- I haven´t noticed a difference on CoH. Unless you are running it with a stop clock, you won´t notice the nerf. Its still a game changer.
- Surprisingly little killers use sloppy or addons that cause it. Maybe because its not as powerful as thought.
-
Nope

While i agree, that both Charlotte and Victor should get more matching outfits. I´m afraid the amount of people that main them is in the single digits.

So if comp is known to be unbalanced, even with the egregious rules, where does that leave ranked?

Survivors have long queues, because no one wants to play killer and your solution is to force people to play that role?

Not the full function, at least make the 4 Hooks/Saves = Double BP gain be basekit. There is no reason BHVR should keep the BP Economy the way it is...
Or they could reverse the WGLF bloodpoint nerf and ramp up the BBQ bonus. WGLF used to give 200% bonus bloodpoints on release.

No Mither should give bonus points. Something like a 200% bloodpoint bonus. Since its turning the game into hard mode.

Don't hope for it. These were the guys that mentioned Early Game collapsed, Dead Hard Changes and other promises Years ago and haven't delivered anything.
Tbf, DH was kinda buffed.

Why not make hex perks relightable like boons? They are supposed to be "high risk, high reward" perks. But in 90% of the matches, 1 or mor hexes are gone within the first minute of the match.
-
Hiding the hook stages hurts survivors more than showing them. Simply because a killer who wants to tunnel someone out, will know that said survivor is on death hook. Meanwhile a killer who tries to even out hooks, might accidentally kill a survivor, when he just wanted to get the second hook.

People usually complain when the killer stacks slowdown perks and you prefer those over a build that reduces aura reading?

A killer uses a build with no gen slowdown and you consider it not fun?

Clan tags. Doesn´t matter if they are in my team or if i face them. They usually throw the game in order to make the match as miserable as possible for the killer.
-
I find it especially interesting how many hooks the top tier streamers get, before the gates are powered. More often than not, they get 5 or 6 hooks and only manage to get kills, because the survivors are trying to get everyone out. Which can snowball hard at this point.
Now on paper those matches look in the killers favor, because only the kills matered. Buuut it really isn´t the same, when the survivors only died, because they wanted to get a 4 man escape.

Always fun to face. True mindgames instead of running in circles.

Yes. Pretty much

Today i thought to myself, its been a while since i played more than 1 killer match for the daily. So why not play a couple of rounds as Huntress.
First match: 3 hooks before the first gen was completed. 9 hooks in total = 1k and the survivors called me trash killer after the match. Despite the fact that i didn´t tunnel or camp.
Second match: all gens done by the time i get my 5th hook. The last survivor gets left behind, no rescue attempt. "gg ez" (escaping survivors had less points than the dead survivor.)
I really don´t see what could possibly drive killers to camp and tunnel...
Total mistery to me...

it's not about he being OP, is about facing him 3~4 times in a row!!!
Whenever a new killer releases, people play them intensely for a couple of days/weeks. This buff isn't any different. People just want to test him out. I've already seen survivors that learned to completely shut down his power.
Give it a couple of weeks and everything goes back to normal.
What's really concerning is, that you don't see GF. He also got a rework and people don't seem to happy with it.
-
The buff certainly brought back a lot of killers. Which is definetly a great thing. Nerfing Legion could result in far less people willing to play killer.

So an abuse that no longer exists (using DS anytime you wanted to) invalidates the still recurring issue that survivors feel the need to bring DS and BT in almost every match because of how rampant Camping is? Maybe you need to stop living in the past.
I actually DONT think you understand how frustrating it is. Do you think killers were not camping when old Undying was in play? Please just stop. You are just digging yourself deeper and deeper my friend. I bet you also must think killers play nice when nobody has Dead Hard or Circle of Healing equipped too huh? Riiiiiight.
How am i digging myself deeper? I´ve been playing almost only survivor for the last month (played so little killer, that i didn´t even left ash grades). But i don´t feel forced to take DS or BT like you claim. In fact i´m using more often than not so called meme builds, which are surprisingly effective. But since they are not meta... they get laughed at.
Stop living in the past? Uhm thats not what i´m doing. What i´m doing is remember how certain things used to be. Because if someone doesn´t learn from the past, then he´s doomed to repeat the same mistakes.
I personally had no camping killers, when Undying Ruin was originally released. I had some basement bubbas, but they didn´t use Undying. Had your camping killers with Undying Ruin? Sounds terrible ineffective. Since Ruin has no effect on gens that are being worked on.
Oh and you lost that bet. Unlike most survivor mains, that claimed that CoH won´t be used once its (3 second) nerf goes live. I still use it and its still pretty strong. Currently i´m testing SB to see if those that claim that a DH nerf would bring back the "much stronger SB" do have a point and i have to tell you, that they don´t.

