Thanks but I still don’t understand why people say he’s better than others cause atleast Billy can curve and slinger can counter windows and hit long ranges
Bubba has none of that
Because he let's his prey come to him when he gets a down, he isn't supposed to chase all 4

Its important to understand that the "meta" changes as perks get buffed, nerfed and reworked. Due to perks like Off the Record and Bite the Bullet being common Spirit struggles as she is a sound dependent killer.
Shes A tier for goodness sakes i just put her at the bottom of A tier shes still very good. As far as Artist goes her usage is extremely low and that's because she gets overshadowed by stronger killers. She's good at loops but shes slow like most killers. Shes good too just not in A tier imo.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3209835#Comment_3209835
Underwhelming? Her teleport has very little to no cooldown and you are "forced" to insert vhs tapes into the tv's because of condemned. Once fully condemned she gets a notification and your intoxious stared! Now this overall kit with certain builds is outright terrifying because you "have" to interact with the tv's. If you dont she can teleport there. Then even if you "do" reduce your condemned meter she has a perk that shows her the yellow aura of any tv that is turned off "by any means" which means she knows your over there. She also gets a small burst of speed upon emerging from a television which is good.
She can also walk around undetectable (although there is a slight lulluby of sorts) at 4.6 which no other killer can do. I play her at high mmr, no one really survives my Sadako yet i lose with weaker killers at times using the same builds at times and even on disadvantage maps, theres a reason for this! Sadako is strong, people dont know Sadako!
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3209841#Comment_3209841
Trapper isnt higher than C because hes too rng now putting him in C+? I can see that but the reason i put him near the top of C is because most maps created dont have Trapper in mind and these maps are extremely bad for Trapper otherwise in reality hes not that good. His best maps are Yokohoma, MacMillan Estate and "maybe" Elementary School.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3209863#Comment_3209863
I wreck survivor with her 3k and 4king 90% of the time! Sadako is ridiculous!

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3209892#Comment_3209892
Its arguable or debatable i'll give you that. The other killers are a little better though because they're not as slow as Pyramid Head!
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3209914#Comment_3209914
Twins? I'll give you that one but my stance on them stands atm.
Sadako is top tier easily not mid tier!
Hag gets hits for free and doesnt need to chase! Her camping game is the best and she is easy to use. Top 3 killer easily! No killer plays the game like Hag does and she takes players out of they're element. Your right its not 2020 anymore its 2022 and Hag is bullshit! lol
Spirit is not "absurly low" you are overexagerating! She in A tier and she definitely isnt S!
Billy? I'll give you that, its debatable for sure.
Pinhead should maybe move up in that tier but hes not A.
Artist is overrated. If she was so "top tier" she would be used more. People play all those killers above her but they dont really play Artist, theres a reason for that.
Legion, Pig, Ghostface and Trickster suck compared to the other killers. Especially Pig, shes horrible imo.
Myers is better than Clown!
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3209920#Comment_3209920
Whats so funny!? There is no "large margin" Doctor is "one tier" above Artist.
OK, with your logic of "if she was so OP she would be used more" we would see Sadako non stop, but ever since her release, I can count the amount of times I've seen her on 2 hands, maybe even 1

Hi all,
With more and more power given to killers (as it should be) I've been thinking are we at a point we don't need to show what the survivors have, I think it's time killers have to put up with the same mystery survivors have to deal with for the sake of the health of both sides.
Perks like Lightborn, Franklins, and sloppy shouldn't be brought just because you can see items. Yes survivors can last second switch but it's hardly fun for either side, and results in dodging. I feel it's a relic from a simpler time and I feel having mystery for both sides would be healthier for the game as a whole.
Imagine if the survivors could see what killer you were playing in the lobby, wouldn't be nice to have perks constantly brought to counter you would it? lol
I mean, I've legit never taken lightborn off of doc, and I never look at the preparation screen anyways

Because if the developers cared about accessibility, it would've been changed to not trigger epilepsy years ago. Clicking flashlights has been a feature ever since the beginning. Not once did the developers care to cater to that part of the community.
I am criticising the developers for not having a backbone. it's a PR message to protect themselves had they gotten backlash.

