Pretty much all of their mechanics work fine and so is legion, doctor, demo, freddy, doctor and so on.
Can you “beat” a skilled sfw? Maybe not
Can you reach rank 1? Yes
this goes back to what I said earlier; you are not forced to chase into the loop.
Play around it
Cause the next step would be removing jungle jyms, T & L’s and so on.
Jungle gyms do need to go...

Whats with you guys and being toxic as hell? all im trying to do is chill and have fun but you guys wanna use instas and tbag at the exit gates. its really hard to not be toxic back when they hit you with that "GG EZ" in the post game chat .
You are going to see a lot of insta heal medkits betwewn now and the 22nd. Because they are getting nerfed in the next patch. So people are burning through them while they are still really powerful.

The Game map is definitely not killer sided to me. I would say it's balance, with some spots and portions of the map having survivor sided things.
And specific killers make it a killer sided map
The stats say it's heavily Killer sided. I can't recall which devstream it was shown in but they showed the data for all the maps. This was like just before Legion came out I believe. And Killers got 4 Kills something like 70% of the time on Gideon's. It was the most one sided map in DbD at the time. Most maps were pretty balanced but all of the Cold Wind Farm maps were HEAVILY survivor sided with the worst being Fractured Cowshed.

Why does no one ever ask why the minimum number of pallets is set so high that double pallets would even be possible? Kind of tells you the minimum number is high AF.
Guarantee you the minimum number is something ridiculous like 16 - 18
-
Also welcome to the McMillan Estate. Please enjoy our jungle gyms and pitch black mood lighting. They are on the house!
-
With Freddy it's double pallet Friday everyday.

It’s happening on PC.
You can be matched with a Killer + or - 6 ranks from you. So you can play a Rank 1 Killer, or a Rank 12 when you’re Rank 6 Survivor.
So you’re probably getting matched with a Rank 10-12 Killer. This means Survivors Rank 16-18 could end up in your lobby.
Ok that makes sense. Cause the killer was rank 12.
-
2 McMillan maps in neutral LOOOOOOOOOL
You can't see anything. A million jungle gyms, a bajillion safe pallets.
Also, DELETE THE FARM MAPS :-)

I'm survivor main and sometimes I really feel like the killers are insanely strong and survivor is nerfed until I hop on and do killer dailies and I either kill all 4 potatoes to boot or, and this happens a ton, the survivor is nearly impossible to catch. Good Ole claudette runs you and bloop just disappears into a wall. It's so bothersome that claudette is a go to. Swf, solo or killer nearly all 4 survivor weebs are claudette. I play ash and guess what, first to be found on a Gen and first to usually get harassed or mori. It blows because claudette is so hard to find.
Also heads up for toxic, it's trash on both sides. Killers camp and message GG ez but then cry here about how bad killers have it.
Survivors run train on you and they all 4 message about how you're a noob killer and trash even if you were just letting them live to do an easy daily.
Bottom line, there's a ton of trashing on both sides and nice players like us get the brutal end of the toxic nightmares.
As killer face camp the toxic ones and DC on the tea bagging survivors at the exit.
As survivor do your best to play it out and give up the location of toxic teammates.
You'll never come out ahead if you think anyone's going to be as nice as you. No one has the same heart you give out, same with relationships little buddy 😉
Thank you. This is something I've said to survivor mains forever. As someone who plays both sides regularly. Killer is significantly harder.
If you think killers are op and survivors are nerfed unto the dirt, GO PLAY A FEW GAMES AS KILLER. then come on back and let's see how you did.

If you want the game to be darker for "atmosphere", you can always just adjust your own display settings.
THIS. If it really is just for atmosphere and not to blind the killers then adjust your own brightness. This is how you know when "atmosphere" is code for "poke out killers eyes"

Not taking sides in this argument but this argument right here backfires so much... Now we have to suffer through screenshots of playtime and rank.
No, we don't she doesn't play killer. No one who complains about killer ever actually plays killer... sorry. You know it, I know it, the whole forum knows it.

