NOED is fine.
If everybody ran Small Game it wouldn't be a problem, and suddenly Small Game would be S tier.

What I try to do is spread it, to the point where I ignore survivors if they're the newest unhook or slug them and basically refuse to chase them until I've hooked someone else; probably explains why a lot of games get down to exit gates or 1 gen left lmao.
Btw mostly experienced at around ranks 10 - 8 (w/out ruin) since they're the most fun ranks for me, but I can hit rank 1 with or without ruin (but only on Freddy lmao)
Ahh I see. Do you not get stressed at all when you are going for high ranks?

I've started playing without ruin on new Freddy after a while and honestly I haven't noticed that large of a difference, or if anything I'm doing better. Mainly because I only keep track of kill or no kill and so if I got a 4k at 5 gens or 2 gens makes no difference to me. So yeah, I've been getting the same amount of kills, or if anything more because it opens a perk slot up for something else.
What is your playstyle like? Do you spread the love or do you focus down one after another?

Alright, thanks for the heads up, I definitely think it should be more like 5 seconds.
Infact, logic says it should be 5 seconds. I don't understand how anyone can look at the jump from 1 second to 10 seconds and think that's perfect progression :P

I honestly regret giving them any money after announcing their plans to include a battlepass system :/ imo it's a predatory system

People with +2000 hours who say that are not addicted are hilarious lmao
Just accept it, I did it since I hit 1k hours and bought a skin for 10€... Sad pepe
I personally don't justify buying skins, especially since they're introducing a battle pass which in my opinion is a heavily predatory tactic for more revenue. I'm fine spending my shards on Shrine perks too

Not saying I don't like the new map rework, its great. The thing is, why is there so many different versions in the first place? At aome point it just looks like a bunch of clutter dropped in and then called it a day. Not to mention it just adds to the amount of maps players should familiarize themselves with. Plus the naming scheme... Why wasn't the original layout of badham used and just tinkered with the structures?
They want to create more unique experiences so that players don't always know what to expect. I for one enjoy the system for those exact reasons. Also means I might one day have a chance against a full kitted out 4 man SWF because they might not 100% know what they're doing (please nobody accuse me of "maining" killer, I play both)

Like killers don't already get second chances? You're already faster (most of them), and then you get built in bloodlust for free to get a little faster when you're failing to catch someone.
And let's not forget you've got perks to extend the game because you failed to catch us fast enough (Ruin, Thanataphobia, generator breaking perks), plus instadowns (ability, plus Haunted grounds, iron maiden) plus bad killer reward perks (NoEd, Freddy perks, Rancor, and, yes your precious moris).
There's a reason I try to always run small game. Every killer I'm facing has Hex Ruin and/or NoEd...and, yes, we can tell by how terrible you play that you will have NoEd.
Wasting more time on a survivor whilst 3 gens get pretty much done to near completion isn't a second chance. Bringing an insta med kit, using Decisive, Dead Harding when you can't get to the last pallet due to bad timing, these are second chances.
Hell, NOED isn't a second chance if survivors are of modest intelligence (do totems?)Wasn't a factor. Downed one person while the others are at the door on the other side of the map? Just leave.
Every action a killer takes bares a toll on their ability and they can FEEL this as they scramble themselves to count every second they may have wasted scouting an area of the map that may not even have a survivor- *gen pops*
Ruin - can be found instantly. Hugely RNG whenever it gets found or not, plus I've been able to do gens quick without it.
Thanataphobia - barely a factor, honestly. If teams end up in a situation where everyone is injured at once, that's on the survivors.
Haunted Grounds - Countered by extreme stealth, hiding in the corners of maps or lockers for just a minute, Barely any time - or Sprint Bursting away and looping.
Iron Maiden - No killer is going to run this unless it's a fast locker huntress. And if they do, once you know they will basically be stuck with 3.2 perks
Rancor - Basically a more reliable NOED only on one person. However while the mori is happening a door will open
Mori's - I hate them as a concept as they lower the chances of anyone pipping or having fun.
I am glad someone has realised the power of Small Game, on top of countering Trapper (--F tier now lol) and Hag, it also makes Hex perks basically useless as they're gonna be found so much quicker.

Seriously @Peanits isn't there a way to make the game more brighter for killers so they don't have troubles finding blendettes and revert the old lightning for survivor?Isn't it supposed to be eternal night in the entity's realm? It legit looks like it's about to be morning in every map right now.The old look of this game is one of the main reasons why i started playing it back in the day and it's really sad to see it downgrade like that....
It might be just my monitor, but whenever I play killer without an adjustment software everything is darker than the ######### void, same thing with my survivor

While i'm not going to call the police on anyone for playing the way they want, I will definitely state that if you enjoy making someone else feel like ######### because it's fun then you are a pretty bad person. Behaviour like that comes from the early years and if someone likes bullying like that then they haven't changed much since they were a child which is pathetic.
On the topic of people being sensitive, some people can't help it. There have been times where my emotional and mental state has been turned upside down due to single comments, so much so that multiple times I've just lay on the floor at night for hours on end wishing it would end - this is more IRL issues but I have felt similar ways due to gaming, which goes onto my next point...
If you're playing against younger individuals and play the way which is considered toxic and even saying the standard "gg ez" this can impact them greatly. I'm not going to act like a child psychology expert, but because I was familiarized with online bullying at a young age I know how to spot it easier which makes it impact me more.
I'm not telling anyone how to play, I'm just trying to act as an important notice to those who play in that toxic way, that sometimes actions have consequences, and I'm sure there's been 100s of incidents where non-mentally stable individuals have hurt themselves physically due to consistent things in video games. Saying man up isn't good enough.

