Gotta love how people complain about the only thing that didn't change during the patch.
Legion is as mendi as he was for the last 2 years.

Um... question, how long did this last before they actually did something about it, and what was the text for BNP? Like "if a gen is completed within 2 seconds of you being on one, complete it" I'm a bit confused from the video
It was like this for over a year since release. Instant repair upon use. If 4 survivors brought 4 BNP and a offering to spawn together. Then they could repair the first gen in coop and the others were just a matter of seconds.
Once they announced the nerf, everyone wanted to use their BNP.

At first I thought it was just a visual bug.
I have uploaded a video to youtube so you can check it out. The first half is the killer and has "Barbecue & Chilli". The second half is a survivor, with "We're Gonna Live Forever".
I know that the "Barbecue & Chilli bonus points" actually add up.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/4D59R1UH5JS3/k1.png
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/QMEAWTSQIQ23/k2.png
The first screen shows a different TOTAL score than the actual total I got, but once I go back and check, the TOAL score I got is correctly shown.
Later, when I was doing the "BLOODY REWARDS" challenge, I realized it was more than just a visual bug.
In the case of "Barbecue & Chilli", the POST-GAME BONUS is not displayed, but only the TOTAL score is added.
I actually get Blood Points, but the "Barbecue & Chilli Bonus Score" is not recorded in the challenge progress.
Next I tried "We're Gonna Live Forever" which has the same effect.
The "We're Gonna Live Forever" still shows the POST-GAME BONUS and adds to the MATCH score and the TOTAL score.
Therefore, the "We're Gonna Live Forever bonus score" is also included in the progress of the challenge.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/EB2RLKELLTUY/s0.png
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/MBOX9NGQWNS6/s2.png
What I can infer from this is that the "Barbecue & Chilli bonus points" were not earned in that game, even though I did in fact earn them. This is the case.
The "We're Gonna Live Forever" and "Barbecue & Chilli" are not consistent.
So, it's not just a display bug, but an internal process that is different. I reported this.
Am I reporting something strange?
What i noticed is, that on the endgame screen i have one amount of bloodpoints and then in the main menu i have another (higher) amount.
So my wild guess is, that its a visual bug.

On a scale from Twins to Blight i´d say around Twins.

That's not a thirty percent drop or even close really. Most characters are about a ten percent drop at most and all are damn near close to 50 percent kills. Again. Any survivor that says "I get out all of the time" is full of it.
Just as any killer that says "it's impossible to play killer" is full of it.
Are we looking at the same stats? Red rank kill rate for Billy went down from almost 80% to 53%

We can see in this graph that the Trapper is the most played character which might be because of the Archives and Rift which makes you have to use him, but as this graph doesn't have a date of the study this is just mere speculation.
Every killer except the Nurse has an average kill rate above 50%, this doesn't mean the Nurse Nerf got her useless but much more lets us see how she isn't played much maybe cause of how hard she is to use in consoles and the learning curve for her on PC (she's in a low pick rate). It would be interesting to know how she's doing for players with lots of hours of gameplay.
Yes.. Freddy has a higher kill rate than Spirit and Hill Billie... Don't you dare start survivors...
Funny thing, the Demogorgon has a lower kill rate than the Clown and from this we can also see that the Demo, Huntress and Clown are the lowest kill rates of them all, but nobody uses the clown, followed by Demo, then Huntress in Pick Rates. I'M NOT MENTIONING THE NURSE HERE cause I adressed her in the previous paragraph.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/543/ZEC901BYLZ6Q.png
Now, for red ranks, whyle the most picked killer is Spirit (maybe due to the nerf she was gonna get, you know, "play as her before she dies") the highest kill rate belongs to lord Freddy, followed by Spirit and Billie, so, yes, they are the three best picks for owning survivors at red ranks.
Every killer has a kill rate average above 60%, Clown, Demo, Nurse and Huntress being the lowest of them followed by Legion. Funny thing is how Huntress is one of the most picked killers, I guess she's fun to play as even if her kill rate is not that good.
The least picked killer is Hag, even when her kill rate is the 4th best of them all, I guess it's not fun to feel as a midget killer, lol, just kidding...
Everybody complaining about Bubba and legion, well, he's not on the lowest three, he's the fourth.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/486/13TUVPBP0O7N.png
Yes, indoors give the match to killers more that wide open maps, but as you can see the maps are practically the same, if the lowest kill rate is 53.99 and the highest is 69.48%, that means the difference between the lowest kill rate map to the highest one is barelly 15.49%, translated to deaths, a 100% means 4k, so, the lowest kill rate map has 2.16k average, whyle the highest has a 2.78k average
IMPORTANT: I believe that the fact that we don't have a graph per platform gives us somehow a subjective point of view, for example, I'm pretty sure the most brutal killer from PC is a good nurse, but the stats are being affected by console players. I could give more examples, ask for them if you want.
Now, if you wanna correct me in something or add something, PLEASE DO, I can edit the post to make everyone understand it better with your help guys.
Hope this is interesting for someone.
IMPORTANT: When looking at the kill rates, have in mind people were doing the challenges of the archives on the dates of the study, whyle the killer ones promote you being ruthless, most of the survivor ones take you off the main objectives so...
And the current ones for comparison