Okay.. In your last post you claim the game isn’t brighter now.. Then you retract and agree the game was much darker in the past. You feelin alright? The escape rate wasn’t higher because of how dark the maps were btw.
I didn't know you meant year one. 99% of the playerbase came in well after year one. Year one was practically a beta. If you think not being able to see had NOTHING AT ALL to do with escape rates you are lying to yourself.
You clearly play very little killer, if any.

I’ve played the game since beta. I know what moonlight offerings are.
I primarily play survivor, but I have well over 1000 hours as Killer.
The game is much brighter now than it was in the past.
Yeah, because the escape rates were way too high in year one. Year one was awful (in hindsight) I never want to go back to pitch black, infinite windows, & sabo squads.

I am aware..
The game has become a lot brighter over time and engine changes. It’s a shame, it hurts stealth a lot.
Lol no. There were offerings called Moonlight Offerings that would make the maps super bright or super dark depending on the variant. Like the fog bottles.
Lol no. The game is not brighter. The McMillan maps are so dark for Killer that you can't see anything. Play Killer. Maps are darker than you think.

Yes, there used to be offerings that changed the brightness.

What's the point in getting them during events if they're just commonly dropped in chests all year long?
It kinda just makes them... bland, and pointless to even get. They're not really that great honestly, if you just look away from the explosion and hear the audio cue it plays before exploding than you can just avoid the blindness effect.
Exactly, they aren't good at all. Their entire appeal is that they are limited items. They are for fun.
Having them constantly available would make them pointless.
-
@FireHazard said:
It really does depend also on how you perceive it... cause 3rd person is a bit different than 1st person. And how Killers see the room is very different from how say... you or your teammates see it.
It's far better like this anyways, since i'd prefer we don't devolve back to when moonrise offerings were a thing on the darkest maps...
Hot d@mn. I remember those pieces of crap. FUDGE going back to that trash. They got so bad I would DC if one was burned on a McMillan map. The only times I ever DC'd.
-
I hope not. I love them being special. I horde them lol.
-
Trust me. Survivors lighting is different than killer's lighting. That map and all McMillan maps are nearly pitch black for the killer.

It's the robe & knife (like the red & blue variants).
Michael's is also the Hospital Gown & Screwdriver

DbD remake Freddy gets red and black though?...
There are so many freddy outfits. Robert Englund Freddy, New Nightmare Freddy (Trenchcoat & Bone Glove), Chef Freddy (from part V), Tuxedo Freddy (from part 3), and of course the Power Glove weapon from Freddy's Dead.

Clown: Remove the slow he gets when throwing bottles and increase base bottle count. Intoxication means you can't fast vault or medium vault.
Wraith: Make him completely invisible while moving and make WIndstorm basekit.
Trapper: Allow him to start with all traps.
Legion: Lower the 4 seconds stun and increase vaulting speed in FF.
Doctor: Increase Shock range.
Windstorm was already put into Wraith's base kit. If you run Windstorm on him you are actually getting 2x Windstorm. You are wanting the to add 2x Windstorm to his base kit lol.
I'm guessing you have only been playing within the last year or so. Cause it was like a year ago wraith got buffed.

Use Unbreakable if you refuse to use Unbreakable then you are admitting that slugging isn't as common as you say. If it is as common as you say then unbreakable solves your problem.

I don't really know what is meant by low tier killer anymore. Other than Pig whose strength was neutered by End Game Collapse the killers are all pretty good.
I guess some small changes wouldn't hurt here and there but after Freddy got his rework I don't think there is a "bad" killer in the game.
Small tweaks.
Give Trapper 2 traps in his base kit.
Let Pig be the only killer who doesn't trigger EGC. Let her end game play it like the old days. Or at least rework her traps so that they matter during EGC.
Other than those minor things, we are good fam.