Face-camping - A killer standing in front of a hooked survivor until that survivor dies on hook.
I see it about every 3 to 5 matches. I don't see how you're not seeing it, unless you do have a different definition of face-camping?
Oh so you went from "
Everyone who plays survivor gets face-camped and tunneled out of the game without being able to counter it, hence the issue."to once every 3 to 5 matches. You realize that theres a big difference between those 2 statements.

I never said survivors hated DS and BT, wth? LOL Dude learn to read and then get back to me.
So now you're bringing up old DS? This is EXACTLY what I am talking about. How do you go from saying that survivors aren't forced to bring DS or BT → to → "OH but they do it during Endgame!" → to → Survivors weaponized old DS. As if that is suppose to counter argue? my point about survivors wanting to bring OTHER builds not necessarily stronger ones, but because they see camping so much they opt not to.
You know in order for DS to work the killer has to go for the person recently unhooked right? Like, I am just wondering now.
Oh i can read between the lines. Your point of survivors being "forced" to equip BT and DS because they get camped. Is invalidated by the sheer fact that survivor used the old weaponized DS when they didn´t fear being camped. They took it to troll the killer.
Btw. the DS timer is 60 seconds. Which can be a very long time, when the killer gets hook intensive matches. Where he still gets hit by DS, even when he hooked someone else in between. Happens quite often to Otz.
Look, i understand how frustrating it must be for you, when you get camped at 5 gens. But that just gives the other survivors time to complete gens. Since a camping killer is a passive killer. You don´t have to take BT or DS. In fact, i only equip BT when i have a challenge to get X amount of save rescues. Not because i hook dive, more because some of my teammates have the bad habit of running straight to the killer. So feel free to take other perks instead of BT and DS. It might require a change in play, but as you said: "good killers wait out the timer" means they also expect a BT, when you don´t have it. Same happend to DS. Killers always respect the DS, even when there is none in play.
If you really want the killers to camp less, then ask the devs to revert the Undying nerf. Because in the time between the release of Undying and its nerf. The amount of camping threads on this forum was on a record low. For the simple reason that every killer who wanted to get anything out of the Undying Ruin combo, had to constantly move, spread damage and patrol gens. Aka not camping. It was a glorious time. I loved it back then, even when i had to cleanse 5 hex totems on my own. But somehow other people didn´t like the gameplay and demanded the Undying nerf. I even advised against it, since i predicted that camping would increase. Wanna know what i got in response? "i prefer a camping killer over the free win of Undying Ruin".

Oh so now we’re at “endgame” huh? Always trying to fit a situation to fit your narrative.
Stop trying to steer the conversation. You say that BT gets brought because survivors like to play recklessly and don’t care if the killer turns their back but never because they have been camped for the millionth time in a row right? Nah never because of that at all. Survivors must just really love this perk and not want to use other perk builds. 😂
On the last question, yes I have played with good survivors, they also don’t just dive bomb hooks simply because they have a perk that gives endurance for the next 12 seconds. Have you played against good killers? Because they will wait the 12 seconds.
I´m not trying to fit a narrative or anything. It was never specified WHEN the killer camps. What narrative are you trying to fit? That camping killers are OP? Or that survivors need more stuff to deal with camping?
So you´re saying that survivors actually hate DS and BT? That they just take them, because they have no choice and instead would prefer to take something else, more powerful? I guess you just started playing after the DS nerf, before that, survivors weaponized DS to finish a gen in front of the killer.
Good killers wait the 12 seconds? Mhhh i´ll try to remember that, while every healthy survivor does a line up, protecting the injured survivor on the way to the gate.

The reason I think this is because every killer has a different playstyle. As such, this results as some killers being much easier than others. (Onryo, Clown, etc)
This is also the reason why someone like Clown doesn't need to be on the same skill level as someone like nurse. This would make the game unfun and unfair.
The unfun and unfair part depends on the perspective. Don´t you think? Clown being weak, certanly makes the game fun and fair in the eyes of the survivors he´s playing against.

Yeah it is pretty bad. I will say it's a bit less bad since the DS nerf but I still 100% get the survivors that get unhooked and just hold W straight over to me when I am the killer to try and force DS.
With SBMM, gen speeds, and the average skill of a survivor player usually being decent I am finding old meta slowdown builds to be kinda useless. Even on someone with mobility Pop just does nothing. You spend just as much time going to the gen and kicking it as it saves you, and you throw the next chase to kick a gen first.
People will say "Just don't camp and tunnel" when the killer cannot be in 4 places at once and a single bad chase can lose you 3 gens. Or maybe not even a bad chase, just a super safe map can automatically lose you a ton of gens if you don't have a build / killer who can deal with it.
I have been using Corrupt Deadlock sometimes and it does solve the problem a bit, but also puts you on such a limited clock that you are essentially forced into tunneling someone to death before half your perks become useless.
As much as I hate DMS + Pain Res I am about to just give up the Pop life and convert. Pop is good against mediocre survivors where you can get a few hooks in but against really good ones you almost don't have time to kick a single gen on the weaker killers. I am routinely losing 1-2 gens before corrupt is over even with pretty solid first chases.
Same. I´ve tested corrupt and most of my matches, 1-2 gens are done before it runs out. Even when i get hooks in that time. It just changes what gens get done first and can ruin a good 3 gen.
Gen speeds have been insane and i´m not surprised killers stack 3 gen slowdown perks to even stand a chance.
So killers camping because of that. Just seems how it is.