This much I can understand. Survivors played at the highest echelon in an organized team are definitely going to be awful to deal with. I respect the teamwork and cooperation it takes to achieve that though.
But the issue then lies with - with balancing a game for the highest skill level, the players below that suffer tremendously for it. And these high tier players are -always- the minority. There are far more casual, or lower tier etc players in this game than these mega players.
So to fix that imbalance between the 2 types of players--- why not a "ranked mode" -- somewhere these people can go and be sweaty and not ruin the game for the other people just trying to have fun. I dont know... but I for sure don't agree that games should always be balanced based on the best possible outcome.
DbD is the only pvp game that doesn´t balance around the best players. Imagine LoL, R6 or CS balancing around copper ranks.
-
People have been asking for secondary objectives for survivors for years.
Instead we got secondary objectives for killers (breakable walls and boons).

I don't believe any survivor that says they're escaping "most of their matches". Period. Point blank.
The data released by the devs throughout the years have always shown a better than 50 percent kill rate. So maybe there are a small percentage that escape most of their matches, but not nearly as many that proclaim that's the case on the forums. This week in 50 or so games, I probably escaped 10 times. This includes the games I played with friends.
"Well maybe you're just bad". Sure fine, I'm terrible. Okay, then why isn't my MMR dropping to the point where I'm getting easier matches? Hmm.
In my killer games yesterday, I had two games where I got beat pretty badly. No kills, four hooks or less (wraith/trapper). Four k'd games as wraith, pig (3 times), Freddy, and twins.
I get it, why should you believe me but not this other dude that says he escapes most of his matches. Again, the data released simply shows that kill rates are too high to believe that this game is so easy for survivors.
I love how you´re making up a conversation in your head. Since i never claimed to escape most of my matches and i certainly didn´t call you bad or anything (especially since i never spoke to you before this post). My escape rate is high. But i can also have some bad days, where i won´t escape a single match (which, as already stated, originates in my teammates giving up).
The kill rate has dropped around 30% in the last 2 years. Devs even explaining that SWF have a 15% higher escape rate than solos. So with the current kill rate around 50% (some killers slightly below, some slightly above). It looks like an improvement for survivors.
-
I´m surprised that power struggle isn´t meta. Its a stong perk in combination with Flip-Flop and Boil Over.
Hints on how to solve this: don´t slug. Try to down near a wall and not under a pallet.

Thats actually a really good question.
Maybe so it doesn´t stack with Monstrous shrine. But then again, this perk is beyong trash level.

In combination with Power Struggle and Flip-Flop its still kinda strong. I regularly use that combo.

Circle of Healing was just nerfed again yesterday, Dead Hard is getting looked at, and playing and enjoying the killer role are two different things. Maybe try survivor for a while?
Edit: typo.
I know reading the title and jumping to conclusions is tempting. But he literally says in his first line, that he´s escaping most of his survivor matches.
Anyway, back to topic:
I can confirm a high escape rate. Main thing thats preventing escapes are suicides/disconnects. CoH is still strong, since the "hard nerf" just increased the healing by 3 seconds. So i still use it with success.

Well I dont care for other game modes personally as that's not what my issue is for me.
I'm not a fan of splitting the playerbase either, but I'll take a non ranked mode. It will suck for some people I verse because I'm good but I want to be able to play for fun
Splitting the playerbase sounds bad on one hand. But on the other hand, a huge amount of players quit the game for one reason or another. Having more game modes might just be the thing they wait for, so they actually come back.

I do find it odd that the top players are ignored

I actually respect this take for yourself, you have the right thing in mind communitywise but this doesnt help the healthstate of the game in my opinion. Personally i would like to play vs Bubba hes a fun killer to face in chase but aslong as these players dont want to play and win only through a cheap design imbalance that rewards bad and toxic players which gameplay wise spreads frustration and boredom i will keep boycotting this specific design flaw. Im not a selfish person and there are many other small and big issues i sit through in this game but when it goes into trash level game design, i dont deal with this anymore. Punish people as much as you want when you think thats the right way to deal with the design issues of the game but at one point they simply wont come back.

