Int3r4ct's channel on youtube is pretty handy for learning in depth about killer addons and decent builds

I kicked off on most killers using his guides cz they have the numbers for pretty much everything related to that killer, but skill-wise his videos are a bit lacking (so that's not quite what I'm looking for rn).

When I want to learn advanced things with a killer I usually go to https://dbd.onteh.net.au/ and search for the top players of said killer. Usually you'll find some random japanese or korean that streams on Twitch or Youtube that makes Dowsey/Otz/OhTofu look like baby killers lol.

That's a reasonable approach, thanks for a good advice.

  • For more of a joke it might look like, it's the key part of nurse gameplay indeed.

    Nice drawing, btw.

Otzdarva is currently working on a PH guide, iirc it´s supposed to be released this week.

With all respect to otz, I'm looking for content made by people who are stronger than me by a more significant margin than him. So far PH has been the hardest one to find guides for.

  • I'm guessing the person you are talking about is some dbd streamer? What's the point of this thread?

  • Spam filter is automatic and treats edits as consecutive posts, so you need to wait for 30-60 seconds to avoid it. Having over 100 posts (as Mooks suggests) doesn't quite help here, sadly.

Comments tagged as potential spam are sent to mods for manual review, which might take a while depending on their availability.

  • Whoops, I was late to the party apparently.

I'll get outright toxic messages over the psn with words I cant repeat here. I'm not sure how they would enforce that one. I get they usual survivors teabagging, which doesn't usually bother me that much but it's still there. I get survivors throwing games in various way like not doing any gens at all or sandbagging me or friends I'm playing with in ways that are obvious not to do. I'm talking the scenarios where their bad decision making is obviously more than them being bad at the game. Killers hard camping, tunneling and excessive slugging for the 4k past the point of it making sense. Like when they slug you or your teammate at endgame until one of you bleeds out because they just need it that bad. Like seriously just hook me and end the match; I'm not like this on killer It's just so incredibly unsportsmanlike like. It's like people dont realize everyone's just trying to have a good time and they are ruining it or they like making others have a bad time. Which is toxic by definition.

Vast majority of what you listed is not bannable.

Please refer to Rules section of the forum before spamming reports on every ocasion when you are displeased by something. Reports are processed manually and meaningless submissions delay the bans to be issued based on "actual" reports.

half true, half false. You can only stun a killer with a flashlight when a killer is carrying another survivor in their grasp - blinding a killer while doing so will cause them to drop the survivor, stun them for 5 seconds, and as well blind them.

I'm not entirely sure whether killer grasp saves, as well as lightburns, count towards the stun quest. Technically neither of those is marked as a "killer stun".

  • Flashlight has a separate action called "killer blind". It is not - and has never been - counted towards stun quests. The only sources of stuns are pallets, head ons, DS's and wiggle outs.

  • Yes. Your progress is linked to your steam account rather than any device that you might use to access it.

  • (I haven't tested it, but...) Iron maiden applies exposed status effect when a survivor leaves the locker. Survivor using deception doesn't enter the locker in the first place.

I would change nurse's calling for knockout, then your slug build would be completed.

Removing sloppy makes more sense, since this perk doesn't affect recovery speed anyways.

  • Servers' questionable quality supposes a rather significant latency of all the players involved, resulting among other issues into two following problems:

    1) if the killer flicks really fast before hitting you, you might get the animation displayed after the hit was validated

    2) server and/or killer might see you at a spot you were at half a second ago and validate a hit there if your connection is poor. From killer's perspective, they will see your downed body teleporting 1-2 meters away from the spot they downed you at, as your position is then adjusted.

Thanks for the info I really appreciate it! I try to upload the video but it keeps saying it took too long and timed out instantly everytime I even press to add the file do you know a way to fix that too? I've tried refreshing

As an easy solution, you could upload it to google drive or something else of the kind and then attach a link.

  • First of all, it is definetely bannable.

Secondly, assuming you already reported them in-game, you need to follow up and submit a support ticket with all the evidence/details you got.

  • It's part of what Victor does; you can't escape for some time after removing him.

  • Power outrages are a problem on your end, and they affect other players' experience in the same way as ragequits. If you are experiencing connection issues often enough to annoy you, you shouldn't be playing online games and ruin other players' matches in the first place.

When did godzilla ever read? Would have made more sense if he could read. Hence don't try so hard next time.

He could read all along, but not anymore, poor beast

  • No offense, but

    image.png

  • Each sets their own standards. I see it as a loss.

  • Laggswitching and actual laggs are distinguishable mostly by their results, and this player looks like someone with poor connection.

You can check players'ping in-game to see what's going on, btw.

  • It's an old glitch.

    Just saying.

  • You lose collision when getting a hit, so if the killer makes a mistake and hits/downs you at the right time, you get a small window to use the hatch.

