Really? Thats kinda..ugh cause i dont wanna pay money for a skin.
Well at least according to the movies. If i remember correctly.

We already have a gay killer (legendary skin). The Chatterer (aka Pinhead).

Honestly, i think Boons would be totally fine IF killers Hex perks would work the same way.

I think the issue is a different one.

New update just droped. What do you expect? Que times for killers be 1s when they buff two killers?
Also people want to try new changes so of course you will see the same killers more offten for 1-3 days.
I think he meant the survivor queue times. Since he complained about seeing Legion 5 times in a row.
But then the queue statement doesn´t make any sense, since the survivor queue was fast during the release (since everyone wanted to test Legion and GF). Since then the queues went back to normal and i also don´t see Legion as much. Soooo i don´t really get whats the issue here.

Yeah no deathslinger main would’ve looked at the changes and agreed with them. They also have people like scorpionz who are fog whisperers and specifically main 1 killer. Why not ask them?
I totally forgot about the fog whisperer program. They have all the data they need! Why not reach out to them?

Tbf they didn’t really fix his core issue and main counterplay. Once survivors split up on gens he’s basically as useless as he’s always been
Correct. Which makes all the "survivors only get nerfs while killers only get buffs" threads hilarious. People tested both Legion and GF after the patch. Thats why we got those 2 killers non stop. But not even after 24 hours, it went back to the normal rotation. Because surprise, the buffs didn´t solve anything.
I really don´t get why the devs don´t ask mains what they want. They have data about how Twins is a monster on high mmr, so why not contact those high mmr (insert killer) mains and ask them where the core issues are.
They missed this every single rework/buff for any killer so far. When the mains usually know where the problems are.
-
Tbh, this is a LGBTQ+ game.
But DbD?
-
That's an... interesting build.
-
The change didn't improve Legion on a level that would change their rating.
Legion is still C tier at best. Hell, yesterday i saw a big streamer get 1 hook against a coordinated team.

Pretty much every match was on Haddonfield. One was in Badham.
So do you also want a haddonfield nerf?
-
Out of curiosity, how many of those matches were on Haddonfield?
When something is new or gets reworked, then of course people will want to try it. I guarantee you that by tomorrow you'll see the normal rotation/variety.

Ok I have to ask what you consider toxic.
Because after 3k hours, I can count the toxic endgame chat killers on 1 hand.
Anyway, on regard of the tunneling. If you see a gen at 90% and regressing. Do you finish it or will you go after that gen at 0%?

Im still downloading the update so will have to check myself but yeah i thought they were supposed to tone down the chase music as it was legit giving people headaches to play him which is a big issue if this is still the case.
Honestly a simple volume control that players can set their own chase music levels would be better. I don't need an increadably loud noise in my ear just beacuse im behind a survivor. Given that killers rely on sounds just as much as visuals then chase music like this is such a big issue for killers more so than survivors.
FYI yes the chase music is still annoying for survivors.
It still gives headdaches. Really terrible and i dont know why they went live with it.
You can check on some streamers playing him while downloading.

True. BHVR is keep nerfing week killers for no reason. They are making more people play with camper Bubba or Nurse or Blight. And if you don't like them, you have to leave game.
I mean just think, you bought game because you are Halloween fan. But then you are seeing Myers is weakest killer in game (with Trapper). Why you would stay
Oh yeah, i was a big Freddy fan and probably one of the few Freddy mains back when he was released. He was nerfed 1 week after his release and left in this state for 2 years, before they turned him into a completely different killer (that no one liked).
Sometimes i really don´t understand the devs. Sure, they don´t want to have pay2win killers. But pay2lose seems to be okay for them (Sodoku is the last example for this).

We haven't heard anything about the Nurse, from BHVR, for a long while. But if you check out the aggregate stat sites, her kill rate has actually begun to skyrocket. She's the second most used killer, under huntress and she has the 2nd highest kill rate, below Blight.
My guess is that everyone has started switching over to Nurse and Blight because they are the easiest killers to get kills with. And think about it, once you learn Nurse, you never unlearn her. So as more people learn her, they keep playing her. So there's more and more people who know how to play Nurse and less people that don't know how to play her. It's really the people who don't know how to play her and that's what keeping her kill rate so low for so long.
The official kill stats look kinda different though.

It really is boring. I agree.
But on the other hand, the most hated killers are the high mobility ones. Those that basically don´t camp at all.