- Phase 2 of our Prestige Catchup mechanic: Characters which were level 50 prior to the 6.1.0 update will receive 2 Prestige levels, as if they had been prestiged before the update.
Not sure which mod to tag to try to get an answer on this.
So prior to the patch I among others prestiged a bunch of characters to get them to be boosted to tier 3 in the patch, 25 in my case, at least half of which i took from level 1 to 50 and prestiged.
In this process I lost millions of BP worth of items, offerings, and add-ons, had i known about this second stage I probably wouldnt have bothered and just waited it out on most of them.
So my question is will there be compensation for players who prestiged pre patch and lost out on a bunch of stuff?
Not making any demand but maybe the 2 bonus prestiges could apply to people who prestiged in the month before the patch or something.
It's only 2 prestige levels, you can get that so fast now because of the item cost reduction

I really did think the community would at least have some level of maturity, or have the ability to read a single sentence, but I guess the DbD community proved me wrong.
What exactly was changed?
- Flashlights are having a buffer time added as well as some other smaller changes to make the game more accessible to those with photosensitivity and epilepsy.
This is of course a good thing, it makes the game more accessible and available to all, but some people are upset that they now cannot click their flashlights. But overall clicking your flashlight had almost zero effect over gameplay at all for a majority of people, and this change will still have almost zero effect over gameplay for a majority of people. This change only effects a minority group, but it still is a positive change for the community and game.
Let's look at some of the common arguments I see against the flashlight changes:
- "Oh but there are other issues that cause seizures, they just hit flashlights on purpose," just because there are issues does not mean it wont be fixed, it takes steps towards making the game better, and this is just a small step forward. BHVR is known for rolling out changes over time instead of releasing everything all at once, just look at the map reworks from 2020-2021 for example.
- "Oh but people with photosensitivity or epilepsy should not play a game if they fear having seizures," people bring up this argument and not only is it insensitive but overall just proves the lack of empathy of others. People should not be excluded from something they enjoy because of such.
- "But they are catering to a minor part of the community," and who cares? It's more people playing the game, more people interact with, more people that can enjoy something they otherwise couldnt before. It would be selfish to not want these changes because you are admitting that you only want yourself to be catered to, and not anyone else.
If you are actually upset by the flashlight changes, as much as I hate to say it, grow up, go outside, touch grass, because these changes make the game better and allow more people to be able to play without health risks.
But like...if they really fear having seizures, DBD isn't the only game that would cause it
I don't care at all about this change, I'm just saying if you are playing video games, you're most likely not scared of getting seizures, and if you are, might be time to hang up the controller

For some reason I've been put into the same lobby with prestige 6+ survivors in some of my games. I was expecting that they'd carry but they just keep going down or not doing gens.
There was a prestige 10 Mikaela, definitely no boon and while I was getting chased in Badham (that notorious house) by Wesker only one gen popped. And then when I was getting chased again no gens were popping and no one was getting healed. What the hell is going on? She didn't even have a boon.
How scary is Wesker? That map is full of structures.
Just a rant cause I've been having bad games.
I've had games where we're between prestige 1-3 and if someone is getting chased then at least 2 gens are popping. Do people get allergic to gens the longer they play? I am confused.
No, it doesn't mean anything, I could be a P50 Kate and my friend comes over to play who doesn't play it as much as me could be playing
On the reverse, I could be a P1 Dwight and still be god tier looper but I just decided to level up Dwight for his perks

I usually SWF with my brother, who's basically equally as good as me, but I he hasn't been hit on hook since forever.
Why is this only happening a ton to me??? For context, I'm always using Rebecca. Maybe there's some cumulative hatred towards Rebecca? I'm not sure, she seemed like a nice character in RE and RE 0.

Not really, since as stated, the vast majority of photo sensitive people can play games just fine. DBD was a specific issue. And still, not active reason is being given to keep it in, aside from cruelty.
I mean, I don't know how DBD is a specific issue when there's flashing lights in hundreds of other games