As a survivor watching a face camp in the early game. The killer won't get better and it just makes it a bad time for everyone.
As a killer I'm in awe/impressed with people that outloop me. I actually enjoy it and give kudos. For me as killer the bad feels are instaheals (undoing the last minute of work sometimes) and tbag.
How can you be impressed by running in circles using your smaller hitbox for tighter loops than the killer can with their larger hitbox?
If anything you should be impressed by killers who win the loop because the geometry and math were working against them.

I can't even remember the last time I got a Survivor Daily. It's been like two months now and I've been trashing killer dailies every day, only to get more worthless killer dailies.
I'm a Survivor Main.
Daily Rituals are dead to me. An utterly useless, wasted, pathetic excuse for a feature.
Being a survivor main is why you only get Killer dailies. The dailies give you the opposite of what you play the most (if the balance is extreme) I'm going to assume you've played so much survivor that it's going to be rare for you to get a survivor daily.

We've actually made a statement the day The Archives were released on the PTB. Odds are you've probably seen this around:
Our goal for our first Tome and Rift is to base our completion targets on the average daily play time of 1 hour/user, provided by our internal data. Given this, completion of The Rift and all its rewards should take roughly 70 to 80 hours of gameplay, provided players accomplish Challenges from each role.
We want everything to feel achievable within a reasonable amount of time for all players, to not feel like any reward is unfairly out of reach. We will be gathering all sorts of feedback to ensure The Archives is enjoyable for many updates to come, for all players.
You can find this statement here: https://deadbydaylight.com/en/news/welcome-to-the-archives
We have also released a survey following the PTB to collect feedback on The Archives to help us fine tune it. Nobody is ignoring feedback; there would be no point to holding a PTB and getting a survey together if we didn't want to take feedback. There's a lot going on right now between The Archives, the Nurse changes, Medkit changes, etc. We aren't going to be able to respond to every post.
Thanks and sorry. If I upset you. That was not my intent.

What kind of perks do you use for anti-healing?
Sloppy Butcher, Thanataphobia, Nurses Calling
Then the 4th perk is dependent upon Killer. This pretty much my build on all my killers except Trapper and Doctor.

@TheShape78 said:
For me, as a killer main, it's when you start a game, and at least 2 gens are repaired at the same time before you even find the first survivor to go after, and you realize you're dealing with a strong group who knows how to get stuff done quickly, who then proceed to all escape, and teabag you at the gate just to rub it in.
Been there. This scenario is why I run NOED. Call me whatever name you want, I don't care. Sometimes you just have a bad game and NOED can turn it around. Survivors will inevitably try to make you feel bad when you use it. But it and Blood Warden are the Killer's second chance perks. The survivors who are most likely to try and judge you use Decisive Strike, Self Care, Adrenaline, Flashlights, Insta Heals... ect.
Point is that both sides have "oopsie" perks to rectify mistakes. But for some reason Killer's are "bad" for using theirs. Lol.
-
We are masochistic fools. Nah, the fun times outweigh the feel bads, nothing like the adrenaline rush DBD gives you.

@UlvenDagoth said:
Well this is because 60 seconds is very long and being stunned and letting someone start a chase again is TERRIBLE for a Killer. Slugging is literally the only way around it other than keeping count for every survivor in your head cause you don't know who has what.
Alot of people seem to think DS is immunity to the Killer for 60 seconds. If you get unhooked and get in my face, you are laying down for a bit. Bring Unbreakable.
Couldn't have said it better. Bravo.