How can you call her OP, when she has the lowest kill rate?

Just this setup is guaranteed 4k for the killer, not a 2k/2e cause 2 people can't carry a game that's intended to be played by 4 survivors.
I had a game like that the other day. 2 rly bad team mates who couldn't loop the killer for more than 10 seconds against me and a Claudette. The killer realized me and Claudette were the harder targets so he just completely ignored us until Yun and Felix were dead - at 3 gens left. After that we somehow still managed to do 2 gens but that game was just a guaranteed loss for us.
Its a way to artificially increase the kill rates and/or let killers have less sweaty matches.
But this will only last for a short amount of time. Because the mmr will eventually settle to where it used to be before.
At least until then i have time to test out non meta builds. Which had unforseen side effects so far (killer dcs after i wiggled out on my first down, while 3 gens were done).

Most killers have close to 60% killrate...
So will never happen
50* on the last dev stats.
-
Honestly, I think if all killers collectively agreed to not take any gen slowdown perks and NOED during a period of 2 or 3 months, then the heavily increased escape rates would convince the devs to do something in regard of gens.
-
Yeah no. Non tunneling killers would get more punished by this. Since once the gates are powered, it would result in a guaranteed escape.
I see between 3 and 4 DS per match. So DS obviously is meta and doesn't need any buffs.
-
I think her ambush and stealth needs a buff. Also maybe an addon rework, where she gets more traps in exchange for a little more time.
-
But that's kinda his thing.
Basement bubba is as lore fitting as it gets.
Maybe we should come to the consensus that survivors in the basement are dead for the rest of the team. At least against bubba.
-
Prepare for Exponential meta! This boon will see some heavy use during the next 2 months.
On a plus side, when more people play twins, then their kill rate will go down and they finally receive some buffs.

I just don't see what else you are supposed to do tbh. Most of my games I am losing 1-2 gens for a borderline perfect chase; and that's with Corrupt.
I spawn in, walk across the map, find someone, chainsaw them in the first sweep, and boom the first gens are still popping as I hook them. A mistake or two during the first chase I would probably lose 3. Pop goes the weasel has been utterly worthless lately on low mobility killers.
Especially on a 110 killer, where do you go from losing 2 gens for your first hook? You could walk across the map, find a hold W + predrop gamer, and lose the next few gens before you are even really caught up to them.
The only killers I really feel comfortable target swapping on are Nurse and Blight; who can be dropping people in the first 15 seconds of the game. Everyone else is too slow and downs take too long even when you execute them almost flawlessly.
Because the current meta allows for nothing else. Even the devs noticed. Just look at the last 4 killers perks. Every single one of them had a perk to slow gens down (some even several perks).
Playing without any gen slowdown perks will guarantee you getting barely 2 or 3 hooks before all gens are completed (unless you play against complete potatoes that spend the first 2 minutes hiding in the corner of the map). Using only 1 slowdown perk has almost no effect. So killers currently stack between 2 and 3 slowdown perks (ironically, the devs once said that they are against slowdown perks stacking and that killers shouldn´t feel forced to take them).
Killers have grown really desperate and i don´t really blame them for camping or tunneling the first survivor they see (even if i am that one).
The people that claim how streamers can get their 3k without any (slowdown) perks should take a look at how many hooks the streamers get before the gates are powered. Even Otz has matches where he only gets 4 hooks in exchange for 5 gens. So why do they still get kills? Because survivors get cocky when they are still on their first hook and all gens are completed. Since there is no "real" risk. Which sometimes backfires.
-
@Munqaxus said:

Yeah, because Undying was an easier "I-Win" button compared to "Tunneling-Off-Hook-Till-Dead". They're both "I-Win" buttons.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2921465#Comment_2921465
We both want tunnel-off-hook-till-dead out of the game, so why not remove it, then buff killers to compensate. It's not really fair that killers get buffed and still have the I-Win button.
An I-Win button that survivors could completely ignore, because Ruin on itself didn´t do anything against survivors that just held m1.
Or do you mean that a killer who wasn´t camping or tunneling automatically won the match by injuring everyone and constantly breaking chases? Correct me if i´m wrong, but wasn´t that what survivors always wanted? Getting left alone so they could heal in peace?
-
How about instead of changing myers, why not make other killers more like myers?
What i mean is the addons. He has unique addons that allow for completely different playstyles. We need more of that on other killers.
-
Fun fact: in the time between the Undying release and its nerf, there were (almost) no camping or tunneling threads. Simply because any killer that wanted to get some juice out of the Undying Ruin combo, simply couldn´t afford to focus on a single survivor. Instead they had to spread damage and constantly switch targets.
Now on top of that, CoH completely killed off hit&run. Which forces killers to secure a down/kill.
Fascinating how that backfired. Isn´t it?