If they just stand, there's nothing you can do, though.

  • First of all, the game's optimisation is at least questionable and decent specs don't guarantee that it will run smoothly. Secondly, there's no universal answer as to what to do to improve its performance.

    You can try the following:

1). Increase your virtual memory (paging file size).

2). If you notice more frame drops/stuttering after you already played dbd for a while, reboot it every 3-4 matches. This game has a memory leak.

  • Last time I read about this issue, it involved both trapper and hag and was map-specific (for updated maps). Thus it was considered to be a bug.

However, if you can't place gate traps on other maps, it means something is extremely wrong.

  • @Mozzie said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/126137/bully-simulator

So here's the issue you are running into if my suspicions are correct. The killer pool is so low right now that in order to keep the queue times lower for survivors the game grabs the first available killer. Now if there are more variables to be taken into consideration with the coding I'm uncertain but I believe that's how it works. Unfortunately for you every time bE does something to piss off killers they stop playing killer so folks like yourself and your gf get the short end of the stick.

This post is nearly 1 year old.

    Just saying.

  • He's weak against slopes, particularly basement stairs (assuming he's below). Vaults and dropped pallets give you some room as well, since Victor is forced to pounce through or go around, but eventually he will catch up anyways. Talking about abnormal tiles, if you know pounce land distance well enough, you can stay relatively safe around some god windows/god pallets - Victor either pounces over and gets destroyed, or goes somewhere else.

The best way to deal with Victor is to have a teammate around ready to kick him and heal you from the dying state before killet gets there. Chase-wise you are always facing an equivalent of frenzied legion (but with an ability to down people) - unless the killer messes up, you can't avoid getting hit.

  • 1) report them in-game

    2) submit a support ticket here: support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us/requests/new. Issue type - Additional player report information

    3) attach all the evidence you have to the ticket (recordings, steam IDs, etc.)

For more info, refer to corresponding forum section (see below):

  • FF speed was 4.6 m/s in 4.4.0 patch, it is better now but apparently still slower than 5.2 m/s it should be.

  • 1) some people don't have them since it's the newest killer

    2) a lot of bugs, both with gameplay (mainly related to Victor) and emblem scoring

    3) twins are overall not very strong as of now

  • @TragicSolitude said:

It works. I've managed to pull it off three times so far.

I've also had it fail on me—once when picked up at a pallet and possibly once when being carried past a pallet—so I don't think all the kinks are worked out.

You should stop struggling to get a pallet drop option to function, could it be the reason there?

  • Yes, it does work as of now, and you can insta drop a pallet once picked up.

  • I assume you don't have corrupted yet? It's likely to be 2nd best huntress perk after bbq, with whispers being a close third.

Nurses is good, murmur is mainly good for practice (as well as iron maiden), bloodwarden works more often than not, pgtw or ruin/undying are also used by some players.

  • Unless I completely missunderstand you, it's not a bug.

3 iri + silver chaser is a default output of 12 hooks bubba game just because it's bubba. M2 one-shot abilities give you the same amount of "hits" points as M1 attacks and reduce "chaser" points too, stealing half of your emblem score as a result.

For adept achievements you are forced to M1 a lot (myers and plague work in a similar way, latter one being much tougher than bubba for her adept achievement). It is suboptimal in terms of trying to win the match, but that's how current emblems work.

Thanks for the replies and great information y'all. Would anyone recommend dead harding early then instead of waiting for the killer to start their attack animation? Not going to lie, I usually wait till I see the start of a weapon lifting and when it works, it's wonderful. The last week though, I've been getting the exhausted on the floor issue. I know hit validation has been off due to Oni issues which is understandable.

I'd say vast majority of decent players barely ever use dh to dodge hits (unless it's nurse/spirit/huntress). It's used to to a pallet/vault in time when being slightly late otherwise; this way dh wins you a lot of time rather reliably.

  • I shall admit sometimes I feel like nodding is appropriate.

Failed cj techs, questionable flashlight blinds allowing killer to legion tech, teabagging survivor behind a pallet slightly missing the timings and dying to a hatchet, failed corner techs and so on.

  • I played several actual matches outside of KYF.

FF is currently slower than 5.2, probably about 5.0. Lunge attack in FF goes further than standard lunge distance, but is still shorter than it should be (this one is easier to notice than m/s issue from my perspective).

I don't have any recording software, so I can only offer suggestions: it can be tested on maps with long empty parts (azarov will work). Addonless legion runs for the whole ff duration in a straight line and stop as soon as fatigue state starts. The survivor player then runs the exact same route with a timer. If everything works correctly, it should take him 5.2*10/4=13s.

  • Server latency causes this perk to not trigger from server's perspective if you use it at the very last moment or if killer had high latency.

Hit validation is currently killer-sided so their game "version" has priority.