Pro: You won't be stuck at a rank with a Killer you can't play well.
Con: Survivors could be stuck with a pro Killer at low ranks.
I know this is making it messy, but what if as soon as you got a killer at Rank 9 then all your killer ranks get automatically set to 10? There are less new players there and I think thats when people start to get a clue.
-
For the last time. If there's survivors around the hook at the time it's fine. If the gens are all powered it's fine. If there's no one around the hook and the killer has no reason to it's not fine. And most importantly, the Devs will NOT add anymore stupid anti camp mechanics. The killer already loses chaser if he's too close. Defense is a part of the game.

Not entirely sure what you mean there, but there are people out there who as passionate as they might be aren't able to see how a change would feel for the other side, or those who are able to say that they don't like something without being able to say why they don't like something (e.g. I hate this perk vs. I hate this perk because it encourages tunneling). Playtime alone doesn't automatically mean that someone gives good constructive feedback. It's also important to take feedback from a wide variety of players, not only those who have played the game for thousands of hours.
I see what you mean, but I was thinking about the player base as a whole. You have a huge potential in the amount of people who sink so many hours into this game, but to pass a huge chunk of them off as not worth for feedback because they only play one thing. Of course I'm not saying to only listen to a Trapper main on how to balance the game, but I think there might be something in what they give you that will at least give you a rough baseline. I can guarantee that every people who plays this game is biased to a degree, so why not take in all the biased statements and compare them to each other, which can influence the changes. When it comes to players who play every killer and survivor, I think their opinion if anything is worth less because they're spreading their area of knowledge so wide yet so thin in a game where there feels like there's hundreds of different factors.
tl:dr - Imo looking for unbiased players is impossible, instead find all the biased players and cross-reference every last bit of their feedback to find a middle ground, then move on from there.
I hope I didn't sound condescending or was repeating already heard rhetoric at all. Just tried to give something valuable is all.

@Peanits said:
We've got much more detailed statistics on our end and already take feedback from experienced players. It's also worth noting that playtime alone does not mean that they'll give good feedback. I won't judge the people listed there without knowing them, but not everyone is able to give unbiased feedback or explain why they don't like something.
How does one know someone is biased or unbiased by not attempting to communicate more? Your stats might be unbiased, but they can also be deceptive

I swear this was an issue months ago but was since sorted out. I've been at Rank 1 two months straight, and everytime the queue was, while not being too long, a good 2 minutes, so modestly annoying.
I could've sworn MLGA was just something that showed ping and not actually stopped you from connecting to certain people, but I only used very briefly last year.

@TheGameZpro3 I appreciate the idea of buying it with Shards. I hope they go with that, but if they decide to lock it behind a pay wall then there's going to be issues with lots of players who suffer from levels of FOMO, including me (however this really is only relevant if they decided to put some goth cosmetics behind the premium battlepass LMAO)
-
@TheGameZpro3 I'm interested in what you think about this video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EfSZY4dAdQU&feature=youtu.be
-
@ClogWench True. Even if only 33% of the community wanted it, Behaviour would still do it as the money that that 33% would spend would be equal to or more than the money that the 100% are spending without the battlepass.
-
@Atrushan88 Wasn't Doofy also using the chaos of the Ghostface murders to get away with his own under the exact same costume?
-
@Mushwin So you want the Killer to be Ghostface...and the survivor to ALSO be Ghostface ;) :p
-
Yeah. No one trust this post.
[EDIT: Nvm, it's just a very confusing post lol]
-
Be careful of FALSE EQUIVALENCY. What may seem equal on first glance won't always be equal in practice. The different is that there are 4 SURVIVORS and 1 KILLER. If a Killer gets a leg up on 1 survivor by insta downing them with a perk, well guess what, there are 3 other survivors to deal with who most likely aren't going to be insta downed unless you're running insta down only perks, which will overall disadvantage you because you aren't running RUIN.
MOM is in a state where once people realize its power, everyone, and I mean EVERYONE will be running it, and with one MOM extending for say 20-40 seconds, two MOMs could be a potential 2 generators, which is HUGE.
-
@fluffybunny They're skins where it counts. If you told me that I had to win the next survivor game NO MATTER WHAT, I would play Claudette with DH, SC, MOM, and DS. In fact I still keep that similar idea because all my survivors are fitted with the gothest clothing possible.
-
@Hoodedfengm1n people who care about winning will play Claudette. Nuff said
-
I find that buying a survivor just for the character is weird, considering they're all skins and offer no real advantage. In reality, you're buying a skin and the ability to get more skins for that character later on alongside the main benefit of having more perks to put into builds. Only the latter is really an important factor
-
@TG_Cid_Orlandu I do actually agree with the blasting audio point. I'm a musician and sound engineer in training, and risking my ears to even MORE loud audio is overall dangerous for my career prospects.
-
Scariest thing is going against a legit 4 man SWF with Decisive, MOM, Dead Hard, and Adrenaline with 100% pallet knowledge and communication. Basically unwinnable.
-
@TG_Cid_OrlanduLiterally had this exact same question earlier. Just gonna post my replies
-
@Frisk14 You can already hear them, the problem is being able to hear them EASIER. It's an unfair advantage
-
@Frisk14 Then all killers would play with sound off to hear survivor breathing and footsteps, and all survivors would do it to hear Michael and Pig, effectively semi-nerfing all terror radius based perks.