Call it elo hell or bad luck. But the mmr favors faster matchmaking over fair matchmaking. Unless that changes... there is little we can do.

How long do my chases last? It depends on what perks they are running and what perks I am running or what killer I am playing.
Also I never claimed anything about when the actual game “starts” that is something you brought up. I simply said that in many of my games everyone is dead at 1 gen left. Because I think you are focusing too much on the number of gens being done rather than the pressure you are creating.
If you think Corrupt is a bad perk then I would say you are not very experienced with it because that perk alone gives you a ton of information on locating survivors specifically on gens. The difference between Corrupt and a perk like say ruin is that unlike Ruin it doesn’t do the job for you… YOU have to do the work. If you are chasing in the area where you clearly see all the gens are blocked, that is on you for not paying attention.
I also wouldn’t use a streamer as an example to show a gen speed problem. They are often distracted and not focused on the match.
At this point you can’t slow gens down at default because you would have to exponentially nerf every slow down perk there is. The game isn’t about giving you all the time that you need to down someone it is about you outpacing survivors. If gen speeds were any slower you would have way more killer’s camping. That wouldn’t be good for the game.
I think this is more a issue of the chicken and the egg.
Killers camp&tunnel, because gens fly by so fast. Gens fly by so fast, because killers camp&tunnel.
Now if we turn back time to around before Undying received its nerf. Camping and tunneling threads were non existant. We had tons of threads that complained about Undying but no one complained about camping. Why? Because a killer who wanted to get any benefit out of Undying Ruin, had to constantly switch targets and patrol gens. Basically everything survivors ever wanted.
Yet here we are. Now stack on top of that CoH, which completely killed hit&run and you see why killers camp&tunnel. Because there is no way around it. Sadly.

The most annoying thing that I've encountered lately is going to cover my teammates and then after taking the hook, I see their auras scattered and I end up dying on 1st hook because nobody bothers to come near me. When it's back-to-back matches with the same issues, that's enough to make you quit playing. Yet I find it hilarious that when I play Killer, almost all of the teams find a way to cooperate (not always the case).
Because bad teammates seem to be the main issue here.

Yeah I don't think people realize how much time is lost literally on fixed animations (pickup and hook). Not even counting finding and chasing, every single pick up and hook costs you almost half an entire gen. That's wild for something you can't ever improve on no matter how good you are. Kind of points out why people slug, it saves you so much time.
As you mentioned it also illustrates why everyone feels forced to stack gen slow down perks.
I'd also agree 2-3 gens on first hook is pretty standard for most matches. It makes sense when you not only add in the things we mentioned but also that survivors spawn on the gens and the time you waste crossing the map to even start the first chase.
When i play survivor i either spawn within throwing distance of a gen or a burning totem (or both). Shouldn´t be like that. Devs had an idea for a early game "collapse" kind of mechanic. But that went out of the window, because it was to oppressive.
Losing 3 gens on the first hook no matter how good you play shouldn´t be possible. But its something regular these days. I remember a year or so ago, there was someone who posted a video of a match with no toolboxes, where he lost all gens in less than 4 minutes. Back then, everyone claimed that this is no normal gameplay (killer made no visible mistakes). Now it seems like normal and when someone complains, he gets negative comments.

He plays with meme perks, and goes out of his way to not play optimal. Why should he beat survivors who are playing optimal even if they are slightly below his skill level? It's no secret you are probably going to die quickly if huntress closes the gap on you, some maps will give you nothing to work with against her.
Devs once said, that gen slowdown perks shouldn´t be obligatory. Turns out, they are. Not only when facing survivors of the same skill, but also if you play against survivors with a lower skill level.
Which means the balancing in that regard is far off.

Yes, I also get stressed when I have 3 team mates on the ground and the killer is going for me, because if I go down everyone is dead.
When it comes to "stress" from "scared from being hunted down", that stops after 5 hours.
But why does it have to stop?
A jump scare Myers on an indoor map is fun as hell. Even after countless hours. That's a moment where the game feels like a horror game.