@Vampwire said:
I've seen people freaking out about this, but as an experienced killer main I can promise you this change isn't going to lead to a free win for survivors. You will have to play differently, that is true. But 45 seconds is a LOT of down-time and most of the time you aren't going to want to slug for that long.
This has only killed long term slugging for things such as a 4k. It only really removes the ability to drag the match out for longer than it has to be. Plus, mori's will actually be a base kit feature which is nice. I think a lot of people overlook the amount of pressure this puts on the survivors as well. If you aren't careful the match can end in literal seconds.
But you're also rarely going to be able to get a 4 man slug. Even with Oni. You probably can with Nurse but lets be real, it's Nurse.
If anything this punishes greed on BOTH sides. If the killer tries to go for the insta 4k, but ends up taking too long with the last survivor. Or the survivors get too greedy for lets say a gen, it has an impact. And I think this is good. It means you actually take a risk when slugging in certain scenarios that would be safe at the moment.
If anything, I don't think Unbreakable should allow you to pick yourself up in 22 seconds with unlimited use. Because slugging does have its purposes. Maybe it has diminishing returns with every pick up? Anyways, the main counter for this is going to be not to slug a bunch and be smart about when you do.
If you do slug to get another down, hurry up back to the first guy if you can and hook him. That's what you should be doing right now anyways. Slugging has always been a way to juggle survivors and really this update doesn't change that fundamental. It only allows survivors to put pressure on the killer to make a move.
You can say that currently the pressure survivors have in this situation is letting a team mate pick up the survivor, robbing the killer of a hook. But as I said 45 seconds of someone doing absolutely nothing is a huge time loss. They could leave the slug there to finish a gen, but then the killer can go to that gen and potentially down that person as well. Leading to another slug or hook, and now we're back where we started.
"But what if they have an anti-slug build?"
That's easy. Don't slug them. Now they have no perks. There isn't always a tell for this, and I think that is something that should be fixed eventually. But there are ways to tell if they do by their behavior. Like if they're a little too eager to take a punch to the face while injured, they probably have unbreakable and expect you to leave them on the ground. Survivors will constantly give away what perks they have, you just have to pay attention to the signs of said perk.
These updates are encouraging killers to be more aggressive and constantly on the move. That is good. It leads to actual gameplay instead of "me stand in front of hook and now u die :)". It means people are actually playing and interacting with each other. We need more of this. So even if this update seems uncertain and odd for the future, I'm ready for it.
It kinda ruins my playstyle, cause I'll usually down a survivor, and if I hooked them recently, I'll just leave them cause ik that'll get someone off a gen, but now it's just a survivor out of commission for 45 seconds, which I mean I guess isn't terrible, but I feel like the before situation is better pressure

For everyone saying 'but you can't slug within 45 sec'
You can, it happens, AND this absolutely rewards scummy play.
one both sides, actually, cause it's not just scummy sluggers benefiting, it's also scummy survs that will dc for s&g.
How about 22.5 seconds? Because EVERYONE will be running unbreakable to abuse what they think will be "infinite life" when all the killer has to do is run lightborn and pick up the survivor
-
@MeltingPenguins said:
From the PTB patchnotes:
- Once all Survivors are dead, in the dying state or have escaped, a Finishing Mori is triggered, and the game ends.
- Other Survivors on hooks are immediately sacrificed.
- The last Survivor to enter the dying state and the Killer are teleported to a special location on the map for the performance of the Mori. Other Survivors on the ground are killed by the Entity.
Doesn't this mean that slugging insta-ends the game?
The way this reads tells me that if you slug at 5 gens you auto win, basekit UB be damned.
what?
If your team can't get up within 45 seconds (22.5 with unbreakable) then you guys deserve to be mori'd and killed

Eh, if you really want to utilize hyperfocus, you can buy the SAW chapter, the survivor you get from that has a perk called stakeout, which for every (12?) Seconds inside the killers terror radius you gain a token, and every time you hit a good skill check, a token is consumed and made a great skill check

P. S. Also not to open another discussion - what are best perks for faster repair gens when u repair alone?
As someone already answered the first part, the second part
I believe resilience ups alot of your action speeds, including gens, when injured, and the newest one hyperfocus increases gen speeds with every consecutive great you get in a row, but that's blocked by a "paywall" if you are a fan of resident evil, and you are planning on playing more dbd, you can purchase the latest chapter for that perk

People who is complaining about Nurse & Blight and people who is complaining about SWFs can keep whine. But they should keep this in their mind, that's your reward for being tryharder.
I mean, me and my friend are no where near tryhard level, which is why I hate when people say SWF make it difficult, I can tell you, the comms are nice, and do feel like it's cheating sometimes, but most of the time only one of us escape, not every SWF is out to ruin a killers time, they just want to chat about random stuff and play the game together

All of those situations prevent you from picking up a survivor without losing a great deal of momentum.

Next will be 3sec DS Basekit, regular DS will grant extra seconds for the stun.

