It's fine how it is.
If you're a half way decent survivor, noed will never happen to you anyway.

Did this guy really argue about Otzdarva's nick for the sake of arguing?
I simply made a correction. Hardly arguing. Thanks for contributing though. You sure showed me.

No I don't think that's the name of his YT channel.
Look - I know you live to argue with me at any cost - even when you're 99% of the time always wrong because you like to think you're good at bait, but the handle of the PERSON, which is what he was referred to as, is Otzdarva. Now climb down out of my backside. Thanks.

His handle is still Otzdarva.

I can suggest Not Otzdarva.
It's actually just Otzdarva. Not Otzdarva is just his secondary channel name. He also streams on Twitch as Otzdarva.

This is off topic but
Do you know how can I report a fog whisper?
I have a lot of proof of some of them being racist and throwing shade to other streamers.
No idea.

BT lets the unhooked survivor take and hit and gives them a chance to get away via the on-hit speed boost.
Unhooking in front of the killer with BT isn't a great idea but it isn't the same as unhooking right in front of the killer without BT.
It's still a farm.
-
@OnryosTapeRentals said:

I wouldn't consider this situation farming. Borrowed Time provides safety to the unhooked survivor.
A farm is a farm if it's done right in front of the killer.
-
@OnryosTapeRentals said:
We're Gonna Live Forever actually discourages farming though.
Part of the entire perk is that you only get stacks if you perform safe hook rescues.
Unless of course you have borrowed time (which, anyone running this perk will if they have anything resembling a brain). Then you can unhook and almost guarantee a safe rescue no matter what.

Basics of toxicity include t-bagging, flashlight clicking, spamming in and out of lockers to get attention. Annoying behavior that killers can take personally and call toxic include chain blinding, repetitive flashlight/head on/pallet saves, hook techs, grab dodging, and constantly running the god loops.
Clicking a flashlight or jumping in and out of a locker aren't toxic. I do it daily to get the killer to come after me instead of the injured person. You'd be surprised how often it works. As for tea bagging - if someone clicking control is too much for someone's delicate sensibilities, they need to go play Minecraft.
Again - not liking something =! toxic.
-
If camping works, it is ENTIRELY the fault of survivors.
Do gens and leave. Killer depips.
Punishment.
-
Unfortunately (as much as the devs will come in here to refute it), @luka2211 is basically correct.
I've talked to a couple of fog whisperers (as well as one former fog whisperer) who's names I won't mention for obvious reasons, who have all more or less said the same thing. Apparently they have their own internal report system on an exclusive "fog whisperer discord server". They all told me (except for the former whisperer - he said it outright on stream) that nobody they ever reported for racist/homophobic remarks, lag switching etc (and keep in mind, these are content creators, they send proof) has ever been banned.
The overall sentiment between them is that the only things BHVR really cares about is: Don't hack in cosmetics (even if it's Legacy that you earned, and lost because of a glitch), and don't DC from their game.
Like I said, the devs will go out of their way to refute it...but the writing is on the wall. We've all seen these hackers and toxic scrubs spouting racist/homophobic stuff, reported them, and seen nothing done.
-
Despite what some people will say, there is nothing in game, as a mechanic, that is toxic. No emote, item, addon, perk etc can be toxic. Anyone who says anything else is incorrect. What is and isn't toxic is also not up for debate, nor is it a matter of opinion. Toxic is an attitude. A state of mind. Just because someone doesn't like something, doesn't make that thing toxic.
Period.

Swf is not toxic itself, but i was playing against groups with 2-3 petrified oaks offerings+plus 3 sabo builds. And they tbaging at every pallet.that's toxic. No prob with that btw they all took the nea with pink hairs... an easy mode to get moried
The offerings and builds are not toxic. At all. You may be able to get away with calling the teabag toxic, but at the same time, they are literally just hitting the crouch button. If you're that thin skinned, perhaps Minecraft might be a game for you, and not Dead by Daylight (aka - a game about brutal murder and death).