Okay serious question to the 10 people who main Pinhead. If you become 100% accurate with his chain shot hitting at least 9/10 of your shots, is he at all effective in chase against meta survivors or does he still hugely struggle?
Basekit his chains are only effective against lesser skilled survivors. Good survivors will barely get slowed down by his chain.
He can be effective with addons. But is to addon dependant in my opinion.

Which is at least in part, why killers started camping more.
Correct.
This is also the reason, why i don´t understand the whole sbmmr, when the devs themselves stated once, that basing it purely on kills/escapes would be a terrible idea.
-
@Icaurs said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2939095#Comment_2939095
Or you can say the opposite. killers have determined that camping and tunnelling is the most efficient way to secure kills, as you usually will get at least 2. Behaviour has further encouraged this by adding more perks that slow down gen speeds, without the killer needing to much, or even go near the gen. Corupt, deadlock, dead man's switch, pain resonance. As a response, survivors have needed to become more efficient on generators, as its the only way to ensure they can have the objective completed before the survivor being camped, dies.
Well sadly the sbmmr is just like the Victory Cube. Which guaranteed a pip if the killer got 2 kills + 1 hook but was a depip if a killer got 8 hooks with no kill.
The system simply valued camping killers over more skilled killers.

This thread reads like you talking to a wall.
Didnt Marths experiments have some general strategy like "camp gens, check if a unhook might be dangerous, unhook or go back to camping gens" ?
Yeah conms make stuff easy but even without them survivor should be able to get this done. Emphasis on "should", sadly.
Normal survivors can (sometimes easily) work together but deep down, survivors only care if they themselves get camped or tunneled, its not that camping or tunneling are bad, they're mad they died. Or that they have to qait for their swf buds to finish the trial.
Noone needs to try to prove otherwise; Once 2 are dead, the remaining survs ever do is wait for the other to die first, be it for hatch or pity-gate-power.
Yeah i don´t get that focus on escaping to the point that some people throw the game. If i´m one of the 2 last survivors, i´ll do gens in the hope the other one can loop the killer, or i´ll try to keep the killer busy in the hope that the other one does gens. Which sometimes ends in really tense matches.
Escaping is nothing more than a 5k bloodpoint bonus to me. I´ll gladly trade hooks against a camping killer, if that benefits the rest of the team. (say the guy on the hook is about to go to second stage or even die and i haven´t been hooked yet.)

Yeah, I think that most of the time, once you get to a certain level the majority of the players you get matched with will have enough game sense to know how and when to coordinate. Obviously not always because potatoes seemingly find their way in with some frequency, but more often than not.
It'll never be as tight as a comms SWF, but most of the time my solo teammates seem to have a decent idea of what the play should be, and how to pull it off.
One of the first questions I always have in these camping debates is how are we defining camping? Most of the time it's pretty loose, or the complainant expects the killer to leave the hook when other other survs are clearly around, circling for the save. What it really boils down to is this: did the team give the killer a compelling reason to leave the hook? If that answer is no, then the "camping" is a direct result of poor survivor play.
And I don't camp as a practice, but in the end game I will try to secure kills any way I can (especially if a surv is hooked near a gate), and fending off a coordinated save by good survs with anyone outside of Bubba can be one of the harder things to do as a killer.
Thank you! I was already beginning to think, that i´m the only one who is matched with decent teammates.
Tbh, i´ve seen everything. Killer playing perfectly fine with no camping at all and the endgame chat full of salt and camping complaints. Do we have killers that camp at 5 gens? Sure, absolutely! But most of the time a little camping is justified (survivor hooked in between a 3 gen or endgame). I can´t get mad at the killer for trying to win the game by using the optimal strategy in those moments. Because it makes perfectly sense.
At this point it gets more enfuriating how some teammates behave at the beginning of the match. Like out of 6 matches i´ve played today, in 3 a survivor (or 2) disconnected before the first hook or gen was done. Those are not impossible to win. But can be hard (escaped in 2 of them).
A camping bubba on the other hand is only a issue if the team starts to stand around the hook instead of doing gens. Like, they are doing exactly what the killer hopes for.

Bro ur experiences are not universal lmao protection hit? That 90% of the time only works in SWF scenarios. Most lobbies I get survivors are scared to unhook someone if the killers terror radius is still audible. If a killer face camps he potentially gets the whole team. If a survivor camps a gen u just kick it like ???? As I said its a false symmetry
I play solo all the time. I see protection hits and coordination even among solo players. Maybe its a sbmmr thing, that you only see survivors scared to unhook someone.