The reason it is not OP (same with any of Wraith's add-ons, really, including his SPEED-BOIS) is that no matter what Wraith gets pre-uncloaking, he still needs to invest time (even with add-ons) on uncloaking.
Uncloaking has a visual and (sometimes) audio cue - Unless you are caught in a dead zone or traveling there is, 99% of the time, an opportunity to get to a window/pallet/loop structure.
Your stance that you do not care if people disagree/face the facts is a clear signal that you are rather ignorant of the game's mechanics and nuances, and, sadly, are the one that needs to 'face the facts.'
The aura when invisible is a bit much to go against, but I don't think I'd say OP

Rotten fields, playing survivor. Started the game uninterrupted on a gen next to cow tree for 50 seconds or so. Killer comes by. I loop around the cow tree twice, drop the pallet and lithe to a jungle gym. Killer drops chase. Chase was 27 seconds without the killer landing a hit. I go back to my gen which is 60% or so. As I'm finishing my gen 3 generators go off before I finish mine. I finish my generator, 4 generators done within the span of 20 seconds. Killer goes AFK.
Gen speeds are still an issue. I also had 2 other games with very fast gens today. I'm not great at looping but the game seemed to put me with very efficient teammates today and the games are a joke, can't even pip due to how quick the games go with the killer getting 2 hooks before endgame.

This doesn't change for me, I still have 100 something flan on doc that I use every match, but yeah, I'd love something like that

Indeed, this change does literally nothing to camping, killers can camp like usual and win like usual!
Reassurance exists

Honestly loving the vast irony of all these whinging threads after the general killer attitude over the last few months.
As you said, most killers tunnel anyway. Many killers slug and camp anyway... that's the whole reason this change has happened. Killer behaviour has been the cause of this effect (just as it was for the overuse of DH, not the inverse as was lovingly toted by many a killer, Ita not going to cause killers to do anything because they do it anyway. That's the point in making these types of seriously radical changes; because it was that much of an issue already.
And many killers don't do either and just have fun with 2 hooking everyone

Sure? Then add base kit perks and nerf top-tier killers. What's stopping them from doing that?
Way more balancing than imaginable?
And because it's BHVR, we probably wouldn't see those changes for an easy 2 years, lol

Disagree heavily. The so-called "killer patch" was a neutral patch at best. Perks on both sides got nerfed/changed. Faster pallet breaking speed/faster recovery is a placebo in most cases. DH is in similar strength as old DH (at least in high MMR). M1 killers are still in the garbage can.
The 10+ secs on gens sounds good theoretically, but in practice, the gens go even faster. This is because survivors are now using every tool in their arsenal to push gens (toolboxes, prove thyself, hyperfocus, split on gens, etc.). I've seen more BNP's in the last month than probably last 2 years. They always had that option pre-patch to push gens even faster, but some players liked to play chill because the game was very easy on survivors. Nowadays though, everyone just sweats on gens and plays super efficiently.
The only argument you could make that killer got buffed is because of easier tunnelling. Which was TRUE for 1 patch, until they added base kit BT, buffed it, and now it's much harder. Not even speaking about off the record and upcoming base kit BT...
What is called "killer patch" was a neutral patch at best, especially considering how big buffs survivors got in the next 2 following patches after it. They added 10+ secs on gens, and then the next patch literally added a gen rush perk lmao...
You can't split up on gens and use prove thyself, lol

So let me get this straight...
Survivors get free unbreakable every 45 seconds because in 1 in 20 games a Nurse might slug 4 people to end the game early (happens mostly against 4-man overly altruistic SWF which is good). First off, how does that even happen? Secondly, if you got slugged as 4 men, you probably deserved to lose...
Meanwhile, killers literally have to run gen regression perks on every build to even to have a chance to win a game. That is irrespectively on how they play. It's so prelavant/needed for most of the killers that you might even call it base kit at this point.
So why is gen regression/gen slowdown not part of the killer's base kit considering that it's basically a must nowadays to have a chance to win the game?
It's harder for killers because basekit means nurse and blight get whatever everyone else gets, so if people say asked for basekit lethal, nurse and blight would have an amazing perk basekit that is already great on them, whereas if doc got a basekit lethal, it'd make him more mediocre

I am aware that twins are not the most popular killer, but are the devs planning on leaving them behind with this?
I'm hoping that some sort of small rework is on the way, though that is just hope based on nothing.

Ik you already said it, but they weren't good to begin with anyways, I haven't seen a twin since... maybe 8, 9 months ago? Or just too long to remember