Address a killer being able to stand still in front of a hooked survivor for a guaranteed kill, with zero counter play.
And no, they shouldn’t. It’s a feature built into the game itself, with accompanying perks and offerings. Thought you might already know this after over 11,200 posts on the forums. If people can’t kill themself on the hook, they’ll either just eat the DC penalty anyways, AFK, or ultimately.. go play another game altogether.
You have to understand, that camping is a intended game mechanic from the beginning of the game. Bubba perfectioned it and the counter is to do gens. Does it suck for the person on the hook who might not escape? Sure! But at least that person can buy the rest of the team some precious time to finish all gens, which might you buy a chance to get a rescue.
Disconnecting or suiciding in protest won´t lead anywhere except more salt.
-
So... just normal DbD?

@Impalpable said:

Let me rephrase this question for you:
Do you really think, people play camping bubba, to tactical throw the game after the first down, deny most chases which is widly percieved as the only fun part of the game for the players and get a possible cheap 2nd kill in the endgame that will annoy this specific survivor?
I think its a factor to play as bubba for sure for some people. This game has already the highest toxicity factor i have ever seen in a multiplayer and camping bubba players seem to be on the upper end for killer because of their high ignorance about other players fun. I also can't really imagine its fun standing next to a hook the whole match, so the fun must lie in denying other peoples fun. This range of toxicity in my opinion is between passively ruining the fun of other players with this pathetic playstyle to well the maximum hate you can archieve as a killer which surly is a goal for some.
Beside that im pretty sure some new players and midtier players who got bullied might switch to bubba because of his camping efficiency and want to pay back this way.
Also i would appreciate to not start a boring meme diashow and try to keep a halfway good discussion.
I´m sorry, but i find it ridiculous at what lengths some people try to justify disconnecting or suiciding, when they don´t like the killer or how the match goes. Imagine killers would do the same. Disconnect the moment they see 4 flashlights, or when 2 gens have popped before they got the first hook. You would sit in a queue, finally get a match only to get kicked back into the lobby after just 2 minutes. Fun right?
No one would play then. Survivors disconnect for reason X and killers for reason Y.
Btw. You stating, that you´ll dc when you see a camping bubba implies, that you enter the match, thinking exactly that.
Disconnecting robs your teammates the chance to have a decent game. There is no excuse to dc and we have the penalty for a good reason.
I´ve seen my fair share of matches, that could have ended in a 3 or 4 man escape but it all went downhill, because 1 survivor decided to dc/suicide. Imagine you disconnect the first match, then the next one another survivor disconnects, the next one a third survivor disconnects at the start, etc. Thats terrible for someone who barely has time to play.
-
@Impalpable said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2929546#Comment_2929546
Its pretty utopian to think that a Bubba will get no downs within the whole duration of a match and as soon as he gets this the fun begins. Yea safe unhooks in solo q vs Bubba lets rely on that.. you have a dark humor.
Wouldnt necessary agree, people who care about wins play nurse. People who play the camping version of bubba care about ruining the day for other people. It doesnt matter for them if they play low mmr and get a 4k out of new players who want to save their friends in the basement or get a low amount of bloodpoints vs decent players and only make 1k. Im even pretty sure some of them will be stubborn enough to think they have won no matter what the outcome of a game is.
I think its foolish to think that anything you do as a player vs him will change the player count of Bubbas. If theres anything that influences that number then the factor that chases get to less rewarded in high mmr and bubba is the most reliable camping killer.
So you really think that bubba players power up the game, just to ruin someone elses day?
-

Bhvr Please stop trying to make dbd a competitive game, this is just embarrassing. There's TOO MANY unbalances in this game to be a tournament scene.

I mean, imagine a CS or LoL tournament with people that never played any of those games. Same result.

Usually the tournaments are run by some private people (Streamers or something like that) who make up their rules. Obviously DBD is no tournament game and the tournament-scene is pretty laughable.

Bubbas who do this don't care about bp, pips or even winning. You're reasoning in incorrect assumptions, which affects the ensuing conclusions.
Gifting them a 4k sure will discourage them from continuing playing like this. Just as much as the -rep message on the killers profile.