And there's countless people that DC because they "totally should've made that pallet" or some other excuse. I don't disagree they need to fix these things but I don't think they're as common as people make them out to be. It annoys me to no end when survivors DC or kill themselves on the hook so I suffer and we lose 3v1.
Guess what? It's frustrating to lose my Ruin in 30 seconds, so I guess that making my future game totally unfun means I can DC. Chainsaw not registering? That's a DC. 4 SWF? That's a definite DC. Why don't we all just DC when we're not having fun because the devs haven't yet made every aspect of it fun :D
It's actually every bit as common as you think. Even as killer, a lot of my hits I wonder "how the hell did that hit?". Put it this way - it's as common as all the people who complain about moris and keys would like you to think those are. Except unlike those, this doesn't happen once every 20 games. The dsync issues are an *every game* issue.

Stop with this “survivors DC because tunneling is unfun.” I’ve had so many survivors DC against me as killer, or when they are on my team, as soon as they get downed the first time.
Can they see the future, so they know the killer is going to facecamp or tunnel them? No, but they know the killer is capable of downing them and that’s “unfun.” They DC to get a game and hold the next killer is bad and can be looped for five gens
I'm not saying it's not a valid strategy, I play more killer than anything, and if there's not a lot of gens left, I'll go after the weaker guy, sure. That being said, to outright dismiss it as a potential issue that causes disconnects..well, that's foolish.

You can dodge the axeheads cant you ds you either wait for a minute or hope they miss (which almost never happens) and like i said your allowed to use what you want moris/keys/addons they are in the game they exist as a option. Dcing is a exploit and unfair and the devs know it thats why were getting penalties.
Yes, with the hitboxes in the current state where you can get hit from air 6 feet to the left or right of your character (even from the Huntress' POV), you can accurately dodge them. Sure.
-
@supersonic853 said:

Were allowed to use anything at our disposal inside the game dcing is considered a exploit like dcing to let the last survivor to get the hatch. If youve been outplayed accept you lost instead of ruining everyone elses fun.
If you're using an Iri head, you didn't outplay anyone. That's like saying a survivor using DS is outplaying a killer. Completely asinine.
-
I think the point of this thread is to say "haha i made them DC". In that, I don't think they care much about their bloodpoints. They just go out of their way to ruin everyone elses time. Can't say I blame the two DCers. You have to be wanting to be a pain in the ass to bring sweaty builds like that to Double BP games. It doesn't do anything for you, and all it does is cuck survivors of their BP. That right there, is toxic.
Contary to what you may want to think, a lot of the time it's not likely salt. It's more "zzzzz, I'm bored, next game pls".
-
We do - but first they need to get rid of both the bugs causing people to crash/DC against their will so innocents don't get banned, and the reasons people DC if they really want people not to DC. I'm not talking about "oh I died", but they should make it more worthwhile for killers not to tunnel and camp. As well as fixing hitboxes. I would DC too if I got hit by a Huntress hatchet that hit the air 6 feet to my left. I've seen it happen.

Yea and when every red rank I come across knows how to abuse every tile set the game has, runs all the meta exhaustion perks and laughs at your attempts to catch them it gets pretty demoralizing and you give up even trying because it's so unfun.
What are they supposed to do? Run in a straight line?

@Ashlich said:

You're right. I'm a Green rank fighting Red ranks all day every day. Of course i'm going to be bad at dealing with them. This game hasn't been fun for me since I hit greens because of this issue. It's just not fun at all.
The thing is, that's happening with all green rank killers right now. Survivor rank is not an indication of skill. A chimpanzee can get to red rank in survivor. I can get to red rank from green in survivor with my eyes closed in just a few hours. It's not hard. Pay less attention to their ranks.
-
@Ashlich said:
I'll DC all i want against super try hard toxic survivors that think looping killers all day is in any way shape or form fun for them. We just want our damn BBQ stacks most of the time but you end up making every match an unbearable ######### show.
If you're getting "looped all day", it sounds more like an issue with you rather than them being toxic.
-
All due respect, I wouldn't call what Doc has now "tracking". It's more like "hey, they're over here!". In order for it to be tracking, it requires actual interaction.
-
Hey, I like the Demogorgon :( He's my little meat flower :(
-
That's a strawman argument if I ever heard one.
I shouldn't have to justify not wanting to be paired up with/against yellow rank survivors/killers.
-
I just want a mode to be able to go in as either a survivor or killer, alone, and roam the maps.
-
@Mr_K said:
Admit it, you want it back for the reason it was taken away.
Admit it, their "we don't want people dodging lobbies" rhetoric is just a BS cop out cover for "our matchmaking sucks, but you should be forced to deal with it until after your rank 20 team mates screw you over".