@Theoretical_Heart It might also be that DbD turned me off of cosmetics a while ago. I'll spend $10 for a new hero in a MOBA, no problem.
Hell will freeze over and the second coming of Christ will occur before I spend $10 on a cosmetic skin, though. So, BHVR turned me off of worrying about them a while back. Nor would I spend Shards on them, when their cost for cosmetics is the price of a Shrine Perk, or in many cases several Shrine perks.
I get it. The cosmetics are expensive. That's part of the reason that the Rift would be appealing if it weren't so rigorous. That's a lot of content for 10 bucks. Problem is, getting the content is gonna be rough if not impossible.
But I can't talk, I'm part of the problem because I will spend 10 bucks on the skins. (I have several times)
Hell, I almost bought both the Doctor and Feng Min's new outfits today and I had to talk myself out of it cause I don't even play Doctor or Feng Min. Buying skins for GhostFace, Hag, Wraith, and Claudette is one thing (because I play them) but buying skins for characters I don't even play? I need my butt kicked.
-
@Kilmeran said:
@Theoretical_Heart I logged into PTB when it was active and went through the Challenges, then went through all the tiers on the Rift.
In my personal opinion, the cosmetics for Killers are extremely lackluster. Plus, I don't play Nurse, Trapper, or Hag.
I don't play enough Survivor to care one ounce about those cosmetics, but none of them really grabbed me either.
As far as the charms, they're as attractive to me as the plethora of sprays in games like Overwatch. I.e., not something I care to spend time grinding to get.
All in all, except for the occasional Challenge here and there just for a few extra BP, I see myself just continuing to play DbD normally and not even bothering to worry about the Rift-- neither the paid nor free tracks.
The only other Battlepass that gave me such a "meh" feeling was in Apex Legends. I just see the Rift as lackluster at best.
I like the charms, I also like Hag and Wraith's new cosmetics. So I'm in a different boat.
-
I kind of use anti-healing over anti-gen. I find I have more success when I can frequently one hit survivors.
-
Maybe be a little less rude. The game is transitioning from p2p to dedicated servers. There are going to be kinks. Have patience and some respect. Pls.
-
Snares don't do enough, in my personal opinion. If you are skilled enough to drop one mid chase you might like them better. However the pallets are great, survivors get real sloppy at pallets because they feel safe.
-
Scratched Mirror is already powerful. It's rare not to 4k with it (assuming you have enough braincells to pair it with Lery's, Gideon's, or Hawkins).
Though I'd be okay with giving Bloodlust back to tier 1, under the condition that Scratched Mirror be fixed to have the addon remove Bloodlust.
-
DCs will always be hard to ban and it's something you will have to live with. The "leave match" option is on the pause menu for a reason. Sometimes real life happens and you have to leave early. I've done it.
And a machine cannot tell the difference between rage quitting and needing to leave.

Last year was made by a small company not a giant like Capcom which can fuel MILLIONS into the game.
Not only that they already have fans backing them up so it isn't about wether or not they have* players but if DbD players switch and what would make* them switch.
Also, saying RE lore isn't at DbD lvl is ridiculous, it's more like the other way around.
They have hacks, weapons and gadgets!
I just don't see it. Capcom is a crap company these days. Most gamers are fed up with them. And it's not like their RE spinoffs do very well, Operation Racoon City? Survivor?... people care about mainline RE not spinoffs.
-
@TheUnendingNightmare said:
Idk if anyone saw the trailer for Resident evil project resistance ?
I feel if new mechanics are not added to the game this could really bring down DbD.
Lbh the graphics, gameplay and mechanics looks much better. If the maps and new survivors they come up with are just half of the potential I see...this is going to hit hard!
Ideas;
1- New objectives with actual ingame interractions like when it open certain gates on certain maps BUT on all maps.
2- New map interractions for the killer. Closing certain area or equipement to cause harm.
3- New type of perks aside from exhaustion and sensory. Magic, science, weapon are all great things that could be interesting in-game.
If Last Year didn't do it then this won't
I love RE but not the way I love DBD. The characters and lore of DBD are better. Plus DBD allows me to do what I've always wanted to do as a kid. Growing up, I always wanted to play as horror movie slashers in a game. DBD is literally what I've always wanted. If Pennywise, Pinhead, and Jason ever make it in then my life will be complete.