@Impalpable said:

Theres no reason to deflect the topic, this is about camping bubbas, not camping in general. If camping Bubbas were the only thing this game has to offer then yes i wouldnt play it 100%.
What is this screenshot like really - Do you keep screenshots when you have won vs an afk killer as well? Proud to have beaten the gen simulator? Because this is in core a game vs Bubba.
But the bubba isn´t afk. Otherwise he wouldn´t have downed you and your teammates could have saved you without risking anything.
Suiciding or disconnecting against a camping bubba is just selfish. You ruin the match for your teammates. Even more, when you hold out and your teammates complete all gens, then its most likely, that the bubba barely gets any more points than the survivor he camped. Which will hurt the bubba player. Since he barely got points and depiped.
However, if you disconnect or suicide, than the bubba player will most likely get a 3 or 4k and earn a nice amount of points. Which then encourages this player to continue with this playstyle.
In other words: the more you rage quit, the more camping bubbas you´ll face.
-
The SBMMR changes did nothing, because the core issue is the horrible balancing. DbD is the first pvp game that balances around the lower skilled players instead of balancing around the top players.

Oh i talk about both sides, i did win vs those i did loose vs those people. These Matches are generic. Even if i would be the teammate who could do the gens and 3 people escape then, i would still dc. Theres no more experience to gain, its pure apathy and boredom. I dont care about bloodpoints or pip, i want an interesting match and see nice plays with skill involved which this isnt, this is no gameplay - its playing tic tac toe vs a mountain goat. I can play minesweeper and it will be more interesting.
If you dc/suicide the moment a killer camps, then i wouldn´t play at all.
This is how my last match looked. If he wouldn´t have rage quit on the first hook, more people could have escaped.

I wouldnt count being stuck with a camping bubba in a trial as gameplay thats an exaggeration, if you give me a bot feature which will do the gens for me i might let the game run in the background as there is only one way of gameplay anway and do something else in that time since it doesnt require individual input from myself otherwise i cant be asked to stay in this boring farming simulator.
Im sorry if i missunderstand this and you wanted to suggest to disconnect as soon as you spot the bubba instead of playing the game a bit and die on the hook then as the better option since its possible even more efficient timewise to get into an actual game instead.
You´re not stuck. You see, thats the whole problem. If you would just hold out on the hook, while your team does gens. Then there is a chance that they complete all gens before you die.
A couple of weeks ago i had a camping bubba. No big deal, i went down first, but kept him busy long enough that 3 gens were completed. Now the other survivors completed another gen, before a David did a hook trade with BT. Bubba did another down while i finished the last gen. 3 survivors escaped (almost 4, but he got me at the exit gate).
All in all a great match. Which wouldn´t have happend if i suicided like some people suggest.

Hook suicides should be treated as disconnects. Same time out penalty for ruining the rest of the players game.

To be fair, the core gameplay isnt rich, Killers' perk is mostly about Gen, Aura
One biggest issues that in order to make 2K 2E balance. 5 Gens must be done every match, because thats the only possible way for 2E.
I wish they could make the core gameplay to make 4E is almost impossible, in return there is more accessible way for 2E without requiring all Gens to be complete.
It could be simple as the completed Gen required = number of alive survivor + 2. Where Killer can either try for more hooks at 5/6 Gen done, or kill a survivor to trigger Gates powered.
Balancing around kills/escapes is a mistake. Someone could get 3 hooks and 3 kills and then would be considered a better killer than someone who got 8 hooks but no kills.

I see, guess I can't meme without a 5 gen pop, lol.
The issue is, that the devs are against stacking slowdown perks. They also said once, that a killer shouldn't feel forced to equip a gen slowdown perk.
Yet, when killers actually play without them against decent survivors, than the match won't last 5 minutes.
The last 4 killers all had 1 or more slowdown perks. So the devs see the issue. But try to fix it with perks.
-
Yes, it's completely possible and one of the reasons why killers stack gen slowdown perks.
This has been pointed out in the past, with video evidence that the killer didn't make any mistakes and people played it down, that not every match is like this.
-
He's still a C tier killer.
Funnily enough, on the day of his patch, I played a couple of matches against him, before the patch actually dropped and my teammates went down to his power and played terrible against him. Almost like they wanted to make him look OP.
-
1. Pinhead also didn't get a map. Which is a shame, since all killers deserve their own map.
2. He is a m1 killer to begin with, with a power that might slow him down more that a survivor. Experienced survivors know how and when to trigger his box. Which renders his secondary completely useless.
His high kill rate seems to come from the fact that so many survivors disconnect or suicide against him. While he isn't really a strong killer.