@pAncrop900 said:
I literally find only swf groups tonight. It's just me or the toxicness is higher than usual?
How is SWF toxic?
Also, if you consider that toxic, then the sweatlords playing killer tonight camping on first hook, or just not hooking anyone at all to cuck points during double BP must also be toxic, too, right?
-
Nerfing Oni, as well as Freddy's addons were more priority than fixing something that was broken, such as Wraiths windstorm lunge and Spirits phase lunge.
#BHVR
-
Strictly speaking, it's always okay to camp. Any time, any map, any killer. However, unless the gates are opened and unless the team of survivors is filled with dunce nerds, it will hurt you in the long run.
But as per the thread title - it's always okay. People don't like it, but it's always okay.

The whole point of quoting you and leaving a comment wasn't to insult you, that wasn't my intention. If I've offended you, I apologize. I was being sarcastic and was trying to make the point of 'don't take things out of context, use the whole post'. Good job editing the insult out of your post, bub.

No no, farming is great. I'm all for it. Just 3 survivors griefing on me and getting me killed is another story.
I mean, judging by the insult you threw at me for simply disagreeing with you and only replying to part of your original post, who knows what you said to them. You probably deserved it with your poor attitude.
-
I mean, I'd be down to have him wearing some tighty Walter Whities, or a mankini Borat style.
-
I don't see the problem. Double BP, and other events, is something that brings the community together to get a mutual BP profit. It shows that we as a community aren't all about "killer main vs. survivor main" (not all of us, but some). Feel free to take a break during double BP, man. Nobody is forcing you to farm. Do gens and leave.
-
Just a forewarning - noed doesn't happen in my survivor games. Ever.
If you play against me, you will never get your noed to proc.

Nothing changed about him. People read too much into what dbd streamers say.
Pretty much this. It's not Wraith that's strong. It's the build; and even then, it's not even close to overpowered in any conceivable way. Plus, that same build is equally as effective on pretty much every other M1 killer. They probably need re-balancing too, I suppose. /s
-
How about we wait and see how it plays and try to adjust to it before we decide what is and isn't too much? We want Doctor to get Freddy'd, not Oni'd.

Sadly, there is one where you have to escape while running it.
Source?
Either way, escape is one thing. That I can handle. I just fear the inevitably stupid "Escape without being downed/hooked using No Mither".
-
So change DBD completely. Gotcha.
-
Well, since it was confirmed to be about David King, Spirit, Doctor etc (because the devs deleted the original thread talking about it), I just DON'T want to see no mither challenges.
-
This is why if I see a teammate 99 the door, I open it as soon as they move. Screw that.

I am a killer main and I thought of this from a lore perspective. The totems were made (as far as we know) from the entity. So destroying it should give a benefit to the survivor.
It takes 14 seconds to cleanse btw. So I thought either A. fully rework both luck and totems or B. add more perks from both killer and survivor that affect totems. I just think they are a cool addition,but a useless one
I find it really hard to believe a killer main came up with that idea for a totem rework, but okay. I'll choose to give you the benefit of the doubt.
Whatever the case, they should, under no circumstances, be buffed in any way other than in the killers favor. They belong to the killer. Survivors only reward for destroying them should be bloodpoints, boldness and knowing they may have prevented something.
-
I agree. DC's should count as a sacrifice, IMO.
-
Your heart is in the right place, but clearly you've only though about this "rework" from a survivor POV. They in no way need to be adjusted in the survivors favor. They don't need to be shorter per totem. They take like 10 seconds, and it's an easy 1000bp and boldness; and they are already piss easy to find. If anything, they should be made more difficult, and maybe necessary to cleanse.
The real changes that should be done are things that make them actually hard to find. Like, not just sitting out there in the opened, ever. Add skillchecks to the cleansing as well. They should be buffed in favor of killers.
-

Considering the oppressive amount of videos on youtube about Wraith being strong, by killers, I would say your belief that he's weak is definitely not well-grounded.
The issue with that is, they are all using more or less the same perk/addon build. A strong killer (such as Billy, Nurse, or Spirit) with any kind of perk/addon combo (or non at all) can do consistently pretty well. Sure it's more difficult, but their base kit has all the tools to get the job done.
Wraith? Only with the right addons and perks can you go into a match and feel confident that you have a chance. That's not a strong killer, it's a strong build.
-
Don't forget "double backing" which drives me insane. IT'S DOUBLING BACK!
