds. Survivors only hear a whoosing sound and have a general idea of which direction you're approaching from. Upon exiting phase, she maintains her speed for a brief duration which can be used for a bit of a longer reaching lunge (This is known as the 'reappearance'). Think of it like Wraith's post-uncloak speed burst, it's very similar
The main use for this is using the fast speed to close distance with survivors and hit them. Spirit is a very sound reliant killer because when she enters her 'phase' survivors are completely invisible to her as well. You can only see scratchmarks and hear sounds such as footsteps, grunts of pain, generators and so on.
Also a side note but when you enter Phase, you stand still and leave behind a 'Husk' which keeps your terror radius until your power ends. Not a huge part of her power but it's something to be aware of
Thank you @Brokenbones this is what I needed.

Typically if you're going to buy killers with money, I'd recommend licensed killers first, since you can always earn in-game iridescent shards to unlock non-licensed killers.
The next question comes down to whether you want their perks or the killer itself or a mix of both.
The Mastermind (Albert Wesker) should be releasing relatively soon, and from the PTB, he was a lot of fun to play and pretty effective. From their recent dev blog, they've stated they've made his awkward issues in the PTB better, so he should be even more enjoyable to play than he was in the PTB. That said, if you're new at the game, he may be a bit more 'advanced' for a new person. His perks have their uses, but I can't see them being meta defining or too powerful, though it is too early to say.
If you're new at the game, Bubba (The Cannibal) is a fairly easy to understand killer who can do pretty well against most survivors. He instadowns with his chainsaw, and he chews through pallets. Whilst his perks aren't particularly 'meta' or 'powerful', BBQ and Chili is still a useful perk for aura reading if you're limited at perks.
The Onryo (Sadako) is also a potentially good choice if you're looking for a very easy killer to play and understand who comes with some decent perks (Call of Brine and Floods of Rage). Do be warned though, that she falls into the weaker side out of the killer roster unless you know how to stack her condemned very well, as you go against more experienced survivors, you won't do as well as you could do with other killers.
The Cenobite (Pinhead) - This killer requires some skill shots to use with his power (as you summon the chain point then have to hit the chain at a survivor), but also comes with some passive slowdown which helps against the survivors. He's not easy to understand and will require some practice, but he's pretty effective once you know how to play him. All 3 of his perks actually have found their use into builds of mine, so he has got some good value perk wise. Deadlock is good for some gen slowdown, Hex:Plaything is great for passive slowdown/oblivious and synergises well with Pentimento from the Artist, and Gift of Pain is also a very decent slowdown perk on Scourge builds.
The Nemesis is another fairly decent choice, though his whip is a skill shot, so you need to be patient and practice with it - and he's very reliant on infecting survivors to become more powerful. When you reach Tier 2, you can start breaking downed pallets with his whip, so he can become a very decent chase killer. He also gets 2 passive AI controlled zombies that roam around the map and cause grief to the survivors, though they can be sometimes very useful and very not useful depending on their AI/map. He has two very decent perks as of this patch, which is Lethal Pursuer and Eruption. Lethal synergises very well with most aura reading perks and add-ons, and Eruption pairs exceptionally well with gen kicking builds.
I could go on and on - and I've almost listed every single licensed killer at this point, so I don't want to overwhelm you further, but ideally we'd need to know more about what type of playstyle you enjoy and what you're looking for out of a killer. Ultimately I'd say if you're very new to the game, and just want a killer you can enjoy that's simple to understand, you can't really go wrong with Bubba. If you enjoy a more sneaky playstyle, then Michael Myers and Ghost Face may also be more up your alley.
Thank you I'll take this into account and you've made me feel certain about The onryo
